Food was cold and was just packed with grease and extremely overpriced

Absolute joke, call 10 minutes after delivery time “after having to find correct number online” only to hear “it’s just going to the kitchen now” after over an hour.

The food was beautifully cooked and assembled. Unfortunately it was so late, the food was no longer warm (45+ minutes later than it should have been). I called multiple times to get an update on where it was, and I am convinced I was lied to multiple times about it's ETA. I don't have enough space to type out how awful the service was, but it was shocking! I never even got an apology for how late the food was, and am shocked they couldn't be honest enough to tell me why they were so late.

Waiting 50 minutes for food that still never came... clearly had no staff as there was no smell of cooking and no one else being served during the hour we waited. Had an appointment so left after just a cup of tea. Won't be back... travel a bit further and go to the Gold centre....

Food was alright, found a hair in it though and my eggs were pretty overcooked. Waited over an hour for two Eggs Benedict despite it being pretty quiet in there, waitress left their drinks platter on the table and didn't check on us despite chatting with other staff. Heard similar stories from people who once really enjoyed dining there to now have long wait times and poor service.

We went in for a quick coffee before an appt didn't have food but the coffee is good and the service was 1st class very friendly and attentive.

Not been to Jenn's diner for few months and WOW so shocked how its changed! Hardly anyone in there but got told 35 minute wait for food soon as got in door. Waited 20 minutes for woman to take our order but not even a smile! Only saw 3 meals come out in a hour!! Only potite member of staff was Abbi, very embarassed food was taking so long. Gave us free drinks to say sorry. When food arrived the sausages were awful, hogs pudding was not same as normally have but tasty! Sadly will not be returning.

Used to use regularly First visit back will be our last 20 minutes wait to have order taken and 45mins more for food to arrive sausages cheap and tasteless where given drinks free to make for wait asked if we wanted more drinks didn’t have what I wanted very polite waitress Abbi very embarrassed about delays and poor management won’t be returning

One of the worst places for customer service. Stopped eating in the restaurant a few months ago due to never being able to get good service and food orders always being messed up or forgotten, decided to try again today and was disappointed immediately with the service. Young lad had no idea what he was doing, ignored customers but when his friends came in managed to talk to them. Kept telling us our food would be ready soon but lied.. no one had food on their tables but everyone had grumpy faces. Another customer complained and left without his food. Ignorant staff and has truly ruined any chances of us coming back. Not even for takeaway. Only positive I have to say is that they didn’t have their usual young gaggle of female staff members on who usually stand and watch you eat or ignore you or stand whispering in the corners. Do not eat here.

Lovely cheese burger and chips, along with a great tasting juice. Lovely friendly delivery person too. Will be ordering again, maybe breakfast meal next time. A+++++++++++++

WOW WOW WOW, lost for words, staff pleasant ,helpful & polite , very clean inside & out . Food was cooked to order so came out piping hot and was of a very high standard well done Amazing will come back again

We come here often. Mostly because of the food, it’s fantastic. However the place is completely let down by the staff and atmosphere. You’ll see people who don’t seem to be working here walking in and out of the staff kitchen, and chatting amongst themselves. I’m not too sure if maybe they are understaffed either. It’s quite unfortunate because the food is amazing

Come to Jenn's diner for excellent food and customer service, the menu has a great selection and fun things for kids, meal sizes are appropriate! The atmosphere is great, music and American diner style is a nice break from cornish vibe. My partner and I always get classic English breakfasts and a tea for two (the tea by the way is very nice!) The maple bacon Pancakes are amazing and fluffy 🥞 Thank you for doing all day breakfast! Recently lost my Nan, first place I've come outside to is Jenn's, thank you for the comforting food and tea. P.s I once came with my friend for her daughters birthday breakfast and my friend was rude to the staff and it really upset me! I won't be dining with her again and I do apologise on her behalf. see you soon! Xx

Food great, as usual. Only eaten in before and service can be slow thought we would try a delivery. There is room to chose extras there is no where to take things away. I put a message in the comments box at the payment stage, it was almost right but limited space and needed to put directions. Delivery took a long time to get to us they are less than a five minute away. Food could have been hotter. The butter had been put in with the hot food, it was just oil. Would order again

This is the second time we’ve visited Jen’s diner. The last time we came it was very underwhelming, dirty and they were very short staffed. We gave them the benefit of the doubt due to recent years being really a great place. But let us down again on this visit we won’t return. When we arrived we were greeted by the very young manager. She gave us menus and told us to go to the back for a table. Every single table in this place has dirty dishes sitting on the table. It took the staff 20 minutes to come and collect our order and then a further 20 minutes for the food (there was barely anyone in there) within that 40 minutes the ‘manager’ and other staff members were just hanging about just chatting and no one had come to clear the dirty plates etc. There was no music on so no atmosphere at all. I think all the waiter staff and manager need proper training on front of house and how to run a restaurant. No excuse for all those tables being left for 45 minutes dirty when it’s quiet like that. If I was the owner I’d be very disappointed. On a brighter note, the food we all received was hot and tasted very good.

Have been going to Jenn's Diner for a few years now and the service has got steadly worse every time, really could do with an experienced manager to organise the staff, can't understand why when serving food they don't clear the tables on the way back to the kitchen, I would say 80% of the tables weren't cleaned as customers left, not enough staff and unorganised Food was good if not a little rushed, eggs hard etc Very reluctant to return

Visited today with family never again .I had a burger and it came as a dry bun and a burger ..no salad no coleslaw .I said to the waitress about it and she walked off. on the menu it states that all burgers come with salad coleslaw. We also ordered ham egg chips as the macaroni cheese that was are first choice was out of stock. The ham was thin quality looked like a shop basic slice of ham rubbish. We had to wait for a hour for the food and we were very disappointed when it came The cost was average to other restaurant's but food quality was worst ive ever had . If I could review lower than a 1 I would do so . Im local to Jens diner and will NOT be going again

Food was expensive for what it is. Ordered (and got charged for) a flat white but was given a cup of batch brew filter coffee without being made aware beforehand. Insult to injury was being charged for a flat white. Wait time was fairly long considering it was basic food that we ordered.

Very disappointing not very busy when we arrived and ordered after a 45 minute wait and seeing people who arrived after us receiving their orders went to check and our order hadn’t been received by the kitchen no apologies from the waiting staff who were happy to charge us for coffees the kitchen staff did apologise and offer us the coffee on the house but won’t be returning anytime soon

Awful service, didn’t mind the wait it’s normal. But when the food arrived the waiter forgot the cutlery, 5 mins later we had to remind him that we had none. The burger was ok, chips cold, onion rings cold, Side salad was like eating dry sawdust and was browning on the edges. My friends who had the all day breakfast said eggs were overdone bacon and sausages was cold and sausages were rank. Certainly the worse place to eat in the area.

Waited nearly 50mins for two breakfast and it wasnt even busy there was about 5 others in the restaurant, when we finally got it the eggs were like rubber, hash browns had the consistency of a sponge that were saturated with oil and bacon seemed like it was cooked the night before, the only thing that was edible was the toast and sausages, but I did have the large breakfast knocked off the bill but that was only due to only eating the sausages, won't be going again

Amazing food and really friendly service by the red head waitress. She couldn’t do more for our table. The milkshakes are amazing. Thank you ill definitely be back

Very pretentious! Food is very average and average quality. Fair size portions, the floors are absolutely disgusting and the tables aren’t much better. The whole place needs a good clean. The excuses of “we have been busy” isn’t good enough. Sweeping the floor will take minutes in between customers. We waited too long to be served and the place smells of sweat. The workers could be better dressed. The young lad with the dark hair is very well dressed. Would not go back

Had a Great Breakfast there. Makes a change from not swimming in fat. No Fried Bread, Supplied with toast which is better in my opinion 👍

Nice place, great food and lovely staff.

Can’t wait to go back. The service was excellent. The food just as good. The lady with ginger hair was exceptionally polite not just to our table, but when people went to pay she asked them all if they had enjoyed their meal. She then took a booking and I heard her offer to stay open later for them as they wanted a table for 7:30 but wouldn't be finished by 8.

This place has really gone downhill recently! Service is really slow, no service with a smile just two moody youngsters! When food finally arrived it was alright but not very hot

Passed this place many times and finally decided to pop in. Doesn't look much from the outside but it's great inside. Staff are super friendly and the food was excellent. Plenty of gluten free options on the menu and I thought the prices were fair as well. Loved the American diner feel to the place.

Great little spot to have food. Food was really nice and good produce. I have only given a 4 star for food as it could do with being a little hotter as some items on the plate could do with being hotter.

Ordered off deliveroo so i'll somewhat forgive the food being stone cold but the portion sizes for the price was ridiculous. 'A boat of chips' for £3 is not a small takeaway container of chips!

We went with the kids and all loved it, will definitely return. The kitchen had run out of a few bits and it was busy so service wasn't immediate but the food was worth the wait. The huge choice of milkshakes are a definite draw and I loved the decor and seating. Ample parking and seemed to have plenty of options for those with diet restrictions.

The staff were friendly and approachable, made us feel very welcome. The vibe and atmosphere in the diner were great with amazing music and great matching decor. The food was amazing. The portion size was amazing. I left with a stuffed belly. Can't wait to go again and try some of there amazing shake and food selection

Used to be a really good atmosphere and great service when it was run by the owners… came in today for 2 coffees and was served by a miserable teenage boy in an adidas jumper, didn’t even make eye contact or smile not even a please or thank you. It wasn’t just me, it was everyone who came through the door. Other than that, most tables were clean, apart from the first table we went to sit on had liquid and beans on, unlucky I suppose. Great music, cool looking, can’t comment on food this time but used to be delicious.

Properly nice food. The breakfast is amazing, really good quality and not overly greasy! Perfect hangover cure. Friendly staff and really nice space.

My second visit to Jenn's Diner, this time for Breakfast. Absolutely Fantastic, would well recommend it to anyone else. One of the rare places, that you can get Hogs Pudding as part of the Breakfast, absolutely spot on 👌👍

Whenever I’m visiting family down in Cornwall, I always come to Jenn’s for breakfast. But unfortunately, when I arrived today there was no breakfast so left early.

Service has slipped recently with arrival of food, last meal arrived luke warm, which always puzzles me when you arrive at opening time. Often only one working and between placing orders with them, it being delivered to kitchen, delivery of drinks, taking payment and now doing outside deliveries also via just eat or similar it's not what it was 18 months ago.

Staff were very lovely and friendly and was served are meals very quickly and it came out all hot and fresh

Amazing food but disappointed in the fact that the delivery driver didn’t have change on him for £40 and refused to ring them, instead I rang them and they was very understanding and absolutely amazing in agreeing to pay the last £2 as a sorry xx

Don’t waste your time. Horrible, cheap quality, awfully made food and drinks and the worst service you could imagine.

Visiting Jenn’s Diner was a total disaster. “Iced latte” came out as a mug of milk with coffee grounds in it (yes, really - and the staff found it hilarious that their colleague was so incompetent) and an americano that was instant coffee. Service was shocking and disrespectful with seemingly no one in charge. No indication of wait time for food and we gave up waiting after over an hour. The few orders we saw come out to neighbouring tables looked average at best, with the burgers served in those nasty floury cheap fake-bread baps that are so common in cheap kebab shops and burger vans. No thanks, won’t be returning.

Food was fantastic and hot, there was a short delay in the food being ready and being delivered. Restaurant phoned ahead of time to let us know one of the ordered items was unavailable but offered a replacement. Foot was fantastic as always, great portion sizes and the milkshakes were amazing as always!

Missing dipping sauce and not a lot of haloumi fries, but all other food I great.

Food hit the spot, especially the breakfast baguette. Delivered on time, despite not being the easiest of places to find, by a lovely delivery driver 👍

One of those quirky hidden gems you stumble across when browsing around Google Maps for somewhere to eat after a day out at the beach. Definitely worth the minor detour to try it out.

Lovely place good staff food quality is ok not the best the hogs pudding tastes cheap as does the sausages. I paid £10.50 for a large breakfast and tbh the portion size disappointed me. Id put this on par with spoons medium breakfast just twice the price and less food on your plate. I would put a picture up of the breakfast i had but there is no option for that. Im gutted

Fast service and fantastic food. Recommend the cherry bakewell milkshake...but as it was my first, its the only one I can. Will be sure to work my way through the others!!
