- 191124 My husband went to 36 Street Food in Kingston today on holiday. After eating beef pho, I was so greedy that I called bun thang 😂The appearance is just average But with the weather being so cold, it’s so satisfying to have a bowl of warm beef soup this week when the snow is about to fall㗎 The soup base is relatively light, and you can’t taste the MSG taste. The portion size is not too much ☺️ The most proud thing about Bun thang is that he writes about the ugly smell It does have a slight smell, but that smell is neither grassy nor unpalatable. It is a distinctive feature. I like their pork chops, it would be nice if I could have more of them It looks like rice noodles, but when it comes to eating it, it is thicker than rice noodles and not like rice noodles😊 What about the price? Just tie. £12.9 and £13 The price/performance ratio is not particularly high, though! The decoration environment is good, and the staff's service attitude is very good In terms of food, it’s just enough for girls, but it may not be enough for boys. You may need to add some snacks. But since I had breakfast and the weather was freezing, I think it’s okay. Anyway, it’s warm and cozy. 36 streets food@kingson

Feel like the food is tuned for the locals, I find the food lacks authentic flavor.

I tried giving them my business but they say me down and proceeded to ignore me, a big table came in and they took their order, so I left.

I have been to this restaurant for many times, it's always very busy and need to queue up. I have visited on last Saturday during lunch hour and have to wait as expected. We are 2 adults and 1 child, have waited for at least 20 minutes and finally at the front of the queue. However, the group of 4 behind us have been offered seats first, sitting at a table for 6. I checked inside and think it might be another table available soon, but most of tables are either just seated or still waiting for food. So I went to the cashier and asked why we have been skipped and not offer us that table for 6. The guy at the cashier immediately threw me an aggressive eye contact and said, "They are 4 people, they can seat on the large table, and you are just 3 people can only seat on a small table. This is our responsibility to arrange the best seat for us and YOU HAVE NO CHOICE." His tone was super rude. Customer always has choice; I chose to leave and will not visit again. p.s. After viewed some 1-star comments, the replies from the restaurant were also rude and never consider any problem from their side. Disappointing.

Very interesting Vietnamese restaurant in Kingston. The food is very nice, simple, but very tasty, We ordered 2 different bowls of rice noodles and they were both super tasty. The portions are big and it is a very good value. Really recommend it.

Very good foods. Foods seem authentic. Foods were served very quickly. The only minor minus point was the smell from the kitchen which was a bit much.

Came a few days ago, staff were friendly, a welcoming place and well decorated!! Food was amazing, had Bún Bò Huế, broth was absolutely delectable and really generous with the meats and tofu! Hope more people discover this place :)

Odered a Vietnamese coffee called cafe sua da. Highly recommend!

This is a walk in restaurant. Inside they have an open kitchen with plenty of tables. They also have some tables outside. Limited menu but the food was very tasty. Staff are friendly and efficient. One unisex toilet. It’s a BYO. It was busy at lunchtime on Friday but quietened down around 3pm.

I love this place with all my heart. Have been coming here for a while and the food never disappoints, service is always super friendly and idk theres something about it. Every time i have food and i leave the place im happy afterwards.

Hidden gem is a lovely location and best Vietnamese I ever had. I come here on a regular basis for 3 years now. Always fresh and full of flavor! Nice atmosphere and friendly service. Their delicious broth inspired me to cook my own Vietnamese broth at home. My favourite dishes are fried prawns or squid, Blooming noodle soup and Bun boa xao. Such shame they don't deliver anymore!

Would say this is more like a 4.5/5 place, but cant really do half stars on this. It's a nice little Vietnamese place with a simple but effective interior (love the little paper lanterns) Food was very good- ranged about £12 for Pad Thai and £15-17 for the curry They're not the best when it comes to drinks. I had the lemonade with Vanilla and it was okay, but I've had a lot better in other places My girlfriend had the Salmon and I got to eat the leftovers. Was very tasty salmon would recommend it over my chicken curry.

We went for lunch today. We ordered our own dishes and order a salt and pepper squid to share. Although the food was good, when we paid for the bill, we would like to split the cost of the squid dish adding our own dish, one of the male staff was really really rude. It was not the first time I felt this way but thought he was just not being friendly but this time the way he ordered us to stop discussion and let him calculate for us was unacceptable! His attitude was really rude, no patience at all!

I never try Vietnamese food! Is do delicious! And the wine 🍷! I really enjoy the family ambient and the service do quick!. Definitely I recommend it!

An absolutely fantastic meal. A small tucked away busy restaurant. Two of us turned up and waited about 5 minutes until they found us a table. We ordered a pork and noodle dish and a prawn tamarind dish. Both were amazing. The pork was sweet and tender with tasty noodles and vegetables. As a bonus the dish came with a spring roll, nice. The tamarind prawns were something special. Fresh flavours and wonderful prawns, the highlight was how the flavours grew. There was no real heat initially but after a few mouthfuls there was a delicious heat in the mouth. Massively enjoyable. Drinks were great Saigon beer really nice and lime and mint drink was spot on. Highly recommended.

Great food, well priced and super tasty. No table booking which is great, but can leave you standing if part of a large party. Brilliant and friendly staff.

In search of a quick lunch in Kingston town centre I stumbled across 36 Streets a single brightly decorated room with lantern lights and a wall covered in small pictures. It resembled a Vietnamese bazaar. A dish of Singaporean style noodles with prawns and chicken rather hit the spot. A glass of white wine was a suitable accompaniment. There was no sign of desserts.

I just had dinner here and the food was amazing. Really tasty and good price. Definetely I will come back again 🤗😋

Stopped here to try this place for dinner. The pho broth was good and classic but the basil and bean sprouts were less than I am accustomed to having on the side. The spring rolls were by far the worst I have ever had. They just tasted like a fried lump; no flavor. I was very disappointed as I love a good spring roll. The atmosphere was okay but I’ll go elsewhere.

Terrible service. We came as a group of three with a child, and they told us to sit at a table for two, even though all the large tables were free. It was daytime. It feels like we are not welcome here at all. PS Judging by their response 👇, they also have rude people working in their social media. No one offered us an alternative, even though we directly asked if we could take a larger table.

Great experience, will come again. The menu price doesn’t include 12.5% service charges.

One of the best Vietnamese meals I have ever tasted. Order the tamarind salmon - truly delicious. The spicy chicken wings came coated in a sauce so scrumptious it makes you want to lick the plate clean of every sweet and spicy morsel. Finish with a Vietnamese iced coffee with sweetened condensed milk. Perfection.

They made extraordinary Vietnamese foods, I say the best in England. And We (with a visiting friend from Asia) have travelled for 1.5 hrs from central London with a lot of anticipation and excitement, ended with huge disappointment when we only realised they are closed on Tuesday. We checked on Google map the night before and it says clearly it’s open on Tues. 🤨🤨

Still the best Vietnamese in the area! 36 Streets is our favourite go to place and we now also take guests visiting from overseas to dinner there. The pho broth is incredible - and portions are extremely generous. The crispy spring rolls are also heavenly. There tends to be a queue outside for dinner time but if you arrive before 7 then you should be seated quite quickly.

Introduced to this restaurant by a friend- originally I used to go to Pho across the road or Wagamama but now I have discovered an excellent Vietnamese place. Tucked away in the cosy alleyway leading to the river is this incredible place. Decorated very low-key and minimalist with friendly and efficient staff and service. This place ticks all the boxes for a hidden gem. I had the chicken wings to start- which is a big portion of around 8 big wings- with incredible sticky juicy sauce and toppings- they are incredible!! I also ordered some of their Pho and their portion sizes are very generous and come with added usual sides; their menu is laid out on a small pamphlet style paper with lots of incredibly varied drink options. I had the iced mango matcha drink and it was brilliant. Highly recommend this place- I have gone back a second time within two months and was not disappointed. My only critique is the fact there is one bathroom (a disabled bathroom at the back end of the restaurant that all the guests have to share- meaning there is somewhat of an awkward wait. Staff are friendly and food is brilliant. Worth the price. Much more well priced than Wagamama and Pho across the road- much bigger portion sizes to.

We ordered grilled chicken with noodles which was good but we also ordered chicken pho which had no flavour whatsoever. The 2 other tables around us had the same experience of just boiled noodles and also complained. We were hungry and running late so had to add a lot of soya sauce and fish sauce to make it go down. After complaining 1st time the server said its same as everyday broth so didn't accept our complain. 2nd time when we complaint again as we saw other tables had same issue, the server said sorry chef forgot to put salt in and we'll give you 50% just on the saltless tasteless chicken pho. I was expecting a full refund on the chicken pho than just half. Safe to say I'll be never going there again.

Probably the vietnamise food with the most reasonable price and portion in Kingston. Pho was honestly great.

It’s my favourite restaurant in Kingston by far - I have been going regularly since it opened and it never disappoints. Have brought many friends and all of them have also become regulars. Particularly love the pho xao and the summer rolls - always a 10/10.

This place is a friendly local restaurant serving Vietnamese food. We went there after a long break, and the food was as always super fresh and tasty. And the service was as always quick and polite. Would definitely recommend it.

Beef pho, bun hue, crispy spring rolls, salt and pepper squid w Saigon beer & viet ice coffee with condensed milk 😋 … the total was £56.10. We went on a Friday evening with no booking and got a table within 10 minutes. It was busy & packed but the food came out quickly! The pho was very tasty and warm with loads of meats and veggies… wish there was some extra chilli oil for the pho but maybe I should have asked? The squid was crispy but I didn’t like the spring rolls filling as much as what I’ve had before 😊 overall very nice pho 🍜 perfect for cold weather & ice coffee is always a must! 🧊 ☕️ esp with condensed milk.

A little gem! Lively atmosphere, lovely setting. Great food - squid starter, stir fry noodles, salmon main. The cold summer rolls weren't for me, but the rest was excellent - salmon was especially good.

Cold wet day…. What better than to have a steaming bowl of soupy noodles? This place is near my absolute favourite place for fried food and I passed it many a time and this time .. I went in. Seating was good and service was very quick. Ordered two bowls of soupy noodles…beef pho and the blooming noodle soup. The broth was rich and tasty. I slurped mine up with absolute enjoyment.

One of the more authenticate pho options in London. I haven’t been to Vietnam, but it compares reasonably well with what you can get in California or Washington DC.

Had great experience in the past. However was disappointed last Sunday - little meat and noodles swimming in the soup; duck meat was the worst - not much left after skin and grizzles.

First come, first serve base. They lost our order, and we waited over 20 mins. We asked to double-check our order, and they said the order was lost somehow. The food was good, but the service was very bad.

This has to be one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Decor is beautiful and the staff are very friendly but most importantly, I could not fault the food or the restaurant one bit! So much taste and colour, for someone who eats a lot the portion size was amazing.

Vietnamese food is always one of my favourite cuisine. Love the food and environment. Pho was so tasty 😋 and I ordered some chicken wings to share with my friend. We sat at the high tables with high stool as it was quite pack during lunch hour and the queue was pretty long. We simply didn't wait for a normal table so it's not exactly comfortable. But overall, still a very pleasant lunch exp

We had rice noddles with veg and tofu. It was freshly made - good texture and flavour. The staff are very friendly and decor is vibrant and colourful. The restroom was clean. We enjoyed the experience and will revisit.

The service was slow, the nems were the same quality as in France. The barbecue chicken and rice was dry, they provided chilli sauce from a bottle, which I though was lazy.

My favourite spot for lunch when I come to Kingston - welcoming staff and the food is just wow - full of flavour and you just can’t stop eating. I ordered the grilled pork summer rolls, chicken pho and tofu curry with rice. Amazing value and large portions.

One of my favorite places in all of Kingston. The food is simply amazing, drinks are so good and the staff is very sweet and friendly. Love the calm and chill atmosphere.

We are here on a weekend break and came across this place by accident. The food was great, the staff pleasant and the drink I had was delicious, a cold posh lime lemongrass made by the young man who served us. Pity we live 500 miles away or else it would be my new favourite local.

I have been coming to 36 street foods for 2 years. I remember it was amazing, but it is getting worse and worse in this year. I am not sure is it own by different owner or the chef has been changed. The beef is very chewy, like a gum. I remember it was really tasty, but it is terrible now. And it is not the first time. I really love this restaurant, but it really disappointed me.

Nice and clean atmosphere, Beef pho soup is sooo nice and yummy. Mint lemonade cream soda was very fresh. Spring rolls and summer rolls also recommends as good for sharing starter!!!

An excellent authentic, Vietnamese restaurant with fast service and fresh ingredients

This was absolutely fantastic. I have been in London on holiday all summer eating in restaurants most days and this was the most delicious meal I’ve had all summer. I ordered the fried spring rolls and mango salad and both were delicious. The only thing I would change is for the mango to be cut more finely as the pieces were a little big. I would love to come back and try some of the other dishes.

Close to our flat so we order a takeaway and collect it about 10mins later. It is very popular and has both inside and outside tables. My favourite is prawns with tamarind sauce.

First time visitor, yummy food, we had the GA Nuong la Chanh and the Bun Bo Sa, very flavorful, fresh ingredients and great portions, will be visiting again.

I have walked past this place a load of times. From the outside it doesn’t look like much. Rustic is the best way to describe it. Finally decided to give it a try. Wow. The food was delicious. Staff were very attentive and food delivered really quickly despite it being busy. Oh and the prices are very reasonable. The pho was really tasty and I can’t wait to go back and have it again.

We ordered Different categories of food including Salad, Curry, Pho, Cold Vermicelli. All are very outstanding and Authentic. It is not easy to find the Authentic taste with attractive price here. I would highly recommend to have Beef Pho, Curry and Salt & Pepper Fried Squid. I ordered Vietnam style coffee. This is the authentic setting as shown photo. I would say this is my first time to see this when I go to have Vietnamese restaurants here. It deserves 5 🌟 !

*Update. - I sadly had to change this rating from five stars down to three. We went back for a second visit because we loved our first time, and both ordered pho. It was incredibly disappointing. Little to no flavour off the broth, and the pork in mine was really not appetising at all, it looked like tinned spam. Would still recommend the summer rolls and the curry. Don’t bother with the pho. The food is absolutely delicious in this restaurant. Really well seasoned, attentive staff and lovely interior. Can’t fault it and can’t wait to go back! Summer rolls are a definite must try! The peanut sauce they come with is amazing. They also have the real sriracha ❤️(IYKYK)
