Not been here since pre -covid, what am I thinking about, the Doner Kebab on a freshly cooked naan was absolutely amazing the salad was so fresh and the sauce that was recommended by the owner was delicious this Willie my go to chip shop the only reason why we called was because Hilltop was closed i wont be go back there after this beautiful Kebab. While we were waiting I did also notice how clean all the staff were and so friendly to as of Hilltop your lucky if you even get grunt,So 10 out of 10 for Island Chip Shop we will be back keep up the good work

Ordered a large Donna. It was 30 minutes late it was tiny and clay cold 😔 if that's a large kebab I would hate to see the smaller one ffs

Very nice & tasty food, very friendly staff, portions are a bit small for the prices, you would expect more chips & the large fish is more like a small & the small fish is the size of fish bites..other than that it is worth a visit or take out..

I had a mixed kebab chicken and lamb unfortunately the lamb was so tough I didn't eat it. My hubby had pie peas gravy and chips they were really nice. Only went there because hilltop was shut wont be going back

First time we’ve been to this chippie as we usually go to Hilltop. Decided to give these guys a try and was very pleasantly surprised. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the whole place looked spic and span. The food didn’t disappoint either, we had a pea mix, curry mix and a large cod box with curry. The mixes were huge and great value, we really enjoyed our meals and will definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu (I clocked a naan bread going into the tandoori and it looked amazing!!)

Used to come here every week. Their chips were the best. Not any more. After the last 5 attempts given up. Now go every week to Giltbrook chippy. Consistently good chips and huge fish. Worth travelling from the Brinsley end of Eastwood and passing 4 poor chip shops.

The first time I ordered from here I was delivered sausage instead of fish . Then tonight I asked for some hot chilli sauce with my meal . Wasn’t included plus the chips were cold . Won’t be ordering from here again . Poor

It's a Fishnchip shop what's to say apart It's probably not as good as the Stuarts of Driffield shop that was in Hornsea , E.yorks nearly 30 years ago . Now that was a Chippie to remember .

Phoned our order in for 12 noon. 2 large cod,small chips. It was ready. Got it home,still red hot. The fish was delicious, crispy batter. Small chips?? There was enough for 4. Loved it. Thankyou Island fish bar.

Just had two large lamb shish.....lamb like leather and kebab size small. Lamb had dry chilli on it which wasn't asked for so probably put back from a wrong previous order.?

Very hit and miss here sometimes we'll get chips that are barely cooked and sometimes they'll be absaloutely fine, sometimes the fish cakes tastes like flour i have no idea why but our most recent order didn't unfortunately its not our first go to chippy anymore like it used to be

Ordered from here quite a few times. I once had a stone in one of my chips, the manager phoned me to apologise and gave us discount on the next order. The kebab meat is abit gristly and they've mixed my order a few times e.g. gravy instead of curry sauce. But most of the time it's nice and I understand they get busy and can't get everything right.

I live 3miles away but thought i'd give it a try ,and it was so easy to order online a choice of methods to pay , order over £10 free delivery waited approx 40 mins but when the food arrived it was the best kebab i've ever had (3 meat ) also the fish for my partner was of a high standard .Will deffo recommend to family n friends
