The East Beach Hotel in Eastbourne

Wonderful hotel - made us and our dog extremely welcome! We had an exec room which had a fantastic view over the seafront where we could sit on a sofa and watch the world go by. The manager there is great - spent a lot of time chatting to us, and very knowledgeable about his drinks! Made us fantastic cocktails too! Would highly recommend this place to stay if you're visiting Beachy Head of walking the Seven Sisters.

Seafront hotel. Staff are amazing. Very clean, quiet and comfy. I couldnt give a higher recommendation. The price for what you get was fantastic. I have nothing bad to say. Even if you dont stay they have a great bar with lovely atmosphere.

A large group consisting of mainly elderly stayed at East Beach Hotel for a long weekend. The location was prime. If you look up the word “hospitality “ in the dictionary “East Beach Hotel “ should be mentioned since from our arrival until our departure all staff epitomised hospitality! The rooms were lovely. Quality beds and showers. The food served was good with options provided. Fabulous view front of house. The beach is literally on their doorstep! I certainly will return and would not hesitate to recommend East Beach Hotel to others.

Quite small hotel. 30 odd rooms. Inviting decor. Receptionist very kind. She offered upgrade of the room for additional charge. We’ve had a sea view room for over £100. I personally think it wasn’t worth the money. View was amazing but also street in front so it was quite noisy. We had double room however two single beds were joined together and sleeping wasn’t too comfortable. Shower room extremely small. No hangers for clothing and not enough space to turn around in there. Free on street parking available, working few min walk, however is limited. Hotel offers zone H scratch cards for £2.20 per day which is a bonus.

The hotel was great, fantastic location. Stayed in a std twin room, plenty of tea, coffee and milk in the room, which got replenished daily. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast and evening meals were great and the staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for you. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

It is a great hotel with fantastic views from the balcony. Cheerful and attentive staff with a great breakfast and a proper comfy bed. We love our stay here and would highly recommend it. Parking was not an issue. There were plenty of spaces along the front, and you can get a car parking permit for only £2:20 which lasts until 11 o' clock the next day.

We stayed at this hotel in July 2024. The hotel is very well located, 1 minute from the beach, close to shops and restaurants, the hotel is right on the main street. Very clean, room cleaning every day, very nice decor of the rooms and the entire hotel. Defects: for breakfast every day English breakfast and toast, you can get a bit bored because there is nothing else to choose from. No air conditioning in the rooms and the hotel or fans.

The checking in process was efficient, and the staff generally helpful and friendly. Good is well prepared and tasty, but quite expensive if you only choose the cooked breakfast. Again staff are friendly and respond to requests with enthusiasm. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a low budget stay.

Very nice, clean, comfortable. A beautiful view from the window, the room and hotel arrangement are classy. The staff was very nice and helpful. I recommend the hotel and will definitely come back

I went for Bottomless Brunch on Saturday (01.06) with a group of friends and honestly can not recommend it enough. We were sat in the conservatory, which worried us slightly as we were away from staff. However, we didn't need to worry. The staff were amazing, especially Amy our waitress. She made sure the drinks were flowing and was absolutely amazing! The cocktails were outstanding, as was the food! We will be back soon!! My only recommendation would be to have the music playing where we were sat to add to the atmosphere.

We came here for the bottomless brunch on Saturday. The food was amazing! The cocktails were so good as well. The staff were lovely too. Amy was a great help. It’s great to have an option if you want Prosecco or cocktails. Lovely atmosphere too.

Really love this hotel! The staff at the counter makes us feel welcome and you can fill up your water at the fromt desk before going for the beach walks. The breakfast rooms are well-lit with sun and you can see the seaside. The breakfast menu has 3 main options: big breakfast, oat porridge and cereal selection. The lounge room is comfy and very nicely furnished. Not too hot and not too cold. The location is close enough to the beach but not too close to the sheikh's pier where the hustle and bustle is about. So not much noise distraction. I love the fact that it is located along the coastline and you could literally see the sunrise from your room ( we booked the executive room on first floor and the bed is the largest i ve ever been in ). Hairdryer, towels and toiletries are provided and very complete. I wish I could go back and do it all over again.

Went for a training course, lovely venue

We had a wonderful stay here at East Beach and can't wait to be back on day. The care and customer service is top notch, and we felt so well taken care of. Our room was clean, I particularly liked the decor and the views from the window. Very highly recommended.

My wife and I had our wedding reception at the East Beach Hotel and we were blown away. All the staff were attentive, helpful and polite, at all times. We used both function rooms and they both had fantastic decor. We were also extremely satisfied with the fair price agreed upon. Choosing the buffet was made very straightforward by how flexible the staff were (including the chef). When this food was then served on the day, it was excellent. We never felt nervous asking any questions, at any time and the service was very good and accommodating throughout. Particularly when the staff were faced with a challenging situation in someone getting injured (through no fault of the hotel)! Our guests specifically complimented everything about the occasion, the food and the East Beach Hotel in general. All in all, we would definitely use the East Beach Hotel again for other events, and we couldn’t recommend it more. We entrusted them with the most special and beautiful time of our lives and they were absolutely brilliant. Our reception was perfect, just how we imagined so thank you to everyone at the East Beach Hotel!

Lovely hotel, beautiful rooms. I had a different room to the times before and this one although nice needed bedside lights. There were high level lights over the head of the bed but they were for me too bright and the switch was round the corner. Would also like plugs nearer the bed to be able to use devices whilst plugged in. Love the breakfast too. I suffer from tinnitus so suffered from the background music in the restaurant so will need to go back to the 2nd floor next time! Love the hotel so will definitely be back!

Haven’t stayed here but wouldn’t hesitate to! Went for a bottomless cocktail brunch and loved every minute. Staff were lovely, food was great and the cocktails were fab! Loved it so much… I’m going again tomorrow with different friends! The hotel has a lovely feel and being able to see the sea is the best! Thanks all… see you again tomorrow!! x

One of the nicest hotels along the Eastbourne sea front at very reasonable prices. The staff are all very pleasant and the service is good. Perfectly situated for access to all Eastbourne and surrounding area amenities.

There was no one at the reception when we arrived. Finally when the receptionist did come, she had no idea about what kind of room we booked even after we gave her our booking number and full details. The heater didn't work for our full stay during 3 days and there is no one at the reception to help you with anything. The room was clean when we took the keys but Room service never showed up for 3 days and 2 nights even once. It's a shame because the location of this hotel is really good and but the staff doesn't put no effort into maintaining the guest comfort.
