Privileged to have delivered food parcels for this Indian takeaway in North Shields. The owners and staff are exceptional in their service and put their passion in cooking quality food. Their chips are hand crafted and taste great.

Food was more watery than usual, and the stuffed paratha that was ordered was missing from the food delivered.

Normally we quite like the Jeera but this time two out of the three of us who ordered got very little meat and a huge amount of onion. I like onion but there was literally 2 small chunks of meat each in the shashliks that myself and my son ordered and we couldn’t manage the volume of onions.

Beautiful, plentiful, fresh and delicious. The bhajis, which I always look forward to were perfect. As was the curry and naan bread.

Had the most amazing Lamb Tikka with Garlic Pillau rice and garlic Naan. Excellent customer service, made to feel welcome.

we have had a lot of food from yous , but we could hardly eat this one as wasn't nice , it's normally lovely , but we binned it

Recently started to use Jeera and havent been dissapointed. The food is first class every time and the service is the best with great value for money. Jeera is now our go to restaurant for take away food.👍

unfortunately the food wasn't great. ordered three different curries, no flavour or spice. Curries were gloomy only difference was the colour. Very disappointing 😞 Bought for 5 adults no-one enjoyed it so ended up throwing most of it out .

Always get a chicken Dansak but this was quite bland perhaps different chef? Very disappointed

Your meat samosas used to be the best, I would order lots every time. Big plump parcels of spicy red lamb meat like the shami kebeb. But it seems you have changed them now and they are much smaller and contain grey meat and potato. Received three of those last time I ordered, thought it might be a temporary change, but this time I got two of the little ones so I guess I am going to have to find something different to order next time. Rest of the food was lovely as always.

not good. both different curries looked and tasted the same. bland. paratha was to greasy. chilli rice had no flavour. waste of 40 pound.

Everything was lush other than the Madras. Was very watery & had quite a vinergary taste to it. It didn’t have much heat to it either, sorry! X

Had a cheeky Tuesday takeaway for my wifes birthday.. Ordered 5.30 collected 6.10..cooked fresh and lovely helpfull staff.. Was a special and consisted of 5 courses and didnt break the bank.. (£14.00) Happy to pay more for the tasty food provided. All in all very pleasant experience and would recommend. A big thank you to the staff on duty tonight.

This was a very delicious lamb tikka biryani and was a fair large amount thank you ☺️

Overall edible but not great. There was a general lack of flavour. The mushroom puri tasted of mushrooms & onions with no discernible seasoning & no sauce & the bhindi bhaji tasted of okra & nothing else. I was hoping for a taste explosion but was left looking for it. Perhaps the meat dishes are better but as I don't eat meat... a bit disappointing & would not revisit. The driver had a nice smile though.

Have been using this restaurant for 30 years. My daughter brought us a £30 voucher which they hand write on a scrap of paper, not the first we've had. After being out for the afternoon we decided to use it. Phoned in my order and said I had a voucher. Was phoned back 5m later saying the owner wasn't in to validate so they couldn't process order. Had to bike to jeera to prove the receipt was real, given two poppadoms for inconvenience which rubbed salt in wounds. Don't think I'll be using again, they need to sort their system out.

Food delivered on time, nice and hot and generally nice and tasty. Only issue was Lamb Tikka Madras which was really chewy which spoilt it a bit

Barely any meat in curries. Sauces were tasteless. Meal was not ready on time when they had said it was ready.

Food quality was ok. Onion Pilau had no salt in it which was a bummer

Never again. The staff absolutely disgusting and when I questioned the bill took a huff and told me to pay what I like huffy man clearly couldn't be bothered to listen to me

Lovely food, very tasty and will definitely order from here again. Was slightly late with delivery (20 mins) but delivery driver was so apologetic and I wasn't in a rush so it didn't really matter.

Food was delivered over 45 late and was cold, nan bread was rock hard as it was so cold.

Average at best. Third and final time I’ve tried this place. I don’t like to judge on just one try but after three it’s sealed it’s own fate. Starters and Poppadoms are quite easy to do to a decent standard, but the curries themselves take a bit more care to get some depth of flavour. Sadly the curries here must be built up from a very very average base sauce. Almost like a vegetable soup as opposed to a curry base. Just poor stuff. Plenty better to try in North Tyneside. The paneer methi and chicken tikka jal balti we more or less identical tasting apart from inclusion of dried methi. The rice and chips were ok but not enough to save the meal. Try somewhere else unless you just want quantity.

Not much chicken in main meal.. lucky we got 4 pieces.. shame because rest was good..

Sauces were as described and delicious but shami kebabs a bit disappointing a were hard previous were softer but will try something else from menu food always hot and good sized portions

Thali portions (we got both the meat and vegetable options) insane, had expected smaller dishes. Fantastic value, each curry was great quality. Special mention to the huge onion bhajis! Naan was fluffy and delicious. Will order just one thali next time, as 2 enough to feed a small army- you get a bit of everything- various curries, rice, starters, poppadoms, dips. Highly recommended.

Fantastic food. We ate in instead of take away, after being made to feel very welcome. This is a Bring Your Own alcohol but really it shouldn’t stop you dining there.

Isn’t what it used to be. Naan was burnt. Not impressed sadly.

Something has changed with Jeera, it’s not as good as it used to be which is a real shame. Time to find a new Indian.

Had 3 amazing main meals, chicken sag, chicken tikka masala, and lamb dansak however be warned £3.90 for a small mushroom pilaw rice is ridiculous only enough rice for 1. Such a shame as otherwise a great meal.

ordered a takeaway picked it up when we got home found part of the order was missing and the nan bread was not garlic phoned them up and got harsh response saying they would refund the difference to my card then they changed their mind and said they would deliver the missing food but they never arrived spoke to them the next day and they said the missing food was delivered but we did not receive it he spoke to his delivery driver who said it was delivered i asked hime what car did he have to pass in order to get to the door and what colour he could not answer that it could not be missed you have to trip over the car to get to the door i asked what was on the roof rack of the car he would have had to park behind once again no answer so i said again please refund the difference but was told no suck arrogance i wish i had read the reviews before ordering

Rude, incomplete order, offensive customer service when asking for refund for missing meal. I was told refund would be in my account in a few hours, we are talking £5.10. Frustrated but what can you do.... No refund has been processed. However, when I called tonight to ask why I am still without my meal or a refund they told me they had delivered the missing meal to my address. THEY HAD NOT. We asked them to identify the cars at our property or the equipment they passed to get to my front door, all easy to identify. They could not identify my cars or the stuff in my garden. Called out on their blatant lies. Dear God why would anyone looking lie over £5.10? It is the most immature/pathetic service and communication I have had in a long time with an adult. The meal we did get was mediocre at best, that with customer service means we won't use them again and once we've shared our review most of North Shields will also avoid. Management need to review situation asap or the custom they will loose will be far more than £5.10

Great food and the Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday specials are good value.
