Papa's Grill in Eastbourne

I booked a function room on 1st March for around 40 people for our Golden Wedding Anniversary party, right from my first contact with Orla everything went great, Orla put us at ease from the start, the function room had a very reasonably price bar, we had a hot and cold buffet which was lovely, Orla booked us a DJ for the evening which was just right for us all, some of our guests booked rooms for the night and everyone was happy, we had a great breakfast in the morning. Everyone of the staff we met were lovely and very helpful. I highly recommend the East Beach Hotel. Thank you all for looking after us all.

Came here to do a cocktail class and would 100% come back and recommend to everyone I know. Had a great evening, lovely atmosphere and Charlotte the owner was amazing, best place I've been to in a long time.

Fabulous brunch once again - this place never disappoints- lovely staff who cannot do enough and beautiful views of the lake too - highly recommend , will be back 😀

Underwhelming. Handily placed for the Devonshire Park Theatre across the road, and we came here for a pre-show lunch. The space is nice and airy and it’s a good place for a chat. But our fish and chips wasn’t a patch on the Holiday Inn next door (which was temporarily closed) - fish was a bit dry and had too much batter, and the chips were thin and not what you’d normally expect with fish. Service was a bit offhand too. And I query whether they can substantiate the claim that their cod is ‘locally caught’ since most cod sold in the UK is from Iceland, Norway and the Barents Sea.

Food was fine but adding peri-peri in every dishes doesn’t help. The sauce (mustard and garlic mayo with other ingredients ) served with grilled chicken was delicious. Chicken wings could have done better
