This cafe has just what you need, good old English breakfasts that doesn't cost a fortune. Good tables, good service, well worth visiting.

I am glad that Jimmy Griddle stands in the middle of the fast changing Battersea Park road as a London institution. Very affordable English breakfast. I wish the chips would be of better quality.

I've been going here for a very long time. This is without question the best classic British cafe in Battersea. The food is exactly what you want and is hearty and well priced. As you'd expect, they do loads of different things but I highly recommend a take away sausage sandwich if you're passing by. Thankfully the yuppies seem to be put off by the decor. So it's still a fairly genuine eatery with none of the pretentious, overpriced fare Battersea seems to be cursed with these days.

A return visit to this super clean and efficient cafe with a 5 star hygiene rating on the door. I had the day's special Liver & Bacon, good value for money and a classic dish. Free newspapers to read too.

I have been coming here for over 15 years whenever I am starving and need a good English meal inside me. It's very popular with tradesmen and locals so it can oscillate between being packed and empty depending on the time of day. Kept impeccably clean, the menu offers a wide range of breakfasts and dishes of the day. My favourite is liver and bacon, the portions are huge and service prompt. I can rely on there being free tabloids although I am only a few pages in by the time the food arrives. I like to sit facing the large window to watch the world go by on Battersea Park Road and wait for the shock of such a large square meal to subside. It is true that the sausages do not originate from any earthly even-toed ungulate, so best avoid them, otherwise this is what you want from a traditional cafe.

If you fancy a breakfast you can do a lot worse than pop in here for a bite to eat. However it is what it is. Service hardly rates high on the agenda here. You order, you pay, you sit down and five minutes later a plate of food plonks down on your table and off you go! Service standards stretch about as far as bringing cutlery with your food or maybe fetching sauce. The breakfasts are okay but like so many other greasy spoons they serve type of sausage that you only fine in great spoons. They do not look or taste like a sausage available from any butcher or supermarket. They are long, tasteless and lacking in meat. Pretty awful really!

This is a proper London caff. Breakfasts are great and there is a decent choice of other meals too. Service is brilliant and the place is spotless. It's value for money too. The food is always hot and served promptly. Most of the customers are tradesmen and locals and the place has a good feel about it. The staff are always pleasant, willing to help, have a good relationship with the regulars and welcome newcomers. Long may places like Jimmy Griddles continue to thrive.

An honest English breakfast caff. Punters eat large breakfasts and read the tabloids. Very good value and relaxed atmosphere.

The jimmy griddle cafe is perfect way to start your day open at 6-30 am and their still there at 4pm i work round the corner and the owner jack who has been their for the last 18 years still greets you with a smile even if its snowing outside. Breakfast, lunch or even diner there's even something for the veggie's among you, I might be biased but i've been going here for years. My favourite is a number 3 set no tomatoes with an extra egg.

I may be cheating a little by having Jimmy Griddle's listed as a restaurant - it's actually a little breakfast/sandwich/caff - but it's brilliant! My mate lives round the corner and whenever I go visiting we always go to the Griddle to recover from the night before. There's an excellent range of fry ups; even a choice of veggie ones too. The prices (particularly for London) are incredibly reasonable - I got change out of £6 and still didn't manage to finish all my food. It's clean and basic to look at, but the menu's just what you need to straighten out a hangover. They even do crumble and custard if you can fit it in on top of your full english (and one day I will...)The staff are really friendly and service is prompt, which is more than can be said for many of the real restaurants nearby - I cannot recommend this place enough. Maybe not ideal for a romantic date, but brilliant for breakfast!

Love this little gem in the style of an American Diner, always friendly staff and very smart surroundings. And you can get a delicious pastry or bread to go!

We were looking forward to dinner as a family in a restaurant with decent European food. Unfortunately they have changed the decor from what’s in the pictures to something much cheaper, which was a shame. Then we were presented with a Bar Menu for dinner with only burgers and sandwiches for dinner in a restaurant. Disappointed, we carried on and ordered the Chicken Burgers, one was burnt and one had the wrong sauce. They kindly took them back but then replaced them with what looked like the same burgers. The prices were also extremely high - restaurant prices for bar food! Unfortunately we won’t be back.

The restaurant is located directly on the Thames and has a circular floor to ceiling glass layout. The ground floor is essentially a coffee shop that serves meals and the first floor is a restaurant. An ideal place for a relaxed meal. Good food, friendly staff, and excellent views of the river. The breakfast pancakes are not to be missed.

Such a beautiful town! The castle is a fantastic experience, staff were so friendly and helpful. The displays were stunning and well displayed, lovely to see. We were on a tour so couldn't spend as much tie as we would have liked. Highly recommend, hope to come again.

Went for a birthday celebration. Our usual dining preference is a definite cuisine with homestyle cooking and no pretension. Once a year or so we do a fine dining option. She is vegetarian, I am less fussy. I am a good home cook, she works in the restaurant trade and we are sympathetic to current difficulties. We didn’t need to be so here; OK so I usually blench at the sight of a man tweezering food and waitstaff that serves the first course with “Let’s start our journey”,; it often signals a night of pretension and not much else, but this was excellent cooking and service to back it up. There is a £65 four course menu and a £85 tasting menu incl a veg option. We had the 4 course. Yes the portions are small, its not quite the ‘bag of chips on the way home’ scenario but its not gluttony either and ‘langoustine’ is exactly what it says. One langoustine, £15 additional option, doubtless because of the dab of caviar on the top of it, but it was the most perfectly cooked specimen I have ever had. They don’t travel well and often past their best before they arrive at a kitchen. The brioche melted in the mouth, the risotto was al dente but not raw and the parmesan crisp on top of it had obviously taken a lot of work, a sea bream ceviche was seriously fresh and beautifully balanced. The monkfish delicate and moreish. The wine list is expensive but that’s how it is these days – deal with it. The (presumably) head chef with the tweezers had obviously put in a lot of hard work in prep before he picked them up. Watching the kitchen staff in the open kitchen you saw zero macho heroics and a lot of surefooted care. The room wasn’t full all night and so I cannot vouch for the noise level past that, but mercifully no-one had turned up a ‘curated’ playlist. Service was attentive without being obsequious; you don’t usually get a recommendation for a Ukrainian ‘shots bar’ at the post dinner chat – we will check it out on a less refined evening. Really enjoyed it, you would be hard pressed to find better at this style of cooking and certainly not at this price level. Definitely worth a visit. Damn fine stuff.
