Jenny's Restaurant in Test Valley

We've only eaten here a few times, but each time the food is fantastic. A fabulous cafe with a varied menu. Something for everyone.

We visited for lunch today as a family. The café was fairly busy which we took as a good sign - this was our first visit to the town centre. Service was quick and there was lots on the menu to choose from. Food was served quickly, was hot and was decent enough (we had baguettes and chips). Would probably return but wouldn't go out of our way to visit.

Well what to say! Very clean restaurant to enter! Very polite staff! Food ordered and drinks came over very quickly! Milkshake made my gf very happy! We had two beautiful burgers and chips.. came over quickly all very hot! Came here on a whim and left a happy customer! Thanks guys for great food..

Soggy Toast, hard boiled fried egg, deep fat fried potato waffles, mushrooms swiming in oil, re-heated bacon & Sausage & nice cup of earl grey tea all for just £9.60. in a word, disappointed.

We have had lunch here a couple of times and always found it good so as we were staying over in Andover we decided to try it for breakfast. This was a big mistake, I had the 3 American buttermilk pancakes with syrup. Both of which tasted cheap and synthetic. The pancakes must be bought in frozen and microwaved when ordered. I don't know what the syrup was but when poured on the pancakes it congealed. My wife had beans on toast which she found inedible. Both the beans and bread appeared to be very poor quality brands and for the price Jennys are charging this is unacceptable. Needless to say we will not be returning and could not recommend to anyone.

Visited this cafe on Saturday for Breakfast, if I could score 0 *I would. Had a hot chocolate, which tasted of milk no chocolate in it so asked for more powder which was slightly better, had baked beans on toast, thought was a safe option, took 2 mouth fulls and left the rest, the bread was chewy and the baked beans tasted odd maybe value ones. Even my husband would not eat it which is a 1st!! So disappointed and a complete waste of money. So disappointing

A good and convenient place to have meals as they serve food all day. Lots of choices on the menu, all day breakfast, burger, salad, sandwich and all not expensive. I had an omelette with jacket potato. Delicious. Staff are very friendly as well.

Initially we were quite impressed with thr prices and portion size. Unfortunately when my other half cut into her chicken we found it was a bit pink in the middle. This in itself wasn't a big deal, I took it back to the counter to ask if they could cook it a bit more. A man who I took to be the owner got very defensive - told us he was a chef in charge of 20 restaurants and there is nothing wrong with pink chicken - even suggesting we Google if pink chicken was OK. Frankly this attitude was just unnecessary - if a customer complains about something like that the right procedure is to apologise and put it right, not turn it into an argument. When the replacement came it was still pink. Frankly we come to places like this to try and support the little guys who struggle to compete with the big chains, but when you get treated as an inconvenience for expecting a basic standard of food hygiene, you get a good idea of why the chains are winning! If it wasn't for the argument I'd not have posted this review but frankly I think it's pretty shocking to argue with a customer when they are making a fairly reasonable request!

Had Breakfast here on many occasions now and always well cooked and good portion sizes. The place is clean and tidy and the staff are really friendly.

Buon servizio, molto simpatico il proprietario, cibo nella media dei locali della zona take away con offerta di vivande principamente panini/hamburger/hotdog/fritti. Locale allegro e simpatico, conto nella media.

Went to Jenny's today for the first time for brunch with my wife. I had a brunch breakfast, my wife had something similar but not the same. Both meals were served quickly even though they were quite busy as it was about 1230, the food was very good, the staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely go there again.

Whenever I see American style pancakes on a menu I go for them. I can honestly say that the pancakes I had at Jenny's are the best I have ever had. It's simple enough, 3 pancakes over 3 large rashers of bacon, but it was absolutely delicious. Cooked there and then and only cost a fiver, arrived in around 5 minutes despite it being very busy. I was served instantly by a smiling staff member and was pleased to find it was clean and tidy inside. Considering I got 2 lots of great pancakes and two of the biggest lattes they do for 15 quid I will most certainly be back! Well done Jennys

Not been to Andover in a few years & called here for breakfast brunch.. Great variety of standard breakfast fare and other healthier options. Portions were too big for us all to finish offering great value. Staff friendly and helpful. The washrooms are a bit tired and could do with a bit of attention then I would have scored a 5

I come here every so often and every time without fail, the food and the service is perfect.

I like this place! I didnt walk to the back of the mall, hence I only found Jenny's on my last day in Andover (I was there for 2 weeks). Pity that I only found this place on my last day of my trip, but I liked the place and food I had there. Pricing is reasonable and food is tasty. I will definitely go back to Jenny's if I am back in Andover again

Whenever we are in the Uk we make a point of dining at Jenny's. The food is fantastic, the staff are friendly great and efficient. Best value for money around.

I have visited Jenny's on many occasions and have been pleased with the food and service. It is not a restaurant that does high end food but is still very nice.

This was a stopover on the way to London. Food was reasonable for the prices charged. Our first choice of food was not available but the alternative was very acceptable. Locals should make better use of this spot

We decided to pay Jennys another visit today as we were regulars for a while and the food went down hill so decided to give them another try.

First time me and my wife have visited i had the All American pancakes and wife the veggie American. Really nice warm and fresh and great portion size. We will be visiting again.

the most perfect milkshake I have ever tasted. only thing wrong, no skimmed milk. Lovely and clean. Toilets a bit small though

This is a great little cafe/restaurant in the centre of Andover. The all-day breakfasts are a good with lots of choice and extras you can add. You can also build your own breakfast with I think 7 items from the menu.

Went here just by chance usually go somewhere else for breakfast,glad i did breakfast was superb and good size and they do black pudding result ,will definitely be going back for a breakfast,service was friendly and did not wait long for food.

Service was good, portion size phenomenal and reasonable prices. Went for the veggie option as was able to give side orders. Unlike many cafe like this they take card payment which is a bonus. Service was efficient. Great place for a quick fast bite.

This is a great café Restaurant the food is always fresh and the menu is brilliant with so much to choose from. If you visit for breakfast the biggest issue you will have is what to have ha ha but trust me it is worth...

Called into ths restaurant for lunch chose the fry up well cooked large portion nice atmosphere freindly staff. Worth a visit and good value simple food.

Estábamos en el centro comercial y vi que estaba lleno de Jenny, que nos llevó a ser una buena señal. Estaba limpio, y no es caro, pero la comida no era todo eso. Y había muchas personas "bien alimentados, y creo que el tipo y la calidad de la comida que se sirve refleja esto.

We visit jenny's on frequent occasions for breakfast, It is a good traditional type cafe that serves good quality food,service is always on the button, & very quick service, we actually quite love it, & will be going again real soon.

Have had meals in here several times over the years & always found the food / service fairly good value for money. However, looked in this morning & it was almost empty. Why I wondered, then looked at the Menu. Goodness gracious, talk about expensive, no wonder the people of Andover are voting with their feet, c'mon this is not exactly a fine dining establishment is it !!

Benn to Jenny,s three times for dinner ,every time the food very good and cooked fresh I give it 10/10. And it's always clean.

clean and tidy cafe style , with basic decent food and good service . Not gourmet and not supposed to be . A regular place for me now , and always pleases .

The staff is friendly, the coffee tastes awesome and the food is very delicious the portions are big and everything is worth the price really left satisfied and would surely reccomend this to anyone! Thank you staff for the great service and delish food!

Have been here several times and each time was good as the last, the choose your own breakfast is great value for money. You can choose seven different items but as some of these come in twos you can end up with with 8 or 9 items. I'm fussy with how my eggs are cooked but they get it right every time.

Upon placing my order I asked if there were any foods suitable for my toddler who is allergic to eggs and dairy.I was told they had what was on the menu and that she didn't understand me.I was then made to wait to speak to another waitress,who still struggled to understand my request.Neither of which were very helpful or friendly.They then pulled a box of sausages from the fridge and I checked ingredients myself!Utterly shocking that even the chef has no clue what he is cooking.Food finally received was poor.Will not return and wouldn't recommend.

W trakcie mojego pobytu w Andover odwiedziliśmy restauracje wraz z kilkoma współpracownikami, nie jest tam drogo a można zjeść szybko i syto. Sama wybrałam sałatkę z kurczakiem i zaskoczyła mnie wielkość porcji to był prawdziwy olbrzym. Najadłam się do syta i zdrowo,ceny też bardzo rozsądne i miła obsługa.

Really nice place, good prices, clean place, great atmosphere, nice for coming and have a traditional English breakfast any time and the staff is really lovely.

been hear many times always enjoyed the breakfasts on offer but this time the standard was well below par bacon was very fatty tomatoes over cooked and the amount of grease on the plate you could swim in it

Went here for lunch yesterday and had a jacket potato. Generous portion, served quickly and piping hot. I would certainly recommend for a snack at lunchtime.

This is a nice clean cafe, the staff are always friendly and the food is good, It in a convenient location in town and not 2 far from the car parks

Lovely place, lovely staff, food to a very high quality and for a good price. The only issue would be the small table sizes for over 2 people. However I would recommend this establishment, a very good business they have going on here.

I don't often visit "cafe" style eateries but, lately my son asks to eat here so I've done my bit and dug in. I have found it to be a pleasant little place. The food is always freshly made & comes out quick. The staff are so friendly and make a fuss of the kids which is always a winner for me.

Very friendly staff, good food ,service quick even when busy , as it is in the town centre it is nearly always has customer there,even welcome just to sit and have a good coffee.

I've been here a few times and even though it was only a few times the guys always remember me and never fail to say hello. The food is always good in here but sometimes their portions are just to much! I will always recommend these guys.

Fab cheap eats. Good value for money and large portions of tasty food. Would recommend and always end up here when in the area.

From breakfasts to burgers, steaks to jacket potatoes Jenny's has it all.Excellent service, food is cooked fresh but is out really fast. I have had the Burger Meal Deal twice now, lovely quality beef burger with a massive portion of fries. Absolutely delicious.My partner had a jacket potato which was enormous, with a generous portion of chilli.A loyalty card is available so don't forget to ask!The best place to eat in The Chantry Centre by far....

Very good menu, really well cooked food with lots of options which you can select items and make up your own breakfast. The only downside it can seem a little cramped

Have eaten here before when shopping in Andover so were very please to find it still open & serving the same standard of food we had received from them before.The till receipt said Frango Grill, Bridge Street. so may now be owned by the same people

I gave this place a great review back in May this year – scroll down and you will see it but this week’s visit was disappointing. We both ordered a full cooked breakfast, I enquired if it was cooked fresh to order and told “yes” which I did not question as at the counter there is a large griddle area where you can see the guys cooking bacon etc. However as the breakfast arrived less than 10 mins after ordering it would appear that most of it was not cooked to order but re-heated to order. The catering sausages were discussing, overcooked and actually split making them rock hard during the re-heat process. We ordered extra black pudding and mushrooms – black pudding was saturated in oil and mushrooms looked like they had been deep fried! The toast cam already cut up into triangles and saturated with butter – never had pre-buttered toast sent to my table before so maybe that was re-heated also. The bacon was actually very tasty although very fatty!Slight tumble down a long hill guys!

Dropped in here for a quick snack on the way to Longleat. We were all pleasantly surprised. Food was good and fresh.Good for a quicklunch.

The food was poor, the was service was poor what more can I say. And they refused to sell Poppy's. So I will never go there again and I will tell others not to as well.

Having visited Jenny's on numerous occasions, I can say that the food is fantastic, well prepared and good value; the service is quick, and the restaurant is always spotless. I thoroughly recommend.

We went last Sunday. The food was hot, fresh and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend a visit. The best bet in town for a quick bite. So clean you could eat off the floor and any used tables were cleared as soon as vacated.

Popped in for a simple Breakfast Brunch and it was really great. Food cooked fresh to order with a great tasting English Breakfast that was fantastic - great work guys!

Cafe type food (burgers, baguettes, jacket potatoes) but very, very good value for money. Excellent service, spotlessly clean and huge portions. Better than high street fast food outlets. Although this was just a quick trip into Andover, we would definitely visit Jenny's again if we were in the area. (The review stating the milkshakes were good was right - they're fab!)

A local franchise fast food style restaurant that serves all you would expect for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cooked breakfasts, burgers, sandwiches, baguettes etc. all cooked to order and quickly with no loss of quality. A great little stop with no frills but respectable prices to match.

Great service very fast and fantastic food . The staff are all very polite and friendly. Have been in there on several occasions and have never had a bad meal.

Un restaurant d'étape pour manger des hamburgers maisons, copieux et servis avec frites et salades. Toutes sortes de sauce sont disponibles au bar pour faire son propre assaisonnement. On y mange rapidement avec un petit budget.

A great pace to stop whether for a cuppa tea or for lunch... Is everyday food, in good portions... The cafe is lovely and clean and you can also add salads or change chips for potatoes etc... Found in the centre of town is a great place to eat when you not have long to wait

We popped in for a cuppa tea and a milkshake following a shopping trip. A little busy, but it was a Saturday. The milkshake was excellent, real ice cream. Nine flavours available. I had strawberry, very impressed .

If you want a full English, brunch or a burger with fries, Jenny's offers good food at a reasonable price and with quick service.

The jacket potatoes are huge! And very generously filled! Sandwiches the same, the specials, particularly the garlic chicken is amazing! Milk shakes are thick and loads of flavours, very quick friendly service, desserts are a must Aswell! Not too expensive either!

I have visited Jenny's few times, each time we had different food all was fantastic. Must try, best all day breakfast n specials.

used to have my lunch here when I worked in town Loved it so much used to take my daughter and meet up with ex work colleagues!! Food tasty and cooked to order, prices excellent, staff friendly what more could you ask for at lunchtime! Miss it now im back in Kent lol!!Will go back soon tho ;-)

Traditional Kaff style food at a reasonable price - cheaper and better than the fast food chains. Friendly staff and quick service - nothing bad to say about it really.

Had a gourmet burger when I visited for lunch last week, what can I say apart from this is an awesome burger served with onion rings. I will definitely be going back to Jenny's when next in Andover.

I visited yesterday, a Saturday. Have been many times and thought quite highly of Jennys. However.some coca -cola had been spilt from a tray at the counter, and had been cleaned up with blue paper roll. The owner/mananger was lovely to the customer, saying not to worry, and he promtly did her order again (compimentary). However, a short time later one of the waitress, very young with a pony tail, must have noticed some more on the floor quite close to us. She took her 'dish cloth' out of her pocket, and wiped the floor thoroughly clean with it. She then cleared the table alongside of me, and wiped it with the same cloth she had just cleaned the floor with. UHH !! This must contravene the hygiene law, and put us at risk. I will not be visiting there again, unless I see here that the owner has spoken to all staff and put this right. Shame on you.

I know is is meant to be a cheap restaurant, but it's a health risk simply walking into Jenny's. There is grease in the air, sat down and rubbed my finger across the table - grease on that too. The food is cheap, fine if you're on a budget, but couldn't be more unhealthy or badly cooked if they tried. If you wanted decent food at a good price, go elsewhere in town and avoid this place. It's noisy, uncomfortable seating, service could be better and certainly won't win any awards for cuisine anytime soon. Sorry to write such a bad review but it's just awful.

Great place to eat where the food tastes lovely and fresh. Spotlessly clean in a nice friendly family environment. Staff all very polite, management on top of everything so things run like clockwork. No big waiting times and complete value for money.I would recommend Jenny's to anyone who wants nice food coupled with a pleasant atmosphere.

Good menu, good value, good service, what more could you ask for :-D
