Istanbul Flames in Medway

Do not order from their website- called as our order was an hour late, to be told it was on its way - nothing! Called again just to be told that that website closed last week and they didn't have our order. Apparently the manager is going to call tomorrow to sort this out but that doesn't take away the fact we now have waited 2 hours for food for nothing! DO NOT ORDER OFF THE WEBSITE

Avoid! Had a chicken doner been throwing up for 2 days got salmonella poisoning do not recommend this establishment very poor hygiene practises clearly happening here

This was my first and last order. I ordered a large kebab, but the amount of meat was tiny and tasteless, with over half the box filled with salad. The sauces were wrong, and the chips were awful - burnt and soaked in oil, mixed with some fresh ones. Completely unacceptable.

When almost all the kebab goes in the bin that is all you need to know really. Meat was cold and tasteless. Everything swimming in grease meant the pitta bread was soaked and awful. The "salad" included a HALF an uncut onion. Truly dreadful and overpriced

Delivered way before expected time which was good, the food on the other hand…. Yes it was hot, only really edible part of the order was the portion of chips everything else ( pizza, chicken wings and garlic bread) was disgusting never again.

Wow,wow, wow, fantastic meal. Just love the shish chicken kebabs. Super fast delivery, excellent when you are really hungry. Best in the area by far.

DONT USE THEM - VERY POOR ATTITUDE AND SERVICE - CANT STRESS ENOUGH!!! Ordered food today , chicken special kebab but was sent wrong order with ingredients missing after 40 mins. Upon calling them they wouldn't refund or make up for the order. Yet kept asking me to go online to complain and request refund, when checked online there is no option to complain or refund. Called back again, at which point they told me to continue with the complaint by calling on number on the website and that they don't have anything to do with the website as the order payment is taken by website. The number on the website is their shop number which i was calling on in the 1st place. Then they keep handing the phone from one attendant to another and told me to contact their boss ‘Ali’ in the morning and that they cannot do anything for the mistake they have made. In short, the conversation over the phone was useless and unfruitful, after 20mins on the phone requesting either the correct order be re delivered and incorrect order be taken away or offer refund. No resolution. WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!

Chicken burgers weren’t very nice and the chips were soggy. Pity food is usually top notch.

I was very disappointed I ordered a chicken kebab with salad the food was cold hardly no salad which looked off and it tasted off too never had such a bad kebab never ordering again.

Ordered waited 1 hour no order arrived so I called was told machine doesn't print order. When using the website. No apology nothing shocking...

Food was not the best then 20mins later I was vomiting and had food poisoning for 2 days and I hadn’t eaten anything but this food that day so I wouldn’t recommend unless you want to torture yourself for 2 days with no stop vomiting. When we went to complain the manager was very rude and ignoring us and said he didn’t care at all this was really disappointing and honestly embarrassing as he didn’t care much about what his food was doing to some customers. Like I said I wouldn’t recommend and there are far better ones around the area to choose from that will give you better customer service and food that doesn’t want to make u kill yourself.

First time ordering and we ordered the half pounder burger meal which was excellent,lovely fresh salad and good quality burgers. Meat and chips meal deal was also great with. Fantastic homemade chilli sauce which has a lovely kick to it… would have loved more chilli sauce and cheese on the burger but apart from that was very please with our order last week.. would definitely recommend and we are ordering again this evening thanks everyone …

Delivery was estimated for 19:40,however at 19:20 got a message saying it was coming. By 19:30 I had a message saying enjoy your food. I figured it was an error and gave it some time. 20:00 still no order, ran the restaurant and they said few minutes. At 20:15 still nothing, rang restaurant and they said 5/6 minutes driver was lost. 20:30 the order came, no apology. Food was soggy and stone cold. Was a shame as I regularly order but wasn’t worth the money.

The salad that comes with it has got less and less since we started using this takeaway in lockdown, i now even pay 50p for extra salad. I had an extra large chicken special with extra salad. £15.50 and asked for no lettuce. It turned up with browned soggy lettuce, when I had said no lettuce. No onions? And very little of anything else. I phoned to complain to be told that they only really charge for the meat, a kebab isn't about the salad. I told them salad is expected with a kebab and it's been so little lately I now pay for extra salad. He said we'll 50p is nothing. Maybe, but £15.50 is! He said as it was extra large they can't fit the salad in the box! Do I expect him to pack it separately? No salad, terrible attitude, stale unwanted lettuce. I won't be returning!

Not happy with this place they cannot even cook calzone, full of tomato sauce hardly can see cheese and cold kebab inside! I feel sorry for anyone who eats here disgusting place there lucky im giving them one star save ur self the hassle dont go there !

WORST KEBAB SHOP IN KENT ! Their calzone is rubbish hardly filled with kebab and cheese. Saw them picking up salad from the floor which accidentally fell on the floor.

Underrated place. The food is tasty and reasonably priced. The staff is warm and welcoming. It can be busy at times, which suggests that the quality is good.

Always have take aways from this place. Tried the chicken burger tonight and oh my god amazing proper chicken no grease devine

Unfortunately this place used to serve very good food , and pizza. Not sure what has happened !,since last 3 to 4 times ,food isn't that great , pizza toped with too much cheese and not much chicken pieces. Disappointed.

We've ordered from here for years. The food is consistently good, the delivery service is reliable and if you order in person, you'll see that the busy little shop is always clean. The staff are friendly too.

I have always used this kebab as it's quite literally 3 mins away and when I have ordered a burger they have always fried the onions for me. Today whoever it was told me "no we don't do that" and I told them they they always have before and they still refused so I ended up saying it's ok I'll go somewhere else, to which they were fine with. It takes a minute to fry some onions, wont be going back as they guy was quite rude. Went to Ramzeys grill, lovely service and 2 quid cheaper.

Used to be fantastic, mine and my daughter's go to for pizza but the pizza before last was very greasy and the pizzas I ordered last weekend I ended up cancelling as the price was over £2 more than normal, since when did takeaways put their prices up for Christmas plus previously the people on the phone and one of your delivery staff have been incredibly rude and chauvinistic. Istanbul flames the Kemp household will never again use you and we will be advising family not to use you

Quality went down the hill lately. Orders come without sauces. Cant get basic orders right. Used to be great. Now ordered food for four, all four orders wrong. Asked for large chips with garlic sauce - got plain chips. Ordered 2 children meat and chips portions, came without sources. Ordered small lamb doner - got meat and bread without any salads and hair. Horrible

Food used to be lovely I think it may have changed owners as they can't even be bothered to put your kebab together and they burn everything

Normally get pizza here but bother were sick so must have been so.e off cheese or meat.

Once a regular customer to this kebab until moving out of the area I decided tonight to treat myself as I was driving past. I really wish I had saved my time AND money. This place has gone down hill on a massive scale.. The prices do not reflect the portion size at all. Very small for the price paid. ●CAUTION● IF YOU PAY BY CARD.. I was over charged, if it wasn't for the instant spend notifications on my banking app I wouldn't have realised until I had got home!! The amount over charged was given back in cash when I went back into the shop, yet still, its the principle! There are much better kebab shops in Gillingham (and Medway). Won't be going back.

I have ordered at least two kebabs each week since Feb 2022. The quality and quantity of meat and salad is always first rate. The delivery drivers are always polite and friendly and delivery sometimes has been as quick as 6 minutes! always within 30 at the most.

Absolutely disgusted with the customer service I’ve received. I’ve been a very loyal customer, use them weekly for years and I’ve just received a cold meal, not even warm. It’s now 9:20pm, called to complain and they will only replace it (which will take another 30-45 minutes) or give me a discount next time? It’s late, I don’t want to wait till 10pm to have my dinner… it should be a free meal next time if they’re willing to do that now.

Called to chase up my order via Just eat - on my bank app it showed that payment went through but in The just eat app I couldn’t see the order so I called the restaurant up only to be sworn at - was told to “stop f’ing calling every 5 mins (when this was my only call) and then I was told f**k off! I told them to issue my refund and they told me f**k off again. Never in my life have I received such appalling and inhumane experience. Absolutely Disgusting. I wish you all the bloody worst possible and have all the evil eyes on your crap buisness
