Indian Mehfil in Enfield

What a lovely find. Modestly decorated with a lovely authentic atmosphere. The food was superb. Lots of choice and all very reasonably priced from the poppadoms to the dessert. No alcohol served which doesn’t bother us, but apparently you may bring your own.

Ordered first time for lamb biranyi and lamb curry. Biranyi was taste, however the lamb curry was too spicy that we were unable to eat it. There is hot but this was just too hot. We are a family from India who can do spicy but this was far too much chilli for even us.

Thoroughly enjoyable meal. Excellent service. Pakoras were delicious as was chicken dansak and chicken tikka. We will happily re visit this restaurant I

When my old takeaway closed down i had to start all over again and look for a new place for my almost weekly takeaway. I was recommended this place and can honestly say that i am very pleased with the food and portions. The prices are reasonable too and i would definately recommend this restaurant.

The Indian Mehfil is fairly local to us, and opened early enough (1700hrs) for us to have a dinner out with our young son. It also has a bring your own (BYO) to allow you to bring a bottle of a reasonably priced wine (from a nearby Tesco) without the fear of paying high mark-up restaurant prices. We started off with some poppadom with a quality condiments tray. Especially the desiccated coconut. I had ordered a Shatkora duck dish (after being advised against my first choice of duck dish because it its ‘heat’). I was impressed with the Shatkora duck dish, rice and peshwari naan. It wasn’t exceptional by any stretch of the imagination but it ticked the right boxes: taste, presentation and value for money. Unfortunately, the service was slow. The kitchens were busy but as we were the ONLY customers in the restaurant the delay was confusing. It appeared, by the sight of bagged dishes going out that the main focus in in home delivery. Restaurant customers appear to be secondary to this establishment. However…… in the toilet was a rather old and tatty sign (which looked as if it had been there for quite some time) saying “Don’t Use – Sink Blocked”. I used the sink next door in the Ladies loo and it filled up with water, so it was blocked too. On exiting I asked the waiter what the problem was. He advised NOT to use the sinks at all. When I asked him how long this has been going on he looked uncomfortable and said it ‘just happened’. He obviously lied as the old worn sign shows. I find it disgusting that this venue can’t provide facilities for customers (and probably staff) to wash their hands after using the toilet. They didn’t even provide hand sanitiser as an alternative. Even without the blocked sink debacle, the toilet facilities were awful. The general area was unclean with tiles and wall covering in bad disrepair. This restaurant needs to sort out its toilets. It doesn't help with confidence in the hygiene status.

Used this restaurant for a delivery all the time last 2 times took 70 mins to deliver where they quoted 40 mins and half the order missing on one delivery. Last time for me I'm afraid, what a shame

Very reasonable and very high quality with a wide range of dishes and flavours. The lamb balti and vegetable dhansak were particularly delicious. The staff were very friendly!!!

Our go-to Indian restaurant for takeaway. Food is always amazing and very comforting. Delivery is always so fast and price is very reasonable - can't recommend enough!

Very bad customer service , .The person who served me on 3rd June told me he is owner . He is too arrogant and ill mannered for food business. He even threaten me to put reviews when I explained him about his behaviour. First time I came across the owner who don’t respect customer

Nice cozy place, good tasty food and friendly staff, recommended if you are not looking for an alcoholic drink with the meal unless you want to bring your own alcohol

First takeaway from Mehfii and it was amazing .Well priced and delicious . I can recommend the lamb madras very highly

As our local Indian in Enfield had closed during lockdown we choose to get collection from here. Very impressed by the service and the quality and taste of food. we collected again a couple of weeks later and the food quality and taste was again excellent.... this pace may have our customer even when our local indian (rated No 1 in enfield) opens.

Mehfil is a good local Indian with lovely food and friendly staff. You can bring our own wine and beer, so you eat out for the same price as eating at home. A bargain!!

I opted for a birthday treat and had Indian delivered. We try and order dishes we haven't tried before. The citrus curry was delicious. Really enjoyed it. The food was wonderfully hot when delivered and tasted freshly prepared.

Outstanding Indian restaurant, food was excellent, Our second time here and waiter Mitu remembered us. Great food ,plus you can bring your own wine or beer which makes it a very reasonable and enjoyable evening. Will definitely be back here again!!!!!!
