The best small shop in the uk for sweets and savouries. Bought some delicious vada pau’s and ghatiyas from here and were amazing. Cheaper than all other places with a high level of quality. Staff are amazing in helping you choose aswell. Would definitely recommend.👍

This used to be one of the most trusted food retailer in leicester (named after a trusted saint). It's a shame that they decided to act like some of the doggy traders in leicester. I went there to get some indian sweets penda & chocolate burfi did not want too much so looking at the pieces on the on display i decided to to order pieces all the penda pieces were stuck together and the chocolate burfi pieces were atleast 3 times the size of the display pieces as they charge me on the weight, it cost more than expected so if you go to this store make sure you check how much they have given you or be willing too pay more than you expected to pay.

While serving one person, staff start serving others leaving the first one waiting. Multitasking in her terms but annoying for customer with limited time. Owner can't speak English.

My first visit to Jalaram sweet centre in leicester before Diwali day, the sweets were so fresh and delicious, i purchased mixed sweets,Motichoor Laddu, kaju barfi...,all were fresh and tasty , and bought spicy chakra, methi poori & chakra's all the spicy items were good in taste.

I ordered online for DIWALI as they were doing Special I received my order except 1 product missing I rang them to complain instead of sorting my complaint they made me feel criminal at 76 years old Experience in work and running my own business

Order over the phone some mithai Dhorkra Kachori and Diwali Nasto - 7/11 received its next day. Everything in tack nothing broken all freshly made. Very impressed and happy..👌🥳 will be ordering again

My recent visit to Jalaram Sweet in Leicester was a big disappointment, forcing me to give it just one star, despite being a loyal customer. I ordered the pakoda (bhajiya), but it was far from fresh and gave me food poisoning. This has shattered my trust in the place, and I won't be returning. The food quality was far away from match with hygiene ratings of this place, with the potatoes in the bhajiya being spoiled and emitting a strange odor. It doesn't meet basic food standards, and I hope the management takes this feedback seriously for the sake of their customers as i will make sure to report this to local authorities of food hygiene .

Management are completely useless. They don't knowledge the customer. Had issues with the quality spoken to the manager refused to refund my money and told me to throw the food in the bin. No morals a complete joke. They seem to like robbing customers I would never purchase again from this place be warned.

Just had the methi puri, wonderfully balanced. Crisp but not overly seasoned or fried. Just right ✅️

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Jalaram Sweet Centre, and it was very welcoming as the staff was incredibly friendly. The presentation of the sweets was professional and very clean. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!!!

I have ordered from many Indian sweet marts across the country, but I must say no where can compete with Jalaram Sweet Centre in terms of its customer service and delicious array of food. It’s consistency is also unmatched as I am never disappointed when I order from here! I recommend there Kachoris and Chevro for anyone that hasn’t been!

The service here is reliable and quick. The staff are so kind and the food is incredible. If anyone is in the Leicester area, this is a place they should stop at I highly recommend.

Really quick service, I ordered over the phone a mixture of food including Dhokra, Samosas, Gatiya and a portion of their lovely chips with their house masala sauce and it was all ready in 10 mins. The food was all lovely and I would definitely go back here as the service, food and hygiene is 100% the best on Melton road compared to the other sweet marts.

One of the best sweet marts in Leicester and I have been going here for over 30 years.

I kept ordering from them online each time they keep decreasing the quality and taste I have many times informed them but not reply .they never bothered to what you write to them .the last time I ordered was really horrible like I was feed with old stuffs . I never read the reviews when I purchased .Such shops shouldn't be entertained any more I think not mine all of them have the same experience like me .Sad spoling the name .

A walk on the Golden mile, Leicester is not the same unless you sample some of the amazing food there. The Jalaram ambli (tamarind) chips are hands down THE best you'll find in Leicester or anywhere really! Plenty of chips and plenty of ambli always, for a taste extravaganza that is unmissable!! All for just £2.40! Keep up the great work. A local treasure known for their indian sweets as well their ambli chips!!

These People are Not Just the Best, but UNIQUE! Appreciate YOU and Whole Team. Lovely, if you stop there once, you will never just pass from there without visiting again. And Again! PAPRI GHATIA is as good as NAVSARI (my home). Try SUGAR-LESS sweetie is TASTY for diabetes people .

Great food, good service excellent

Super disappointed! We were sold broken ghatthias that were partially stale. My mother called and jalaram said no problem bring the receipt and we will exchange. We drove 25mins to exchange and for them to be very difficult. Like wow!!!! No principles, the boy was rude and a wasted journey.

I thought i would try on the off chance it might be good - there is so much choice on Melton / Belgrave Road Spicy Chevro - is sadly not spicy and full of sugar (had better from Mithaas on Narborough road). Patta Gathiya - were pretty ok. Too thick for my liking but edible Dhokra - did not have too much sugar which was a good thing. Hate everything with sugar but these were very good. Suggestion is for owners to reduce the amount of sugar in the spicy chevro. otherwise a decent place.....

Ordered for home delivery outside Leicester unfortunately very very low standard of food. Where to start? The savoury snacks are too salty, overly cooked looking almost burnt when the colour should be light cream yellow. The sweets were very low quality loaded with extra sugar. Online the products look as if so fresh and good quay however this is not the case. Home delivery orders should be properly packed with a delivery note stating order details and where the product is coming from. No best before date on packaging and very poorly packaged in thin bags and cardboard boxes. It seems this place really does not care about it’s customer service or quality of products. It seems the ingredients which are cheaper to buy are used more rather then what should actually be in a product eg peanuts VS Cashews and almonds. Not to the UK standards. Not a place to order again ever. Very very low standards.

My first online order from Kent. The products were neatly packed and the package was delivered undamaged. However disappointed with the following: - Half the Kachooris were split and fillings spilled in the box. It looks like the outer shells were all cracked. Don't think it was a transport issue. - I found the chora fari very thick

Superb customer service from a delightful n classic family business. They are doing very good thali for best price and very affordable for whole community. My daughter has moved for university to Scotland and we send her food and have a NEXT DAY delivery. Amazing samosas! Wonderful staff!

Extremely busy & extremely popular. You can fit 3 customers inside the shop, and there was a queue of 10 outside, and this seems to be the case right throughout the day. Very small & cosy. Staff were very friendly & dealt with my rather large order with the minimum of fuss & hassle. The sweets were excellent & it is worth noting that their competitors had very few customers whereas these guys were maxed out.

I visited this takeaway shop on Friday 30th April whilst in Leicester, when ever I am in Leicester I always buy my snacks from this place as its fresh and its really tasty. There is many other Indian takeaway shops there but I have always preferred Jalaram Sweet; the food choices and taste can't be compared to anyone. Kunal served me that day and want to commend on his Customer Service skills; even though there was few people waiting to come in he took his time in serving me. His knowledge on the food is good. Just want to say Well done and keep up the good work.

Sweet center is making so delicious food and sweet. I commented on their Khajali. After that they improve that quality is tremendously remarkable 😋😋. They look after customer. My friend is place been crowded means business doing well and good quality food inside. Also you mentioned that Indian has a sugar problems, but not all of my friend. Last must says any business is always crowded means it's doing well. If you want some good food it's always need some time.

The food there was amazing. I had purchased 30 samosas and 50 kachoris over the phone and they made it all available withing half an hour. The customer service is so satisying that i recommend everyone to go to jalaram when in Leicester if they want to enjoy authentic indian snacks and sweet. Hygiene-wise, the shop is cleaned often as a result their service brings me even more satisfaction in trying times like these. Do vist. Thanks Jalaram and team! Cheers!

my advice to customers is to very carefuly check in their carrier bag if what you have ordered and paid for is there, i was this morning accused of lying by kiran over 4 pcs of dhokras i had paid for them but they were not in the bag when i got home, on complaint over the phone immediately the stupid kiran accused me of lying, they should train their staff of treating their customers with curtosy.
