We like our afternoon tea and this was done really well in a lovely setting. The sandwiches were enhanced by the addition of small savouries; scotch egg pieces, quiche, sausage roll slices. Everything looked great and tasted it too. The cakes and scones were equally good. Bottomless pots of tea in lovely teapots. We chose juice to accompany our tea but could have had fizz for the same very reasonable price. The surroundings and decor are lovely. The staff very helpful and friendly as well. We will be going again.

Brilliant place for lunch-despite not having full menu for a few weeks Tracey and her lovely staff still provide yummy snacks and cakes and go the extra mile to make you feel welcome-have recommended to many friends and cannot praise enough-thankyou Tracey and staff-will visit often👍🏻

Been here in twice in October with a Colleague and wish it’d reviewed it then as it would be 5/5 as the food it excellent, the decor lovely and we had a great experience. Today however, it was very different. A sign saying “due to unforeseen circumstances the full menu wasn’t available” - which is fair enough. The entrance was roped off with a lovely pink rope, yet the place was 1/2 full with customers. As we hovered waiting to see if there was a table, a very flustered and rude lady barked at us that she was now shut and her staff hadn’t had break since 8.30. I felt very embarrassed like it’d been told off at school. Nobody has spoken to me in hospitality like that for 30 years . I appreciate there was issues and that’s a shame but it happens and we all understand and are sympathetic. We love your cafe, it’s brilliant. However, there is absolutely no justification for being so damn rude to your customers. Stressed or not, today you were unpleasant, unprofessional and out of order. We will be back, but you need to understand the way your behaviour made loyal customers feel.

Called in for the first time for a coffee. Very very impressed with firstly the pleasant staff, also the clean premises. Our coffee was presented in proper cups and although the main menu wasnt on today, we decided to have quiche and pasty. All served with salads. Reasonable prices and will definitely be going back.

Was looking at light bulbs... tall male staff accompanied by a female shopper walked and stood in front of me...no obsveration I was present or just not bothered. NO social distancing observed - I had to stand back. Male staff moved further back ... I moved away... as he assisted customer for a period of time whilst I stood in the wings quite disbelieving.. Made me feel absolute crap. No respect... no manners...100% no social distancing. ITS a NO from me, utterly disappointing. Been shopping there for 20 years. No more... one team member has let the whole branch down. Should abide by Government guidelines and be respectful of customers. BIG THUMBS DOWN

Breakfast, freshly cooked and always good. Locally sourced sausages really are the tastiest I’ve had for a long time.

The new formula bags are the same price as old. But the quality of the bags has dropped at least 50%. The new bags are appalling, cheap and nasty. So sad

Pleasant are to sit & relax while you wait for your order. Lemon Drizzle cake was delicious. Ample parking, great when shopping .

Popped in for a quick lite bite at lunchtime. Settled for bacon, brie and cranberry toasted sandwiches. What a complete delight. Absolute pleasure from start to finish. Staff were lovely, friendly and happy. Food was perfect. Nothing negative to say. Keep up the great standards. Loving the new coffee lounge too.

Esto solía ser una pequeña cafetería que sirve comida deliciosa a un precio razonable. A menudo íbamos a almorzar y tomábamos un desayuno caliente o un pastel. Ahora su pilar principal es la sopa, sándwiches y papas con algunas especialidades. No solo los precios se dispararon, sino que fuimos a almorzar a la 1:30 p.m. y se habían quedado sin sopa y patatas de chaqueta. Salí y fui al Wilton Garden Center en su lugar.

Excellent staff who couldn’t do enough for you,we visited for a coffee but ended up having bacon and cheese quiche,salad potato salad and coleslaw which was excellent. Will certainly return.

My husband and I visited the cafe on Tuesday 6th August, I had bacon and cheese quiche which was lovely, my husband had a jacket potato with chilli con carne that was absolutely gorgeous. Well done to all the staff. Keep up the great food

Solo como decir BIEN HECHO Chicos en Landford Hoy en día, hiciste un muy buen trabajo, ya que estaba absolutamente asociado con la lluvia que goteaba en el restaurante y mantuviste los cubos listos para llover e incluso una piscina se estaba llenando. La comida era excelente y el personal era muy servicial y atento a las personas mojarse. 10/10:) Linda

La cafetería en In - Excess solía ser muy buena, con sabrosas comidas que se sirven casi todo el día. Lamentablemente ahora es terrible. Fuimos a la tienda el domingo 21 de la calle en julio y decidimos almorzar mientras estábamos allí. Cuando entramos nos sorprendió ver el café vacío. Pronto descubrimos por qué. No se sirven comidas calientes después de las 11. A las 30 am ahora, solo había emparedados o baguettes. algunas de las opciones han sido eliminadas (por tippex) del menú. La baguette era horrible. Era una baguette parcialmente cocida que no se había terminado, estaba seca y dura. Otro buen lugar para comer se ha ido por la sartén.

Aparecí en la tarde temprano para comprar un mechón de chaqueta con mayonesa de atún, un mechón de buen tamaño que estaba bien cocido y sabroso. Servido con ensalada de hoja de bebé muy fresca y ensalada de col casera. Muy sabroso.La ventaja es que también venden una variedad de cosas en la tienda contigua y en los patios.

Hard to beat. They have taken over the garden centre along the road. Prices have fallen a lot. Keep up the good work.

We nipped in on the way past to look at the dinosaurs. The food is very well priced and offers you value for money.

In-Excess is a weird place. You can't go there and not find something you want to buy - usually something you'd not even thought about. We went to pick up compost and my husband decided we should get coffee and hot chocolate. I'd never even noticed there was a cafe there before.

Visited here as my husband wanted a full cooked breakfast and we’ve heard good things about the food.

Visited here on a busy Saturday morning. All the tables were taken and we had to wait a short while before one because available. But it was worth the wait.

We each had a jacket potato( usually they’ve sold out)... one chilli one tuna... It arrived quickly and was very tasty..

I love visiting this shop to pick up all those bits and pieces you cannot find anywhere else.

This is the best of the best. A spotless kitchen, on view for all. Tables cleared in an instant and lovely basic food with smiling staff. There is nothing to complain about only words of praise for their excellence. We have never had a bad meal here and return again and again, As I said above it is a treat and an economical treat that we would like not to share but can't deny. Thank you for every lovely jacket spud and well made cup of tea :-) and smiley moment of your service ~ you are a credit x

Popped in for an unexpected snack. Ordered toasties and tea. Well, what can I say? The ladies started the order, worked efficiently and quietly, producing the most scrumptious, good quality, hot toastie and delicious pot of tea, served quickly and everything was clean. Looking forward to visiting again soon. Thank you ladies!

Called into the cafe today - their bacon sandwiches are excellent. Bread very fresh, plenty of very tasty bacon accompanied by garnish and their homemade coleslaw. Had to ask for the recipe of their coleslaw - it's that good. The staff are friendly and efficient and serve great food at very reasonable prices which is why so many people come back here again and again. I hear today that they are planning to build an extension to the cafe this year - can only be a good thing. Oh and did I mention they have a food rating of 5 out of 5?

The service in the cafe was brilliant- friendly and welcoming, just right for 23rd Dec! The staff were doing a great job of serving, cooking & clearing. The cafe itself is small and clean. The bacon sandwiches we ordered were delicious and came with a good sized side salad AND coleslaw.
