Best chip shop food I’ve had! FRESH AND TASTY! Collection and delivery experience 10/10. Best chippy in the county!

Been a regular customer for a long time but more and more recently the food is clearly reheated from lunch etc, just picked up a fish which is ether burnt or been cooked twice, a pie which was rock hard and clearly over cooked or reheated from another service. Awful considering the price of chip shops these days. Will not go again now.

Still awaiting delivery placed over 2 hours ago. They are not picking up phone. Poor poor service.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. Food took over two hours to be delivered and when it did arrive it was stone cold. Was told I would get a refund and got nothing, will never eat here again. Very disappointed.

Come here a few times the food was nice the chips are big lee sized the only thing the last time I went the food was a bit warm and the kebab wasn’t big only a few strips u won’t get ill or anything it’s up to you if you wanna come this place I would say u should try it the salad is fresh

Kabab chicken was cold and spongy, the pitta bread wasn’t great and we had onion in the salad even though we asked not to have any. Chips were alright I guess. I don’t think we’ll be going back and after reading some reviews I hope we don’t get food poisoning!

Our go to chip shop in Lutterworth. Never had a problem.

Food is always top notch staff always pleasant

The food is unfailingly excellent. However delivery is ALWAYS late, often up to an hour past the expected time. I'd order somewhere else if they weren't the only option in my area, and like I said the food is good.

In relation to the latest review that was posted on google 1 hour ago about having grey peas and grit in their chips, I would just like to add some pictures of the products in question for our ‘actual’ customers to see as the description of the food they received is not the case at all.

Not good, only had chips and peas and couldn't eat either. Had stale taste and smell. Got a large piece of grit in my mouth from eating a chip. Peas were greyish, thought maybe lack of artificial colour which is a good thing but they tasted just as grey. How can something so simple be done so bad?

Ordered food at 8pm and the arrival time said it would be 50 minutes. I called at 9:05pm to find out where it was and was told it was round the corner finally arrived at 9:35pm so had to wait over an hour and half for food. When I came the food was not edible and the £8.60 fish had no fish inside the batter and the little fish it did have was like rubber and could not eat it. This place was really good last year but the last 2 orders have been a mess. It takes far too long and the quality of the food has really dropped. I would like a refund for this food as I tried to call and cancel but got no answer. Defo not worth £26 and I will not be ordering from here again.

Excellent service. Fast and delivery service was 5 star. Driver was really friendly even had a laugh.

always a warm welcome and fresh tasty chips just fine right. the mini fish and chips is always a winner as is the tandoori chicken meat 🍖

Everytime me and my partner have eaten here we haven't been very well and now believe that we may have food poisoning from here, and everytime we have ordered different food We will not be having food from here again

Another superb cod and chips tonight. Well done again. Update on tonight's take out. Visited at 5.30, 2 minutes drive home. Dry nearly cold chips, and the cod was a little dry and the batter was hard. I would rather of emailed my complaint, but could not find one. We were very disappointed with our food tonight, as it was not up to the usual standard. I will mention it on my next vist

AND AGAIN ANOTHER COMPLAINT NO DRINK FOOD FREEZING waited a hour and half for food when finally arrived everything freezing and my order not complete and they shut at 9 so can't complain

Had a kebab from here which must have been warmed up from the night before as it was the driest kebab I have ever had. Very disappointed

Over 2 hours waiting, called twice to see what where food was, to be told on its way, and half an hour later still not arrived. Called back to be told it’s going to be another 15-20 minutes. Almost 3 hours for fish & chips and nuggets & chips! Also get charged £3 delivery. Total order was £17.40. Never again.

I recently left a bad review after I complained central fish bar resolved the problem instantly I do reject my bad feed back I do use central fish bar a lot and this was the only occasion I've had a problem but it wasn't their fault so please ignore my negative review

DO NOT BUY HERE , YOU WILL WAIT FOR EVER FOR FOOD DELIVERY. EXCUSES ARE LACK OF DRIVERS! AFTER AN HOUR AND A HALF OUR FOOD HADN'T EVEN LEFT THE SHOP! HOWEVER THEY STILL TAKE YOUR MONEY, SAYING 45MINS DELIVERY!!

I have tried all the fish & chip shops in lutterworth and the Central is far far the best for its food ( obviously) the staff and the cleanness of the place .. my only criticism is there price's are a little higher than the rest of them .. but the quality stands out ... well done guys keep up the good work 👏

Always great food. Wish they had chilli's for the salad, but menu is otherwise good and offers options for vegetarians. Occasionally when ordering online they've not had something in stock (more so during lockdown). When this happens I've had a phone call to offer an alternative or a discount. I've always gone for the alternative and when I turn up to collect, they've thrown in something extra which is a nice touch.

We were on a camp site in the area, and looking for some fish and chips. This place is great, in terms of choice of food and quality of food. It was busy too, the staff were friendly and helpful. Will be going back next time we are in the area.

Usually get good customer service and good portions here however visited today and was served by a young fella with braces who barely gave a couple of strings of kebab which I ordered some extra kebab and he did again gave me just a few strings when I mentioned that normally the portions are bigger than that when we come he was really rude to me had a really bad attitude I explained that I was just mentioning it and he needs calm down, I assume this is because he is young however I think the owner should know and have a word with the young fella on how to speak to his customers regardless if he’s having a bad day or not it’s not nice to be rude to people, ill be giving the shop one more chance and I don’t want to be served by that boy again. However if this happens again I’ll simply take our business to one of the other 4 kebab shops in Lutterworth. Response - I assume your a new owner since the older gentleman that ran it, you were in the back when I mentioned it to him after you came over I guess his attitude changed since you went in the back since he repeatedly said what do u want me to do its not my problem went red in the face and grabbed my food and then pushed it at me rather than handing it over gently . It was a simple question he really didn’t need to get his nickers in a bunch bless him

In my record of reviews i have to say that this is the best resturant here in lutterworth, good chips and fish , best kebab and just ratios tjs and dominos sadly though theres too many spiceheads outside in lutto

Just started delivering to my area on JustEat and the kebabs and chips were superb. Big portions and very tasty. I would go as far as saying it was one of the best kebabs I've had in a long time. Well done.

I haven't been to this chippy since it was Harry Haddocks, and I have to say what an improvement it is. The other day I got some chips and a battered sausage and the chips were lovely and fluffy, and the batter was crisp! You could tell everything was fresh. I did also order a curry sauce but it was extremely watery which was disappointing but the meal was good none the less.

Have only good things to say about Central Fish Bar. Ever friendly, helpful staff, great chips, crispy batter, tasty chicken, reasonable price, good sized portions, I could go on. On top of that, and this is exciting, gluten free fish and chips available (or sausage, battered pineapple) on Thursday and Saturday, (chips only on Friday). Brilliant!

Great tasting food, lovely service but.... We used to use this chippy on Friday lunch time, most of us had fish and chips. To start with the fish was large and very nice but as each week went by some of our fish pieces were only the size of a mini fish. We mentioned this and they were very apologetic and said they would make sure they were all large, the next time we went they were indeed large again. However, sadly last Friday all of our fish were bearly mini fish size. There is no consistency 😕 Such a shame as this has been the best chippy lutterworth has seen for years!

Went In 15 minutes before he closed and asked if he had any fish he didn’t but no worry’s the legend cooked a fresh fish straight away, rest of the food was awesome. I recommend this place to everyone who loves a good chip shop.
