Chicken was bone-dry. Chilli beef was hard and the sauces are just oil filled. Really unimpressed.

We ordered half a duck and some dim sum. The duck was so dry and the dim sum was inedible. Complete waste of money. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

Chicken dry and tastless. Dumplings tasted old. Prawn dish bland. Gone downhill used to be good.

The food is so bland. So plain and the meat is chewy. We ordered once when we had people over a few years ago and it was awful, but we tried it again recently with just 2 of us to see if it was any better and no it wasn't! The rice and chowmein are just so plain, nothing tasted right. Defo avoid

This food was the worst Chinese I have ever eaten. All food went in the bin. I will never order from here again. Please please do not waste your time or money with these people. I could not even be bothered to call and complain as no words could make me feel any better.

Food was very bland, no lid on the crispy shredded beef, hardly any beef in the dish. Prawn balls were greasy and looked burnt. Crispy duck was good. The rest was pretty poor. Spent over £60 and prob one of the worst I’ve had.

Very disappointed with the Lamb curry.It was more like a lamb casserole.No signs of curry flavour.I think the chef forgot the curry

Food is just not very nice from here in our opinion. Chicken chow mein was very bland and you could see where sauce wasn’t mixed in on pale noodles. Crispy beef came in a box with no lid in a bag so sauce leaked everywhere? Wouldn’t order from here again.

it is definitely the worst Chinese I have ordered from, every dish being over cooked, no flavour and not nice to even look at. £55 wasted- very disappointing.

We absolutely love the food from here, can’t fault the quality. The delivery times shown when ordering are always majorly wrong and the waiting time is a little ridiculous. We will still use them but wish we didn’t have to wait a minimum of 1 1/2 hours each time!

Absolutely disgusting food, how this place is still open ill never know. So rude too! Overpriced awfully bland tasting food. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. please someone investigate their hygiene also, this place deserves to be shut down.

chow mein was horrid (dry and more veggies than noodles, also the noodles are very thin almost like rice noodles). chicken balls and sauces were amazing. it came early and the food is clearly fresh. love this place despite the disappointing chow mein

The food was all delicious and hot thank you. The description of the crisp orange duck is incorrect tho, delicious but definitely not crispy - may need to change the description or serve the sauce separately.

Really disappointed, we have ordered many time from Jades which normally have a long delivery wait but it’s worth it as the food has always been great. This time delivery was really quick but food quality was awful. The rice was still hard, only 6 prawn balls, the sea food in the noodles was inedible and the rest of it was just ok.

First time I ordered was around New Year, food was decent, so put another order in tonight, tasted like yesterday’s chips warmed up, charging £3 a bag for cold old chips and the rest was pony as well , stay clear. Just Eat won’t give me a refund I’ll go somewhere else in future, mank Chinese and jank firm.

Last night I ordered a half aromatic duck and other dishes for a total of £60. The duck was so over cooked that there was no meet to eat. Just a very dry and burned layer that couldn’t be separated, we had to put it in the bin. It is not the first time that the food quality is poor and so I have decoded to find an alternative Chinese take away place.

Meat in the dishes was very fatty and was very disappointed by the chicken fried rice we ordered. It was nothing like fried rice, just plain boiled white rice, extremely bland and something I could have boiled myself at home. Also the noodles were very thin, normally I’d expect egg noodles but these were more like Singapore and again the dish was very bland. Overall very disappointed!

Hi just to let the restaurant know that I ordered vegetable noodles as I’m vegetarian but there was pork and chicken in it. Please be aware of the error. Other food was great as normal.

Bland and tasteless! Clearly cutting down on ingredients. £30 for 2 mains and 2 rices and not even a free bag of crackers. Find somewhere else if you need to have Chinese….Avoid like the plague…. You’ll wait 1.5hrs only to be disappointed, trust me!

£5:50 for 1 crab claw is extortion, chow mien delish. Rice: stodgy and clearly reheated. Squid very chewy - even for squid very chewy! Mediocre and not worth £32+

If you like cold mush and covered in salt this is the place it is the worst I have ever had even the kids chips were rock hard the place needs closing down

Jade Garden has always been a favourite of ours, however sadly tonight’s meal orders were dismal. The beef chow Mein Tasted burnt (or perhaps old oil), the prawn dish was quite opposite to what I had envisioned and not very pleasant to eat. My husband’s sechuan beef tasted awful, nothing like sechuan chilli, he had two bites and was done. I had one bite and could not eat it anymore. The dumplings my daughter wanted were 4 small little balls taking up half the container only, at the cost of £5.60! In fact all the dishes were vastly overpriced and were literally half the portions from when we ordered the time before! Shocking! We will not be ordering from Jade Garden again!

I'm new to the area and fanced trying a local takeaway, OMG this was shocking !!! None of the dishes were good👎. The chicken balls felt like they had been fried 3-4 times and the chicken inside was not edible (see photo). Goes without saying, I won't be going here again and wouldn't recommend to anyone else either. I leave lots of positive reviews but not this time.

Costs more than other Chinese take aways. On a £40 order they didn't throw in any prawn crackers. Food was OK enough, I have had better though

Food not too good. Menu hard to understand. Ended up with no rice for the green curry. Prawn crackers stale. Pancake roll not at all crispy. Rice was sticky in the house special rice. All in all not good. A very disappointing meal that took an hour and a quarter to turn up luke warm. They were quoting 25 to 35 minutes during the ordering process. Been let down before by this restaurant. I should have known better.

Lovely food. First time trying jades and I we’ll be using again thank you. I’m getting married in the morning and needed a good meal to calm my nerves and you did exactly that. Thank you. ♥️

Tom yum soup was very nice, S+P chips were over cooked and just not nice I threw them away . Singapore noodles were OK. Not sure if I'll order again.

Excited to have a take away as we haven't had one in a while and ordered £45 of food from Jades. It was awful!!! chicken balls tasted so weird that I don't think it was chicken. Everything we ordered was horrible. I complained and she put the phone down, NEVER AGAIN !! Woke up feeling sick.

Jade is quite rude and her food has gone down hill quick. Greasy overpriced rubbish and I will not recommend ever again

I wasn’t impressed at all, we ordered the food at 17:27 and it didn’t arrive until 19:30 and when I tried to phone the restaurant it took 8 phone calls to speak to someone.

Probably the worst food I have ever had the chicken was sloppy and slimy the only way I can describe it. Binned after two mouthfuls.

Mixed reviews in the past. New to the area so thought I would try it out. Friendly staff, big menu. Food is good. Fresh and tasty without being too salty. Would go again. Surprised on the upside.

Food was unfortunately very poor. Over cooked chicken satay and both main dishes were rubbery and the prawn toast was cold and hard.. not the best unfortunately.

Peking Style Wao Ta Chicken with Garlic Sauce was basically battered chicken drowned in a really watery garlic sauce making the chicken really soggy(could not eat it) toffee apples and pancake roll were really nice and cooked to perfection

The Special Chow Mein was a bit bland with lots of bean sprouts, and their “crab claws” actually consist of ONE crab claw which they should specify clearly instead of using the word “claws”.

Absolutely fantastic food and service. Super accommodating of allergens, loads of veggie options. I genuinely do not understand how this place has any negative reviews. I've ordered from here several times, so here is a breakdown of my experience with them: 1. They have a huge selection of proper vegetarian dishes, whereas most other Chinese takeaways have little-to-nothing. 2. The staff were extremely accommodating of my partner's gluten intolerance, going out of their way to double-check our chosen dishes with the chef, provide allergen information, express their concern over the suitability of other low-gluten dishes etc. and just generally made us feel like they actually care whether he would get sick or not. 3. The food itself is delicious. I mean really, really good. It arrived piping hot, portion sizes were great, and it had clearly only just been cooked (as opposed to pre-made then reheated) because the vegetables were vibrant and still had a lovely crunch to them instead of being pale and soggy. 10/10, highly recommended!

I do not see why this place has only 2.9 stars (at the time of this review) because it is the bees knees. + Friendly staff, accommodating my gluten intolerance very kindly (they use potato starch baby) + Quick delivery + Actually fresh and nicely cooked vegetables + Loads of vegetarian options + Big recommend
