Had a lovely breakfast - their chips are delicious. Small restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. Can also highly recommend their soft serve.

Such a lovely homely cafe. The breakfast was just what we wanted. A classic greasy spoon, with speedy service and a smile. Highly recommend if you’re in the area, great spot for a quick bite with family/friends/children etc.

In my opinion the best breakfast and coffee in town.

I came in for lunch with family I hadn't seen in a while as we'd heard good things about Jel's Cafe. A good number of options to choose from, I had a large English breakfast and a sanpellegrino lemon, whereas everyone else had jacket potatoes. I got hash browns and black pudding as extra as it didn't come as standard, but the meal still was reasonably priced. My aunt commented saying the jacket potato was the best one she's ever had outside of home cooking, so will be back to try that myself!

Went to Jel’s cafe many years ago and haven’t been back until today as I don’t visit Tonbridge very often. However Jel’s cafe is still as good today as it was then. Great service , fantastic food and good value. A good place to visit. I wish I could go more.

We went for lunch at Jel’s Cafe today. My boys had asked for a Wimpy lunch during half term, but it was closed. I was worried they’d be disappointed, but they said they’d rather go back to Jel’s in future! We all thoroughly enjoyed the food & the service was excellent. Such lovely people, very friendly and welcoming. Thank goodness Wimpy was shut, we’ve found a bit of a hidden gem! We’ll definitely be back in the Easter holiday!

Not great. Not sure about the 4.9 star review at all!?! My breakfast was overcooked to the point of being inedible. The bacon was like crackling but tasteless, the chips were so overcooked that I actually cut my mouth on one. I could smell the oil all over the plate and I don't think it had been changed in a while. The ketchup was the cheap nasty stuff decanted into a Heinz ketchup bottle. For £10.50 I expect more than the cheap ingredients used here. It was also quite chilly in there. Very disappointing.

This really is the very best cafe around. Friendly service, generous and tasty meals and everything spotlessly clean. We go here as a family or couple at least once a week and have never been disappointed. What's not to like?

I did feel the price they charge for 2 breakfast and coffee to come to 28 pounds was a bit over price and not that good of quilty of food has heared they get some food from iceland!

What a great cafe. The food is wholesome and tasty and the staff are friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend their cooked breakfast for under a tenner with a cup of tea, you can't get better value than that.

Traditional English cafe with excellent cooking and certainly not the "greasy spoon" type that many people fear for this style of menu. Service and kindness at top level too. Traditional English breakfast is excellent, pancake and apple pie with custard very good too!

Very nice food, just had breakfast here. Great service too, we had everything we expected on our plate and you can swap out one item in your breakfast. Price includes toast and a hot drink. The bacon and hash browns were cooked to perfection.

Note: I am here two days after the 7.8 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes in Syria and SE Turkey. They have family in the Turkey and had been so worried about them. I'm pleased to say they are safe. We stumbled across this lovely little cafe on our way to the castle. We had a delicious fry up and great coffee. My children had the strawberry milkshake which they really enjoyed. The service was friendly and attentive. We will be back 😊

Pretty good cafe with nice seating and atmosphere, as well as food being nice overall. My main gripe is the mega breakfast was supposed to have black pudding and bread and butter which didn’t come (realised later after we’d finished), and 9.50 is a bit steep for the quality of ingredients offered - all quite cheap, cash and carry sort of stuff. It also took ages to come out, which I can understand as it was quite busy but I noticed a few tables arriving after us got served first. Lastly, no salt and pepper or anything on the table, nor offered unless asked - service could be a bit better I think. Overall the place is decent, but could do much better.

Went to Tonbridge today. Was raining hard so I popped in to this cafe thought I would buy a breakfast. It was amazzzzzzzzzing. And value for money. It is the best cooked breakfast I have had in years 5* all day long.

We had breakfast at Jels twice over the weekend. Great breakfast options, well presented, and cooked extremely well. The coffee was the star item. He staff were very attentive and friendly. Couldn’t recommend this cafe enough. It was excellent.

Had lunch here yesterday honestly such an amazing little café! The staff were all so friendly and smiley with terrific service. The food is to die for, I had the ciabatta which was served beautifully and tasted divine all fresh and tasty. I am even more happy that I found I can get the bus to Tonbridge that isn't to far, I can't resist the ciabatta's. My mum says her prawn sandwich was YUM and the bread was lovely.

We had a lovely and very tasty breakfast at Jels Cafe. The milkshake was amazing. The staff are all nice and friendly and happily provided a bowl of water for our puppy. We sat outside under the awning and enjoyed our food. Would recommend.
