shocking late by over an hour will not use again said there was a mix up with delivery never used before will never use again

What an absolute joke of a place! The delivery Guy couldnt be arsed to get out his car and bring the food to our flat door when I have a child in bed and can hardly leave him in bed when he is just over 1 years old!!! And I spent iver £37 on an order! Avoid these at all costs !

I tried to but they wanted upfront payment. One, I only wanted to pay by cash and 2, I wanted to check what I ordered was actually what I got before This place wouldn't let me do either! Give this a miss

Our usual was closed, this place used to be ok, not anymore, £10 more expensive than our usual and no taste at all, the sauce was watery and bland . Waste of £40

Ordered on Just Eat; service was excellent with prompt delivery. I had lamb dopiaza. Lamb was good, not chewy or dry. Shame the dopiaza was bland. Peshwari nan was nice but on the dry side. Wife had the korma. Nice creamy flavour. Chicken was also nice and not dry. For a bog standard Friday night curry at a reasonable price overall I’m satisfied.

Bloody awful food. Way too much salt. Avoid this at all costs. Premises now in grassroot. Go elsewhere for better food. They have gone completely downhill. I will never use again

I have had my takeaway from ishmails for some time now, my favourite normally is korma sauce but today I found a new favourite chicken tikka masala I think it was called. I won't go anywhere else. I think they do amazing food iv never had a bad meal. not sure who he is who answers the phone but he's always really polite really nice. It's always on time I can't fault them at all, they're just lovely all of them who work at ishmails. Thankyou for lovely food. from Kim

Worst curry I've ever had! I only write reviews when they're either amazing or absolute crap! Worst £36 we've ever spent! Bland! Chips not cooked, curry has no taste it looks like sock on a plate. Absolutely awful!!!!

I ordered a takeaway which was rejected. They took my money but a week later I’m still waiting for my money back. I have contacted several times but not even been acknowledged. Don’t ever go P

Shockingly bad , very bland and tasteless. the garlic nan was nothing but plain , I’d there was any garlic in it then it was like looking for a needle in a haystack . All the dishes lacked flavour and we certainly won’t be ordering again

Only just opened in our village tried it on Saturday night not disappointed rang up we were asked what time we would like our food it was really good 20 pound for a meal for 2 and if your orders over 20 pound you get 5 pound off such a fantastic deal for the most amazing food honestly was soo good

The lamb Rogan josh was more like a very colourless tomato stew .NO garlic And very tough lamb. Please before you order look elsewhere. I'm not using these any more. Vfm ? No .

This has to be by far the worst Indian takeaway I have ever ordered! Jalfrezi and Bhuna tasted exactly the same...same taste, colour and consistency. Pilau rice was bright yellow throughout and definitely not basmati more like a packet of microwave rice. We so disappointed that it ended up in the bin. On a plus note - delivery was swift and it was cheap but I will not be ordering from them again.

We are regulars to Ishmails ever since he was in Grassmoor and we have always had the best food, good portions, good price and excellent service.

After having a few nice takeaways before i decides that for my birthday treat we would try here again .... what a mistake !! The food was bland and had no taste and the lamb was defiantly beef in my curry .... won't be having food from here again !!

We ordered a chicken chaat, a prawn puri, 1 chicken makhani, 1 chicken tikka Masala, a rice and a nan bread. Tasted nice when eating it. The next morning me and my husband was both not well....so glad my kids didn't eat it! Will not be ordering from here again.

Nos dimos el capricho de la proverbial de sábado por la noche para llevar Ishmails, como un cambio de nuestra elección habitual. Dispuesto a decir, que fue una elección bien hecha.Nuestros go-a India a menudo tomó un poco más de nuestra panza queja hubiera gustado, especialmente un sábado. Por suerte, este orden en unos 40 minutos, como había prometido cuando pedimos por teléfono.También, y lo más importante, la comida no me decepcionó. Un montón de buenas opciones para vegetarianos en particular - verduras makhani, Saab paneer, verduras Ceilán, además de los favoritos de la firma. También estaba bien caliente.Para nosotros, es ahora una igual primera elección y estoy seguro de que intentarán de nuevo pronto.

The best curry house in chesterfield. Never had a bad meal yet. Always ready to collect at the time they give you or will deliver.

Ordered a take away late at night, was delivered well within the specified time, lovely food, curries were spot on, the tandoori mixed grill was amazing. Will use again

Bhuna not like a bhuna very oily but chicken very nice.. garlic naan lacking garlic..garlic rice very nice. Tikka massala not brill but ok

Enjoyed a fab takeaway from here whilst on holiday... much better than my local Indian takeaway! Great service and advice about dishes to try too.

Had a delivered take away this evening the food was lovely, the service was excellent, would definitely use again and would highly reccommend

Probably get a takeaway from here at least once a month. They kindly make me a chilli paneer shashlik which isn't on the menu - and I love it! The veggie biryani isn't that wonderful but that's the only dish I haven't been happy with. You quickly work out which dishes work for you and which don't ... so suggest trying it several times ordering different dishes. I love all the veggie sides especially - sag aloo, sag paneer, bombay potato, tarka dal. My husband likes all the chef special meaty dishes. Looking forward to my next one!

Appalling order. Ordered at 19:40 no sign of anything at 21:20.. Delivery time said 20:30.. Tried to repeatedly ring the takeaway and user busy every time, must have tried 20 times, got bored trying so went down to the takeaway, which luckily isn't too far away. When we got there the shop was dead, no customers around nor phone ringing.. Asked about our order and they weren't very helpful at all, we said we wanted a refund because it was way too late for us to be eating now (21:40) so he rand the driver, asked us how much we payed (£20). Handed us the money back and that was it.. No explanation on why our food was close to being 2 hours late, ridiculous place. Never using them again.

Ordered a takeaway from Ishmails Indian takeaway. It arrived piping hot and in good time. It's great to have a takeaway /restaurant with a 4 rating for health and hygiene that also serves great tasting food. Keep up the good work. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We enjoy the curries from here and the vegetarian sides are just as good.

We frequently order takeaways from here. The food is delicious, delivered promptly and piping hot. If you like Indian food you will love this.

I have never had a bad meal from Ishmails, it is always delivered in the time scale required, it is hot, tasty and is exactly as described in the menu. The staff are polite and friendly, a top take away.

We ordered 5 items from the takeaway menu plus poppadoms, the only part of the meal we enjoyed. The puri was soggy and doughy, shammi kebab an overcooked disc of meat. The tikka tenga sauce was flavoursome but the lamb was so tough and chewy could not eat much. The chicken in the Makhni was cooked but sauce so sweet and eye poppingly pink again a few mouthfuls was enough. The special ghee rice was good but listed on menu with sultanas and almonds and we had not a single sultana. Overall most disappointing and we shall not be ordering again. I was so upset I telephoned to complain and they did offer to replace items but did not want to eat any more from there.

My husband had a special biriani and there was 1 piece of lamb and nothing much else. I had prawn madras, which was very nice. The vegetable sauce was ok. The staff were friendly and polite. If we go next time we won't be having biriani though.

One of the best Indian takeaways we have had in years, good quality, good price,staff very friendly and helpful will be returning again soon.

Friends have said how good this take away is, so we went from our normal West Bars Tandori to here, big mistake.The pickle tray was like a mango juice and I'm no quite sure what the white liquid was supposed to be. My wife's lamb dish was so fatty and chewy it was never going to be finished, my chicken appeared to be added to a sauce as an after thought and the saag panneer was so bland it was tasteless.We normally save some for the following evening but I'm afraid the only place this was going was the dustbin not the fridge!!Not cheap either £18.50 in total.We have tried all the restaurant's in this area and this is the only one we will not consider to return.

Very good quality food with all the usual Indian dishes. One or two specials - Ishmail's Special and the House Special are well worth trying. We've ordered twice and the service and delivery have been very good. If you like Indian food it's well worth a try.

Had some friends round on Friday night and thought we would try the new Indian Takeaway on West Bars as we had received a menu card. As an opening offer we got 20% off our bill which was great. The food is of very good quality and plenty of it. Our friends took home what food was left. You also got free popadoms and pickle tray but not sure if you would get that every time. When we went to collect the food the staff were very friendly. We would certainly use this Indian Takeaway again.I would recommend the Tandoori mixed platter for a starter and all the other dishes we had very good. Well worth the visit!
