Adoramos a visita ao Jidori. Ótimos saques e comidas típicas de um boteco no Japão em Londres. Não tem como não gostar dos espetinhos e se vc for brasileiro vai encontrar o chef da casa que é de nossa terra. Vale a visita!

I had wanted to visit Jidori for some time and we weren’t disappointed. We booked in advance via Google. The place is small canteen style Japanese cuisine yakitori restaurant, so the main focus is chicken skewers. We went for the set menu is three types of chicken skewers (wings, thigh and minced) with kimchi, spiced cucumbers and rice - all was extremely tasty. We also went for an extra Katsu Curry Scoth Egg which was amazing! We will be visiting again!!

My girlfriend and I visited Jadori for the first time and won’t be returning unfortunately. When we received our drinks, my girlfriends beer was luke warm and my white wine had been opened a bit too long; so we sent back both after a while of trying to get someone’s attention. There were no apologies and after about 8 minutes my girlfriend received her beer, which they had just put on ice instead of opening a fresh one. The membe of staff informed me that “there was nothing wrong with the wine but I opened a new one anyway”. The previous wine was undrinkable and I didn’t appreciate his attitude. The dishes were presented nicely but the food itself we found very underwhelming, bland and tasteless. Very disappointing as it look so delicious on paper! No one checked back with us and it was hard to gain anyone’s attention as they seemed to be rushed of their feet even though it didn’t seem to be very busy. When we received our bill I was surprised to see our drinks hadn’t been comped and there was a 6pound service charge. Overall not impressed and it’s such a shame because I think this place could be great if it were executed differently!

the food was average (undercooked cauliflower, ice-cold edamame, bland rice, literally got 1/2 an avocado served to me with a few coriander leaves and a tasteless dressing under the name "ceviche" - the only really tasty dish was the mushrooms skewers and we got served...4 tiny mushrooms) ,the quantities really small and the prices completely unjustified. we walked out and got a slice of pizza next door. i would not recommend this place for dinner - the lunch menu looked much better though.

Our meal for two cost us £80, which considering the size of dishes is madness. The quality of the cooking was below par at this price point, especially anything involving chicken...The Ceviche was the biggest disappointment as it was warm (almost like poached salmon). I had two cocktails which had a nice flavour to them, but I'm pretty sure there was very little alcohol in it. We really wanted to like this place having read good things, but we were left hungry and underwhelmed. The atmosphere was oddly lacking considering how compact it is. Go to On The Bab (just around the corner) instead, much better in every respect.

A joke paid 60 pounds for very basic cover of two and left hungry. Pretentious and overpriced. One to avoid.

Very expensive and inauthentic. Describes itself as bar food such as you would get in Japan, but a poor imitation of the food that I had when I was in Tokyo. Portions are tiny and the seats are really uncomfortable. No air con or fans in the restaurant. The staff are stressed out hipsters who seem quite flustered. Came to £70 for two people with one cocktail each, and we left hungry. Won’t be going back.

The food was good, but nothing exceptional. However, the big surprise for us came with the bills as we were charged £10.45 for 3 tiny jars of sparkling water. We had to order 3 times as they we tiny. I don’t recall seeing the price on the menu list. Anyway, no even Michelin star restaurants charge that much for water! We pointed out at the moment of paying, getting the answer that that was the price and it was set on the till. I have to say, this ruin my experience there a bit as it says how pretentious the place is, without reason.

We came for a quick snack before dinner. We had koji fried chicken, salmon tataki and kinoko mushrooms. Portions are small as it suppose to be, great for snacks and food sharing. I really liked pickleback. Food tasted very good. Atmoshere is nice. I’m sure we will come back to try more food and few coctails

Went here a few weeks ago for a meal out with my partner. Admittedly it is a little bit expensive for the amount of actual food that you get, however I feel that the quality of the food definitely makes up for this. The katsu scotch egg was magnificent, and is definitely worth a try, the yolk in the middle is runny and the whites are JUST set, making for the perfect egg. We got a selection of different skewers, the chicken thigh with spring onions was wonderfully smokey, and the minced chicken with egg yolk dip was savoury and rich. We also tried the aubergine skewer which had a very enjoyable marinade. Okranomiyaki were crispy and went well as a mini starter with our drinks. The cocktails were fantastic, refeshing and crisp, with different ingredients to what you would normally see. I would also HIGHLY recommend the dessert, we had a sort of caramel ice cream with sweet potato crisps which was unexpectedly amazing. Most of the kitchen is open, as is the bar, meaning you can see all of the food being prepared which I enjoyed. The staff are brilliant, warm and welcoming and happy to explain the best way around the menu and making recommendations. So while yes it is a little pricey you certainly get what you pay for.

A rather belated review, we visited Jidori back in the summer of 2017 upon stumbling across the eye catching front windows and stylish decor when looking for a bite to eat in Dalston. We selected the OMAKASE upon recommendation from our waiter which was sublime, we then tried a further two small plates accompanied by two bottles of Sake. All the dishes were spectacular and the sake paired nicely. Highly recommend and noted Jidori now have a space in Covent Garden, a stone's throw from my office which I will be sure to try next!

Delicious food and I was so full after! We ordered the special set menu, which came with edamame, salmon tartare, sashimi, nigiri (tuna, salmon, yellowtail), tuna maki, chicken karaage and salad. All
