Jimmy Macs in Castle Point

We were in the area to look at a car dealers & popped in jimmy macs for breakfast. I have to say what an absolute credit those waitresses are to this place, very attentive & so polite and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely and prices were good too. 👍

Just had our first breakfast at Jimmy Mac’s, attentive staff, atmosphere relaxing but more importantly every bit of our breakfasts was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. Will be back again soon.

Terrible re-cooked fish, cold peas and chips, cheap cuts of chicken and took 30 minutes to be served, I only ate it because I was desperate 😔

Fantastic place. Food is really good. The steak night on Friday is great value. The summer time entertainment is brilliant. Top quality acts performing outside in the sunshine and although I don't want summer to end I can't wait for the Sunday roasts to start again in the winter. Thank you jimmy mac crew for giving us all this.

Visited on bank holiday Monday. Ordered jacket potatoes, burgers, hot dog and drinks for 7 of us including kids. The food was cold when it arrived, served in cardboard boxes and disposable cutlery which broke when trying to eat. Food overall was below average. The music was so loud we had to move around to the front near the road. No umbrellas for shade in the garden. Seems to attract a big drinking crowd due to the music acts so might be ok if you're just going for a drink. Definitely wouldn't look to return or recommend.

First time there never again worst food we have ever had

Said they were open online, walked down to be refused entry due to being ‘closed due to the weather’ Waste of time will not be returning.

Went for a day trip to Canvey Island whilst in Essex, stumbled upon this place and was so pleasantly surprised about how nice the staff were, live music was playing, food and drink were fabulous, well done

Visited Jimmy Mac’s while we were visiting Canvey Island for one night, after seeing an advert for its Friday night steak night offer. Myself and my partner both had some amaretto and cokes, followed by jalapeño cheese bites and steaks. The portion sizes were fantastic! I don’t think I’ve ever had that many chips in a portion! (For that reason alone, I’ll be back) The steaks were cooked perfectly, very juicy and full of flavour. I have to to say the only thing letting the “Diner” down was the deco. It’s very out dated, and not the American diner we thought it would be, but other than that, food was very reasonable prices, staff were all very helpful and friendly! Would definitely visit again!

Love this place! Especially when on the quieter side - brilliant cocktails and fantastic food! Highly recommend the Cheese Bacon Tots and Mozzarella Sticks! Staff are great, friendly and outdoor seating is perfect in the sunshine! Keep up the good work guys! Can't wait to come back!

When on a Friday for Steak night. Excellent food and prices. Can't fault the service

Went for a Soul afternoon. Ample seating Staff quick and helpful. Plenty litter bins around which were emptied frequently. Food hot and never had to wait long. A great place.

1st time there all had different meals 5 of us and it was excellent definitely be going back

the staff excelled! a group of 29 of us were seated and served by happy smiling staff, 26 of us had amazing Steaks, perfectly cooked to our individual requests, the others chose from the menu, great value and excellent food. we asked to meet the chefs, they came out to meet us once service was over. all in all a fantastic evening.

Went here with family. Food's not bad, nothing special. Really nice decore but, BUT(!), there was an odd atmosphere. Staff looked really unmotivated/fed up. Took a while to get the bill (though to be fair they were a bit busy with the outside bar bit). One waitress, the one who delivered our food looked in a right huff. "There you go" she sighed. Even when leaving I said "thank you" to which she shrugged "s' alright"😒.

Today was the first time we have been here in years and I'm not sure whether it has new owners or something but it was nowhere near as good as it used to be, Waited ages for food and it wasn't even busy, didn't have half the things on the menu and when the food arrived it wasn't great, the battered fish goujons were actually fish fingers, the cod was bland and the mushy peas were squished garden peas....won't be returning again

Food is really good, packed well but they missed one item off, couldn’t send the driver back out so someone didn’t get their food. Disappointing

Went there for Steak night and it was fantastic!! Took the the kids with is and they absolutely loved sitting In the american style booths, definitely recommend!! And will definitely be going back !! Thanks Jimmy macs

It was my birthday and I was looked after very well

unfortunately there was hardly any vegan cheese on the pizza and it was not cooked long enough

Great place, great food, good price, quiet when we went mid week lunch time. I bet atmosphere is amazing height of season and weekends.

Visited as a Family. Variety of food ordered, sat outside as we had a Dog with us. So, A fish goujon wrap, contained 4 fish fingers, not goujons. Fish and chips, reformed battered fish portions which were overcooked, dark brown, mashed garden peas, not mushy peas which were cold, and French fries (skinny).

Nice little restaurant on Canvey Island seafront. Visited with family as it was the only place we could find which offered vegan food. Very welcoming staff. Food was ok for the price and location. We had burgers, chips, a roast dinner and kids nuggets between us. Reasonably priced.

Decided to try the steak night. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our table and promptly took our drinks order. We only order one starter, chicken wings which were lovely,crispy and meaty(so far so good). Then came the steaks and I have to say we were all surprised how good they were,perfectly cooked,tender and tasty the whole meal was exceptional and great value for money. We recently went to a top steakhouse in Covent Garden and whilst I know you pay more for London it wasn’t a patch on this food and we literally paid 5x more for it. The staff were a credit to the restaurant friendly, attentive and efficient. We will definitely go back and a bonus that it’s within walking distance for us.

Alicia is absolutely the soul of service in Jimmy Macs. She is on shift every single time I have came and recognises me every single time. Her service is fun and friendly and she goes above and beyond to deliver an excellent service to all. She deserves the recognition and appreciation for the atmosphere - she sets/ runs the rest of the evening. She needs to know this!!!! Wouldn't be the same without her. Shout out to Stacy and Alex too!

The beef was inedible the vegetables under cooked gravy was like dish water. Very bad

The calamari was lovely however the fried chicken in the burger was tough as, I don’t think this was due to overcooking it but poor quality chicken

Been several times now with my other half. Very limited menu ( but it is a steak and rib place). The food arrived very quickly by a friendly waitress. Great burgers and large ribs went down well. Bit pricey but good selection of drinks. Very popular with families, so not really the place to go for a romantic meal.

I’ve just ate a brilliant Roast Beef dinner with lashings of gravy. It arrived exactly on time by a lovely young lady and it was bloody lovely. Roll on next Sunday and thank you Jimmy Macs x

Driver couldn’t find house. Food was cold, it went in the bin. I’m sure the food would of been ok if it was not cold

Jimmy Mac's is a casual restaurant. The menu isn't extensive but Steak Night (Fridays) is something else! The fillet steak is melt in the mouth wonderful!

Lovely friendly helpful waitress (the one with the eyelashes). Seated and served quickly. We all 4 of us enjoyed our meal very tasty. Hubby especially enjoyed his calamari best he’s ever had in any restaurant

This was the best night out in a long time. Staff were amazing, entertainment was fantastic and the food was delicious. Superb night had by all.

Myself, daughter and a friend all agree that these were the best steak meals that we've had for years. All steaks cooked perfectly and to our different individual preferences, good coffee and excellent service. No wastage,we totally cleared our plates!

It's was not too busy at anytime to stop partying with the family and friends get together.

Very enjoyable meals, we had both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, the veggie pepperoni pizza was full of flavour and looked wonderful. The burger meals came with the most tasty coleslaw too. The delivery team are always really friendly and the food arrives piping hot. Thank you Jimmy Macs team for a great meal.

Had steak ,full of fat. Chips were greasy. Buffalo wings, vile batter awful and chicken raw overpriced!

Was no atmosphere due to poor customer turnout. We went for the steak and was not disappointed. He had the 10oz ribeye, I had the 10oz sirloin and they were cooked to perfection. For £14.95 with all the trimmings you can't go wrong. Highly recommend giving the place a try. You can park your car in one of the local car parks and register your numberplate on the spot so you don't have to pay for parking. Will definitely be coming back here.

Great place to go for food and drink and see entertainment.But it's a shame about the security being to over the top if you didn't have a drink.

Ordered did not receive correct order only one portion of chips and drinks phoned was told to apply for a refund and reorder so did and was refused a refund so one order ended up costing me double!

Terrible.reading the menu looked good.44 pounds later.what a dissappoitment. Chicken salad was just fat.hullomi salad awful.kids left there food .pizza chips,.and burger.only good thing was the bottles of diet coke.

All American foods The ribs in cola bba sauce 😋 so sweet and tasty The double burger amazing , reminded me a little of the smoky flavour of burger king whoppers ! Fries extra crispy and thin cut wonderful 😊 First time coming here, would recommend and eat here again staff really friendly and welcoming and food so tasty Atmosphere chilled,light and fun with chart music playing and TVs playing music channels

Food is expensive for quality. Don’t know if we caught them on a bad day but food was over cooked, couldn’t even chew the ham in the ciabatta. Chips were awful. I think we were also overcharged either that or a Latte is over £5?? On the up side the staff were nice and friendly but I wouldn’t rush back!

Fleetwood Mac tribute band day... excellent atmosphere, perfectly good pub grub. A really good day overall. Thoroughly recommend.

We had a vegetarian option and 2 children's meals this time round. Everything was wonderful (the children's burgers came with cheese and ketchup (no salad to remove - which is a huge bonus) a really great portion size of accompanying chips, thank you for another great meal and delivery.

Food is lovely from here, was just a shame that it arrived cold today.

Wonderful meal, we had a mixture of vegetarian and non-vegetarian and everything was piping hot, full of flavour, decent sized portions and extremely yummy. Love the packaging of the food too, lots of recyclable boxes, which display your dishes perfectly. 10/10 Thank you Jimmy Macs Team & Delivery Drivers too.

Food was amazing as usual. Although the food had been chucked about so all the pots of salsa and coleslaw had tipped out into the boxes and covered the food, making them soggy unfortunately. Hopefully won't next time as we love this takeaway, it's our favourite.

Food arrived 35 minutes late and cold when arrived no update to say food was going to be late from restaurant. Food looks lovely but was stone cold when arrived. I did re heat my food and tasted nice but am disappointed with the service and lack of delivery update from both just eat and restaurant

We popped in for a Sunday roast today. The menu was limited. However, what we had was excellent in terms of flavour and quality. The staff were lovely as well. Place needs smartening up a bit but we will no doubt return. Well priced as well.

Wrong order arrived and the whole order was cold

Thank you for a wonderful meal. We tried a hamburger, which was amazing, full of flavour and the sauce was great. A Hot Dog, amazing flavour. Ribs, which were full of meat, cooked brilliantly and the sauce again, wow. Fries with Cheese, generous portion size and again, great flavour. Finally.... a wonderful Pizza, perfectly set out, looked gorgeous, tasted even better..... looking forward to returning for more. 10/10

My niece and I went for dinner here and both because extremely unwell afterwards - I ordered mac n cheese which seemed to be out of a box and not freshly made. Waited 15 minutes just for the bill to be brung over (which with a 4 year old and 8 month old is a very long time) when complaining about how sick we have been since eating at this establishment we have been told it is simply not anything to do with them

Why would you go to one of the international high street chains when you could come to Jimmy Macs for one of their big fat juicy burgers and skin on fries. Ok it's maybe a little dearer but well worth the extra cost. And all the staff are lovely.

The burgers sold here are absolutely amazing, I’m very fussy when it comes to burgers and I can honestly say Jimmy Macs is the best burger I’ve ever had whilst eating out. Consistently good too, I’ve had the double cheeseburger 5 times over the last year and it’s been fantastic every time. Compliments to the chef!!!

We have been visiting all summer for drinks and food outside. The team are all incredibly friendly and we are welcomed like friends. The food is amazing. We especially love the katsu chicken and the brisket topped fries. The restaurant is now open for the winter and I highly recommend.

After an afternoon out turned up without booking and given a table promptly as a family of four. Had the Sunday Roast was excellent, freindly service and all in good time, will return.

Staff food amazing. The sunday dinner was so nice. Not too big just right. Sticky toffee pudding so light and not too sweet. Perfect end to the weekend

Just visited jimmy macs for the first time. Food was great very tasty and well cooked, excellent service from the two girls serving. Definitely going back. Highly recommend
