They cannot delete the order 30 seconds after placing it. Terrible .🤦🏾 I've ordered from them more than once, but this was the first time I had to cancel due to late delivery. 1.3 hours.

Best restaurant in oxford the kebabs have real chicken and lamb, Curries all have fresh ingredients definitely not one to miss and for the comments complaining about not being delivered to 20 mins before close is because clearly if your delivery is far then for example 30 mins away then foods getting cooked from fresh 15 minutes that's 45 mins none of them are going home lol. I called late before and I was annoyed but I understood no need to bash a business because of that. The restaurant is a local and alot of people go here not only that the food is top quality 👌

Rude over the phone. Refused to take order after 10pm when states closes at 10.30pm They claim minimum order charge is a whole £10 MORE than usual in the last week (said 'it changed in the last week') when questionned Stated regularly order from them and happy to pay usual delivery charge, when call handler gave attitude said I won't be ordering again then replied with 'ok' Disgraceful customer service. If you are open till 10.30 any business knows to take last orders till you pretty much close. LAZY

We used jamona a lot! Nearly every weekend. Couldn’t recommend them more. However now, never again, if you have family members with autism/ eating disorders/ arfid… (because one tiny item wrong can mean they won’t eat) you call to let them know your orders wrong and you try to explain why it’s wrong/whats missing, they claim it’s not their problem and you can’t expect us to fix our mistake when we are too busy & hang up. Rude and disrespectful/inconsiderate. Also now black listed from ordering from them again, over a fault of their own. Serious disregard when they made a mistake. No acknowledgement and blame the consumer ie me. Also the 3 star hygiene rating you have as generally satisfactory means you could be doing alot more cleaning than being rude and swearing to customers on the phone. Do better.

Still as good as ever, if not better. Been coming here for over 5 years and it is still consistently good. Hard to come by these days. Great quality meats and top draw every time. Mushroom rice to die for, as is the lamb madras. Ample parking outside if you are collecting, pleased to support a long term, local business.

We have ordered a takeaway from Jamona several times now: each time has been delicious, and the portions and extras are good value for money!

First time ordered a take away, very disappointing , ordered a variety of dishes, meat samosas 2 for 3.95 these are exactly the same frozen ones from Tesco priced at £4.50 for 20. I buy these every week for my daughter. Chicken tikka masala was bright red , looked like the chicken had been stirred in tomato ketchup, tasted like it too. Dips absolutely ridiculous, 85 pence each for a two teaspoon sized portion. My recommendation would be avoid this place, you might as well flush your money down the toilet.🤬

Ordered a vegetable curry, onion bhajis and a chilli naan. All of these were, unfortunately, very bland, though the main issue was with the delivery in which I was informed by the delivery driver that they don't have any change, so with no option I had to pay £20 in cash than the £15.15 total. Overall very disappointing, and wouldn't order again.

I live near so I come every couple of weeks or so and they are always quick, food is fantastic and the guys that run it are nice as well.

I really enjoy the food but they can be unreliable when ordering on apps like Uber eats, often taking a while or cancelling for small orders

Had a take-away from here on New Year's Eve. Chicken Biriani and Chicken Tikka Masala. Both were really good, the biriani was well spiced and particularly delicious. I will certainly return.

As a regular, 90% of the time the food is really good and certainly as good as any Indian restaurant I've visited. 10% of the time it's been very average (at worst), for example, very hot, but lacking flavour...would be 5 points if it were not for the average experiences. A really nice bunch of people and clearly working hard to provide a good service.

great curry at an affordable price!

There are a lot of Indian takeaways in Oxford and I have tried most of them over the years. But Jamona is the gold standard I always compare others too. So far none of the rest have matched up and I always return to Jamona. The food is just wonderful and the service is quick. I really can't recommend this place highly enough!

Very flavourful food. Lots of spices. Get a free potato dish with an order and get 10% off if you order via their app. Great food & service!

The food was quite disappointing. The tandoori roti was dry and hard. The saag paneer was awfully sweet, Chana masala and veg sabzi was average. Overall it was not a good experience, I wouldn’t order again

Ordered for home delivery. Substandard food, Tandoori bread was dry and impossible to eat - cracking like popodums, disappointing when paying £3 per piece.

This place is absolutely outstanding. I’m so lucky to have it nearby. It’s maintained consistently top quality for many years now and I’d never go anywhere else for Indian food. Their sauces are rich, luxurious and superbly flavoured and they always give you a free Bombay aloo with every order. Fantastic!

Had a takeaway from here. Not at all like any other curry I've ever had, couldn't eat it. Sadly can't find any positives. I won't be ordering again.

I recommend using their own website as it was particularly easy to register with and order from, and their communications, speed (if, admittedly, on a Monday evening), choice, portions, quality and presentation for collection were all excellent. As it is tucked away on the western edge of the city, it was easy to access and park at. My only quibble was that there was a last-minute "surcharge" of 50p: I'm not bothered about the amount, just the fact that it was unexplained, which was especially odd considering it followed a 10% discount (for an order over £20) and they offered a free side dish of Bombay potato! So I'll still go back, but they might want to clear up this little anomaly.

Have had a couple of really outstanding meals from JM recently - tha last was on Saturday night, whenI bought dinner for my "Bubble" friends. Delivered on time and piping hot the lamb Bhuna was voted as being one of the best ever whilst the Lamb Shashlick Massala nearly caused an orgasm of delight (sorry about the language!). All the side dishes were equally enjoyable - a really great meal and really good value. On a plus note the young man who brought it to us it was voted by the ladies as being one of the most handsome delivery agents ever. The men just sulked. Well done Jamona you deserve all the trade you get.

Best curry takeaway in the world!

Very easy to order online with confirmation and ready time by text. Ordered veggie set meal for two which could have fed four. Food was piping hot and full of flavour. Staff were polite. Feel it was extremely good value and will definitely use Jamona again.

I've used a number of takeaways in a number of areas, and this is my favourite. The previous occupants of my flat left a note recommending Jamona - and they were bang on. I tend to collect, so I can't comment on the delivery service. I'd give 9/10 - the only reason not for 10 is an occasional error in getting the order wrong, twice in maybe 100 orders.

I live locally to Jamona and unconsciously ignored it for years. Always travelling or having a take away delivered from around 5 miles away. Convinced that we could not find better locally. Then came Covid 19. Having risked the trial of an alternative we have been really pleasantly surprised. Now we are complete Jamona converts, there is not a member of the family that does not prefer the excellent food quality from Jamona. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

There aren't many restaurants that will deliver to Kingston Bagpuize Village or eating options around here. The food is always wonderful and my last delivery was fantastic. I had a number of requests including wanting the food early if possible which they accommodated. Big Thank You!

Since moving to the area, this has quickly become our ‘go to’ takeaway. We’ve tried various Indian dishes & the kebabs. Everything delivered has been fresh, tasty & hot. We were so impressed that when we recently had family stay over, Jamona was our first choice. Needless to say, my ‘hard to please’ in-laws were most impressed. Result! Can’t fault the food or the service. Highly recommended.

I've only tried the lamb pathia & cheese naan but it was extremely tasty, full of flavour & texture. Looking forward to trying some other dishes.

Servicio muy amable, y la comida era excelente! Bhaji de cebolla crujiente pero no eran exageradas, el naan era perfecta, ligeramente quemada por fuera y suave y delicioso y precioso por dentro. Verduras korma fue notable para selección de verduras en una salsa de curry deliciosos. No hay mesas y sillas, es exclusivamente para llevar Jamona y servicio de entrega. Muy contentos que pedimos desde aquí, y sin duda hacerlo de nuevo cuando nos están en la zona.Comida estupenda!

Always check your order ! It’s always wrong and they always forget the poppadoms .. you then have to wait 25 mins for them to redeliver .. awful service

Great curries and fast delivery

Overall, food was nice but the chips were stale and old. Asked for mayonnaise and didn't get any. Couldn't figure out why it took over an hour for a kebab, burger and chips to arrive considering we live about a mile away.
