Sadly food was awful. Took our father in law for his 60th and the food was very poor. Steak pie was like rubber, pizzas smothered in cheese like rubber as cold when served. The sea bass was served with what I can only describe as a potato hockey puck. As a table of ten we had to preorder and they brought the courses out one after the other with no time in between. Luckily it was so bad it was laughable so we had fun. Just was waiting for basil fawlty to walk in.

We had a very enjoyable evening meal in the Link's hotel In2Blu restaurant, this is an attractive venue, well decorated in a modern style. There was a good range of dishes on the menu at reasonable prices. Our meals were well cooked, well presented and were delicious. The staff were excellent - very friendly and efficient. Overall, a very positive experience.

The £6.95 starter soup was tiny, didn’t come with any bread. Carrots was cut in rather large pieces and not peeled. The broccoli came with sea bass were over done and slightly yellowish colour. Best thing was the kids meal came with 3 sausages, with gravy and a free soft ice cream, for under 16, from a little parlour machine to choose your own toppings.

Music a bit too loud for us, after a while it felt too loud for the age of the customers in the restaurant. Staff polite, attentive and helpful, tables reasonably distanced. Food was served hot and was very tasty I can recommend the pork belly. Prices started at about £12 for a main course and seemed reasonable for a restaurant in a hotel of this class.

We booked here because we wanted cocktails. The barmaid gave us a Valentine’s Day menu!!! The barman asked us where we got the menu from? We couldn’t have any cocktails because the cocktail menu was out of date and they were too busy to make any. He said he didn’t normally work in the bar. We wanted cocktails. My sister ordered some drinks and wanted to pay cash. The bill was £11 plus. The barmaid asked could she pay by card as she didn’t have any £10 notes for change. !!! Wtf. Please get some experienced staff that can count and know what they’re doing. The food was average.

We used to be regular and frequent Customers at The Links until it ran into its "management" problems 4-5 years ago - and have only just started returning. The food - as it always was - was of a high standard with good standards of service.......at least at the kitchen and waiter / waitresss level. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the "management" - our bill, when presented, for food was £0.00, for drinks £0.00, total £0.00 and when this was pointed out the "restaurant manager" became involved - and he was surly, dismissive, unapologetic and didn't seem to "want to know". Clearly his younger and more junior staff could teach him a great deal in how to deal with and treat "his" Customers. Clearly Sadly, The Links still has some way to go to fully restore itself to its former glory

We were staying at the hotel here for 2 nights and on the first ate here. Service was good, drinks from the bar were delivered to our table with no delays. Food was pretty much what you'd expect from any hotel eatery, I had the prawn cocktail which was tasty enough and then the rump steak with fries and accompanying side of salad. The steak was OK but I felt was a bit lacking in flavour. Overall we ate here for the convenience of it rather than the value or what was on offer on the menu. The eatery is also a bit lacking in atmosphere, it was fairly busy but we seemed to be surrounded by old people who were there for the golf batting course. Would perhaps give the adjacent sports bar type eatery on the golf course a go next time.

Visited just for a meal (not staying in hotel). On arrival, nobody greeted us, there was only one waitress around who was busy with other customers so we took a seat on sofas, only to be consequently ignored by other passing staff. Even when said waitress had finished with customers there was no "I will be with you in a moment" . In the end I got up and said to her we have booked a table and I could see she was busy so we happened to find two menus which we took to the sofas to read. Eventually someone took our order and shortly after we were shown to our table in a nice dining room. Food was pretty quick to come although other customers were getting bread rolls and the laid tables all had side plates but I had to ask to get any (I was later told it was common practice to only give rolls if you have starters which we weren't) anyway they happily gave us some. Food arrived, both had cod and chips. Was nice but by no means the best or biggest piece of cod I've ever had. Nobody ever came to check if our food was OK which is a big annoyance of mine, and should really happen in this type of a la carte restaurant. Waitress cleared plates but asked if we had all finished after picking up plate!!! Ordering desserts was a bit of an ordeal. Same waitress gave us menus but a long time later a young tall man came over and asked if we were ready to order and said he would get a manager to take our order??! Then a few minutes later, he returned to take it anyway!! After he took order he returned to tell me the desserts would be a few minutes which I thought odd!, not usual practice in a restaurant!! Dessert arrived and I had specifically asked for my brownie to be hot rather than just warm, and you guessed it, it was cold. Managed to grab someones attention to get it changed, then another lady called Sophie came to our table, I believe she was a manager. She was very helpful and friendly and apologised and bought me out a fresh hot one which was lovely. We went and paid Sophie at the bar and explained the problems with the service and hope that she has a word! Food was OK, I would probably return on the hope the service improves.. Maybe the staff we encountered were new?

The food is OK but there were no highlights during our stay. It wasn't the sort of place where you get really excited as to what you may find on the menu. The soup was under-seasoned and the main courses OK. Lamb was a bit leathery and got a bit browned off with mash. No crispy skin on the fish- don't enter 'Masterchef' chef!! The coconut and treacle pudding was like school dinner but worse. It was a cut slab of cake, dense in texture and flavourless. Where did they find such an awful recipe? And why on earth would they serve it? Service was good and the staff very pleasant. Breakfast was interesting. Cold buffet consisted of tinned grapefruit, cereal, tinned prunes, yoghurt and a bowl of chunks of apple. No way was this anything else as I searched for other fruit amongst the apples. English breakfast OK but food piled high and kept hot for a long time at the buffet station.

The venue is an attractive hotel with restaurant. We were not staying at the hotel but just dining in the restaurant. Booking a table was easy and we booked earlier in the day with the hotel reception. When we arrived we were welcomed into the bar area for drinks. This was pleasant and comfortable and we sat on cosy sofas. We were dining as a family which included our 11 and 15 year old daughters. We all ordered the carvery:Sunday Roast. We were served drinks and desert at the table. Our main course was served at the carvery area. Sadly this main were where our expectations were not met. The meat was cut very thinly and although we were able when we requested to have two meats. I had pork and beef. All our meat portions were very small. The parsnips, potatoes and veg was help yourself. Due to the mega meat portion we filled up on this. The veg was very standard and was cooked soft. The gravy wasn't particularly hot.The deserts were better but we felt as a family they weren't worth the money.Unfortunatly I can't rate this experience very highly. Having eating a roast nearby the following Sunday to a much better standard I feel that the meal did not live up to the venue.

My friend had the calves liver and although she complained that the carrots with it were a tad on the elderly side, the rest was delicious. I had the tagliatelle which was AMAZINGLY good (and a huge portion, too). As a vegetarian, I am accustomed to veggie 'mains' being soft pap of the risotto variety but the roasted hazelnuts in the tagliatelle gave a crunch to the dish which was amazing. Whether we were unlucky with our meal I don't know, but what I do know was that it was one of the worst meals we have ever experienced. We called in for Sunday Lunch. Our meal was booked for 2.30pm and we were seated at 3.00pm. The carvery was dreadful, the mashed swede had been sitting there for ages and had formed a skin on the top, the rest of the vegetables were very overcooked. My turkey, if I hadn't been told it was turkey I would have never have guessed. Apart from another family in the restaurant we were the only people in there. No one came to see if we were enjoying our meal until after we had finished. We travelled over 30miles and were looking forward to our meal but sad to say we will not be going there again .

In2Blu seems a silly name and one that doesn't fit the contemporary dining style in this - very smart - hotel setting. However, that doesn't detract from the dining which was marvelous from start to finish. We went over, from Cromer, to look at the restaurant and booked at the time for a Friday evening. As it turned out there was only one other couple dining when we got there and later a group of three and, in the next room, a large family group so space was not an issue. We chose from a set price menu at £20 for three courses. We were able to use our Gourmet card so got a two-for-one deal. The food was delicious and the service excellent.
