Friendly staff but was served cold food that had to be re heated

As it was a lovely day and my birthday I said to my visiting family let's go to the beach. After checking their website which said it was open, we decided we would purchase food and drink from the cafe. After arriving and paying for parking for 3 cars we went down on the beach only to discover the cafe was closed!!! You can imagine our disappointment especially as we had young children who were very thirsty as it was a warm day and we eventually had to leave.

We have tried 2 times to eat here. We did a google search and it showed him open, but sadly after walking from Broadstairs he was not. The following Saturday, we pm the cafe who told us they were open ,so repeated the expedition . Yes he was open, but only for ice cream, coffee etc. When we asked him why he did not make this clear before we set off he seemed bemused, and not the slightest bit understanding. They have an extensive hot menu. Some seating inside but very limited outside.

Food was OK.....its been better in the past

Fraudulent behavior. Check your reciepts after paying. I was charged 50 pound instead of 5 pounds for purchasing two ice creams. It took multiple phone calls and the better part of a week to get the refund.

Welcomed by staff, viewed the menu. Prices were reasonable, £5 sandwich filled to the brim and a good portion of chips for £3.50. The kitchen had run out of vegan sausages, but it was later in the day of Sunday, so that’s understandable. Seating area a little small, often brushed past by people but it is what it is.

Did not eat there but the coffee and hot chocolate were good. Very clean inside and friendly staff

The steak burger was great. I didn’t expect that for a cafe next to the beach. The staff were also very friendly.

Brilliant place providing a great service! Mark & Rebeca (sorry if names are wrong) were incredibly patient with my friend who is autistic. No pressure cafe and it is lovely that there are now some inside seats. Thanks for providing a great little spot to grab and ice cream and coffee guy =) (they sell loads more too)

Lovely little cafe on the beach! Stopped while on a run and was pleasantly surprised that they had vegan bacon on offer, and alternate milk options. Great service, can imagine it would get busy on a sunny day. There are a few tables inside but food is served in a takeaway box to eat on the beach if you would prefer

Lovely little beach side cafe. Food was really good. Pleasant quick service. I can see this being a very popular spot when the weather is at its peak. Food, snacks, hot and cold drinks available to take away, and a few items for sales if one forgets any beach items.

Actually went to the Joss Bay. Not Joss BayCafe. Beautiful beach. Clean and unspoiled.Absolute sun trap all day. Not crowded during the week but I would suspect the beach gets busier during the weekend. Adequate facilities where you can hire deck chairs or/ and manual sunscreens for shading. Decent parking bays which is a short walk to the beach. Will be revisting soon.

Amazing beach. Parking right there and snacks drink etc right in the beach. Can't wait to take granddaughter back there

Love this beach! Park on the top of the hill for £1 per hour and a very short walk down to the lovely sandy beach. Ok public toilets and a small cafe too. And for the more adventurist there's also a surf and paddle board school.

It's open, it serves good hot and cold drinks (very cold!) and hot and cold drinks, at reasonable prices. You have to fight the seagulls for the food, but that's not the café's fault!

Nice sandy beach, with rock pools when tide is out. Great for the children.

Our group of 5 got various coffees, hot chocolate and with oat milk. A good quality coffee and excellent friendly service! We all ordered breakfast sandwiches with either egg or bacon - all were made fresh to order and the granary bread was absolutely delicious! There are limited benches but there's a whole beach if you're set up there for the day.

We had a great breakfast looking out over the bay and sea. Great coffee. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will be back.

Beach-side shop which also sells Takeaway food, chips burgers etc. Prices reasonable and food okay, but waiting time can be excessive when its busy, ie hot sunny days during school holidays, especially weekends. Luckily hot sunny days have been uncommon for a few years now :[
