itsu - The Shard in Southwark

Ordered for delivery and received half a portion of the Thai Chicken Rice Bowl. They didn’t include any napkins, spoons, chopsticks – nothing. I know what the portion should be like because I've ordered it before, but this place really messed up.

We had a teriyaki rice bowl and gyoza with noodles in broth which were both very good. The restaurant was very quiet in the evening but the service was friendly and the food came very quickly. There are cushioned benches, charging points and security clips under the high tables.

The staff (Gabby and Christina in particular) are super helpful and pleasant. I am always surprised by the fact that they always remember my usual order. The food never disappoints and the restaurant is always clean. Most people in the office always get their lunch from there too.

Best itsu I’ve been too, they’re all pretty good but the shard itsu is elite. Always clean, the atmosphere is chilled and the staff are so polite, Christina was especially helpful but she always is.

My partner and I have been visiting while she's been using a wheelchair. Gabi and the team have been really helpful by making sure we have an accessible table, or offering to bring out a table and chair for us if it's busy. And we always get a very warm welcome. Thanks and see you again soon.

I'm a huge fan of ITSU food but what I think deserves a special mention is the customer service at ITSU-The Shard. Gabriel is the most attentive and warming customer service professional I have met in a very long time. She pays attention to everyone walking into the store. ITSU is lucky to have such a dedicated and passionate employee. Kudos to you Gabriel! keep doing what you do and I bet you'll go places.

great place to grab a meal at lunchtime - I work nearby and go most days I'm in the office. I rarely have to queue for the self-checkout, there's always a place to sit and the staff are great, especially Gabby. the sushi is good - I'm originally from Australia and being so close to Asia we're used to getting the best quality Asian produce (that doesn't just mean Indian folks) and this chain is as close as I can find for delicious, authentic, Japanese quick takeaway. I'm on the loyalty programme and was delighted when my freebie wasn't just the miso soup but was automatically the main sushi meal. I now save these up for when I'm broke just before payday :) would love it even more if they brought in a brown rice option.

I visited the London Bridge store for the first time as I was curious about the menu, and was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming atmosphere! A special mention to Gabi who I found to be very friendly, extremely attentive, and very, very patient as she explained the menu items. The sushi and the salad that I can eventually ordered was delicious and soooo fresh. I'm not easily pleased, but this is definitely my go-to place for lunch! She is definitely an asset to this branch!

Phenomenal sushi. I consistently visit this restaurant during the week, and I am never disappointed. I have had wonderful service from Gabby. She has been a great help such as informing me of the app and discounts. Gabby has also recommended me what is now my go to meal, which i’m very happy she shared with me.

I work at the shard and every time i can I go to itsu for my lunch, I love the food from there and the service from Gabi is amazing, such a kind and friendly girl.

Itsu at The Shard is just exemplary from their food, ambience and staff. I have never been disappointed by their healthy food choices, clean store and commendable staff. Special mention to Gabby who has always been accomodating and she was also the first one to inform me of an NHS discount I could avail which is such a great savings already. As a customer, I am glad being offered options I could take advantage of. It makes me feel more valued. Thus, I keep coming back with a smile.

Great place to pop in and eat for lunch. There is always tasty food on the menu. All staff are great especially Gabby who is always helpful and so brilliant at her job always making sure the customer needs are met.

Get rid of the self serve kiosks and give people some customer service

I found worms inside the cooked salmon rice i purchased today.. i actually didnt plan to escalate but i literally receive no apology from Itsu… this is ridiculous

Lovely place to escape the hustle and bustle of London bridge. I found eating in there peaceful and tranquil. The food came in 1 minute and was warm and delicious. Staff are such a help and I will definitely be back

Rápido y cómodo. Tú mismo te sirves y luego pagas; eso sí, si comes en el sitio tienes que pagar un plus, no entiendo el motivo pero así es. Habían opciones para veganos/vegetarianos y genial porque no hay muchos sitios de comida asiáticas con opciones para todos. Personalmente me pareció un poco caro pero es que en Londres todo lo es y si lo comparamos, pues dentro de lo que pudo ser… pues ni tal mal.

I was going to give it a 5 star until I got home and found in the bag it was missing 2 things. I am physically disabled so I asked a male employee for help. It looked as though he had helped me but like I said in the bag when I got home found 2 things missing. Not good experience next time I go to Guy's hospital for an appointment will not be going there as I have been going regularly to Guy's hospital for medical appointments since 2019 had passed this place and thought I would treat myself to some sushi as I can't make it myself anymore due to pain. Sushi wasn't good as well. I got taught by Japanese people to make sushi. Rice wasn't even shiny so no fan going on when they included the rice vinegar. Make it yourself quicker and nicer.

Food was nice- can’t fault it at all. Have given a 3 star rating only because my daughter was accused of stealing her meal by the bald guy working there. She showed him her receipt straight away and he didn’t even apologise yet made a scene in front of other People there! I understand mistakes can happen but he dealt with it in the wrong manner. I told him nicely that he could have apologised and his answer was “why should I apologise, I thought she didn’t pay” Disgusting attitude. He clearly shouldn’t be working in retail as has no people skills.

Great (relatively speaking) for sushi. But the Ramen was super disappointing🍜 - specifically the noodles and broth. Bao we’re decentish, Gyoza were pretty good.

Disappointed in the sushi. It was boring and tasteless. The famous chicken coconut soup was very good though.

Ordered vegetable gyozas and the teriyaki meatless meatballs rice bowl. The gyozas were nice albeit no dipping sauce was provided (box even says free dripping sauce included). The teriyaki meatballs is not what was delivered instead some soupy rice dish was. The container is labelled as teriyaki meatless meatballs but the contents do not match This is clearly a massive issue especially if I had an allergy as the contents seemed to include nuts.

Never been here b4 but it was so tasty and lovely. And reasonably priced.

I came there around 7 pm and was told they don’t have hot foods. Not even soups. Sushi tastes ok, not impressed.

Have used this Itsu many times before and it is usually good but this order was a big disappointment - it was not what I ordered and I didn’t like it after deciding to try it. Generally disappointing. Not sure whether to risk it again as a result

Didn’t realise that wasabi and ginger didn’t come with sushi. Seems odd. Would have liked it as it doesn’t really feel like sushi without it. Also, would be helpful if sold out items appeared on the website rather than taking time to choose only to be called to say they’re out of stock

The order was completely wrong, not a single item correct. And to add insult to injury It was late, initially delivery was within 20-40mins, ended up being 70+ minutes later, and the restaurant is not far away. My utter disappointment was further compounded when I didn’t receive a full refund, they still kept the service charge. It wasn’t a large amount but it’s the principal. Bad experience all round.

Rice was not stick, you tried to get the food with the chopstick and the less pressure you did the food disassembled.

Original delivery time was 5pm and it came at 7pm. Unacceptable really.

I ordered 2 thai chicken but I received 1 thai chicken and 1 thai udon. Please be careful about the order you are putting in a bag.

Attention ici il faut rentrer dans la station sous sol afin de rejoindre Itsu. Repas agréable et rapide. Parfait pour ne pas perdre trop de temps entre deux visites :)

I've been a few times for various rice pots at lunch and they have always been very satisfying. First time I've been for breakfast, I'll definitely be coming back. I had eggs Benedict on a Bao, and it was perfect size with 2 poached eggs (also perfect). Filling but not bloating and only about 350Kcal.

Absolutely lovely food! They have this deal where they give away crispy seaweed things, which are great, but not as amazing as the Silica-gel at the bottom of the packet, I have no idea why they would suggest not eating it, it's delicious!

Nice sushi. It's a bit pricey, but it is central London. Don't bother with their drinks - the cucumber and mint water is pretty horrible. The tonics (I tried the mandarin and lime) taste like a weak squash.

Sushi is always fresh and tasty, lots of interesting snack options too.

Great service, and great food just remember that you need to ask for ginger / soya sauce / wasabi at the counter as some of the sushi platters don't come with it.

Love the food, the chicken pieces in the soup are white meat only. It s a little more than other chain serving similar fare, worth it. Yum
