¡Me encanta!

Never knew it existed til yesterday but first impressions are good. Couldn't fault the all day breakfast and service was quick too. Well worth a visit if nearby. Just a shame it's not a bit closer to town.

... then make the trip out of the posher centre of Cheltenham. I arrived at 11 am and the place was buzzing. It was half-term and the mix included everyone from a guy in his eighties poring over his laptop to families with toddlers. My standard café food is cheese omelette, chips and beans. There was no omelette on the menu but that was no problem. A well-cooked omelette arrived, along with crisp chips and good quality beans. This is not haute cuisine, it's a local caff. And as such was excellent.

With time to spare, I took a stroll round some of the Cheltenham streets on a crisp and sunny December day and came across Joe's. If you are looking for a modern "gourmet" experience on a tiny plate this is not for you, but if you seek excellent food and a friendly, cheerful welcome then visit this cafe. Traditional foods, well prepared and at very fair prices. Next time in town, I will make sure my stroll takes me along St Paul's Road. Recommended.

The food is nice here but this really is a no frills greasy spoon. It wouldn't win any awards for food but it is simple, cheap and tasty with a friendly atmosphere. A perfect hangover breakfast!

Simple no fuss greasy spoon. You get what you pay for really- the fry up was nice and the staff were really friendly! Apart from that the only downside was not ring able to pay on card which was a bit of a pain as the nearest cash point is the brewery.

Every time i fly to the UK, i head down to see family in Bristol...but not before I take a detour to Cheltenham to grab breakfast at Joe's. Salivating over pictures of great British Breakfasts for months is rewarded when i sit down at this lovely cafe. The prices are great, the service is better than most 5* restaurants, and the food is, and as been without fail, gorgeous. New York City has many great things...Joe's Cafe aint one...so its worth the 3,500 mile flight to get there!

I live in Scotland and ive been to many cafes and restaurants all around the UK, but Joes Cafe is one I can 100% recommend to anyone who lives or is visiting Cheltenham. The service is superb, staff and locals unbelievably friendly, food is fresh and cooked to perfection and prices are very attractive! I would recommend the belly buster breakfast, or if you like baguettes, try sausage and egg on a French stick...yum! 10 out of 10.

Very good still, even though it lost the number3 brand. Same chef, same team, just no Phil. New menus, theme nights and a great wine list. Beer/ale selection can be a little up and down, but they always have 3-4 to pick from Great beer garden too

The cafe/restaurant has a lovely menu, very nice staff and nice decor/chairs/environment. We ordered a coronation chicken sandwich and two drinks - lemon presse and fresh orange juice. The sandwich was actually a roll and the contents contained very little chicken. The menu does mention chutney and mayonnaise but chicken breast is the first ingredient mentioned. The filling was more like a pickle with tiny dots of chicken. And it was quite definitely not a sandwich. The lemon presse was a lemon juice with water on the side which would have been ok but it was £3.50 from memory. My orange juice was lovely. So very mixed and quite expensive for what it was - there's a difference between an £8 or £9 sandwich and roll. I accept cafes need to make a profit, but customers also need reasonable value for money and to be presented with something resembling what they ordered.
