Popped in for drinks and cake on a Friday afternoon. Very jolly and pleasant greeting from the staff. Four drinks and cakes came to just under £30, so about £7.50 per head. Plentiful selection of both drinks and cakes / scones to satisfy both sweet and savoury hunger. A very chilled and relaxed cafe, no urgency to rush us out the door once we'd finished. As the other reviews say, it is a very pet friendly place.

Went in for breakfast with my husband & dog after reading positive reviews. Sat down and ordered, Ted the dog was whining slightly but nothing excessive or loudly, we were tucked in a corner, out of the way. After 10 mins we were approached by a long haired man & asked if there was any way we could shut our dog up or we would have to leave. We promptly got up & left , without even a drink served, let alone food. After a while, pondering on what had been said, l returned to the cafe & reminded them it was supposed to be a dog friendly establishment & in 8 years of owning Ted , l had never been asked to leave anywhere! Also the long haired gentleman needs to be reminded he should wear a hair net as he is preparing food, not have it loosely tired back with strands of hair hanging out !

Wasn’t sure about the food, mine came with cheese straight from the pouch, wasn’t even melted a bit, I don’t know if it’s supposed to be that way. My son ordered the salmon on rice and it was good. The place is dog friendly and it is a plus. The one who took our order was lovely, but the other one was not, looks like she’s really tired and needed to get home. Will I go back here when in Keswick? Certainly not. For that price, I won’t go back.

Very very nice. There are alot choices in the town tor cofee, breakfasts and cakes. However I'm glad we walked abit further to find this spot. Gluten free options both breakfast and cakes. The food was very nice. The coffee was great and the crunchy brownie was a winner. After having the brownie, then sip your coffee it really enhances the honey within the brownie. I wish I could try the whole menu Very friendly people

Absolutely lovely cafe. I called in here (with my dog) for breakfast after a recommendation from a friend. My friend and I popped in here one Saturday lunchtime. The café is just around the corner from the main high street. We hadn't pre-booked, but we only waited a short time before a table was available. The staff were friendly and welcoming, providing a good service. The cafe was clean and tidy. It's obviously a very popular place to visit, as the cafe was constantly busy. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome. The breakfast menu finishes at noon before switching to lunchtime food. We had the hashbrowns with chorizo plus the mushrooms on toast. Both were delicious. Together with a couple of soft drinks, we each paid just over £12. There are also loos on the premises. A good place to visit.

Shocking piece of cleanliness. Called this morning for a coffee and Breakfast roll, ordered food and coffee got coffee and whilst awaiting food I observed the lad behind the counter, he washed out a dog bowl in the sink then dried his hands and the bowl with a tea Towel put the dog bowl away done his hands again then put the dirty tea towel on top of the clean cups above the coffee machine…. If this is front of house I wonder what happens where you can’t see? Obviously, at this point I cancelled my food telling the waitress why… Her response was “Oh Really “ I duly paid for my coffee and left…Certainly won’t be returning. I believe everyone frequenting eating houses in KESWICK and beyond should be vigilant and aware, as it is obvious the staff aren’t aware of health and hygiene. Next time you go anywhere to eat, ask the staff how often they wash hands and can you see the kitchen, and £8.00 for a breakfast bun plus £3.75 for coffee. The metrics ask me to recommend a dish on this occasion I cannot due to the hygiene issues that obviously need addressed

If you're going to be 'dog friendly' then you need to ensure you have the hygiene to match. Waitress brought the dog bowl in, put it on the sideboard of the kitchen, and didn't wash her hands. Terrible. Staff could have been friendlier. Food and coffee were decent, however.

Breakfast with friends. A small but mighty breakfast menu, but we all had the full English breakfast. Two eggs, Cumberland sausage, two slices of bacon, beans, mushrooms, tomato and toast. Really good quality food, the sausage was delicious. Paired this off with a flat white. Not the fastest of food service, but the cafe was full even though it had just opened for breakfast. Me and my girlfriend are currently travelling back down to Manchester today and decided to stop at Jaspers for some breakfast. We were placed in rather uncomfortable seating which we asked to be moved from as my girlfriend was on a booth and I was on a feeble chair which left me slouched, the waitress told us we couldn’t move in case large groups come in, which was said in a really blunt manner (literally no one else come in the whole time we was there). My girlfriend ordered the vegan breakfast but asked for the avocados (£3) & mushroom (£1.50) for a hash brown (£1.50) to which we was told they could not swap the items but would be able to charge us extra for hash browns, this literally makes no sense?? The waitresses attitude was awful and she had extremely poor customer service which made us both feel extremely uncomfortable. The food was really nice but would be expected with the price it’s at. There’s a sign in the cafe which says it thank you for supporting an independent business, well I’ve never been treated as poorly in any corporate establishment I’ve been to as I was here.

I decided to visit Jaspers for breakfast before setting off home after a pleasant stay in Keswick. On arrival I was greeted by a pleasant member of staff and shown to a table. The breakfast menu seemed good with vegetarian choices which is always good but on requesting a change this was seen by the kitchen staff/management as a completely unreasonable request. I explained I didn’t like fried tomatoes and could they be changed for extra fried mushrooms. However, the staff were completely unwilling to accommodate this so consequently I received tomatoes even though I’d explained I didn’t like them. Excellent customer service, Jaspers. Very impressed. Obviously, this cafe doesn’t really care about customer service and relies on the constant changing customer base that the tourists of Keswick provide. A shame as I’m regularly in Keswick and as such I would have returned. But given the unwillingness to provide a meal that the customer would thoroughly enjoy by a simple item swap I won’t be returning.

We were with our really well behaved springer, but the tables are very close to each other and the couple next to us were definitely not dog lovers. Having rang first to book a table for 4 at 3.30pm and told by a young girl they don't take bookings and it's first come first served basis. Really looking forward to visiting Jasper's for an early dinner as the menu looked delicious. We arrived at 3.30pm and there were no vacant tables. We waited 5 minutes to get a seat and just as we were about to sit down a young man told us they stop serving at food at 3.30pm but we could have drinks and cake. Totally disappointed especially as we rang first and there was no reference to this and secondly we were in the cafe at 3.30pm and again no explanation at that point. You advertise your business hours 8.30 to 5pm . Jasper's you obviously don't need the custom therefore we won't be back. We went to the Square Orange where we had a fabulous meal and customer service was superior.

We popped in for a coffee late morning when a shower set on and the place was empty. The sign says 'wait to be seated' and we were led to a pokey table near the counter with no outlook and hemmed in by one of several temporary dividing walls left over from Covid days. These 'walls' between each table serve to block any view and makes each seating area unnecessarily claustrophobic. The whole interior needs a makeover and, whilst the coffee was nice, the service was indifferent and these combination of factors means we won't be back.
