This is our favourite coffee shop, the most friendly dog cafe there is. The coffee is amazing, the scones are huge and delicious and the staff very friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a visit!

Popped in for a quick lunch today - the food was served quickly, politely and was delicious. I had the pulled ham and onion marmalade sandwich and it was a fantastic choice! Perfect ham, not too salty, lovely soft turtle bun, good quality veg crisps, and a small side salad. Also very dog friendly.

Usually love this dog friendly place. Today however when popped to counter after our main course to see what cakes there were I was completely ignored by the waitress who was sorting out her tip jar. After a few minutes I told her I wouldn't bother. Simple courtesy would have resulted in her saying she would be with me in a mo which would have been fine. Not impressed.

Me and my girlfriend are currently travelling back down to Manchester today and decided to stop at Jaspers for some breakfast. We were placed in rather uncomfortable seating which we asked to be moved from as my girlfriend was on a booth and I was on a feeble chair which left me slouched, the waitress told us we couldn’t move in case large groups come in, which was said in a really blunt manner (literally no one else come in the whole time we was there). My girlfriend ordered the vegan breakfast but asked for the avocados (£3) & mushroom (£1.50) for a hash brown (£1.50) to which we was told they could not swap the items but would be able to charge us extra for hash browns, this literally makes no sense?? The waitresses attitude was awful and she had extremely poor customer service which made us both feel extremely uncomfortable. The food was really nice but would be expected with the price it’s at. There’s a sign in the cafe which says it thank you for supporting an independent business, well I’ve never been treated as poorly in any corporate establishment I’ve been to as I was here.

We went for breakfast and took our Frenchie called Buzz with us. Love that it's dog friendly. My husband had the full English and I had the loaded hash brown. Mine was absolutely delicious. Beautifully presented too. It does get very busy quickly but we were there about 0930 and there was lots of free tables. By the time we were leaving there was only maybe one or two free. Delicious food. Highly recommend.

We planned a stop at Jaspers after reading the reviews. The coffee shop was a live with atmosphere, we where greated at the door and didnt have to wait long for a table. The staff make you feel as though you have walked in to their home. We had our two Cockapoos with us, to which they brought water straight over for them. The girls (our dogs) also had a choice of items on the menu little touches like this escalate your experience. Us humans had Coffee, Cake and the BLT it was delicious. Went here for breakfast as it opened nice and early. Really liked how locally sourced everything was and how all food and cakes were home made. We’re able to order vegan and dietary alternative food such as gluten free bread and oat milk. Nice atmosphere but it got a bit busy and the acoustics of the space need some dampening as it was too loud to hear each other.

I decided to visit Jaspers for breakfast before setting off home after a pleasant stay in Keswick. On arrival I was greeted by a pleasant member of staff and shown to a table. The breakfast menu seemed good with vegetarian choices which is always good but on requesting a change this was seen by the kitchen staff/management as a completely unreasonable request. I explained I didn’t like fried tomatoes and could they be changed for extra fried mushrooms. However, the staff were completely unwilling to accommodate this so consequently I received tomatoes even though I’d explained I didn’t like them. Excellent customer service, Jaspers. Very impressed. Obviously, this cafe doesn’t really care about customer service and relies on the constant changing customer base that the tourists of Keswick provide. A shame as I’m regularly in Keswick and as such I would have returned. But given the unwillingness to provide a meal that the customer would thoroughly enjoy by a simple item swap I won’t be returning.

We were looking for a good, dog friendly cafe for a cuppa or lunch as we travelled through Keswick recently. Based on reviews, we thought jaspers would be perfect. We were with our really well behaved springer, but the tables are very close to each other and the couple next to us were definitely not dog lovers. The staff didn’t seem particularly friendly and then my husband’s choice of Beluga fries was not available so he had just coffee and cake. My soup was really tasty but the portion was very small. I don’t think we’ll rush back.

Having rang first to book a table for 4 at 3.30pm and told by a young girl they don't take bookings and it's first come first served basis. Really looking forward to visiting Jasper's for an early dinner as the menu looked delicious. We arrived at 3.30pm and there were no vacant tables. We waited 5 minutes to get a seat and just as we were about to sit down a young man told us they stop serving at food at 3.30pm but we could have drinks and cake. Totally disappointed especially as we rang first and there was no reference to this and secondly we were in the cafe at 3.30pm and again no explanation at that point. You advertise your business hours 8.30 to 5pm . Jasper's you obviously don't need the custom therefore we won't be back. We went to the Square Orange where we had a fabulous meal and customer service was superior.

We popped in for a coffee late morning when a shower set on and the place was empty. The sign says 'wait to be seated' and we were led to a pokey table near the counter with no outlook and hemmed in by one of several temporary dividing walls left over from Covid days. These 'walls' between each table serve to block any view and makes each seating area unnecessarily claustrophobic. The whole interior needs a makeover and, whilst the coffee was nice, the service was indifferent and these combination of factors means we won't be back.

Not able to accommodate any changes to menu. Would not take an item off a plate or put it on to a separate plate. Complained about this and argued the point three times and the response was a bit like “computer says No”. Bizarre. Couldn’t give a monkeys about customer service. Could afford to loose trade then. Went to Merienda instead - great food & they couldn’t do enough for you.

I was disappointed. I had falafel, which looked really good. They were cooked right and well presented, but utterly bereft of any spices or seasoning. Service was slow, but this is a small cafe so I didn't mind that too much. Waitress could have been a bit perkier; everything seemed to be a chore. There was a very strong smell of cooking fat as well, which after a while becomes rather sickening. It's a shame as the owners are clearly putting an effort in and it's a well presented and very individual place.

The staff were less than enthusiastic and the service left much to be desired. The bacon was limp and undercooked. So too was the lone hash brown, for which there is a surcharge of £1. The full English breakfast was small and poor value for money, even when aggregating for Keswick prices, and I’ve had much better elsewhere. We were particularly excited to take our young dog there because the website advertises; “We love to make a fuss of all dogs that visit us, with water, treats and bandanas provided free of charge. We also do a number of other doggy treats such as cakes, ice cream, doggy beer.’’. They did not acknowledge the dog at all, and when we asked about the special doggy treats to buy for him we were provided with 3 tiny biscuits, and the staff did not offer any other options. The coffee was lacklustre despite using good beans and the tea was over brewed, I wanted to ask for more hot water, but no further service to our table made this impossible. Overall, I had a disappointing and underwhelming experience which did not meet the expectations I had gained from reading their website.
