Just ordered our first takeaway from John’s and have now found ourselves our new go-to Chinese restaurant! Delicious food delivered quickly and with very reasonable prices. Perfect! 🥳👍

The food is lacklustre. The duck fried rice is pale, pretty much duck mixed into egg fried rice. The Singapore fried rice lacks flavour, the king prawn in oyster sauce reeks weirdly.

Best in the area, just lots of good fresh things packed into the dishes. Nice people too.

Really great and consistently great standard Chinese takeaway. It's always fresh, and the owners are super friendly. If you want a Chinese takeaway, then you won't go wrong ordering from here.

Very disappointing takeaway. The prawn balls were 'doughy' rather than crisp, the special 'fried' rice was more like boiled, and the sweet and sour sauce was in a half-cup and wasn't enough. Service was swift, so no queue to explain the food not being cooked to a decent manner...the spring rolls were nice, though.

Just absolutely good and delicious food. Great staffs. My chow mien house special is one among millions. Try it. My favourite Chinese restaurant for now.

Food was nice enough but the delivery took over 2 hours to arrive. When we called for an update around an hour into waiting and were shortly told we were 'next'. We weren't given any compensation or apology, during this call or after.

Nah! Error! Waste of money. I called to make a complaint and the lady just said, "sorry about that". I bit something like stone that I had to spit out into a bag. I was so hungry after a long day...not good at all. Not fair!

I really doubt the authenticity of the 5 star reviews. People write reviews to warn others if thing are bad like me. The food was awful, stinking of too much vinegar and too oily as well. cannot recommend at all to anyone lese. Was my last order as well.

How people can say this place is good I'd beyond me the worst chicken balls I've ever had the batter was bending like a fried donut that had been left to harden ...then the curry sauce that has a inch of grease on the top and the special fried rice that looks like boiled rice from uncle Ben's.... never again will I purchase I only tried because modern China in birkbeck is closed for 3weeks ..avoid at all costs

The best around!! Honestly don’t understand the bad reviews! This is the best, consistent and fresh Chinese around! I have numerous friends and family that now use Jon’s and they agree they haven’t found a better Chinese takeaway!! I like the fact you can see into the kitchen which just shows everything is clean, etc. It’s never greasy which I find rare compared to other Chinese takeaways I’ve had from numerous other places in the past - nothing bad to say about this place. Thank you!

Absolutely delicious food. Always piping hot and full of flavour. The rice is especially good as it is not overly oily. Recommend the grilled dumplings; wonderful.

Had from here twice now and both times we really enjoyed the food. Very reasonable for quality of food. Loved salt and chilli prawns and mixed starter real tender meaty ribs I would recommend not many nice Chinese around the area. Delivery on time no complaints

I enjoyed the ho fun noodles and the spring rolls that I bought here and I believe the price point was fair for the food ordered.

If I could give this zero stars then I would. Quite possibly the worst Chinese I think I have ever tasted. The chow mein was unedible due to being so salty, chips arrived cold and soggy, rice was hard and the kung po prawn was cold and not fresh. The whole thing had to go in the bin…AVOID

John’s Kitchen is amazing. I usually don’t like some Chinese takeaways because it can be so oily but here they don’t make it oily. Their ho fun and sweet and sour is the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend this place

This food looks and tastes fake and disgusting adding pineapples to food that doesn’t Need it put fat chunks of pineapples put GARLIC all over the top was just disgusting. It’s like the Indian Chinese restaurants that try make them Chinese dishes.

Excellent food! So fresh and quick. We always get the chicken curry with rice and piping hot chips!

The best place I've been in ages. The people there fuel the shop with a warm and nice aura. As well as the food is very delicious unlike other places which only care about money and will make sloppy food, this place is amazing and the prices for the food is a great deal.

Looking for a chinese takeaway after going to the the gym and visited here after reading reviews. Must say wasn’t disappointed as plenty of choice, large portions and a great price. So nice to get decent sized pancake rolls with the starters for 2 people! Will definitely use again as they also offer a delivery service!

The best chinese take away in Beckenham! Not salty, not greasy. Tried several other take aways but nothing will beats Johns kitchen. Quick Delivery and polite staff.

Love this place! Food is prepared quickly to an excellent standard in the large on-site kitchen. All of it really good quality. And, no discernible additives to add flavour! All seems good and natural!
