India express in Plymouth

First time ordering here and now it’s my favourite! Lovely flavoured food and delivered hot! Cant wait for my next order

Do not use this place it is a scam...... They are still taking online orders and when you collect.. India express is there... We ordered through deliveroo and cannot get a refund as they have responded by saying our order had been collected scammers.... Scammers Scammers We are going to report this to trading standards to try and save someone else from having to go through this... Scammers

I ordered a tandoori chicken main, 2 poppadoms and 1 boiled rice but only the tandoorii chicken main and the boiled rice shows up!! What’s the problem with this you ask?? I paid for 2 poppadoms as well 🤷‍♀️ Where’s the sorry or even a substitute 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

It says my food is delivered. I ordered from here before. I ordered at 6.45 it's now 8.30 no food. No answer from the phone either. 36 quid and no food

Ordered food from Deliveroo for collection. Restaurant accepted the order and took payment. When we showed up at collection time, the restaurant was shut. We tried calling them but it rang through even though we saw lights on and movement upstairs in the building. Ended up calling Deliveroo who tried to contact the restaurant multiple times but they didn't pick up. Suspiciously, our order was marked as collected while Deliveroo tried to ring them but obviously we had not recieved our order. Deliveroo ended up cancelling the order and refunding us. The restaurant is still showing as open on Deliveroo and JustEat. Do not order from this restaurant as they are scamming people of their money!

Cold all of it freezing. I tried calling over and over. No reply was my go to Indian but this is the second time now. Literally room temp if that. Most expensive microwave meal I've had. Shame really if they answered maybe I wouldn't leave this review

My food was over an hour late, and then when it got here, it was only luke warm. Had no response from the restaurant that it was going to be late or phoned me when I spent over an hour phoning them to try and cancel the order. Will not be using them again.

Placed a order online tonight it took our order and our money waited 2 hours didn’t turn up went to the shop to see what the delay was after not getting though on the phone the shop is closed after saying it’s open and taking our money and order !!

Missed the desert off our order. No answer when calling. After over 10 years of using this take away I think it stops here. Not to mention 10 minutes passed the delivery time window.

It's definitely worth waiting an extra 20 mins for . Full of flavour and everything was pipping hot!

Main dish not good. Curry not much flavour and meat of very poor quality and very tough.

First time customer and when they say Phall is "Very Spicy" they are not joking about! Had a Madras and tried the Phall, both tasted amazing! Had a lovely man in a big van drop of the food on time. 10/10 really awesome!

Food was ordered at least 90 minutes before it was required. However, it turned up over 45 minutes late and was only just warm. When I contacted the takeaway, they really couldn't have cared less. Let's face it, you've already parted with your hard earned cash. Won't be using again.

Set meal for one was very tasty as always and very good value for money.

Order was extremely late, tried contacting the restaurant but there was no response. When the food eventually arrived it was freezing cold to the point it wasn’t eatable so went straight in the bin.

The saag aloo was awful... the rice had no flavour and some of the beef was very tough. Used to be my favourite take away but the last few times it's been disappointing. I will be looking for a new indian takeaway

Customer service is terrible, wish I read the other reviews. Been waiting over an hours after my original delivery time, still haven't received my food. The phone simple doesn't ring for the number they have provided. Simple terrible I hope I will get a full refund am really unhappy with the whole process !!!!

Would not be so annoying but phoned to chase order. Was told it was leaving in 5 minutes. Phoned 30 minutes later was told it left 7 minutes ago!! Only ordered from here as it had quicker delivery. It we ended up with nothing.

Even though delivery was late, I did receive a message from Just Eat apologising that it was delayed. The food however was very tasty and piping hot when it arrived and the driver apologised for the wait.

Terrible service It took 3 hours from time of ordering for the food to arrive. Tried numerous times to call them but phone had been taken off the hook. My daughter drove from Ivybridge to the restaurant to find out where the order was and they inform her that it was at our door which it wasn’t they driver had the wrong house and after all that the food was warm. Awful service won’t be ordering from here again.

Asked for no cashew nuts in my curry. And it had nuts in!!! Luckiky I didn’t eat it else it would of been a big problem.

I used to live ordering from here - but lately the quality of food has dropped and worse still the waiting and delivery times! I’ve tried to stick with it hoping it improved but every order is now extremely late and arrives like warm and the response from the restaurant is appalling. I will not be using again.

This place was recommended but I shall not be using it again. I ordered at 6pm and was happy enough when it said between 8 and 8:30 pm as it was a Saturday but for it to turn up over an hour after this is not acceptable.

Food was okay but over 25 minutes late

The food was nice but the prawn starters description needs updating. It doesn't say that it's in a weird crumb coating all over and is actually just one butterflied prawn. Was expecting dry fried prawns in spices. Was disappointed.

I ordered a biriyani and the rice was great but the "curry" was a little naf, tastes more like gravy unfortunately but other then that the food was alright

Made order on a Tuesday, 2hr wait. Now for the food. The Chicken Pakoras were oily and soggy - cooking oil was clearly not hot enough. Samosas were over-cooked and small. The chips were budget-wholesale specials, refried and cold. The vindaloo (what was left after half the sauce escaped and coated everything else inside the bag) was an insult to a vindaloo - spicy, but with absolutely no taste to speak of with dry, chewy chicken - seemed like a ready meal. The saag aloo was slimy and rank. The Korma was tasteless with only the odd fleeting crunch of coconut, the chicken was also dry and chewy - again, seemed like a ready meal. The peshwari naan was stone-cold and tasted like it had barely been warmed at any point. Perhaps the only thing they got right was the rice. All in all, a dreadful experience. Whoever cooks at this place has either given up trying or has absolutely no idea. Unless your expectations are limited to what's edible, I'd pick another option.

Nice food, but an hour late and zero response from the restaurant.

I placed my order at 17.50, the original delivery was scheduled for 19.10. I telephoned the takeaway 55 TIMES with no response. The food finally arrived at 20.30, this is unacceptable. You sent me a text stating that you would not refund any money as you were busy. The delivery driver told me that 5 orders came in at the same time, that is no excuse for a 2.5+ hours delay. My daughter visited the takeaway to complain at 20.20, and was given a can of coke as an apology! Come on, this is appalling service! Please advise your next response carefully, as I am a long serving customer of 20 years + and have become friendly with the owner Jay. Over to you.

Dude the 'things' you are selling is coloured meat and rice! Not tandoori or biryani. So sad with my selection. No spice, no chilli, no salt!. Kindly change the name, this is not Indian cuisine.
