Food ok but customer sevice is terrible. They rush you along, i asked for no coleslaw with the burger and they got very defensive saying they don't do coleslaw with the burgers which is fair enough, but they could simply say instead of getting angry. Didn't ask if we wanted salt and vinegar on the chips before putting it on, And just a general rude tone. Kebab a bit bland but fine if you're hungry. I'd recommend going to athenas next time if you expect to order in person.

An incredibly satisfying and flavorful platter that's worth every penny!

Huge portion which is great but the taste of the meat has curry taste instead of the proper turkish kebab taste. Also bad point that they don’t separate the french fries from the meat/salad mixture. Still okay to try once.

Visited during a weekend break, ordered mixed grill platter number 1 and the food was good - very asian (Bangladesh) style so if that's your preference you'll like it. Also the portion was the biggest i've seen for a mixed grill!

Food was hot and very tasty big Portions by far the best iv had here in barry Salad was fresh pizza was hot and full of meat kebab was mixed so much I took rest to work.next day and still as good as night b4 thank you

This is has to be one of the best and nicest food places in Barry. The atmosphere is lovely and they have seats for you to sit in and eat your food. The staff are really friendly and very nice. The pizzas, kebabs and burgers I've had from there have been absolutely amazing and miles better than McDonald's and any other food place. 10/10 would recommend.

Awful , dried, rubbery and cold

I’m unhappy that they did not tell me about wing chicken skewer got oven.. it’s fried wings that I taste. I order wings chicken skewer with charcoal. Maybe all of you are new. I was looking for corny man good cook grill wings. I won’t come again.

I have to wait 5 days in order to receive my money back because apparently according to foodhub you don't deliver to my address. If you don't deliver to my address why am I able to place an order. So dumb

Love the food in there the fresh baked naan bread 💯💥

Got a platter for two. Really good grub and cooked fresh. Salad and sauces complimented well. Only criticism is would have liked a little less Donner and more Sheesh but that's just preference tbh. Fairly priced too. Seating could have been better as not really family friendly but we just went back to our hotel and ate.

Can't fault island grill. In my opinion the best kebab in barry. Usually order a mixed grill which is top notch. Tonight ordered a mixed meat on half rice half chips (request in order instructions) with salad and garlic sauce. With some nuggets and fries for the kids. Kebabs are amazing and kids food better than mcd's. Rice is on another level. Staff very friendly too. Highly recommended

20 minutes late - doner kebab meat was sparse and small bits like they used leftovers - dry kebab Meat and cold naans - very disappointing and despite a recommendation will stick to the amazing Flaming Frangos

First time we ordered a takeaway was great and food came fairly quickly. second time tried to order a takeaway got the phone put down so haven't bothered since.

I'm a European truck driver I used to frequent Barry 7 years ago on a regular basis with my last job and tbh the take aways wasn't that good I stumbled on island grill tonight read the reviews and I've got to say without question the mixed grill I've just received is top draw I wouldn't hesitate to order again it was over the phone for delivery the staff was helpful and the delivery driver was very polite and no ridiculous delivery charge myself am greatful for there service Im just a lil gutted I don't get down this way to often these days belly full ready for bed now bravo island grill

Went there tonight with my friends ordered large portions but we were all complaining how small the portions are we paid £10+ for mixed kebab and chips and this is all we’ve got(see photo). the staff just looked at us with blank face. this didn’t even get into our stomach, just back of our throat lol for real, not really good kebab in town.

I ordered a 2 skewer mixed Shish, very little meat, barely enough for half a kebab. Missing a dip also Delivered quickly but dropped in standard. Used to be the best kebabs in Barry, flaming Frangos gives you more for your money. For £15 I expected better

After several bad kebab house experiences in Barry I was told to try Island Grill as it is 'The Best'...They lied!! Terribly dry meat, too much packaging, why a naan bread and not a pitta? That's not a kebab and the meat was cooked to death!! Thankfully I had a pint of water to hand to help me swallow. Terrible!!

Regularly go to island grill for the mixed grill which is top notch. Decided to treat the kids (all from same place makes sense rather than a trip to mcd's) had usual mixed grill, kids pizza meal and chicken nugget meal. Nugget meal comparible if not better than mcd's. Kids demolished it and mixed grill spot on as always. Highly recommended 👌

Have been ordering from Island grill for a few years but unfortunately lately it has gone down hill, the past 3 times we have ordered we have not received all of what we ordered. Always missing the drink chips and naan bread. Will not be going back

Fantastic food. Been going here for years and they’re spot on every time. Highly recommend the mixed shish with rice and their chilli sauce which is made in store. Phenomenal.

Waited 55 minutes for delivery. When it came the chips and onion rings were cold and soggy, pizza was luke warm but nice.

Amazing food don't rate the staff

Tried this take away by chance as there was two other similar shops nearby. I ordered Lamb Donna & chips. The food quality was excellent, lamb was perfect, not dripping in fat it was lovely and tender with a nice salad. The only thing I was disappointed with was the chilli sauce. It tasted like a curry. It had to be a home made sauce made up of a mixture of chilli and curry powder, which did not seem right. Maybe it's a local favourite in the area but it's a no from me. The chips were perfect, but I've never had them with pepper before, I asked for salt. So I didn't enjoy them as much as I should have done.

Amazing food. Always lovely and fresh and the staff are lovely. If a mistake is made they will happily sort it for you. The lamb is just stunning with the pitta, rice and salad. Authentic tasting and cooked to perfection every single time

Well, what can I say... Totally awesome food! The Sea Bass was a total delight. Cooked to perfection, not overcooked at all, subtly spicied, on a bed of fries, with a side salad that was fresh. I will definitely be enjoying food from Island Grill again. Thank you for such a tasty treat.

Shame our order was rushed and wrong. Wrong meat given and no houmous. Was no need to rush our food as we were the only ones in the shop at the time.

Big portions,the chicken meat was very thick, not well done,i didn't like the taste of the chicken kebab. Definitely will not repeat this place.

Great service and you can sit down and eat. Chicken kebab meat in a pitta with all salad and chilli sauce. Outstanding Wife loved her Lamb kebab. Kids loved the pizza and burgers. TOP job guys

Any time I go to Barry, I gotta go to Island Grill. I went yesterday with a couple of friends. I had the Chicken Shish. It was absolutely delicious. It came with lovely fresh salad, fresh Naan bread and the chips were perfect. The place is spotless, food is tremendous and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this place.

I always use hot4u but decided to use island grill for a change.. Ordered a meal for delivery and they phoned me to say driver was outside, answered the door within 3 mins of phonecall to see the driver driving away up the street and when i rang the driver back was told 'I've already left now..' 😂 well I can see that you clown.. Phoned hot4u straight back up where you get much better service

Great for a kebab, not so fond on the steak though which was essentially burnt to a crisp without any indication from me what I wanted it girlled to.

Great service from all the staff and very helpful. Had a big party order had every bag detailing each order. Great tasting food cooked and seasoned to perfection would higly recommend this place. We visited from Birmingham and were staying in Barry area and this place come up and its halal fairly priced good portions of food nice fat fillings in the burgers and wrap great salad portions and great tasting too

Absolutely disgusting. Kebab meat wasn't cooked and the burgers were The worst burger I've ever had. I'm almost garenteed to have food poisoning from this. I'll keep you updated.. The burger buns were soggy. The salad was brown. Sauce was like water. .. Appalling.

ordered 3 kababs and when they arrived 2 of them had chilli sauce so we rang to explain that we ordered 2 of them were garlic sauce and one chilli sauce and that my one had chilli sauce which i couldnt have. the guy on the phone spoke to another than said no it was the other way round and eead it twice which i know he didnt and wouldnt do anything to help. terriable customer service

I go here fairly regularly with family. The cafe section at the back is basic but clean and comfortable. Food is so much better than what the front of the place looks like...rice is delicious..as are the grilled meats. Ask for naan bread not pitta...it's really good. Staff are extremely nice and helpful and always give my son a Lolly which he loves. Would be good to have healthier kids options...like small portions of the grills and juices, as I don't really like giving him take away pizzas.

I have gone into the shop twice now they have had my food completed so quickly.When going into store they are very very friendly and explain their menu. Took there time to explain offers they had I could not fault them one bit. I have eaten the food and I have to say it was amazing they appreciate the way they cook and their customers I highly recommend... amazing thank you..

Stunning food couldn't finish it all. I had kebab rice and chips half and half hubby had pizza excellent food and the staff were amazing couldn't do enough for us to make you welcome. Have only used this place as a takeaway twice but each time have found the quality and quantity very good decided to TrIpAdVisor it. Delivery service also very efficient. The range of the menu is quite extensive and caters for all tastes.Have noted the tip given by 96Paige to avoid weekends. As a restaurant ,we have yet to try it out but no doubt will next time we visit our daughter.Quite honestly can't add anymore only to say I thoroughly recommend it and it's worth giving it a go in my book. Their prices too are very reasonable.

Ordering the meal was clear and effective. It arrived on time as stated by the takeaway. The meal arrived HOT and delicious. The Lamb shish along with the tasty rice, salad and sauces were complimented with the flat bread. The Chicken shish was exactly the same. We all shared the meal and look forward to our next. Well worth the wait and the value for money. This was our first order and it will not be our last.

Food is really nice and great quality, however I would avoid during weekends or busy periods as standards drop. I have found recently when I order on weekends they have kept me waiting for nearly 2 hours and food has turned up cold and soggy numerous times resulting in microwaving the food. I have also found that even though food is really tasty, we end up stuck on the toilet the day after, and people I know who eat from there are exactly the same.

Recommended by friends I went for a mixed grill. Really clean place and food cooked in front of you however, not a great quality and very disappointed. A big meal if you like lots of food.

Haven't got a bad thing to say about this place I really enjoy it every time I eat here. Great variety menu and the option to eat in or take away! If you like grilled food/kebabs and wraps etc this is the take away for you. Prices are reasonable and service is quick while food is fresh and delicious:)

Went there on Sunday night for some food, the service was great and the mixed grill was to die for stunning. Glad Barry has got somewhere nice to go.

Food good although Donna meat is a bit bland for me, delivery is massively slow, that being said arrived piping hot.
