Quaint little cafe lovely staff who have cakes, scones & naughty but nice food to tempt you with. Visit the infotainment room which has an interesting insight into "the valley" thousands of years ago. The Church adjacent to the cafe is also worth a visit. Still excellent & a place you must try. Lots of new home made panini to try & new cakes etc. Lovely cafe & lovely staff. Try it & I am sure you will enjoy it & you won't be disappointed. When the weather is nice you can sit outside & enjoy the sunshine & watch the wild birds taking your crumbs away. The only negative is I live 46 miles away in South Shields but I still go regularly as it is a beautiful place to visit. If you want a bit of peace & quiet visit the church & have a sit down inside & enjoy the silence. A lovely place to visit, with miles & miles of walking if you want. Enjoy!

Had two English Breakfast tea, an Earl Grey, and two slices of lemon drizzle. Big tea drinkers, and the English Breakfast (£2.70 each) tasted stale, not nice at all. The lemon drizzle cake (£3.50 each) was okay, but didn't taste of lemon whatsoever - very disappointing. When we go to sit in a cafe and pay a decent amount of money, we dont think it's unreasonable to expect a ceramic mug/cup with a teaspoon, not a paper takeaway cup with a wooden stick. Also, to have a ceramic plate, not a cheap disposable paper plate and wooden fork. Lovely location and had a lovely day at Breamish valley, just a disappointing end in this cafe.

Found this cafe purely by accident but what a gem of a place it was. We had been visiting a different business 3 or 4 miles away and fancied coffee and a bite to eat. This cafe was suggested by the SatNav, there is no way we would have gone in this direction otherwise. So glad we did though. Had a small homemade quiche and my husband a slice of cake both with coffee. Very reasonably priced and both tasted very good. Would we visit again, definitely if we can find it again.

Since having this café recommended by a friend several years ago, it’s become tradition to stop off for coffee and cake following walks in the beautiful Breamish Valley. Having been a long while since our last visit, I’m pleased to say that we found the whole experience up to the same standards as previous. The staff were all very pleasant and welcoming and there was a good selection of sweet treats on offer. We both chose the gingerbread, which was a good choice as it was divine…in fact, I’d go as far as saying it’s the best gingerbread I’ve ever tasted! My hubby had a cappuccino and I had a mocha, which were both perfect in terms of flavour and temperature. Fortunately the weather was kind to us and we were able to sit outside on one of the picnic benches (covered seating also available outside). We were entertained by one of the resident birds and treated it to a couple of crumbs of gingerbread!

This cafe used to be the highlight at the end of a walk in the beautiful Ingram valley. Sadly, after a recent visit, we felt underwhelmed. My wife asked for a cheese scone with a salad but was told that they no longer provide any salad (to cut down on food waste apparently). Surely a salad could be offered as an option, my panini had slices of tomato in it and a bag of salad leaves and cucumber is not a major cost. The coffee (cappuccinos) was poor and barely warm, it has always been very good on previous occasions. The cafe is in a great location but has been a better experience in the past - or maybe we just hit it on a bad day.

After walking the first half of circular hike a cafe break was just what we needed to recover but sadly wasn't the best experience. Being dog friendly was a plus but after that we were left rueing our decision to stop. The menu wasn't extensive. The coffee ordered had no strength to it so no taste. Tea was OK but 2 Cheese scones at £3.50 each was a bit steep. Upon reflection a small tea room in an isolated area is never going to be offering a large varied menu and prices are always going to be inflated.

love the stuff here, hot chocolate is the best, I am however confused by the prices . . . . ie today I went alone and got a cheese toastie and a hot chocolate . . . I was charged £10, yet a couple of days ago I was charged £13.90 for an americano coffee a soup a toastie and a hot chocolate . . .?? In fact all 5 times we as a couple have been in the last month, its always been around £13, so I am bemused at £10 . . unless coffee is a lot cheaper than hot choc 😂😂😂 or is it a single person tax. any ideas welcome . . .is there an online price menu ?
