Had a chicken curry and mushroom chow mein sauce was very runny and tasteless and chow mein was very very greasy

Absolutely VILE. Chicken chop suey looked like vomit and tasted rank. In the bin. Beef and seasonal veg inedible due to chewy beef, yuck. In the bin. Do not go unless you want your evening ruined!

I had the Set Meal A1: Crispy mini spring rolls (4), spicy szechuan chicken with special fried rice. Really good quality, good value for money and very enjoyable.

When I order a chicken satay I expect a chicken satay this is nothing like a chicken satay it's a spicy gravy disgusting and disappointed will not go here ever again complete waste of money

Can't really quote on atmosphere since I had take away. I can however state that Jasmine's has been recommended to me from family and family friends, i ordered prawn toast, prawn balls, beef with water chesnuts and some mini veggie rolls. All were amazing, would absolutely recommend

Excellent Chinese food especially the lemon chicken. Nice ambience in the shop and pleasant staff. Only had special noodles which were delicious and a special curry.

Absolutely disgusting prawn curry didn't even look or taste like curry ,chicken chowmein just burnt pieces of chicken and noodles .never again

beef uncooked rice over cooked just horrible

Ordered a take away, the chicken was grey looking and the noodles were burnt and smelt like an ashtray. My partner and I had a couple of mouthfuls and put the whole thing in the bin. Very disappointing. Definitely won’t order from here again.

Fantastic old fashion Chinese takeaway. Have used Loog Fong on shoreham beach for years and sadly they have retired and closed but found Jasmin after trying a few others so have now found my new Loog Fong

Certainly not as it used to be , disappointing this Christmas Eve … just a load of noodles , hardly any veg , the other contained about 6 mushrooms …won’t be using this Chinese again …

Have you changed chef? This used to be amazing, have just had mine delivered and it's awful. Vegetables in black bean sauce with green peppers, no veg or peppers just bean sprouts. The chow mein has no onion or bean sprouts either!

Food was not nice. It was cold and the sweet and sour sauce was like gloop. Wouldn’t recommend sorry!

The food we had from you was the worst Chinese food I have ever had in 50 years of having it, the chicken curry was disgusting as it was tasteless and very watery, also half a uncooked onion was just yuk,having spoken to some Chinese friends they told me you just add water to curry paste because you don't make proper curry like they do,also the chicken chow mein was tasteless as it was very dry same as the egg fried rice,we will never order from you again .

Please don’t wast your mony its gone way down hill and the food is not right. Rice smells damp and the curry sauce is congealed. I was very hungry so had to eat some of it. We had chicken chow main and tastes really burnt. The chips were brown.the only thing that was good was the sweet and sour sauce.sorry jasmine you are letting your self down. And they missed a rice and won’t give a refund and waited 1 hr and 30 minits

Avoid. Awful service and food. Walked in to collect and it smelt like burnt food. Sweet & sour chicken looked watery and not the colour of sweet & sour. Chicken was chewy and no flavour. Beef chow mein was burnt and chewy. When I called to mention this the staff didn’t care and offered a discount next time which I obviously won’t be returning.

This must be among the worst Chinese meal I have ever had. Ordered for 3 people, waited a long time for it to arrive and it was appalling. I had prawn red Thai Curry and it tasted like a tin of cheap vegetable soup with a few spices, couldn't eat it. My wife ordered vegetarian Singapore rice as part of her meal which had port and chicken in it. The beef dish that my daughter ordered was just thrown away as it had so much corn starch in it that it was not edible. Crispy seaweed wasn't crispy in the slightest. It was as if the meal was some sort of test to see if people would bad food. I didn't complain as it just wasn't worth it. This review is just to let people know that we were very very disappointed.

Ordered on line, delivery for 17.09 to 17.19. Had to ring three times, food turned up 8.20 cold. Never Never, Never again.

We had two takeaways over the festive season, one of which was this evening. Both of which were delicious. The online ordering system is brilliant. And the food was ready when we asked for. The quality of the ingredients, especially the king prawns is fantastic. A welcome surprise as some takeaways skimp on the quality. My new favourite dish is the Aubergine in black bean sauce. And the salt chilli chicken. The service was friendly and efficient too. I’d like to add that after reading the other reviews posted, I think it’s unfair to judge the quality of the establishment by the quality of the delivery service.

Unfortunately a waste of money food was cold the special rice was nothing special meat thrown on top of the rice a real real let down such a let down never again.

So low quality we are getting food for so long but now day by day even it is not eatable. Not recommended anymore

Just had a meal from jasmine half an hour ago, I am a retired chef who has cooked meals for the Royal family on several occasions! So I feel able to review the meal without prejudice..it arrived on time, hot and extremely fresh! It was well presented and full of flavour! It rates as probably the best off the cuff takeaway I have had, so buy with confidence and enjoy!! this was my 1st visit and I hope not my last! Ordered takeaway for delivery was told would be 1 hour. Then received a call saying will be 30 mins more, ok understand busy Saturday. 1hour 45 minutes no sign of takeaway phone line going to voicemail. Relative arrived home and gave me a lift to the takeaway shop. Was told still not ready waited a further 15 minutes in the store. When finally was given the food it was 2 hours asked for some compensation considering I came and collected and if waiting it still wouldn't have been delivered to my house yet. Was given 1 pound! If I had been given some compensation would return again as I do really like the food but the service was no good. The lad at the counter said they knew they wouldn't meet the 1hour 30 minutes but he was told to say that by the kitchen. Honesty goes a long way!

Order on line at 6.45pm for delivery at 7.40pm...only got it after going to pick it up at 9pm, when asked about money back as had to pick up and very late was given £1 back......

Absolutely excellent- had chilli prawns, black bean chicken, and probably the best lemon chicken I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back! Such a sweet family too!

Nice food, friendly staff. Dropped one star because the menu is a bit old fashioned - none of the innovative options (particularly vegetarian / vegan) that are available at some of the competition. No veggie crispy duck, no fake chicken or beef. But having said that, the food that is available is very nice.

Have to say very disappointed Had a tupperware full of rice with 4small pieces of meat on side... Didnt think that was special fryed rice 🙄

We have used jasmine before, but the standard of food has been going down hill slowly to the point of them delivering rotten cucumber, attached photo. We will never use this place again

Shredded chilli beef portion £6. First time trying this takeaway and I was very disappointed. Far too expensive for such a small portion. Phoned to give constructive feedback and explained what I received was a very small portion for the price they are charging. They apologised and said they will think about the portion sizes next time I order. We collected so they don't know who I am but if I order from them again I will be asking for a deeper dish if I am to be charged £6 or I'll pay £3 for this portion. I know businesses have struggled in the pandemic but this isnt the way to make money.

Very bland not a good experience, the delivery driver had no change for payment. I guess he was hoping for a tip which I was already going to give but felt I had no choice.

Very disappointing take away last night. I have ordered from Jasmine over many many years but will not be ordering food from this Chinese House again. It went downhill 4 years ago but it was one of the worst take outs I have ever experienced last night. Stir fry mixed veg was a joke as hardly any veg, spring rolls were just batter, chow mein very salty and hardly any chicken. Peking grilled chicken was inedible and I stopped eating it. Sadly Jasmine has gone the way of many Chinese take aways now. Poor quality of food served and not a pleasant experience. I will not be ordering from the Jasmine again.

Really good food. I asked for extra sauce on the chicken chow mein which they were able to provide. They delivered very quickly.

Amazing service and great food. Takeaway night is always spent on these guys. They are always so friendly and the food always hits the spot. Our relatives always ask 'can we get that Chinese again' when that come to visit.

Waited one hour for food phoned to be told driver on the way, still no show after two and a half hours phoned again to be told food not cooked forget it i will find someone who has better service. Absolutely rubbish.

So far we have waited an hour and a half even though we were told fifty minutes, driver turns up with incorrect order, very difficult to communicate with them on the phone as their English is very poor. They are now trying again... perhaps in 2 hours we will get the food we ordered, this is a birthday treat from my partner and they are screwing it right up!

Never had a special fried rice made with boiled rice before and the chicken balls are no bigger than popcorn chicken from KFC. Very disappointed

We have been customers of the Jasmine for over 15 years. We think the food is great as are the staff. This the most consistent Chinese takeaway we know.

Can't rate the food because it never arrived. I ordered food on a Saturday around 8 and was expecting a delay due to it being a weekend. The lady who took my order recited everything back to me and said it would take about an hour to deliver. An hour and 45 minutes later, I decided to find out where my order was only to discover that they were not aware of any order. So 10 in the evening with no food I was not impressed. I've used Jasmine before and they have been fine but obviously this time that was not the case.

Useless!! What a waste of an evening!! Ordered Food!! Told an hour!! One hour forty five minutes later chase order to be told we never ordered!! Then they admit that they have misplaced the order!! Well thank you so much for your total inefficiency!! New to the area - you were recommended!! Well I wouldn't recommend you to anyone if this is the quality of service you provide!! Ordered from Jasmine tonight rather than our usual Dannys Chinese as it was closed. Don't Bother! Honestly, the duck was dry as a bone like it was reheated more than once, hoi sin sauce was thick like tooth paste, my husbands sweet and sour chicken balls had tasteless rice with very runny bitter lemon flavour sauce. Pretty gross and def not fresh like other reviews have stated!
