A good pub in the city centre. Very nice and welcoming staff. Went for an early dinner and tried their Foxes Classic - Chicken Rob Roy which was chicken breasts stuffed with haggis served on a bed of creamy mashed potato with seasonal vegetables finished with a rich creamy whisky sauce. It was very fulfilling and costed me £16.95. Good service overall, the server checked with us couple of times and food didn’t take much long to arrive. In terms of drinks they have wide range of fan favourite draughts, bottled beers, spirits, wines and soft drinks. They also have occasional guest draughts and ales if you fancy trying something new. They have a 360 degree bar allowing you to be served quickly from any angle. They accept cash as well as contactless payments. This place is also great for night outs, good music and live music.

If you have just arrived in Inverness and don't have big expectations, Foxies is the right place: a typically British jovial environment, fast and polite staff, excellent dishes and beers. Advised.

was in here on Wednesday lunch time with the wife and dog,had a good lunch,good pint and the staff were very friendly,got the impression it would be really good for a night out

We were pleasantly surprised since it seems more like a place dedicated to having a few drinks, its menu is extensive and they have good dishes in addition to the typical Scottish ones. My recommendation is the beef dish.

Nice cozy pub by the river. We especially loved their fish and chips. The chips were perfectly fried and seasoned. With crunch in most of them. Fantastic service, we felt really well taken care of. They even switched out the cutlery and’s plates after each course. They also have live music after 10:30!

Came into Johnny Foxes for tea tonight on an evening out in Inverness. Great decision. We've been before and as before the staff we're very efficient and super friendly. The food is delicious. My husband and I each had different burgers with crispy chips and coleslaw. Their food is made with quality ingredients. Can't be faulted.

Food was average. Young male waiter was great but we sat in a booth and the manager was in the booth next to us making calls and talking so loud we couldn’t hear each other talking. Seriously, make your calls in an office so customers can eat in peace.

Very enjoyable meal with good attentive service.

I went here near New Year and our group was 4 adults and 4 children. The staff were amazing in accommodating a larger group and got us 2 tables in the corner which was perfect. The service was so good and the food matched the service. We had to leave by 10pm due to the children but that was understandable and the staff were really respectful in reminding us to leave. I would definitely return and would recommend to anyone.

The food is good but the staff here are extremely rude I would avoid this place at all costs me and my partner had one drink and he went up to get us another when one of the bar staff flirted with my boyfriend I came over and told him we were together then she told me I was too drunk and she wasn’t serving us anymore I had only had one drink with my meal!! I tried to explain this but I was told that she didn’t care and when I tried to speak to the manager I was told they weren’t there and if I didn’t leave now i would be banned and the police phoned on me safe to say this left me in tears and my trip to Inverness is ruined we definitely won’t be back here!!!!

Steak and guineas pie was delicious. The sauce was addictive. Beef was soft, and pie was great if dipped inside the sauce. 4 stars Fish and chips were out of this world. We loved it from our first bite. The fish was so fresh. Portion wad big. The flour layer was thin enough. The tartar sauce was a great compliment. When we requested more tartar sauce, the server straight away gave us 6 packs. Generous. WOW. 5 stars The special local beer with ginger was so nice. It was great to take along with the abundant chips. 5 stars There was no queue time for the table on subday night 7pm. Serving within 5 minutes upon ordering.

My father came in here two times recently He is now banned for asking for mash potatoes instead chips We don’t understand why this caused such an issue On his first visit he was told he could not get mash potatoes yet after waitress asked kitchen, they came with mash potatoes On the second visit he made same request he had also ordered one for his partner After the request not being answered he assumed they had forgotten and they decided to cut their losses and get a drink 20 minutes later a steak with mash came but only one After my father said he’d rather not eat alone the manager came and banned from him coming back It was just a mash potatoes A staple of Ireland if you ask me, shame it wasn’t reflected in this Irish bar

Quiet Sunday afternoon pub grub and a drink. Food was lovely. Great friendly staff.

Inverness can get really busy in the evening so I went in early to beat the crowds. They were setting up for a packed Saturday night and were fully reserved. But since I was early they found me a seat. The whole staff was super nice and I didn't feel rushed at all. I was told when they sat me they needed the table in 1.5 hours (even with dessert I didn't need that long) the steak was spectacular and the brownie for dessert was pure heaven. I'll definitely go back.

Been twice, met with friendly faces and a clean bar, lively and a good place to be. Top tip. Book a table somewhere else otherwise you'll be there all night.

Awesome Pub, great people, good food. Turned into a massive party after 22h with live music and a club attached. Wicked.

We came up from Glasgow and were having an amazing night all night with my partner going out a few times as he smokes. He was talking to the bouncer all night and near the end of the night he decided to tell my partner he was going to put him out earlier in the night. My partner was a bit confused by this as they were fine all night. He told him he wasn't getting back in and when my partner asked to get me or if they would go with him or get me himself he was told no. My partner got angry by this point as he only wanted to get me to leave. He was then restrained said bouncer kept saying I'm phoning the police and I'm going to get you the jail tonight. My partner told him to phone the police. He was told to relax while they pushed his arm up his back which was obviously hurting him so couldn't relax, this has resulted in his shoulder being injured. When the police came I had just got outside and they had no problem with my partner and could see he was being reasonable and actually questioned what they were doing there. Think you need to have a look at your security, I don't know if he decided he didn't like my partners accent or what it was but his behaviour was unacceptable. My partner ended up shouting at him as we walked away which I do not condone in anyway whatsoever but I understand his anger in the matter when he was not allowed back in for no reason and couldn't even get to me to let me know what was going on, even if he wasn't allowed back in the security could have came and got me to leave.

NOS ENCANTÓ. Desde el primer momento el servicio fue impecable. La comida estaba buenísima tanto el guiness pie como el pollo relleno de haggis. Cuando nos trajeron los platos vieron que íbamos a compartir y sin pedirlo nos trajeron dos platitos, además se llevaron uno de los dos platos para mantenerlo caliente mientras comíamos el otro. La mujer que nos atendió fue muy servicial y una pena que no pudimos dejar propina porque no llevábamos libras en efectivo, pero nos hubiera encantado

We were on a Carnival Cruise Line excursion that included lunch… we ditched the lunch once we found this place and it was SO worth it!!! The people were so incredibly kind and the food was OMG so good!!! I had the fish and chips and my husband had some meat stew that had a huge fluffy warm bread on the top. We also got sticky toffee for dessert and it melted in our mouths!! We loved the staff and the atmosphere and the service was incredible! Thank you Johnny Foxes!!!

We really enjoyed our experience last night. Our food and drinks were great and our waitress, Sarah, was so lovely and attentive. Sarah made our experience truly a wonderful evening.

Brilliant Burgers and beer. Combo starter was mainly wedges though, so I'd pick something else if we went back. Staff friendly and good selection of drinks on offer.

Our first time in Inverness and we simply walked in and my goodness!!! Best night of live music. Me and my sister took in all the cultural music with a modern twist ~ absolutely fantastic 👌 I would recommend it 💯 and if back, wouldn't miss a night in there!! Keep it up! Great stuff!

We came here on a Saturday night which was a lot of fun, filled with both people our age and some more middle aged folks which was nice. Bar staff were lovely but firm with those who were taking the mick which was good. The next day we went for lunch and really enjoyed the vegan burger which was a nice change because we find a lot of pubs like this don’t bother with making their vegan burgers any good. But this was really tasty and loved the touch of the vegan halloumi :)

Food is terrible, pizza is like store bought pizza the poor quality mozzarella leaves a strange taste in the mouth and the flower on the pizza base leaves a flour film in your mouth The onion rings are ridiculous super flakey pile of oil and get cold super quick due to the terrible batter that doesn't stick The garlic bread is served with salad dispite not being listed on the menu!?!?!?!?

Lovely lovely lovely! Amazing menu with lots of options for everyone. I started with the soup of the day with the chunky bread and oh my goodness, very appropriate for the weather, loved it. Then for the main course I chose the Wild Scottish Venison Medallion and I was a bit afraid about the sauce but nothing to worry about because it was delicious, the meat was savory and the sauce gave it a nice touch. Of course at some point of the night I had a Guinness, delicious as usual. The service was incredibly fast, you have no idea and the people working there were lovely 🥰🫶🏼.

We were looking for somewhere to eat with a couple of pints and found this place on Google Maps. We gave it a go and didn't regret our choice one bit. The food was absolutely fantastic. I had the chicken stuffed with haggis. My two friends had venison and the haggis pizza. Service was very swift and there was plenty of beer choice. We were extremely impressed at the quality of the meals against the prices. All in all, it was fabulous. Great, friendly staff, super clean and a lovely warm ambiance. If we're ever back in Inverness we would definitely go here again.

A regular haunt for us when visiting Inverness. Food is good and reasonably priced, as are drinks. This time, we got a window booth and enjoyed drinks and people watching until the food arrived. Good service and friendly staff

Came in for dinner without a reservation and only waited about 10 minutes. Nice, lovely restaurant/pub that is more restaurant. The Cullen Skink was incredible. Fish and chips were also solid

Kicked off a 7 week extended stay in the Inverness / Loch Ness area with a couple of pints of fine Guinness and a super serving of Chicken Rob Roy! Warm, welcoming and wonderfully situated on the banks of the River Ness, a wee visit to Johnny Foxes is definitely one of the things to do on your visit here!

Amazing. We are on holiday from Australia and we enjoyed everything about this place. Massive portions of food and freshly cooked.

Visited here very often whilst in Inverness for work and have never had a bad experience- service always good food always delicious. The one time there was an issue, a fight between some customers- which is very rare here, the security were on it within 5 seconds and it was dealt with very well and no one outside of those fighting were caught up. Staff great, atmosphere great food great atmosphere top notch

Visited here during the Inverness marathon - we heard good things about it here, so thought we would try it. The staff are very friendly, but not as attentive as we would have hoped. We came for some dinner, which consisted of a sharing platter, 3x pizzas and a burger. The platter was nice, but a little greasy. The pizzas were really disappointing - I had to order one without cheese due to intolerance and the bases on each pizza were thick and bread-like (pretty convinced they were pre-made frozen bases). My pizza was extremely dry, and those who got cheese said it was very stodgy. Not one of us could finish the pizza. The burger on the other hand was tasty, but on the heavier side. The staff (who I appreciate were busy) had forgotten to bring us our drinks and to take our plates away/organise the bill - but it was no issue to go up to the bar and simply ask for these things :) The environment was warm and friendly, and I suspect it may be a better place to drink than to eat. So I would recommend it here for a night out - it also appeared that they played live music due to having a bandstand set up, which I imagine would be fun.

The steak meat pie was delicious! Also had the pesto and bruschetta which were yummy. Overall the food exceeded expectations and the general vibe was fun. We went twice though and both times had to get up and flag someone down to bring our check so they could improve on checking in with customers after food is brought. But the staff are very nice & friendly and if you’re not in a hurry, it’s no big deal.

En vacances je cherchais à manger la cuisine locale et dans un pub. Allez chez eux , tres bon rapport qualité prix et les personnes sont tres aimables. Il y a du choix, c'est frais et aussi quelques plats pour les petites faims. Je recommande vivement.

Soup was wonderful, drinks were delicious, Caesar salad was just okay, not enough flavor in the dressing and to much of it. Would still recommend as we loved the atmosphere.
