Good food and friendly staff well worth a visit

Normally it's great but unfortunately had some cod roll and it's was horrible and mushy and the batter wasn't great, ended up with a bad stomach!

The worst chips shop I have been to chips was like mash potatoes fish cake was burnt sausage cold said last time i went a would not go again lesson learnt be aware people

I ordered the food at 4.30 and it got delivered at 6.02 the delivery time just kept going up and up. last time I ordered from this restaurant they missed off an item but did rectify that issue so I thought I would give them another try but honestly the food was average both the fish and the chips were chewy and tasted like they had been reheated. They won't be getting a 3rd opportunity. As for just eat you need to raise your game as far as delivery is concerned

Very generous portions, good value for the money, scrumptious.

Been using this chip shop since the early 90s and admittedly its been up and down. Sadly the last few times I've been in the Uber Eats deliveries seem to take priority over physical customers in the shop. Tonight it took around 25 minutes from ordering to leaving the store. Meanwhile the delivery drivers were coming and going while the queue got longer. Food was good so no complaints there but just a shame the customers aren't put first rather than some bloke with a cool bag.

Great staff, food is really good, probably one of the best chippies round here since Kevin shut down on the Kestrel Estate a few years back. Recommended 👌🏽

Your driver drove into the close but parked up out side another person's home for several minutes, I stood out side my home with a torch and porch light on then your driver parked up, I had to put my order into our airfryer it arrived cold. Not good after I had sent a tip for £2.

there was no notification that order was on its way. when it arrived the order was missing 3 gherkins. the fish was hard and not nice. very dissappointing

Really disappointed this time. Both me and my partner barely touched it. chips undercooked, fish extremely oily. Seems like hit and miss these days, never know what quality you are going to get.

Was quite disappointed this time the batter was not nice at all it was flat & tasteless as if too much flour was used which really surprised me because yous guys are usually on point. Was also a curry sauce missing from order

Charged for someone else’s meal - much bigger order than mine. Undercooked chips and enough raw onion in my burger to give indigestion to a whale. I applaud the business for hiring young people, but please make sure they’re competent.

Unfortunately, this time the chips were undercooked and far too much salt to the point where they can not be eaten.

I want to say a huge thank you to the Manager of Anchor Seafry. My order was mixed up,.I telephoned the shop and matter was resolved. The chips were perfect and the sausage and burger was hot and delicious. Thanks so much ☺️

Never turned up staff very unhelpful and wouldn’t phone the driver or give me my money back. Avoid!!

food was great, delivered 20 mins after pre ordered time, but then allow half hour anyway so not all bad.

The best Fish and Chip restaurant in Kent. Always serve the freshest fish. The staff are always helpful and polite I have no hesitation in recommending this place to everyone. They also have a cafe/bistro next door​ great for pizza burger full English breakfast etc.

Turned up on time, and the food was lovely

Food was ok, chips weren't great. Order was missing items, called to let them know, but was basically told there was nothing they could do. Disappointing.

Definitely one of the best chippys in Chatham! 😋 Its like going back in time when I was a kid with this place as over the years chippys have gone downhill and nothing has came close to how amazing our little local chippy was till I came across this little chippy shop in lordswood! They are definitely the best place for Fish and chips in the medway and I've tried them all 🙌

9 times out of 10 I get chips from here they are absolutely spot on! No problem with the service and the place is clean and tidy.

As much as I love my gf Tuesdays I am not going to pay £35.00 for 2 cod, 1 chips and a curry sauce anymore, it’s too expensive

delivery times kept fluctuating, chip's were quite hard fish was poor and the batter was very stodgy. I'm really disappointed I have used this fish and chips shop for many years. l hope they were just having a bad day.

Manager is very nice and chatty. The general atmosphere is very nice and usually isn't too busy. Food comes out quickly. Great place to go for a fish and chips in Medway

As a family we have been coming to this fish and chip shop since I was a child as the portions are generous and they are very tasty.

Just ordered the usual from the only chippy we use. Quick service and lovely hot fresh food as always. I cant fault this place!

Awful, batter not fully cooked. Had 2 meal deals and only 1 can of drink was in the bag when we got home. Very disappointed.

food quality not good at all certainly not value for money, fish looked like it was from the night before, very dry outside and in had to soak it in vinegar. chips were shocking once again like leftover scraps. we used to love eating in when the restaurant existed but this left a lot to be desired. won't be ordering from there again.

usually the food quality is very good however this was possibly the worst fish and chips I've had from them the chips were scraps and the batter was soggy. the food was cold however that is because the courier did not follow the directions given and spent too long finding us. not happy

really disappointed as usually food I've ordered from here before has always been lovely. I ordered a cod and chips meal tonight and I ended up giving the fish to my dogs as it was so dry I couldn't eat it and I left most of the chips as they were so dry and hard. I got in late from work so ordered my meal quite late so put this down to the fact it had been sitting under the heat lamps most of the night. If I order again I'll make sure I order early in the evening.

Great service , everyone enjoyed the meal as we know from the past thus is our favourite place as the quality is very good and large portions.

Not sure if they have changed hands but this time the food was dreadful (in the past it has been very good). Fish had an odd taste, mine had a massive piece of backbone in it and it was just unpleasant. We threw most of it away.

Been coming here for years and Cannot belive how rude the staff are now. There all around 14-15(or seems so) and are to interested in listening to there ear pods than taking orders and getting them right. Can’t belive how down hill this place has gone with its staff. Food was nice but after service like tonight and last week never again. A customer walked in and asked for a menu, the guy serving didn’t even talk to him and just pointed the the tv menu screens on the wall, the customer said I wanted to take one home to order and all the man serving said was “No” i Felt embarrassed for the owner.

Really fresh tasting fish, chips quite chunky which is to my liking. Today the food seemed a bit greasier than usual but that didn't detract from the flavour.

Got fish and chips tonight batter rock hard, chips were hard and full of oil. Not a great tatse,? Fish in side the batter was very dry, this place use to be great years ago, now its probably one of the worst ones in the area.

Cook really well and didn't take long and driver was very respectful will order again I always love your food

We've ordered from here a few times and always been good but tonight was very disappointing. Food had been packaged very badly so fish was at the bottom under chips and was soggy and stuck to the paper so bad it was not edible. Food was warm at best.

I’m on chemotherapy and asked if it could be hot, ( as we have to be careful with food) ——10/10, I enjoyed everything, it was all freshly cooked, hot and delicious… definitely recommend.

Just eat never delivered. The wonderful manager ended up delivering the food himself and could not apologise enough. Shame on just eat. The food was amazing from this place.

Food was good but found 3 bones in my fish so not happy as could of swolled it or hurt myself still waiting for some compensation but haven't had nothing back yet and it's the next day

Used quite a few times now, food always good not greasy however this time "jumbo Saveloy" standard size not Jumbo

I ordered from here on a Saturday night which would be a busy night, it came within 20 minutes, was piping hot, packaged so well and absolutely delicious.

Chips and fish was warm. Sausage, saveloy, chicken and pie were freezing had to re heat in microwave- missing tartar sauce very disappointing.

Can't believe I'm writing a bad review again but... Ordered medium cod & small chips, pickled onion, waited 10 mins despite 7 staff behind counter, fresh fish & plenty of chips available, when served , double checked with staff order correct as seemed large, told yes. Got home to double portion of chips, no fish. last time I'm using as seem incapable of getting anything right. Too many kids serving, too much emphasis on phone & similar orders, no care for walk in customers!

Irritating that the delivery time kept getting changed… ordered at 19:10 and initially told 19:40 delivery… eventually arrived at 20:50! Lady at shop was friendly and helpful when I phoned to find out where the order was.

Ordered at 7pm but didn’t arrive until 9:10. Food wasn’t very hot when it did arrive and some of it was a bit soggy. We we’re missing 2x chips and drinks with the burger meals and missing a sausage.

Chips this week were perfect. Last week's were so bad and this week they were perfect. Come, Anchor Fry, get it right every week.

Food cold when delivered, partial order missing and cod was greasy and soft,due to oil not hot enough when they cooked it. This place is going down hill, time to find a new chippy 😞

Visited on recommendation of a family member who lived in the area. A big order, with some mistakes made but staff corrected it without any issue. Quality of food was good, portion sizes of both adults and kids were value for money.

Lovely food delivered nice and hot, friendly and polite delivery driver.
