The soup was watered down and the pancakes only had leeks and carrots in and they charged me 7quid for them obviously saving themselves money I won’t be eating there again

not only did the deliver bloke got the wrong Address twice but the food tastes of nothing. I will never oreder from this please again.

This has got to be the worse Chinese I have ever had, food quality was so bad. The ribs were shocking, 4 tiny once and over cooked, I would suggest never to order from this place

Attended as part of a birthday celebration was supposed to be a meal and karaoke however the meal was awful, the karaoke was broken and myself and my husband both had upset tummy’s Some of the food that was received was cold including the prawn toast starter that came out almost 2 hours after ordering and the satay skewers too which also had the most vile stay sauce I’ve ever seen and did not consume the sauce! We received half our main before our starter about an hour after ordering it and the other half of the main & starter 50 mins later so an hour and 45 mins after ordering! When I said to the staff we had been waiting 2 hours the lady was very rude and sarcastic stating it hadn’t been 2 hours (sorry but 1 hour 50 mins was close enough to warrant that comment) it was disorganized and disgusting and they were concerned more about getting the karaoke machine working for the large party of people ordering copious bottles of Prosecco than the party of guests eating a meal Very unhappy will never go back totally ruined family birthday

Food to my birthday party was served cold, starters not complete, and some of the mains were served, then an hour wait for the rest of the meal which meant rice was cold and left on table. Sauces for sate looked like congealed jelly, most of the party only got half their orders, but at least they got something, I did not get anything to eat. One of the girls serving was disgustingly rude at one of my guests, after my guest asked where her part of her meal was as the noodles had arrived an hour an a half earlier, sat on the table, and it was ten mins from a two hr wait for the other part of her meal to arrive. Some people refused to pay for the food, it was horrible. We were supposed to have had a meal, and karaoke eve, we ended up really with nothing, a disgusting and very dissatisfying service, poor, chaotic, atmosphere. We ended up with a terrible experience, no karaoke, and a very disappointing 65th birthday party. Will never go back and will not recommend them to anyone. They definitely need to up their game. In fact they should close shop before they ruin anyone else’s celebrations.

Would not use that place if it was the last restaurant on the planet. Food was late, got the main before the starter, some of the food was cold, took 2hrs to cook bumplings. Was supposed to be a karaoke machine, that was broken. Put a damper on what should've been an enjoyable 3 person birthday party...

For what they charge, the portions do not stack up. Also the quality is not there. Strongly suggest you avoid better quality and value there

Was once a Chinese restaurant now turned Noodle Bar/Ramen restaurant. Food was OK, generous portion. Owner was very friendly and we have received a decent service. Atmosphere felt strange with too much empty spaces and mismatch decorations overall. We were shown the 4 huge karaoke rooms in the basement and there are various packages offered which they seem very reasonable!

Poor quality. Was delivered tofu when I ordered green beans. I requested no onions and the dishes were full of onion. The sambal chicken was watery and the chicken sparse. Really disappointed in the quality of takeaway, always enjoyed dining in the restaurant.

Completely ignorant of food intolerances. Supplied my wife with dishes full of egg and fish when specifically requested otherwise. You will kill someone.

Meal OK but Prawn Crackers tasted old when I was expecting freshly cooked.

Seaweed was inedible as tasted of very old fat from fryer. Chilli beef was too chewy and dry to eat. Duck was ok although cucumber was old and dry. Prawn balls were falling apart. No prawn crackers even though I spent £44. Won’t be using again

Restaurant was empty when we were there. Little did we know that for a very good reason. The food was abysmal. Smely funny, in a non-amusing way. Food was hust horrendous. We couldn't actually finish our meal and prefered to just pay and go away.

The food was lovely and the staff were so friendly. After we finished our food we went downstairs to one of the karaoke rooms they have. The whole night was amazing and I highly recommend it!

Seaweed was inedible, tasted of really old cooking oil. Chilli beef had hardly any chilli in at all. Duck and pancakes were ok, again tasted of old cooking oil.

Today I ordered via Uber Eats Honk Kong Roast Duck with Honey and Soy Sauce with Egg Fried Rice. I was surprised how much Duck’s skin and fat there was ( of course I didn’t eat fat and skin). I am having stomach ache now. I will never order from this place again. So much money for stomach pain.

Friendly staff, food was ready quickly for take away. Duck pancakes as a shared started and was very nice. Curry was lacking a little flavour but must disappointing of all the prawn balls were left out of the order and it wasn't discovered until we were home. Ruined the whole meal.

Horrendous. Salty, gelatinous, grey gunge, considerably worse than hospital food. I had 'red' curry. Awful. Tom yum soup. Awful. I got takeaway but I can't believe they'd serve this in the large restaurant they have, let alone in China. Avoid wasting your money.

Here is an example (pictured) of precisely what others have said: poor quality food, half the quantity expected, twice the price one would be prepared to pay. I found it insulting to have paid £26 and be presented with inedible food. This place needs to make significant improvements, until then if you make the mistake of choosing here - complain until you are refunded, or they will never change.

Ordered from Jade via Uber eats, the food was amazing. We wanted to try a new Chinese and this did not disappoint. We ordered a selection of different dishes and everyone of them was lovely - salt and pepper king prawns, crispy fried chilli beef, roast duck, sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style, sesame prawn toast and egg fried rice. Very friendly staff and delivery driver, food was really fresh and hot. Thank you for a great meal, we will definitely be ordering again!

Terrible overpriced 4 " shanghai buns" were actually tiny dumplings which were stone cold on arrival and the dough was terribly dried out as if they had been freezer burnt and/or microwaved. Most of them were rock hard on the outside.

Food was ok-ish (chilli beef a little soggy), some miscommunication on collection time as I got a phone call 10 minutes before asking me where I was. Assuming this means the food was cooked when I ordered not for when I wanted. The amount provided in the crispy shredded chilli beef was absolutely dire - for £7.60 I would have expected much more.

Absolutely appalling food. Worst ever. We called and complained, got abused down the phone. They came to collect and got more abuse on the doorstep. Thankfully we got a full refund from uber eats. Did advise uber to remove them. DON'T GO THERE!!!

Authentic Cantonese home cooking taste

Food was really bad .portions small .I had chicken curry not much chicken in it .also had chicken scewters in peanut sauce. The sauce look like brown water .awful .and rice was very sticky and greasy. Worst takeway I ever had in hove ever .my partner had lemon chicken and never got lemon chicken before soaked in lemon .normally you get lemon sauce separate too poor on the chicken. He wasn't happy .so will not be going back .very poor

Food arrived 2 hours and 45 mins after we ordered. When it was 30mins late we had to ring them to find out what was happening. When food did arrived things were missing. As for the food itself - we had to throw the tempura and another dish away they were so disgusting. Utter waste of time and money.

My lemon chicken and the satay chicken on skewers was amazing. My noodles was a bit salty but was enjoyed. They came earlier than expected and the man who brought them was really polite. I used to eat quite frequently there before the lockdown so yes happy and would try there again different flavours. I think they have put a bigger choice of menu too which is tempting me to try there again

Food was okay. Staff attentive, but I was the only one there. Lady was on her phone, or had earphones in. Ordered takeaway from here a few weeks prior, ordered the same dish, and obviously had different chefs. Need some similarity. The yellow bean sauce was black??? Wouldn't go back. Better, more consistent restaurants around.

We visited Brighton over the weekend and looked forward to having a Chinese meal. The quality and taste was very poor. The vegetables tasted old and we threw the curry sauce away as we have never tasted such terrible sauce. We went in person the next day to speak to the restaurant. Had they apologized and offered a refund, the experience could have been salvaged,but they didn't. I would never revisit this restaurant.

Disgusting Service! Rude and don't listen. Messed up our order and demanded we pay before served, as if discriminated against us. Plus when one of us payed , was talked to like an idiot and loudly over the use of a card machine. Was humiliating.

Such a disappointment! We usually use Kudos on Waterloo street but unfortunately they are closed on Tuesdays so we had to resort to Jade. Never again will we make the mistake of coming here. The food portions are disgustingly small, poor quality, terrible service and clearly they do not check the food before sending it out to customers. Sending a vegetarian a meat dish TWICE, and not taking responsibility or trying to resolve the issue is poor service and insensitive to dietary requirements. Ordered a VEGETARIAN noodles dish for takeout and took our food to go, and when we got home it was evidently the WRONG dish and had CHICKEN in it!When I called to complain and ask them to deliver the correct meal they said no because the delivery guy was already out. Before I had finished talking on the phone she rudely hung up on me! Without an apology!Once arrived back at the restaurant to change the dish we were presented, not with a vegetarian replacement, but a PRAWN noodles instead. We were also refused a refund despite them repeatedly messing up the order.We went in for a vegetarian noodle dish, we left with one chicken noodles, one prawn noodles, no beancurd noodles, and no refund, and no apology.Extremely disappointed!

The food was nice , was hard to actually get your order let alone anymore if you wanted it. We ordered duck pancakes and didn’t get them after ordering them 2/3 times . That’s half of the troubles we had , so when the bill came we said we would pay half the service. We then got confronted and repeatedly asked if it wasn’t good service. The food was actually really nice when we got it.

Apart from the fact that the first 4 things ordered weren’t on the menu and that you have to pay before you get your meal (now we know why!) Oh and you have to pay for tap water....even when they didn’t have sparkling! The food we did get was terrible. My crispy duck in hoisin sauce starter was bits of crispy batter...you could not tell it was duck and my main chicken stir fry in coconut milk, well it was a disgrace, ok, there was chicken and it was cooked in milk (NOT coconut milk - thank goodness I’m not lactose intolerant) and then maybe because they forgot, a few pieces of raw onion and green pepper chucked on top. We had to wait 30 mins for that delight too. I rarely complain or write a bad review but feel you should be warned! Of 8 dishes, there was one decent one, the beef with cashew nuts. Seriously, the rest was awful. The ‘’chef’ is either drunk or completely incompetent. The only plus was that the waitress was very pleasant.

Dreadful! Insisted on payment up front in case my wife and friend did a runner (were all in our 50's) food was almost inedible! No idea what they did with the chicken, if indeed it was chicken? Guess the fact the place was completely empty should have been a clue but we were hungry, and still were when we left........

We booked a table for 10 people, what a let down , the staff were really miserable and rude, the food was disgusting, greasy, tasteless , the meat was tough. No one else came in the restaurant while we were there, we were given hand towels that were out of date by 5 yrs, they smelt awful when we opened them, the bottled drinks were out of date. They brought up our main course but we had no plates or cutlery to eat it with, we had to ask 3 times for plates. Worse food and service I have ever experienced. DONT GO THERE.

Went for a friend's birthday. Should have been suspicious when we arrived and the place was empty. Our group arrived and we ordered drinks, all ok so far. Prawn crackers come out they were so stale we sent them back. I was told they were fresh, which I replied to when-yesterday? We ordered a selection of starters, satay, tofu, squid,seaweed and ribs. All of which all come on a giant plate piled so high we could barely see over it. Had they run out of serving dishes. I know Chinese food is salty, but this was outta this world! Staff could barley understand us and spoke very little English and had to keep refering to each other for help. Items we ordered were forgotten then we got to the point we gave up. We decided to order duck and lamb pancakes (the best bit in my opinion) to be told they didn't have any lamb. Really? No explanation as to why when it was on the menu. We had to keep asking for more drinks, service was appalling. We got to mains and they only took orders from 4 people then gave up. Been many times in the past and would never return. The only saving grace is the waitress who's been there for years is very nice. Avoid at all costs and save yourself from this awful experience. Must try betters Jade's.

We have been there couple of times and we liked the hot cooked buffet system. The food is tasty and nicely cooked. Only negative I would say is its price, which I think is on the higher side.

Visited Jades Chinese restaurant on Thursday evening. We hadn't been for many years but took a friend as we remembered what a fabulous restaurant this was. Sadly, we were so disappointed though. We were the only three customers, felt the two staff were constantly 'watching' us. The food just was not as we remembered, there was no atmosphere at all and as we tried to enjoy our meal there was a group of young Chinese teenagers constantly shouting, smoking by the main door and generally behaving in a very unpleasant, yobbish manner. Very disrespectful indeed and although I raised this with staff they didn't seem able to do much about it. Sadly we won't be going back and thankfully there is so much choice elsewhere in town where we can eat a lovely meal in a pleasant atmosphere. Sorry Jade but you do seriously need to up your game and hey what's this about 'cash only' for payment???? Are you in financial trouble???? Very expensive, food not the best and our evening was just ruined by this group of silly, immature, very disrespectful young teenagers 👎

La primera vez que visité, durante el Orgullo 2016 la comida era increíble, un montón de buena calidad, y el personal muy amable. Esta vez fue una historia completamente diferente.

Soy un gran fan de todo lo que puedas comer buffet y Jades ha sido siempre un favorito de la familia. La comida es de una calidad estupenda y el precio puede ser muy alta una vez que añadir bebidas, vale la pena en ocasiones especiales.

Me encantaba Jade procedente de Manchester y Liverpool que era utilizada para gran comida china y Jade utilizados para entregar eso.

Optamos por el "todo lo que pueda comer" menú. El servicio era muy lento y no muy acogedor. Nos sentimos daba y deshechar cuando un grupo de personas chinas en el restaurante para la comida, era evidente que estaban recibiendo un servicio especial. La comida estaba tomando más del doble de tiempo para llegar a la suya. comparado Incluso pidiendo un vaso de agua simple tardó 20 minutos, después de lo cual tuvimos que recordarles de nuevo. El restaurante era apenas un tercio completo.

I Had a delivery 15 minutes ago and I'm so angry right now, food was just horrible..no way..bland food ever!...taste? boiled rice vermicelli!!!..supposed to be cooked with carry sauce.. which was no trace of it in there. Vermicelli are called as 136.Mee Hoon Siam ..but what I had was nothing to do about this. I called back and a gentle girl answered at phone saying she doesn't understand English? ..than hang up! I called back and no answer at all. Than after several missed calls she answered and I told her to hand the call over the manager, she passed the phone to the person who, I m sure ...is the same persone who delivered the food to me at home, a familiar voice indeed ( the owner?) She answerd at the phone with very bad attitude saying the boss was not there.. I said again food was horrible and bland and if she would been so kind to take back this food and replace it with some proper Chinese style coocked food?! 😑 But nothing to do..she refused my request saying " I ll not refund the food! thanks to let me know that the food is horrible." ...than without let me finish she hang up the call again. P.s. I m really disappointed cos it was my favourite Chinese restaurant in town..Hove.. I m one of their habitual customer ,also because I live two buildings after them shop. I used to suggest this restaurant to all my friends and family but now I just feel as I just throwed my money away in the bin...I m at home with an horrible cold Not able to stand up and cooking and I feel like I ve been treat as a completely stupid. Be careful don't waste your money!

All you can eat with portions so small you have to order over and over again which is very tiresome. Bog standard takeaway style Chinese not frequented by the indigenous populace. And was almost empty.

Their " all you can eat" menu is really good value, and the service was pleasant and efficient. I will definitely go there again.

We are here last night and I have to say I won't be returning. I don't mind casual dress but the waitress was in a zip up hoody, leggings and trainers. She barely spoke any English so could be no help with menu just stating what is the number of the dish. The food practically followed her back out of the kitchen after 5 minutes another thing I hate. The actual food wasn't bad the prawns were good and my husbands chicken curry was a large portion. They seem to have cut corners and I noticed in the toilet they obviously don't want to pay for sanitary bins so just have a normal open bin with a sign. This is not very hygienic.

If you are fancy Chinese and you can't eat gluten... Don't even think about going. We have just asked and they were 3 people on the till and they confirmed that they don't do gluten free !!
