The jap chae glass noodles and the beef bulgogi in the sizzling plate were very delicious!! Because it was packed on a weekend, we had to go to the extension room, I just wish it wasn't that cold as it was freezing on that day.

Thank you so much to the customers who visit Imo's restaurant in this cold weather.. Especially, since it is small and there are not many tables, I sincerely apologize to the customers who have to wait outside. . Therefore, since there are not many tables, the staff is trying hard to set up and seat the customers as soon as they finish cleaning up a table.. By the way, I have short hair and have never learned English, so sometimes my English pronunciation is not perfect and it may sound harsh to the customers, but please understand.. I never treated the customers who visited the restaurant rudely because I was mean.. I am sorry if there was a misunderstanding.. I am sorry that I do not speak English well and could not make them understand. Also, since there are many customers, including Hong Kong customers and Chinese customers, sometimes I recommend the menu in Chinese to help the customers who do not know what to eat.. I am so sorry.. I will work harder at Imo's restaurant in the future.

Food is too salty. Feel very thirsty after the meal. Also a female staff spoke to us in Cantonese when we made the order. Just because we look Chinese she assumes we are from HK? So disrespectful

Delicious food and decent prices. The blond lady at the door was RUDE when asked how long the wait would be, but was much nicer when giving us the bill. Would definitely go back- hopefully on a day she isn’t at work!

A friend recommended this Korean restaurant and I finally had time to try it. It was really good. The food tastes very good and although it's ordinary Korean food, it's great value for money. Worth trying again.

Kimchi stew: It's not authentic Korean kimchi stew, but it's still edible. But I don't think I would eat it again. Taste: Not recommended if you are looking for a spicy soup. It's sweet, perhaps because there are a lot of onions or because the kimchi itself is sweet. It smells fishy, ​​probably because of the meat. It's not like killing a pig. Yang: It comes with a side dish for one person as found in Korean baekban restaurants. Quality: The meat is pork, but the quantity is not large and it looks like leftover pork leftover from cutting.

Brilliant, authentic Korean food with generous portions. My sister and I had the seafood pajeon, which was the highlight of the meal, crispy and tender, with a delicious flavour. We also had the kkanpungi chicken, which was spicy and very tasty, a tender beef bulgogi and a delicious Kimchi fried rice, with a perfectly fried egg. The whole bill including alcohol was only £70 and we had food to takeaway, wouldhighlu recommend.

Taken to a room behind the actual restaurant and it was so quiet. The food is excellent.

Although the front may look busy and packed don’t worry there is an even bigger seating area at the back, clean, authentic and cosy. The food portion is great and fits the price. Sea food pancake was massive and the hot stone bibimbap was actually hot making everything crispy on the bottom. The flavours are authentic too and the service is great. One of the few remaining UK K-Town authentic flavour korean restaurants around.

We had a super evening at Imone. Initially surprised that our table wasn’t in the restaurant on the street, and had to duck down the alleyway alongside at the side of the restaurant however this turned out to be really good and made it an even more authentic experience. The service was good and the food was excellent, we enjoyed it all and the Cass beers too. We’ll definitely come back for more soon!

It is the best korean restaurant I have ever tried. Everything there is amazing.

Delicious food at decent prices, banchan comes included (as it should be but lots of other restaurants in London charge for them), but at least on the weekends this is definitely a place where you get in, eat fast, get out. One feels quite rushed to order everything right away rather than being able to relax and enjoy a meal with friends. It would be nice if they expand their space in the future to have a more relaxing dinner experience.

Genuinely, I don’t understand how this place is only 4.5 stars??? Like this is hands down the best Korean restaurant I’ve been to in London and it’s really beaten all the other places i’ve been to by a mile Only downside if that it’s a little small but I feel like that contributes to the vibe of being so cozy and homey. I’ve been here so many times since I moved into New Malden and have tried almost everything on the menu and not one item has been disappointing. My favourite is definitely the saengsomjjim and pajeon. *chefs kiss* best combo. The bossam is also highly recommended. The oyster kimchi with the pork wrapped together… I could eat this all day. Service is amazing. The staff are all attentive and friendly and the owner (with the black hair) is super lovely. My favourite Korean restaurant in New Malden ❤️

I have been to this amazing korean restaurant more times than I can count, my absolute favourite on the new malden high street! lunch menu during the week is an absolute bargain and I adore the stews and the bibimbap! the owner is also so sweet and the banchan goes perfectly with the dishes, 10/10 would recommend!

Consistently yummy every single time. My favourite is no:22 the spicy prawns, so juicy. Wasn’t too keen on the deep fried spicy chicken. But looking forward to my next visit!

This is the best Korean restaurant in London. It's only small, so make sure you book or get there early. The food is incredible and the Kimchi Pancake and the beef bulgogi are great dishes that we always order.

Not good anymore. My experience at Imone this time was shockingly disappointing. A lady with a short haircut was incredibly rude and acted as if we had inconvenienced her greatly. It felt as though we owed her thousands of pounds just for showing up. I really want to tell this lady that we are customers, not beggers. Also There's so many Korean restaurants, which are much better than yours. I will definitely not go back to IMONE!

One of the best Korean food spot in London. We've been to quite a few over the years but the food here was up there with the best. We had the Ssaengsun Jjim Set which included Ssaeungsun Jjim (steamed fish in spicy sauce) + Pa Jeon (spring onion pancake) + Mild soybean Soup + Rice for 2 which was one of the highlights of the meal. The steamed fish was just awesome. We also enjoyed the pancake and had some LA style Galbi which was just amazing. The staff were super attentive and would definitely recommend this spot when you're in New Malden. If you fancy some Korean BBQ, the same brand have just opened one next door.

We are going to Korea for a trip and dropped in at this restaurant to get an early experience of a real Korean meal. The restaurant was comfortable and had a nice mix of diners. We had a set lunch which was good and service was also really good. Definitely recommended

👍<Steamed Fish> - Spicy seasoning in exquisite harmony with fresh pollack + bean sprouts + crown crown = I was able to enjoy the flavor of the steamed fish itself even more. Steamed fish set menu only available during lunch hours on weekdays <crispy grilled green onion pancakes and savory 👍-<soybean paste stew> and 👍-<side dishes> -<kimchi, stewed potatoes, bean sprouts> were all delicious.

Authentic Korean food destination

I tried this spot after recommendation from my partner that it had good recommendation. First glance, it was busy compare to many other Korean restaurants. Also first experience, of walking back into a alleyway which lead us to like a make shift temporary building (also shared with a Church club or something) Anyways aside about that, the food, the korean chicken wings were cripsy nice glaze on top of the skin, flavourful so can't go wrong. Sweet n sour pork also can't go wrong but it was more on the sour side which tends to the case. Cold style Bibimbap perfect for the one day of hot weather in the UK. The beef soup wasn't really packing any home warming flavours, was just spicy and lacking.. based on others must try (which we didn't get). Seafood Pancake and the Ginseng Chicken. Staff were friendly. Price about £55 for two, can't remember if there was service charge or not I'd say its standard nowadays but i was pretty well fed/full afterwards. NO AMEX.

This little Korean place did not disappoint. It was recommended to me by a Korean housemate. Dishes ran about 13.50 for a main meal. The waitress was knowledgeable and had good recommendations. I had the beef bulgogi with rice. My friend had the Don Katsu which she said was amazing. It was enough to fill you, was presented nicely and reasonably priced. I’d recommend this place. It’s tiny and no toilet however.

The food is delicious and so much better than any other Korean food we have tried before. We got lucky to have the mum taking our order and kindly recommending us what to order. Her recommendations were on point. The kimchi pancake and the spicy marinated pork bulgogi have to be some of the best food we had in a while. The service was excellent and you really feel that you’re in a family run business. So rare in London nowadays. Will come back.

THE most authentic Korean restaurant I've been to in London and the UK. Free banchan and purple rice served with my soondubu stew, which came bubbling, spicy and flavourful. All for £12 including service charge. If I lived in this area they would get half of my paycheck! Would love to try the maeuntang next time as they didn't have this today.

We enjoyed a casual dinner for two at Imone. The food was quick and flavoursome with little additions like fresh kimchi and bean sprouts. We ordered a kimchi pancake, beef bulgogi and seafood jigae, all bursting with flavour. A note to the kind waiter who chased after us when I left my water bottle behind. 🤗

After hearing the rumor, I visited my aunt's restaurant yesterday. Well... it's absurd and I don't know why there are cases like this. I don't understand... I placed my order for the table next to me. After a while, I placed my order and the table next to me took their order. Why are we saying we can't do this? Of course, when the ingredients run out, I may not be able to receive your order, so I understand. But 15 minutes later, another hand felt the same way. What is the reason for ordering from a menu and having food come out? Even if you don't have any ingredients, you can prepare them in just 10 minutes. This is something no one can understand. And what kind of war is being fought in the kitchen? I heard everything breaking and felt anxious. I couldn't eat. There were customers and they even started swearing. This is my first time experiencing a restaurant like this. They do things like this in front of customers... I get the feeling that the boss doesn't care how his employees are treated... I think the boss needs to change his mindset. There is a saying about losing a cow and fixing the barn. If you regret losing all your precious employees and customers, I thought it was already too late. Let me say one more thing. People go to my aunt’s restaurant because the food is delicious. No, the staff is more helpful to customers than other restaurants. We serve our customers kindly and always with a smile. I'm going to my aunt's restaurant. Excellent food. I’ve been going to this place for a long time even when it was called a different name. The food is consistently good and also good value for money. All of a sudden I noticed it gets really busy which means on three occasions I went else where (big mistake) or I waited for a while. I think this place is the best for Korean food in new Malden.

We went for dinner and everything we ordered was tasty! I spent a month in South Korea so can confirm that the food is authentic, tasty and the prices are good too. The staff were friendly, the service was good and we had such a great time. At first glance the restaurant looks small, however, there’s a room at the back which can seat around 20 people.

Food was subpar, not as good as a lot of other places I’ve been to. My Korean wife got the Biji Jigae, which wasn’t good. The texture was wrong and didn’t taste good. The Bossam had bits of bone in the belly slices, which wasn’t pleasant, and the condiments weren’t good either. We were also put in the back room which is very stuffy (they cram as many people in there as they can) and it feels like they are focused just about making money and not about the customers. The owner (who also seems to be head chef) is rude! She says service charge is compulsory and makes her staff check with her before they can remove it (guessing she keeps it for herself otherwise why would she be so bothered about it!). She then said I had to pay it and I reminded her we don’t usually pay tip here in the UK and service charge is voluntary. (I usually pay tip but didn’t want to after she was being rude to me). I’d recommend going to Treestone or Mr Kimchee instead as food is much better!

Went for dinner and it was superb! Usually go to Chinatown in central but was feeling more for Korean food. Got the beef bulgogi, spicy shrimp and bibimbab. Food was stunning and walked away with a full belly. Best Korean food I've had in London so far!

Do not come here if you’re a solo diner - travelled a long way after hearing good things and made to wait a long time only to be told they don’t want solo diners. Waitress was friendly about it but that’s never happened to me as a frequent solo diner and so quite shocked and very disappointed. Save your money and head to one of the friendlier restaurants around town.

Everything is too sweet and not authentic Korean taste which was very disappointing. The fish was too sweet even the kimchi, dwenjang soup and Sauce for the fish tastes sweet. Even in the kimchi I could taste sugar! I could not finish my meal. The taste is not traditional but tastes cheap- as if they used the same sauce for tteokkbokki in the fish rather than making it the fish authentic. I could taste they added flour to thicken the sauce for fish. I will not be visiting again.I miss the food of when the previous owner of Hanjibak was in charge.

It’s our second time to Imone and it seems to be popular, and the only place in London serving steamed blood sausage! There is another room now at the back street to sit customers. The food quality is not as good as last time - 떡볶이 was undercooked and 해물전 slightly burned…with the price we expected more in taste but service was good.

Once you eat Korean food here, you won’t be able to eat it anywhere else in London. The chicken ribs and steamed fish were especially delicious, and everyone working there, including the owner, was very friendly!! 😀🌼 I will definitely come again next time

The hype online got something right, the food is pretty good and reasonably sized portions. The server jeevan was very friendly and helpful. What brings the score down is price, on deliveroo everything is around £2 cheaper and is definitely more reasonable, the sit in prices whilst not extreme are definitely high for what you're getting. On another note, there was definitely a vibe there that wasn't super friendly from other staff members, maybe because I'm not a Korean or maybe because I was with someone in a hijab, but vibes were felt. Will definitely order online when it's available.

The best onion and shrimp pancake I have tried in London. With the crispy outside and juicy inside. Must order that. For the Tobokki (rice cake) with instant noddle and the fried chicken leg, they are just soso. Btw we are guided to another building behind the restaurant. Probably it doesn’t have enough space in the restaurant.

This restaurant treats individual customers differently. I came here with friends before and thought the food tasted good, but this time when I went alone, the staff told me that solo customers were not allowed to dine in the restaurant on weekends. I asked for takeout but was rejected. The staff was very nice but could not give a reasonable answer and just kept refusing. I checked Googlemap again and again and there was no indication that single people could not dine in on weekends. I came here specially and wasted a lot of time and energy. It was super disappointing. I don't recommend it.❌

Great food and good value, unfortunate that the Budae-jigae wasn't available. The Bulgolgi-dupbap was very flavourful and a good portion. The Chicken Wings were a great side, not too sweet with the sauce but it also made the exterior a bit crunchy.

The go-to place whenever you crave for Korean home food

Imone was recommended to me as a really high quality Korean restaurant amongst a high street full of the best Korean restaurants. I’m pleased to say that my expectations were certainly met and I can confidently say that this is one to keep your eye on. With an extensive menu you’re really spoilt for choice and you’ll find yourself having more than you can manage. Not that it’s a bad thing but it is a fair warning that the portion sizes are reasonable large. The authenticity matched with fresh ingredients were immaculate to say the least. My only gripe was that the stewed dishes weren’t quite as described. One of them was a seafood stew however, all there was in the bowl were a small handful of prawns and mussels. Additionally, the pork stew had the smallest amount of pork you can imagine which I found to be disappointing. Overall, I really do recommend this restaurant especially their lunch time specials from 12pm - 3pm. They are really generous with the amount of food on offer for these specials and it’s totally worth it.

We came here one Friday night after my son made a reservation. It is only a small place but extremely busy and seemed popular with the locals. We were guided through the menu by the proprietor who made some suggestions. Everything tasted delicious. My favourite dish was the beef Bulgogi absolutely scrumptious. The beer and plum wine went down too.

This is clearly a favourite place amongst Korean folk because it was busy. When we go there, a couple was leaving their table so we assumed that they’d accommodate us there but we were directed to a back room which has extra seating. The room isn’t in the same building as the restaurant but one in another building at the back, accessible by an alley way on the side of the restaurant. The food was decent. We did not expect most of the dishes to have sugar but both the beef bulgogi and the bokum were sweet and savoury. Easy favourite was the pa jeon. Definitely worth a try.

We had a traditional Korean dinner here last night. My husband and I had sweet and sour spicy chicken, spicy squid, and kimchi stone pot fried rice. My son had the seafood fried udon. The restaurant gave us 3 small plates of cold dishes. All the food is yummy fabulous, and the spiciness is moderate allowing you to enjoy the taste. The boss and staffs are very nice, smiling, and greet you thoughtfully. We really loving it and had a great time meal here! 정말 감사합니다 사장님❤️ We will definitely come back and recommend to our friends!

The space was so small that the three of us were seated for two when there was room for four, leaving my friend sitting on the aisle. The food was not authentic at all. It was salty.

Omg my heart was filled with happiness after i left this place, their signature fish dish is out of this world, their prawn tempura is amazing, the chicken udon noodles was full of flavour, i can't wait to come back.

Feels like a local secret. Good simple food done well in v simple setting. We had the spicy fish with rice and seafood panjeon. All cooked to perfection.
