Jamjar in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

This was a lovely little place to go to in the evening. I will start with the good news and end on the not so good news. So the pizza was absolutely brilliant I had the most amazing pepperoni pizza ever, and my family had the diavolo deluxe and we both loved them. If you want a thick base they are not really for you. Now bad news we tried to get a takeaway pizza the night before and they had ran out of dough so we went to the pub instrad and then we tried the takeaway again tonight and they weren't doing takeaway because they ran out of dough the day before, so we ended up eating inside. Not sure what the difference was between takingvaway and eating in! It was amazing but we just wanted to go home and eat it. But I am still giving it 5 stars (circles, tripadvisor!) because the pizza beats all of the bad stuff and it was an amazing experience.

Pizza was delicious, so tasty and very generous with the toppings!! Lovely cozy location. Staff friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to return!

10/10 again!! Visited last year and we come back since it was so good last year. Food was just as good, if not better!!! Lovely little place and all the staff are so attentive. 100% recommend to anyone thinking of visiting.

Visited tonight for family meal. Excellent pizzas, lovely atmosphere, really helpful staff. Perfect Get there early as it is so popular. Highly recommend.

Lovely little cafe with a great vibe. We were late comers and so sadly all the cakes had sold and the brioche buns weren’t being sold anymore. Nonetheless, I managed to grab myself a Cream Tea with an Americano. Best coffee I’ve had in Cornwall for sure and the scone was warm and came with lashings of clotted cream and jam. Just as it should. My children enjoyed an array of ice creams and my husband tucked into an Apple and Pork sausage roll with chilli jam. No complaints. Just be mindful that parking is scarce.

Delicious pizza, gorgeous decor, really nice chilled vibe and a short walk to the beach. It’s also dog friendly. You can see them cooking the pizzas which is great. There was a street party opposite when we went on the Saturday so we had a great night!

We all agreed that these were the best pizzas we have ever eaten - the sourdough base was delicious and made the pizzas light . Very dog- friendly too. Cool vibe in the courtyard with excellent service, the whole experience was memorable for our family. I recommend the Brie and fig pizza, dips for the pizza crust are home made and garlicky ( you won’t ever want to have Domino’s dip again! ) We sat under a vine- clad pergola and drank chilled local Cornish cider . 100% recommend you go.

Gorgeous pizzas in a chilled setting. Overall the service was fab, although it took a while to get the bill. Would definitely return again and I can highly recommend the Brie and fig pizza- it was amazing! Cocktails were also great and reasonably priced

Pizzas were absolutely ridiculous 🔥 the waitresses were helpful, attentive and could tell how much they all loved the ‘Jam Jar’, which absolutely showed in their food and service. Been here twice already in a week stay and will likely be back for a third!

Lovely restaurant but terrible pizzas. They are swimming in oil and soggy. Not ideal ever, but even worse when you’ve waited 45 mins for your order to arrive! Also the staff are v nice but not v good at waiting tables. We had to clear our own empty glasses from our table to make space for our soggy pizzas as our waitress was too busy on her phone 🙄. Overall a great location, but bad food made worse by the bad service. Cocktails are brill though, so maybe drink a few of them and you won’t notice how oily and soggy your pizza is… 🤣

My partner and I had a lovely meal here after my parents recommended it. You can’t book but they managed to fit us in without us having to wait. The service was excellent and the pizzas were to die for. They were happy for me to swap one of my toppings and I can highly recommend the burrata add-on! They do cater for gluten-free diets. It wasn’t the best gluten-free pizza base my partner has had, but it was certainly still tasty and we’re always really grateful when restaurants are so flexible with the options they provide.

Called by tonight on the off chance they were still serving and we were welcomed with smiles and friendliness. We were told there was a wait for food, but that didn’t matter to us and we enjoyed a couple of drinks and a delicious salad whilst waiting for our pizzas. Best pizza around - hands down x

You can’t book here so we arrived early (5.30pm) and saw there were free tables. However, we are a family of 5, and they told us they only had tables for 4 people or one for 8, and they wouldn’t give us any of these tables (we later saw a group of 5 adults on the larger table). They weren’t apologetic at all, they even told us they’d rather wait for the right numbers of people to make the most money!! Never felt less welcome in a restaurant. Appallingly rude.

The pizzas they serve are truly amazing, with flavors that will make your mouth water. The only issue is that the service was quite slow. While the quality of the pizza is worth the wait, I understood from one of the waitresses that there is only one employee making the pizzas. It would be ideal if they could find a way to streamline their operations to accommodate the high demand. Despite the extended wait time, I will definitely be returning to this restaurant. The deliciousness of their pizza is simply irresistible, and I'm willing to exercise patience for such a gastronomic delight.

This was where we ate on both the first and last night of our holiday. Charming, dog friendly, outdoor seating. Simple, delicious pizza menu and great service. A very relaxing restaurant and the staff were lovely.

Cute little place that served fantastic food. THE bacon brioche was absolutely delicious and the selection of cakes me had also were very very good. Definitely recommend this place as a stop off for tea and cake.

Really lovely cafe nestled away in Crantock village a real find. Fabulous latte, tea and homemade cake. Courtyard is quaint and the veranda is beautifully covered with a vine which encourages birds to fly in and out. We will be revisiting next time we’re down....
