Used to be a very well run pub Now it’s just a meeting place for all the single mums in the area to let there kids run amok Went there today for breakfast and before you knew it they all started to turn up,kids running about everywhere,jumping over everything,blowing whistles,screaming while there mums are either outside smoking ,vaping or on there phones,most of the mums looked half cut from the night before..this is at 10.45 in the morning Zero control over them I was watching the locals who were spending money starting to leave as staff wasn’t doing nothing to stop it Eventually a local asked one of the staff to tell them to stop it which she asked the kids to go over where there mums were Like I said was a good pub but now the chav mums have taken over

Where do I start.. The main manager is an alleged "psychopath" (stated by other customers) who allegedly glassed someone in the premises of this pub, causing them to bleed frantically, 3 months ago - but is still working in this pub to this day. Other senior members of staff have had altercations over alleged racism and prejudice towards minority ethnic customers. Senior member no. 3 had also been allegedly been discriminatory towards customers who look young causing harassment and distress and ruining their stay, in attempt of abuse of power. Overall, this place has no place in 21st century London as it does not align with modern day values including diversity and inclusivity towards all races, genders and sexes. Other reports of customers attempting to enter the back in fear, to avoid any potential discrimination. As customers we do hope this ends or there should be a replacement of managerial positions, so that people feel equal and welcome.

This pub does not have music so it’s ideal for a chat. The best thing, though is the food. It’s very cheap and the service is excellent. For pub food it is great. Very tasty. Definitely worth a try. The fish and chips is the highlight for me.

Great selection of real ales available and well kept by managers who take an Interest in what they are ordering in to keep the regulars happy. A very busy and popular pub but fast and efficient service from friendly bar staff. The food is ok particularly curry night and hygiene standards good. I have been visiting for many years now and Imo one of the best Wetherspoons around.

Really nice pub. Have been going here for the past six years. Shame about the manager Kelvin who thinks he owns the place. If you disagree with him he kicks you out no listening to reason. Shame JJ moons have such a insecure power hungry person in charge.

It’s our family tradition to go for a pub lunch on Christmas Eve, not having visited Moons since before the pandemic I was surprised to see the upper deck at the back of the pub had been crammed with tables and mismatching chairs very little room to get between them,our table was rather sticky as though it hadn’t been cleaned recently. There were 3 adults and 2 children in our group, the adults had fish and chips, the peas weren’t cooked they were like cannon balls , my grandchildrens meals were ok. Over all nothing special

Feeling hungry I decided to splash out on the top of the range Christmas turkey dinner. A bit of a disappointment! The turkey was re-formed meat roll, and chef hadn’t even bothered to separate the 4 slices. The mash was ok but stodgy . The carrots and parsnips were just a couple of small pieces of each. But worst was the gravy, not a separate little jug like you get with the steak an kidney pie, but a tiny dribble of brown liquid dried up on the meat. With lots of mash to eat, proper gravy was needed! Fortunately a very helpful member of staff went into the kitchen and got me some gravy! But the overall meal was a two out of five! Staff service has pushed my score up to three, but I won’t be ordering another turkey meal this Christmas!! People ask “how does Wetherspoon make its profit when the drinks are so cheap?” Answer “ on overpriced poor value Christmas turkey dinners!!”

I think I can claim the longest ever wait for a breakfast, 48mins. I know it was busy, but I had to ask 2 different staff members, one didn't even come back to me with an answer. I have been using this establishment since it 1991, and regularly enjoy it. Today was an absolute nightmare. I will be thinking twice before I come for breakfast, or any other meal again.

I decided to visit this Wetherspoons as the other close ones didn't have such favourable reviews. Parking was easy (there is a council car park at the back). I went for a large breakfast to set me up for the day with a refillable coffee. The place was clean and friendly with great service. Also good to see was a large choice of real ales. Many other customers in for breakfast as well.

I'm quite horrified by the bad reviews as living locally I visit here often and - apart from one unfortunte incident - have always had good food and service. The breakfasts are such amazing value for money and the coffee is fresh and hot AND bottomless. We're fortunate in having such a good Wetherspoons that is our local

The staff are useless, they charge you for drinks that don't arrive and they are very rude. Worst pub experience possible

This is our local Wetherspoons and the food is very nice but what spoils it is a member of staff there (woman with white hair) who is frequently rude and unhelpful to us. This happened yet again today and we ended up eating elsewhere.

Nice and cheap, but my god , the bar staff are completely useless. They will charge you for your drink and forget to give you your drink 🤷🏼‍♂️

This was my first visit, but it won't be my last, given my experience. A friend and I decided to pop in for food, and took advantage of the steak club offer, with a drink, for £8.70 per person. Great welcome and everything explained as we entered the premises. We found a table, ordered our food and drink via the app, and then sat back. Food and drinks arrived promptly, by friendly staff, who were working hard to clear other tables and clean up. A great experience and I'll definitely be back for more food. Our steaks, by the way, were done to perfection. I like mine rare, whilst my friend likes hers medium rare. We both left empty plates, and were totally satisfied with the experience.

I haven’t been to a Wetherspoons in years! So I was reminded at how reasonable and delicious their large traditional breakfast was! The place was clean and friendly, great service.

Had a lovely time at moons. Made even better by the politest barman I’ve ever met in my life, Richard. personally work in hospitality and I’m a good barmaid but this man made our experience very lovely, especially on a Sunday when you’re sick of work and you just want to go home from work, but this man was very enthusiastic and the hospitality was amazing still on a Sunday at 10 o clock. Lots of respect for this man and the whole of moons staff, keep up the good work you lot!

Usual cheap and cheerful wetherspoons pub, breakfast absolutely awful served on cold plates and cold food

Very busy pub with lively atmosphere on Saturday evening. Managed to find a table that was just being vacated. It's going to be good pub grub rather than fine dining and where else can you get a decent, tasty burger (New York) with fries and onion rings plus a pint for well under a tenner? Slightly worried that it might take an age to place an order at the bar and have it served, I downloaded the Wetherspoon App and placed and paid for our order - it was served to our table within a few minutes. Very enjoyable food, drink and atmosphere - but probably not ideal for a quiet romantic meal.

we enjoyed a nice authentic breakfast here and everything was apt and neat. they also had a refill of coffee as much we needed which was a welcomed surprise overall a nice pleasant experience !

Have not been here for ages, came for Sunday lunch, no longer serve Sunday lunch. Opted for rump steak, 10.95 for meal and chips so did not expect the world but would have been nice for it to be edible, it was not.I love steak, don't mind a bit of fat or even gristle but this would have been better to solve my boots with.So tough I sent it back, something I have never done.Food here used to be fantastic.

Been coming here ever since the pub opened all those years ago after it was Woolworths. The manager was excellent . I have breakfast here with my daughter and mother and it ok .but coming here today was a disaster from the start. No more roast dinners how ridiculous the pub is half empty just people drinking and not much food about. I ordered a meal for me and my partner.. I have a lamb shank with rooted roasted vegetables and mashed potato. My partner ordered steak and chips. Order the drinks the Young Girl didn't quite get my drink holder but that's ok we all get confused. Went to the toilet before I got my my food big mistake . The toilets absolutely stunk worst smell ever,if I went to the toilet first would have walked out immediately. Dinner arrived . My partner's stake was like leather well done nearly burnt over-cooked . My lamb shanks on the appearance but I could tell this was just put in the microwave mash potato was hard and not soft. It's very sad as this bar used to be dood for eating on a Sunday. If I was you I would rather go elsewhere. To me now this is just a cheap drinking house sad

Visited Ruislip Manor Spoons for a meal. Staff were excellent and food arrived in a timely manner, nicely presented and always good value. Was lucky to find a table, given it was very busy. Sadly, tables weren’t as clean as you might expect and it was a bit noisy, hence the 4 star rating. Not the biggest Spoons but pleasant enough. Toilets are up a few steps, something to be mindful of.

Had ok meal in ok surroundings. Have been going here years....well since it opened ....and I remember when it was woolies!! Gradually over time this has gone from excellent to good to just ok. Tired surroundings with dirty carpets and tables and menus always feel sticky. It's a shame as wouldn't take much to bring back up to standard. Food ok but just not fab. Jacket potatoes always dry so they give two butters to compensate. Steak ok. Staff lovely and work hard.

A good pub meal. Moons is always busy and the meals are good pub grub. Plentifu; and tasty. Sometimes when they are very busy there can be delays, but this is understandable.

First of all must congratulate all bar staff and servers all very hard working and friendly. Have ordered burgers in last two visits and both times the burgers were so black they were inedible and had to be returned. How any one can think these are fit to serve is beyond me. Overall nice place to drink but do not have a burger even those advertised as gourmet such as the empire burger contained 2 black burnt to a cinder burgers. Please adjust the cooking time.

i came here with my partner and 2 daughters. we had a very enjoyable meal, cooked well and for the value, we couldnt complain! we were served by natalie who was very friendly, made us laugh and made the efforts to entertain our young daughter. i recommend this pub for its value and very welcoming staff.

Good pub filled with locals meeting up to have a good time. Huge choice of beers, ales and spirits available at competitive prices.

Table service was spot on, staff very attentive. Food was a lot better than previous visits. Great atmosphere in general.

This place is slowly going downhill. The place could do with a good clean. The state of the carpet especially on the stairs to the upper level is an absolute disgrace.I did complain about it a while back and apart from a call from the manager saying the carpet had been cleaned and they had changed their cleaning staff, I can see no improvement. Such a terrible shame for a pub in a central position with such good potential

Tuesday 5pm ordered 2 cold tyski, got 2cold tyski, ordered 2 steaks , cooked as ordered, could not fault the meal, it's a pity all weather spoon pubs are not concitant, we both really enjoyed our meal , and nice atmosphere in pub , very polite staff the plate tells the story

Love curry night. Dishes are surprisingly great. Poppadums are class. And you don't have to drink Cobra / Kingfisher. Excellent selection of craft beers. And gins.

I have used this pub for over 20 years and it has always felt the same, maybe down to the continuous stewardship of the old landlord, however I am shocked at the change.

Came in for a quick drink after the football, very busy, but nice and calm atmosphere, definitely a place to go if you want something to eat and a drink while watching the football or cricket.

Drink in there. Great. Atmosphere in there. Great, always busy. Ordered food around 10.20pm and it was crap. Burger has fallen to pieces .. no bacon like we ordered just a slice of lettuce and crumbled burger. Chips were awful, and I specifically asked for my eggs to be runny. They were as hard as nails!! Was 10.45 by time we got our food so wasn’t enough time to send back. Moons is normally great but if orders after a certain time aren’t gonna get the same care and cooking time don’t bother. Shut the kitchen early. Really frustrating as the food is always fine during the day. They just seem to slip in the evening.

easily accessible from Kingsbury tube and worth stopping for to get the usual Weatherspoons value in ale and food, I used it on way to watching a game at Barnet fc, service was good and usual varied selection of real ale , good pre match stop

we were served food within five, yes, FIVE minutes of ordering. Wow, and it was great quality and flavour. Well done team, and on a sunday too.

Sometimes use this branch at lunchtimes. Always seems to be busy no matter what time or day you visit. Staff are friendly and attentive and is generally well managed. I like the silent tv’s which slows Sky News and sometimes horse racing. Good selection of real ales and relatively cheap. Well worth a visit.

I have been regularly to many Wethersp[oons all over the Country. Occasionally I fancy something cheap and tasty, so I have eaten Ham,Eggs & Chips many times. I can tell you that at this pub, they were terrible. I have written to Wetherspoons to inquire if this is now their normal quality or if it is just this pub.

I came to the JJ Moons for a quick drink on a Friday night, the pub is very very close to Ruislip Manor tube station and although there is nothing overly special here (barring the very wooden interior) it’s not a bad pub. There is also a decent ale selection here as well.

My partner and I visited family who live around the corner from the pub for a week and were recommended to try it. We ended up coming in every morning for their breakfast and most evenings for a pint after visiting the city. Great prices for very good food! Their large breakfast is one of the best I have had for only 4.99 pounds! The staff are lovely and the kitchen are super quick even when busy! Wish I had one of these in my area in Sydney would definitely be a regular!

Visited with friends before an NFL game at Wembley. Very busy, but hardly surprising when you take into account that the nearby Wetherspoons in Stanmore has now closed. Reasonable selection of real ales and as with any Wetherspoons you know what you are getting as the drinks, food and the prices are reasonably priced.Only criticism was that they obviously had no idea how busy it was going to be and the kitchen had to shut for about half an hour to allow the food orders to catch up.

4 of us stopped for breakfast before going out for the day, and we all ordered a cooked breakfast. While we were waiting, a table next to us had their food delivered, and after a few minutes they called the server over and told him that all their breakfasts were cold. He took the food away to reheat, but this put us all on our guard. When our food came out, we all tested the temperature, and the food was absolutely stone cold, in fact I think the beans MUST have come straight out of the tin!! We all sent our food back and after a few minutes the breakfasts were returned, and 3 out of the 4 meals were STILL stone cold. We asked for them to be reheated again, but when they came back they were still barely lukewarm, but we had had enough at this point and ate what was edible and left the rest. Never to return!!!!!!!!!

Have Been on various days and times and cannot fault the value for money. Always very clean and staff very friendly and efficient.

My husband and I enjoy going to moons for lunch. We feel so relaxed once we step in. very spacious setting. Good service and good food, coffee and drinks. Wonderful.

we went to moons to celebrate my son in laws birthday 10 of us went everything was great except not impressed with new menu for a sunday as weatherspoons in their wisdom have scrapped the sunday roast dinner the brunch menu was,nt that exciting though the food was ok because this new menu is a bit more elaborate therefore more expensive the food took longer to come I think weatherspoons should rethink the scrapping of the sunday roast before it is to late

Had breakfast in JJ's, great value. They list the calorie content,it put me off the big breakfast which was a massive 1500 calories! I had pancakes and bacon, very nice, plenty and only £2.90. Extensive menus and friendly staff.

Excellent value with great range of ales and bitters, atmosphere pleasant even when very busy. Adequate number of staff behind the bar, so you don't have to wait too long to be served.

Every time we visit this pub/restaurant I am always reminded how good they are.The staff are friendly, the menu is wide and the prices are low. Today, 4 of us had a meal and a drink and the price came to £25 all up. You pay up front at the bar and the food is brought to your table within a couple of minutes by a friendly, smiling waitress, complete with cutlery. Afterwards, the 4 of us had large cappuccino coffees for only £4.20. In Costa or Starbucks, the same drinks would cost you 3 times that!Tuesday is curry day so 2 of us had a curry for £6.40 each and an alcoholic drink is included in the price. The food was hot, fresh and tasty.From the outside, the pub is spoilt a bit by the tables and chairs for the smokers and in the evenings people gather outside especially on a warm night. This is what stops it getting 5 stars. My friend comes up to Wembley sometimes for the footie and they always eat here before going in on the Tube from the station directly opposite.

Standard Wetherspoon fare, but the staff at Ruislip seem to take extra care. Food is better than average. Very busy on a Friday/saturday night.

This seems to be the local pub in the area. It is very busy which is good for the owner, but this affects the service. Might return back for a quick tipple :)

Booked Xmas dinner for 5. Arrived to find a table laid with a cloth in the upstairs restaurant reserved area. Crackers provided too. For the inclusive price of less than £8 !! you get either turkey or salmon with a roast AND incuded is a drink. Given that many pubs charge over £3 for a pint, getting a pint of well kept real ale is outstanding value. Monday was not one of the busier nights and we were very well attended to. The service from Connor and Abi ? was genuinely polite and attentive without seeming forced. If you like to pose with semi empty plates with sauce artistically drizzled over meagre portions - and then brag to your friends how much money you squandered - then this is not for you. OK its not the type of Haute Cuisine where you stop off on the way home to pick up a take away but it is great value for money in a pleasant atmosphere with a great range of drinks on offer - especially real ale.Highly recommended. No posing, posturing or dressing up. Just good grub for a simple night out. I may do a Vicar of Dibley on this Xmas dinner but not more than once on the same day!

A lovely spacious classic style pub with a wide selection of reasonably priced drinks. Come early to get a seat. Wide mixture of ages means everyone can feel at home.

went on a saturday afternoon, busy pub, but was served quickly by what seemed to be the suited and booted manager. chose not to eat but saw food coming out thick and fast.. (not sure if thats good or bad thinking about it now). very much a locals pub and some coarse language used but very quickly nipped in the bud by the ever present manager. pub is directly over the road from ruislip manor tube as 3 or 4 of them seem to be on the met/picc line. will visit again if in the area..

Lively but not too lively, busy but always a table. This is a large pub, wood panelled interior, and 'cubicles' down one side. Fridays, at the end of the week we can have a decent, fish, chips, and peas with a pint or a wine for around £6.50! The main dining area is at the rear up a small flight of stairs. Lots of staff, so no long queues or tables full of glasses. Huge selection of beers, largers, wines etc.. Nice to see the manager Gill always on the door keeping an eye on things. A great safe atmosphere for a pub this size. Cab office opposite as is Ruislip Manot Tube.

Had intended to have lunch there (Sunday) totally put off by the state of the tables being dirty, staff chatting no sense of urgency to clean tables for customers, the worse I've seen the place having been going there over last 20 years.

JJ Moons offers good deals on Ales & ciders every so often. However I have only been there to eat mainly. They do a curry club one day a week & have a very good choice on the menu. Good choice for the kids also. Very good value for money. Would definitely recommend.

We don't often 'go to the pub' but this one never disappoints. Usually come for breakfast or lunch and I truly have never had a bad meal.The staff always come up after serving the meal to check its all okay (don't get that usually)Incredible value for money; very well managed too

I went their with my friend on friday evening. Normal pub food but it's okay.The table need clean as it very sticky. Ask them to wipe but never done.Price is cheap if compare to normal pub.

We came and had the roast dinner in here. It looked so good in the pictures, however it was all clearly frozen food and tasted like a bad school dinner.

Very good pub. Lots of seating but is always very busy with a mixtures of older men standing near the bar and younger people having their pre-drinks. The pub does have a quiz on the first Monday of every month and has very cheap drinks and goo deals.

Come here often when visiting my brother. A great pub with friendly staff. The food is good as is the beer or ale I've been served. Recommended.

This is one of the original Wetherspoons pubs and still one if the best, and is situated next to the station in Ruislip Manor. The food is typical of Wetherspoons, not haut cuisine but very good value pub food, especially on their specials nights.Decent food and drinks at reasonable prices.

I visited here twice for a pint of Real Ale, and it was decent selection of Real Ales and reasoably priced.

I love the chain moons and this particular one is a 5 minute walk from where I live. My family and I regularly book family events e.g Father's Day etc here and the service is always good and making a booking is quick. The menu caters to everyone's likes and they serve an amazing cup of mocha! It's not overly priced, the portions are huge and its a nice vibrant pub no matter what time you go! It's a great local

Having been to a funeral locally we wanted something quick and convenientWe came across this Weatherspoon and it was clean had a quick service and the food arrived very hot and quickly which we both enjoyed.
