Lovely fresh flavours. Great menu. Beautifully presented summer rolls. Lots of vegan choice. We really enjoyed our evening here. Attentive, friendly team looking after us. We honestly couldn’t fault anything. Support a local neighbourhood business and avoid the chains!

We ordered a takeaway for my daughter's birthday. Myself and 3 teenagers - so quite a large order. One of my kids is vegan and we ordered a vegan veg curry. When it arrived, it contained chicken. I called the restaurant and the person I spoke to was extremely rude and said we had ordered incorrectly. I did point out that I had the order open in front of me and I had not ordered a chicken curry. He would barely let me speak and kept interrupting me all the time. He insisted that they could not re-deliver the item I had actually ordered, however, if I wanted to order and pay again for a new order, they apparently did have a driver available for that. The rest of the meal was cold, tasteless and very bland - most of it went in the bin. It was also very overpriced. A very disappointing and upsetting experience, especially as it was a family celebration and one person ended up with nothing to eat. Luckily, when I complained to Ubereats, they immediately issued a refund as, they could clearly see from the photo that the dish contained chicken and also they could see from my order that I had ordered a veg curry. Will never be using this place again

We took a risk and ordered a Katsu curry ,spring rolls and Tofu dish .It was not cheap and the quality was very poor .Would not recommend.

Lovely local place with cool vibes and a great happy hour. The cocktails are delicious and food is pretty tasty too. Service is attentive if a little cold. There’s lots of choice including a whole sheet of vegan options, some is delicious, some is good. Glad this is on the doorstep.

Attended this restaurant for lunch. We were the only customers in at the time. Service was not bad but I was not impressed with the food. Everything looked pale and the taste was not great. Very disappointed.

Sadly didn’t get to eat here because the restaurant cancelled my booking at short notice because they told me that the customer booked in earlier in the evening wanted to push their booking back to my time. Confused and barely apologetic member of staff didn’t help matters.

Been here in the past and it has been fine but tonight it was awful. Salmon so overcooked I literally couldn’t chew it and ‘salad’ was a handful of leaves with some dressing on it, no other vegetables. 20% off but actually was overpriced in the first place

It was a a great experience ! The food was amazing, fresh and lovely served. Me and my partner enjoyed eating spicy chilly fish soup. It was delicious ! and very spectacular tea ;) really recommaned it.

A real gem in the area. Have eaten in and ordered takeaway from here many times and it never disappoints — highly recommend the fried tofu.

Very friendly staff, really tasty food. The starters in particular are delicious- I would particularly recommend the chilli pepper tofu. They also have an extensive vegan menu. I have gone for 4 stars as it is probably slightly overpriced for what it is, but it is a very tasty meal and a nice atmosphere.

We went to Itto before a gig at The Waiting Room and had a perfectly good meal and service in a nice environment so cannot understand the negative reviews. We ate the soft shell crab, chicken satay and the chilli squid - all cooked and presented well and good value for what we paid. Try for yourself and do not be put off by the reviews is my advice.

Avoid at all costs. We waited ages for our food, simple noodle soup, after 30 mins it hadn’t turned up so we left hungry and very annoyed having wasted precious time at the weekend.

The food in this ‘restaurant’ is assembled rather than cooked. Neither the chicken nor the vegetables in my green Tai curry had been cooked in the sauce. Nothing had any flavour and the chicken was suspect; frozen, probably, and there had been no attempt to fry it or cajole it into anything resembling tastiness. It had a pale, resigned appearance and in this it was complemented by the sauce, which was devoid of herbs or, indeed, sauciness. My son’s Katsu chicken was an equally disappointing heap of dry breaded chicken that smelled of chip frying fat, perhaps courtesy of the KFC a few doors down? Don’t be fooled by the candlelight or trendy decor. This is a SAD place (and their take away boxes are plastic too)...

Terrible fake food using cheap ingredients. It used to be bad but now it's inedible. Even if you are starving and it's the only place open, Avoid.

No creía que nadie en el mundo pudiera ser peor cocinando arroz que mi madre, pero habría tomado su corona. I ordered one starter and a main. It arrived kind of cold, the noodles were a solid block, very chewy and flavourless. No chop sticks or even napkins included. For this price, very disappointing

We went to the Stroud Green branch. There is everything remotely Asian on the menu which now goes as fusion. The curry comes in a little stove, the katsu comes in a box. The food is mediocre and very salty. The char siu bao was the best we had. We are not coming back in a hurry.

This place offers good food at fair prices, could do with some more vegan options however it has now become our new local, well done guys

I reviewed this place a few months ago and thought it was great. This time we were baby sitting and couldn't eat in the restaurant itself so we ordered a carry out. Sitting in is obviously a better idea as the presentation of the food is wonderful. However the food to carry out was just as tasty and plenty of it. I ordered by phone, walked round, picked it up and was back home eating it within 30 minutes.

Firstly I should say that this is a review of their takeaway service. Ordered two mains and two starters and were told it would be delivered in 45-60 minutes. Phoned up after 75 minutes to enquire and were told that the delivery man had just left, which is convenient since we live under five minutes' walk away.

Itto Noodle Bar was booked for a group dinner with friends in Stoke Newington. I'm not super familiar with the area so read a few reviews and took a punt on Itto. It really didn't disappoint - the food was cooked freshly, service was really good, price was very competitive and everyone commented on how much they enjoyed dinner. They have a very extensive menu so there was something for everyone, we had a few beers each, split the bill and spent under £40pp. It was great value.

I order a curry in the Stroud green branch- very bland, cheep ingredients and un-inspired. Starters were also very average, and food took a while to come out. Not missing anything here!

I regularely eat here for my lunch brake. Everything is really good and tasty. Ingredients are fresh and prices affordable. Would reccomend this place. It is not extraordinary food, but good value for money.

He comido y disfrutado la comida desde que abrió el establecimiento. Esta noche pedí una comida para llevar. . . . NUNCA MÁS. Costo 20 apenas vale 5. Bland, recocido y apenas cualquier comida. Los contenedores para llevar tenían más estilo que la comida. Qué vergüenza, es esta avaricia? Deberían estar avergonzados.

Habíamos pasado esto muchas veces cuando visitamos a nuestra familia en Stokie, pero esta vez nos aventuramos. Qué gran sorpresa, es solo un menú corto, pero había mucho para que pudiéramos disfrutar. Para empezar mi esposa tenía pasteles de batata dulce y tuve una porción muy sabrosa de satay de pollo. Para un plato principal tuve fideos de Singapur y mi esposa el pato aromático con panqueques. Todo estaba bellamente presentado en pequeños platos preciosos, tazas y cuencos. Con una botella de cerveza y un vaso de Malbec solo llegó a 39. 50! Valor fantástico para una comida realmente sabrosa. Volveremos la próxima vez que estemos en Londres.

Great service, good wine, nice ambiance and out of this world good. We had a selection of starters between us which were great, I then had the chicken katsu main, which came bento style with rice, edamame, bok Choy and pickled veg. Highly recommend.

Mi familia y yo hemos estado pidiendo desde la OIMT desde que puedo recordar. Después de un par de menos de llevar fabulosos recientemente, decidimos intentarlo. Y era tan bueno! ! Tenía los crujientes de tofu satay que era particularmente impresionante. Sus dim sum es fantástica, como son las sopas. . Todo es delicioso, la verdad! ! :)

La OIMT es genial, la comida de forma fiable. Usamos a la orden todo el tiempo cuando vivíamos cerca y nunca tuve un problema.

El lugar es acogedor y la comida es genial, pero el servicio de atención al cliente simplemente me decepcionó profundamente. El camarero derramado en mi amigo toda la copa de vino de ciruela pegajoso (tuvimos que pagar para limpieza en seco después!). Pero eso no es el caso, que puede ocurrir con todo el mundo, pero yo estaba tan indignado cuando nos dieron la factura sin descuento y + 6, 50 por cargos de servicio! ! ! Qué? ! ? ! Fui al propietario/gerente me preguntó por qué nos han cobrado por el vino y así en él sorprendió que exigía un descuento de 5 libras y tristemente ofrecieron. Realmente? ! Eso no es una cuestión de dinero, eso es el servicio de atención al cliente aquí! Y, por desgracia, no volver a ese lugar aunque la comida era buena.

Worst chicken phad thai I have ever had. Tasteless. Chicken was gross. Do not eat here. Vietnamese spring rolls were well over cooked. Waste of money. Gutted

Tardamos una hora en llegar en una víspera de miércoles. Gyoza era tan bueno como el tailandés con langostinos Phud pero tofu con jengibre y cebolla y pak choi con ajo era insípida, totalmente insípido. Realmente decepcionante, caro, comida cara. No será con la OIMT de nuevo.

Es un pequeño lugar para ir y cenar es nada elaborados. Una sopa de marisco ordenados pero tenía poco sabor tan decepcionada, que era más de lo que había comida aguado al mar. También tenía un fideos de marisco, pero no había muchas gambas podía contar aproximadamente unos 5 gambas diminutas. El servicio era bueno como eran amables y atentos de que necesitábamos algo. Podían hacer con una mejora en la comida pero tiene un buen ambiente. .

Our food juat arrived luke warm. The Prawn Thai green curry was totally tasteless - mild is an understatement....I left all of the slimy prawns as I wasnt sure they were even cooked but that was at least a saving grace for the veg which...

DISGUSTING SLOP. We ordered a deliveroo from here. Food was cold, smelt awful, old fat. Couldn't eat it. Don't bother. Really.

Stoke Newington is experiencing tremendous change of late; sadly the small family run eateries are disappearing and being replaced with fancy chains. Whilst I'm not totally opposed to this, gentrification is impossible to stop and chains do serve a purpose, though not to suit everyone. Be this as it may, as a Stokey local I do feel obligated to support the last remaining independents, of which Itto is firmly apart of. However of late the food at Itto, famed for being a staple cheap-eat has gone downhill. I've ordered a variety of dishes on the expansive menu in the past eight years, and generally have found most of them to be tasty, satisfying and offering good value for money.But the last six dishes or so I've ordered, only as take-away, have lacked taste and the prices have been creeping up for sometime now as well. It makes this cheap-eat not so cheap now, which is a shame. Prices will rise but the taste should not suffer. I note the shop front has been subject to another re-fit, and does look very nice but the old Itto was much more charming in my humble opinion. I hope Itto will improve but for the moment, I advise you order with caution OR try another place. Yum-Yum just across the road whilst being sub-standard generally has dining offers ranging from 25-50% off and a good happy-hour on drinks.

Very small portions they are afraid to give you a extra tempura carrot or floret vegtable! Very mean with there food for the price you pay when I contacted these guys about the portion being sooo small they tried saying it's because they are using bigger containers which is Soo untrue!! GOOD BYE ITTO........

10/10 so far...and we've only had their take away! All deliveries on time or early, all tasty and still hot. Friendly driver dropping the food off. Been great every time. Chicken satay skewers, chicken Gyoza, chicken and sweet corn soup and chilli pepper squid!

Get about 4 per year and have not been disappointed . Always quicker than expected and although not the cheapest in town there is always enough food and good quality . Kids in the family always ask for delivery when they visit so it's an easy meal .

Been going for 15 years so we have seen it made over twice. Went today for the latest new version. Ordered our usual big soups and, as usual, asked for spicy soup base (always used to cost 50p extra - but not on menu this time) . Waitress repeated it. Soups came with no spicy soup base, but nonetheless tasty. But we were charged a quid extra each for it on the bill. The waitress insisted she had told the chef and he had made it with the spicy base as she went to ask. But plainly it wasn't and I described the dish as we had always had it. This staff seemed happy to just refund the 2 quid but insist the waitress and chef had done their job. NEITHER HAD DONE AND IT WAS OBVIOUS. So after about 30 visits never again - also poor value for money compared to the good old days

We just ordered three dishes from Itto, one quarter shredded duck, one Szechuan chicken with egg fried rice and one Thai green curry with egg fried rice. The duck was extremely dry and the meat in the other two dishes was barely identifiable as chicken and weirdly slimy. The sauces were also tasteless. Oh and the egg fried rice had never seen an egg. Expensive and the worst takeaway I've had for a long time.

We have been getting deliveries of take-away food from Itto for about 5 years now and have only been to eat at the restaurant a few times. The takeaway was getting a bit inconsistent re: quality until their recent refurbishment and now they are back on form.We went for a sit-down meal recently and enjoyed it a lot. The restaurant menu has some items that aren't on the takeaway menu such as the Haochi octopus and seaweed salad - both of which were really tasty.Good, friendly atmosphere and more comfortable than when it had its canteen design.

I had eaten at Itto before and found it OK. On this occasion, I popped in for lunch with a small child. Our food was OK. When the bill came, I presented my card, only to be told there was a minimum spend. I could see no sign forewarning customers and nothing on the menu, but the person was adamant.I did put the child in the pushchair, walk to the ATM and come back with the money, but feel a fool for having done so.

I ho to this little cosy place from times to times. The food is generally nice, reasonably prices and the portions are generous. I went again today with friends, they redecorated nicely and slightly changed the menu and added a kids menu for 5.50. Had the chicken pad thai, which was delicious.

Use to love ITTO and ate there regularly but it's really gone downhill recently. The duck starter is really fatty and not the delicious crispy duck it used to be (gave it one last try today and it was awful). Curries are really greasy too...and since when was a Thai green curry supposed to have loads of tomato in it? I wouldn't mind so much if it said it had Tomato in it on the menu, it didn't. I won't be visiting again.

The starters were very good, while the noodles were not so good: not so many vegetables (a couple of very big ones and nothing else), and average chicken.For the price (not so cheap), I was expecting something more.

Ate at this restaurant tonight and it was lovely! Atmosphere was great, staff were great, food was perfect! Honestly couldn't fault it at all! Will definitely be going there again and will recommend to friends!

I've been going to Itto for over a year and the food is always wonderful. Their gyoza is to die for! Would definitely recommend it.

Been going here for about 15 years. Had an experience a couple of months back where we couldn't be offered a table and had to clear off without eating. Then tonight, I ordered Ho-Fun noodles with tofu and veg, with some satay tofu for starters and the other half had Singapore noodles. With 2 Tsing Tao beers.Waitress came back to tell us "No satay sauce" so you need to ask for something else. Ok, veggie spring rolls for starter will do. Beers took about 20 minutes to arrive and then nowt. Then the spring rolls arrived. And all the food. Together.And then my Ho-Fun noodles weren't even cooked. Nice veg but noodles were raw basically. i asked about this, and after asking did I want some more, I was asked, did I know what Ho-Fun noodles tasted like? Which felt a bit poor. They didn't charge me for them, which is good. But I find customer service slightly off of late tbh.Could do better, in many ways, imo.

We were very pleased with the service and food . We had spring rolls to start which were fresh and tasty with a chilli dip . Then prawn phad tai , crispy squid , and a really good seasoned peanut salad .The bill was more than reasonable .

Bought a takeaway from Itto tonight. We ordered Chicken Pho Soup, a Prawn Phud Thai and one starter with came to £18. The soup was very bland consisting of what seemed like watered down stock, nooodles, a meagre portion of chicken and no vegetables. The Phud Thai seemed to be the wrong dish or didn't consist of the ingredients that were listed on the menu. Overall very average, disappointing and overpriced for what it was. I wouldn't recommend it and certainly won't be going back again.

I have never written a bad review of anywhere before, but I had to write about this. The food was horrendous. Warm, slimely, watery, bright green thai curry that tasted mossy. Staff did not listen to requests for no tofu. Driver was very rude and "had no change with him" so we had to pay way more than the cost. Really, really bad food and service. Absolutely terrible.

Itto do some amazing dishes and their green thai and tom yum are dishes I often go back for. Wash them down with one of the many hand crafted tasty juice combos and you good to go.

My boyfriend and I get takeaways from itto regularly. It's great value (especially compared to large Thai place over the road). Always delivered quickly. Have eaten in too, very friendly, attentive service.

Having arranged to meet my best friend here, I was horrified to browse these reviews and nearly rang her to suggest going somewhere else. But we used to love Itto years ago, it was a welcome addition when it first opened and the food was always great. I'm so glad we went - our food was delicious and good value. The staff were patient, as we took ages to order and stayed late chatting - they weren't overly attentive but seemed to judge we were best left to our own conversation and kept their distance until we needed anything. With chains coming in to Stoke Newington, it will be in danger of losing its character, of which Itto is a welcome part, and we're glad it's still here, still cooking lovely food.

Never again. I went again there yesterday for about 6th time over the past several years. I ordered a starter and a dish I've ordered a few times before as a main, and I was unpleasantly surprised when it arrived that it was tiny. When I brought this to the attention of the stony-faced 'waiter' he treated me with scorn, blamed me for my choice and refused to do anything about it! As I was there with group of friends I was left with no choice but to sit there seething and in the end pay for that pleasure. This reminded me of a couple years earlier when I ate there while pregnant. The waitress stared at me and my belly, making me very uncomfortable but blatantly ignored when I tried to get her attention for service. And another time I ordered takeaway and when I got it home both the soup and the tempura were full of oil- disgusting. I don't know why I keep giving them a chance, but I WILL NEVER EVER EAT THERE AGAIN

I ordered Roast Duck and BBQ Pork Noodle Soup (£7:15) but what I got was half a litre of water, an absolute mountain of noodles, 2 completely un chewable pieces of Pak Choi and FIVE meagre pieces of meat.The lacklustre automaton response I got upon complaining was completely removed of human soul as is their food.

Nothing to write home about but what they do they do competently from my experience. Wine was over priced at £20.50 for a mediocre bottle of Chilean Sauv Blanc which can be picked up in a offie for a quarter of the price. Service was friendly. My friend and I were the last customers in the retsuarnat after lunch and we weren't put under any pressure to hurry along - which was appreciated.

We've been getting take-aways from Itto for several years now. The soups are brilliant and very satisfying. The other dishes are variable. The sweet and sour chicken can be like a routine Chinese take-away version, filled out with chunks of pineapple, red pepper, etc. The combi roast with noodles is perfect when it's fresh, but other times it's dark and greasy and other too dry. The pad thai can be very stodgy.

Polite and friendly staff. Good food. Fantastic deco. Lovely plates and chopsticks. It is my much preferred local Asian restaurant. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxing and not expensive lunch/dinner out.We have just celebrated my Bf s birthday and they prepared everything with much love, for 20 ppl!. Also, they allowed us to bring the Bday cake. Everyone had a great time.

We thought this place was Italian until a few years ago (doh) but it's a really lovely fusion (Vietnamese / Chinese / Japanese) restaurant, serving fresh, delicious dishes at really great prices. Since they changed the menu, you could quite happily graze on their dim sum starters for the whole meal - sao mai, char siu buns, gyoza, tempura, etc. However their main courses - pho, phad thai, curries, stir fries etc - are also excellent.Staff are charming and helpful. We were perfectly happy before their stylish refurb, but the loos are now much nicer and the ambience is relaxed, intimate and informal.If you're expecting more adventurous, authentic Vietnamese, you'd do better further down Kingsland Road, but it's certainly much nicer than Yum Yum across the road, at much better prices.Eat-in and takeaway / delivery.
