Just had breakfast before getting train to london as we wanted something to set us up for the day. Unfortuntly it wasn't as i expected after hearing good reviews from friends. Bacon & sausage overcooked, egg's we're scrambled when i hate scrambled egg & no choice or description on menu. Toast was burnt too. If you only do scrambled egg then you need to say that on menu. Not a very good experiance!!

This is a nice little cafe, if you want fresh homemade food, had the English breakfast here, very nice, not at all expensive, The 2 ladies here on this day were very welcoming, friendly, and I absolutely love the design of there kitchen, if ever you need a quick bite or drink, I highly recommend you stop here 😀

Food badly cooked, sausage actually broke into pieces it was that hard. No customer concern. Only offered scrambled egg which was edible, and one piece of bacon almost like shoe leather.

This is a great place to visit whether it's for a hot or cold drink and a slice of cake, toast or lunch. I had the lemon cake with a decaf, oat milk latte which was lovely.

My trip here was fabulous. The lovely lady serving us was very good. She checked in later to make sure it was okay. We ordered a baguette and a shepherds pie- both were delicious and great value for money. We ordered a tea, coffee, shepherds pie and a baguette and it came to £14! Would definitely come here again!

Jocelyn's is a sweet little cafe / coffee shop that we found on accident in the Enterprise centre. The staff were welcoming and quite quirky actually (we added to their tip jar), although there was a short wait for part of our order, we didn't mind plus we were served delicious food. The hot chocolate was absolutely delicious. Toasties were perfectly done and generously portioned. Prices are fair. Condiments were available free of charge for customers. On this hot day, the shop was pleasantly cool also. 😊

Soup of the day is carrot and parsnip. It’s excellent. Lasagna is a bit salty for me while my British friend like it very much. The owner Jocelyn is a very nice Pilipino. I took some pics with her!

The room I booked was tiny and had a very strong sewage smell so asked to be moved. They kindly obliged to a different room which was bigger, clean and well organised but we were disturbed all night by the sound of an air con unit outside despite the window being closed. This really needs addressing as it kept us awake. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The downstairs of the hotel seemed really lovely and the breakfast room looked inviting (we ate breakfast elsewhere). The location is fabulous, right by the beach, but you do need to pay for parking. Overall I would return if we had a quiet room that was slightly bigger. The facilities were very basic. The bed was 2 singles pushed together but was comfy. The room was cold, blankets really should be provided or the heating sorted as the rads were cold. Our view was not nice, car park and roof of another part of the hotel with the noisy air con unit on it. Very disappointed and we cancelled our second night. It's dog friendly which is helpful but there is a charge which we weren't told about.

Underwhelming. Handily placed for the Devonshire Park Theatre across the road, and we came here for a pre-show lunch. The space is nice and airy and it’s a good place for a chat. But our fish and chips wasn’t a patch on the Holiday Inn next door (which was temporarily closed) - fish was a bit dry and had too much batter, and the chips were thin and not what you’d normally expect with fish. Service was a bit offhand too. And I query whether they can substantiate the claim that their cod is ‘locally caught’ since most cod sold in the UK is from Iceland, Norway and the Barents Sea.
