Lovely friendly staff. Liked the atmosphere and teapots etc. They were really nice. Food was a lot good value for money

We ate at Indico for the first time this evening and were blown away by the amazing food and wonderful service! I have a peanut allergy and this was accommodated for with a full folder of food containing allergens and knowledge from the staff of what was safe to order. Tiya was so friendly and made great recommendations for food and cocktails and made such a positive impact to our visit. The food was the best Indian food I’ve ever had! Thank you so much!

A quick cappuccino and yogurt break at a stylish Indian restaurant was lovely. It was quiet at 2pm Friday October 2024 as I was welcomed inside by a polite helpful waitress. The drinks were full of flavour at very reasonable cost. The place was very clean, very respectable and accommodating. Very clean toilets. I wish i had the time to try the food, (something for another time). The décor is beautiful and interesting with India as its cultural historical influence. Its placement just inside the back end of the mailbox makes it more relaxing with large windows to people-watch or move towards the back for more privacy, your choice. The bar looked well stocked with gin and whiskey varieties on the menus. I'll look forward to revisiting soon. The gentleman was also kind enough to remove the service charge for my quick stay.

I had a really lovely dinner at Indico, the food came so quickly (and was yummy), and the Atithi Devo Bhava cocktail was phenomenal.

Lamb rogan josh was on point here 👌🏻 great service and a lovely vibe in this restaurant. Very reasonably priced for the location also.

The service was great. Tia was very attentive and help. Food was hot and tasty. Definitely recommend a visit. We came from Coventry and definitely worth the trip.

Came here for the first time to try their street food and Chai. I can honestly say that their food and service was second to none. Everything that we ordered was fresh, tasty and served quickly. The waiter also confirmed that the menu is Halal.

Loved the street food dishes. Great quality. Really nice vibe. Good service. We were served by Aathira and she was lovely, warm and welcoming despite a very busy night for the restaurant. Highly recommend.

Went here as a party of 5, with 3 having visual impairments. We were greeted and served by Kamish. He was so friendly and polite. His attitude was so infectious! Definitely a keeper!!! We ordered the breakfast thalis and omg they were so tasty and delicious. We accompanied them with Desi masala chai which was hot and salted lasi. Thank you for the excellent food and customer service. Will definitely return to try out the lunch and evening menu next time we are in Birmingham. The decor was amazing too!

Indico Restaurant serves amazing food with bold flavors and beautiful presentation. The service is friendly and quick, making the whole experience enjoyable. A fantastic place to eat!

The staff is so low class and cheap mentality constantly starring at us and laughing. So awful. We would never prefer this again because of profoundly low minded staff.

Been walking past this place for a month now at lunchtimes. Checked the menu a few times. Lots of interesting option on it . Finally got the chance today to pop in for lunch. Team were very warm and attentive, food turned up in about 10 minutes. Had a deliciousness Grilled Chicken Tikka Wrap and Masala fries. Very tasty! Will be back

4 of us came to dinner at Indico mailbox. We had some starter and main courses. Foods was so delicious . we ate chichen dishes, chichen lollipos, butter chichen , chichen biryani and some naans. all are taste and freshness. Service, atmosphere was good. i will highly recomened to every one .

We did order chef’s special thali and it’s came with so much of disappointment, butter chicken was too much sour it doesn’t have any butter chicken taste init, the girl who take the order i feel like she don’t wanna take the order or ? Idk when i last time came the food was so much good tasty but this time it wasn’t good, even our stomach wasn’t feel good 😕 Hope you guys will make the food in proper way it should be.

Service was good, atmosphere good as it was busy but the food was awful, everything tasted the same. I was expecting lots of flavour and looking forward to eating there but sorry I would not return.

Beautiful food and fantastic, welcoming service. Best dining experience in a while, so much so, we returned the following morning for breakfast, after dinner the previous evening. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Prefer Indico to Tamatanga as we weren't seated too close to other diners and the service and drinks were of higher quality. Try it. We will return, thank you Indico team.

A great place to eat authentic Indian food. Situated in the Mailbox.

The atmosphere in Indico was very lively and warm. When I arrived in Indico with my friend we were greeted with warm welcomes by the staff and were seated immediately. I ordered the Blue city (£10.75) and Full Moon (£10.75) cocktails which were very lovely. I personally preferred the Full Moon more as it had more sweetness and flavour!! The Gappa Bombs (£6.95) are a must try for sure as they burst with flavour in your mouth. Also the samosas (£6.95) were very tasty too and i really recommend since I think it was my favourite dish. Although there were only 2 portions of samosas on the plate, they were very delicious and had chickpeas too on the dish. The Fish Pakora (£7.95) was nice, i was looking forward to that dish the most however it just did not stand out too much for me since I felt like it lacked a bit of flavour. I wish it had more seasonings as it almost was like fried battered fish. However it did come with a sauce which elevated the dish a bit more. For the dessert, I had the Gulab Jamun (£6.45) which was a bit disappointing. I thought that it was not worth the price as it was 2 small portions of “fried dumplings”, and the description felt like it was more hyped up than what it actually was in reality. I recommend the brownie which is the same price if wanting to get desserts. Apart from that our waitress, Tiya, was very lovely and patient with me and my friend the entire evening. She had constantly ensured that everything was all okay and that our drinks and food were all delivered on time and if we had needed anything else. Also she was the star of the night, as she was super friendly and made us feel very welcome and comfortable during our stay! You rock Tiya!! :) Overall, I would strongly recommend visiting Indico as they have a great service and tasty food. Atmosphere: 5/5 Food: 4.5/5 Service 5/5

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. Great service with the team listening to the customer and supporting each at service. Food was excellent, with each of us choosing one of the Thali dishes, everyone enjoyed the broader set of tastes that allowed, for me outstanding were the garlic naan and the lentil Dahl. Both of which I might not have tried if I'd just gone 'starter & main' please. Cocktails were very tasty and well priced compared to other places. We all look forward to a return visit or visiting the other sites. Thanks all.

Food is very delicious with good price. The staff are great and helpful, paying close attention to our needs with swift responses. Even if you are a novice to Indian food like me, they patiently explain every details and help to make wonderful options! Absolutely astounding restaurant. A very warm welcome upon entering, the staff always served with a smile. Then, the "authentic" delicious Indian food was served. Lamb succulent and exploding with delicious spices cooked to perfection, just melting in the mouth. A place in the heart of Birmingham. Go and excite your taste buds, you won't regret it!

I had the chefs special Thali. The food was incredible and the service was excellent. Tiya and kamesh were excellent and ensured we had everything we needed. Highly recommend going for the chefs special Thali over the north Indian Thali. For an extra £2 you get alot more so it is worth it.

Staff are very friendly here, always feel very welcome- thank you to Elli & all the team. The food is amazing- we ordered vada pau, masala chips, pani puri, with kulfi ice cream and Gajar halwa for dessert. We ordered 8 masala chai’s for the 3 of us so definitely recommend this place for chai lovers as well.

I got a paneer in a buttery curry, though it wasn't called "butter paneer" it was very similar to a butter chicken. It was delicious, I enjoyed it very much. The dish does not include the rice and for the price of the rice, the portion seems expensive, though it's enough for one person. The butter naan was also very good. The service was also super friendly and expedite. Would recommend the place for a casual dinner with friends or family, it's really not loud which makes it a perfect spot for gatherings.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner at this restaurant. We were welcomed and taken to our table by the friendly staff. The service was always great! The food was nice some dishes could have been better. The “fusion” burgers were a bit of a miss. My recommendation is to stick to the traditional dishes. In conclusion a decent restaurant.

Sorry but the food was terrible and not fresh but the staff were very friendly and when one of us complained about the tast of one of the dishes they took it of the bill

Had been to indico for third time and we enjoyed the chef special thali recommended by Riya. She helped us navigate the menu by sharing the best choice per our taste buds.kamesh too provided the service and was quick to check on us if things were good Would definitely try the chef special thali again.they have recently started breakfast menu everyday from 9 to 11am

Visited the restaurant for lunch. The service was brilliant by the waiter who served us and we were helped with our selection from the menu with his knowledge. Food tasted great and was piping hot and fresh. The fish pakoras had too much batter. Tea was great too. The ambience of the place really is great and throughout the restaurant as you go round you can see the detail that has been put in. Would highly recommend to come and try the food here.

What a fantastic restaurant. The food was impeccable. I had the butter chicken and my husband had an assortment of chaats. The portions were more than enough and the mango passion sorbet finished it all off beautifully. Their signature cocktails were perfect. The service was also impeccable, and thank you Aathira for looking after us. We will definitely return.

My dearest friend loves her curries. Therefore choosing was a bit of a challenge as it was a belated birthday afternoon out. I checked out trip advisor & went from there . Booked for a late Friday afternoon. The restaurant was fairly busy, lots going on . We were greeted & shown to our table, the staff were super helpful. The manager guided us through the menu. We were not rushed . We both really enjoyed the food, so tasty however the food felt very light , as in not heavy so perfect for an afternoon. 💯 would recommend revisit Would recommend 5 ⭐️ from me Thanks for a great afternoon

We loved the food and the atmosphere so much that we bought the best possible souvenir - this place has published its own luxury book with Indian recipes. Inspiring book with short stories related to the dishes and beautiful illustrations. The venue is really impressive - a mixture of fine cuisine, authentic Indian interior (I would say modern street Indian style) and excellent service. Strongly recommended!

Great spot for an authentic Indian meal. In an extremely busy and noisy area, this restaurant gave me a chance to escape the hustle. Not crowded with noisy revellers. The gin menu added something different to the norm! Food tasted great. Pretty quick also.

A quiet catch up with 5 colleagues was easily managed last minute by the team: service and food were great value! Mixed groups too, including couples, small and large families, but would need to revisit to comment better on the atmosphere. A nice meal, thanks!

Very tasty food and great service

I recently dined at Indico, an Indian restaurant known for its vibrant ambiance and authentic cuisine. Our waitress, Tiya, provided exceptional service throughout the meal, making us feel welcome and well-attended. The starters and mains were delightful. Each dish was bursting with flavour and perfectly cooked, showcasing the rich and diverse tastes of Indian cuisine. From the spicy and succulent tandoori chicken to the aromatic and creamy aloo tiki, every bite was a treat. However, the dessert platter was a disappointment. The ice cream was crystallised, indicating it had been improperly stored, and the gulab jamun had a very plastic taste, clearly suggesting they were from a tin and not freshly made. This letdown marred an otherwise excellent dining experience. Despite the dessert issue, I would still recommend Indico for its outstanding service and delicious main courses. With a little attention to the quality of their desserts, this restaurant could easily become a top choice for Indian food lovers.

So disappointed I ordered two dishes then the waitress asked me if I wanna some crackers. I asked if the crackers are free she said yes, when I get the bill, it is 3pounds for 4 crackers. Also we have one dish included naan, the garlic naan charges 0.5 but didn’t tell me. The curry all tastes similar not recommend.

Visited as a part of the Opal Restaurant Tour. Very cute place, great ambience and situated at a very niche location. Ordered a mocktail- Midnight kulfiwallah which felt refreshing to drink in the summer heat and ordered a portion of Punjabi Fish Pakora which was fried to perfection- crispy on the outside, soft and tender inside. Jay was very helpful and cordial. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

Me and my husband visited Indico in Mailbox for dinner. The ambience was nice and the restaurant is well decorated with a lot of thought taken from its bollywood influence. However the food did not impress. We ordered the chilli chicken and papdi chaat to begin with, which was bland and the papdi chaat lacked any chickpeas/sholay. We had butter chicken and naan for mains. The butter chicken was probably the worst I’ve ever had, it was tomato soup with chicken chunks. Since our visit, I have had a tummy upset and will not be visiting any time soon. As a positive, service was great. No fault here.

Disappointing. Inauthentic indian cuisine. We found the punjabi fish starter dry and highly lacking in flavour, kebabs overcooked and dry and butter chicken tasted like heinz tomato soup. It's so baffling how an indian restaurant in the heart of Birmingham can get the food so so wrong. 2 stars given as the manager was very understanding and accommodating when we sent dishes back to the kitchen. Would NOT recommend.
