We visit every week . I do not know why , you are not made to feel welcome . Yesterday the person serving was really miserable and curt. They have employed recently A lady who is jolly , notices we visit every week and will say see you next week . I think the remaining staff should take a leaf out of her book. This has only happened in the past 3/4 weeks . We having been visiting for over a year . There are other cafes available now one would think they would value custom That said cakes are lovely

We eat here every time we visit Midsomer Norton. The food is well-prepared and reasonably priced. It is difficult to single out a particular aspect of their menu, but the cakes are to die for. The service is pleasant and prompt. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Arrived on a Sunday morning, stood there for five minutes without so much as a ‘Hello’ from multiple members of staff as I waited patiently for them to be done with the orders they had. Before I had the chance however the staff began to serve someone who had only just arrived before they even acknowledged me. A little put off and disappointed as someone who has visited multiple times before. My advice: Stand right up to the counter in their face so they are 100% sure you are waiting

Just a quick update on a few more cakes from Jacarandas – we tried the gluten free chocolate roulade (one slice had berries and one didn’t), the lemon drizzle and the carrot cake.  This means the team are about half way through the coeliac friendly selection!  Full 4* update at coeliacwellnes.com. The chocolate roulade and the carrot cake were excellent. The lemon drizzle however seemed to leak fluid as it defrosted.  It was a really hot day when we brought them, but it was a shame because the cake texture became really oily. Overall still excellent and looking forward to our next slice of cake.

this little cafe has been my perfect place for lunch or tea or snacks for many years. Their food is lovely. They have a small menu, but then its a small cafe/kitchen. Their cakes are home made and gorgeous, their lunch time specials are fabulous.. different meat and veggie meals at fair prices. I dont know why some reviewers are so nasty. if its not for you - just move on and go elsewhere. Jacs is the only cafe on the high street - and needs help now especially after lockdown. they are doing takeaways and observing social distancing. Thank you jacs...

I have been here a few times when in Midsomer Norton. It's a little cramped but I enjoy the view watching people walk past and if it's warmer you can sit outside. Today I had carrot and coriander soup and crispy bacon sandwich, tea and lemon drizzle cake. Soup was homemade, piping hot and tasty. Lemon drizzle also homemade and good. I slightly baulk at the prices as they feel more big city price rather than small town, but quality is good so once in a while, it's ok. I like the bonios by the door, welcoming for dogs too. Staff are friendly and helpful.

We so enjoyed our lunch that we came back later for tea. The food was very good, reasonably priced and arrived promptly, and as a bonus the staff were not only efficient but very friendly - they even had time for a brief chat which is quite rare! Jacarandas cafe is situated in a rather pleasant location on Midsomer Norton High Street which has an open stream running adjacent to the road for part of its length. This cafe is quite small, about 30 seats are inside with a further half dozen outside. At the time I visited - well before the 12-2 rush for lunch - it was already pretty full and I had to share a 2-person table. I placed my order for a large cappuccino (£2.25) and cheese/tomato omelette (£5.50) at the counter and took my seat. The cappuccino was delivered quickly but was incorrectly described as latte by the waitress who delivered it. The omelette (which includes roll and butter) arrived just a few minutes later, surprisingly quickly in fact considering the number of customers there. Disappointingly I was not offered a choice of sauces and none were available on the table - however my chosen flavour did appear quickly after I asked for it. Both coffee and omelette were delicious. The menu here should have something for everyone and includes a variety of all-day breakfasts, sandwiches, baguettes, soup, tortilla and paninis. Two types of cream tea are also offered as well as ice cream. All food also appears to be available for take-away, and at a lower price. This cafe has a 5* FSA 'scores on the doors' hygiene rating. There is a fairly small (one person!) toilet available for customer use - so I had to wait to use it before leaving. Opening hours are 8:30 to 4:30 Monday to Saturday. And there is a planning application currently with BANES council to extend this cafe which should resolve one of my criticisms. Disabled access would currently be difficult.Overall I can certainly recommend this cafe. The prices are a little on the high side for this type of cafe but that would really only affect regular customers and not occasional visitors like me. Just the rather confined interior and lack of attention to some points of detail make me award 4* rather than 5* here.

Popped in today at lunchtime for the first time, busy place so that's always a good sign. Usual coffee shop menu you expect, specials board with an excellent choice and plenty of vegetarian options which I am sorry I can't remember the choice but it wasn't usual run of the mill stuff. We opted for macaroni/ leek with warm bread, one latte and one cappuccino coffee £15. Waitress said there was a 15 minute wait on the food which was fine with us, we enjoyed our coffee while we waited. Food arrived and it was freshly cooked, well presented and a good portion size. A woman near us had a huge vegetarian lentil curry with rice and poppadoms, looked good too. Local business working hard so happy to support and will call in again.

Today 6th July 2015 wife and I made a rare visit to this restaurant which is well situated on the high Street of our home town.We had salmon and scrambled egg on a muffin which was tasty enough. You can sit outside overlooking the stream that runs through Midsomer Norton or you can sit inside though it should be added it is fairly crowded especially when mums and children go in.My main beef is with the staff. I have never seen such a stressed and unsmiling group of workers in my life. When we thanked the waitress she could barely raise a smile, it was like we were intruders. I do suspect the levels of pay and the quality of management. There is always always a reason for unfriendly staff.I hate to moan about an establishment on my doorstep but hey I write what I see.PS I have told Trip Advisor that this is establishment is not in Bath. the reason for the miss listing is that the post code was not included. I have told them what it is, BA3 2DA, so hopefully before too long it will be corrected and will gravitate towards the small number of listed restaurants in Midsomer as we call it.

I imagine most people don't review after only having a coffee but it never ceases to amaze me how many coffee shops and cafes serve substandard coffee. I only live 5 minutes from the High Street so usually just head home. However I tried Jacarandas recently and the coffee is lovely. The premises are clean and neat, always quite busy and staff are pleasant and friendly. The assortment of cakes and treats look lovely though due to a cholesterol reading through the roof and a waistline that could do with dropping a few inches I didn't try them so can't guarantee they taste as good as they look though they probably do.Anyway, coffee fans, crucially the coffee is great.

The staff are all very nice and friendly and even though much of the time they seem run of their feet they always manage a smile. There are magazines and newspapers to read and children are welcome. There are also some tables outside, which today, as it was sunny were being put to good use. Good value for money and they do takeaway as well if you are in a hurry.

I'm a frequent visitor to bristol airport, as my partner travels for work, so I'm often there to wait for his flights to come in. Unfortunately, there are very few options for anywhere to sit while waiting, other than cafe ritazza. Because of this, the cafe area is always busy, and all the regular/normal seating is always taken, so I have to try get my 50+yo arthritic, short arse up one one of their many Eiffel tower height stools, and if that's not hard enough, the darn things also swivel! No wonder all the other seating is always taken, and all these 'make yourself look like an ungainly idiot' seats are always free in huge numbers. Please please please cafe ritazza, rethink your seating options. Not everyone is an 8ft tall gymnasts.

I’m a travelling Australian and got excited about some home-style food but this was so bad. The rice clumped together like it was days old, the kale was discoloured and the serving size was pitiful. Could have made something much better myself for far less than the £15 I paid for this and a mediocre chai. Service wasn’t even friendly. I’m only giving it 2 stars because I had a juice there a few days ago and it was pretty decent - otherwise it would have been a one. And - on the plus side it didn’t taste terrible but the rice was a bit suss.
