Island Poke in City of London, Westminster

Was working close by and decided to take a look. The food was very impressive and something a bit different. The Teriyaki chicken with a combination of pineapple and avocado. The portion looked small - but it was very filling. Only criticism - there's music louder than I'd personally prefer, inside - but may be that's just me.

This place is amazing the food here is very fresh and tasty, the staff are very helpful they explain exactly how the process of creating your own Poké bowl is done and overall a very pleasant experience I would really recommend this place for food they have vegan options it’s and also a non-rice option as well.

Ordered and paid for my food from this restaurant probably 4 times for delivery. Each time no communication from the restaurant, and then when I call after 1.5 hours of waiting to find out where my food is, they are rude and confirm that the food just isn’t coming at all because they don’t have a driver available. Shame because the food is good, but terrible service. Have learned my lesson and won’t bother ordering again.

Uno de mis lugares favoritos para almorzar en la ciudad. El pescado es agradable y jugoso. El personal puede ayudarlo si no sabe qué elegir. Definitivamente lo recomiendo!

Island Poke se encuentra en un lugar fresco en Broadgate Circle con algunos asientos al aire libre y una decoración colorida y brillante en el interior. La primera vez que probé picar y fue excelente: ingredientes frescos y de calidad y una gran porción. Es algo un poco diferente que siempre es bienvenido y también bastante saludable. El servicio fue muy amable y eficiente.

My previous experiences eating poke bowls have been far better. The tastes in the preset me u did not go so well together. Usually the poke includes more tastes and fresh ingredients. Maybe there are better poke bowl places in London

I had never tried poke before so was excited to give it a go. It seems that there are quite a lot of places in London that sell it, but that it hasn't spread to much of the rest of the UK yet. I was overall very impressed, but I found it a bit of an unusual food- I used to live in Japan so essentially eating something similar to sushi but with fruit as well (in my case mango) took some getting used to. The price wasn't cheap but I thought the portion was very generous and filling, so it was worth it. My favourite thing about the poke bowl I ate was actually the rice, which I thought was absolutely delicious. A healthy, tasty and exciting option if you are in the area.

thought I would try something new for lunch - and wish I hadn't. There best seller? Ahi tuna was a funny colour and really slimey...I'm hoping I don't get ill from this later on today........... I visited their St Pauls Branch by the way - so unsure if other Island Poke's have unslimey tuna.

Very fresh and good pokebowls served in plastic bowls. Nice and quick staff. You can mix your own pokebowl or choose from the menue. The pineapple in the bowls is delicious. A few tables outside byt you can also sit inside in this tiny foodplace. No alcoholic drinks are served.

Poke is Hawaiian for ' cut' or 'dice' and basically is cubed or marinated fish served on a base of rice, slaw or greens. Here at Broadgate Circle, there are two small bars : one is the cash register and the other is a huge ' Build Yoir Own Bowl' station. You pick the base, either warm brown or sushi rice, greens or slaw and top it with raw salmon, tuna or beetroot chunks. Then you choose a salsa, such as pineapple or mango, and add as many toppings as you want for £8.85. I recommend the pickled ginger. Actually, you really don't need lots of extra toppings as the bowls are big. Good quality ingredients in generous amounts. There is also beer available -Hanalei Island IPA. Kona Longboard lager and Kona Big Wave are also sold and Big Wave is on draught. It's great to sit on the terrace after work with a beer !

I did not know that type of food (Hawaiian) which is mostly influenced by japanese cuisine (raw fish, rice, and spice) with some delicious sweet tasting ingrdients (mangos, pineapples).

Ordered classic ahi bowl and did not pay much attention to the rest. At my desk at work, i noticed the tuna had weird colour. Had few bites and my suspicions were correct - the fish was not fresh. After around half an hour when it warmed up to room temperature it started stinking. Absolutely disgusting. Avoid! Or at least have a close look at the fish before ordering.

Incuriositi dal locale, abbastanza particolare, abbiamo deciso di provare le loro bowl. Veramente buone! Noi abbiamo provato quelle proposte da loro e non siamo rimasti delusi, anzi. Il pesce è fresco il riso molto saporito Poi li si possono comporre come uno meglio crede praticamente in infiniti modi, il prezzo è più basso della media dei ristoranti a carnaby cosa da non sottovalutare. Il locale è pulito e curato e i ragazzi che ci lavorano sono molto simpatici. Andateci!

First time to Isalnd Poke and we were impressed. The Poke bowls were really tastey and the tuna was super fresh and plenty of it. The tuna nachos were also really good. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Great place for a quick bite to eat.

Loved it, i thought it was as good as the Ned and there was a great choice of what to put in it, including brown rice. Also has a great choice of drinks and Hawaiian craft beer
