Wow! Wow! Wow! Dined here because it came highly recommended. It most certainly did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, till the moment we left. Just a wonderful evening. The attention we received, was second to none. I even said to a waiter, ‘We’re not mystery shoppers.’ We observed the interaction between other tables, the attention they received was just as good as ours. I cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant and its staff. Just wonderful!

This little restaurant packs a big punch with both flavour and service. I don’t know what they put in their marinade but it is one of my favourites (and I go to quite a few places!) It might get a little loud when there’s a birthday party or two in, but the staff remain attentive to everyone and the atmosphere is pleasant.

Excellent service, very friendly staff from the minute we walked in until we left we was constantly looked after. Can’t wait to try again. Bring your own Alcohol if you want. Food was excellent, plenty of choice and was told if you don’t see a dish you want and if they can make it they will. Very reasonable prices, free parking outside.

I'm lost for words how these guys make such amazing food and such great quality and effort in what they do, me and my mum are always so happy and satisfied when we enter this amazing place. You truly do work miracles - I 100% would recommend experiencing these guys work there magic.

We visit a couple if times a year as were located in Kent. We discovered the restaurant quite by chance on our way back to our hotel one evening. What a fantastic place to dine, beautifully prepared dishes, truly excellent value and friendly staff who bother to take an interest Highly recommend.

Absolutely incredible food, I can't think of a better place to eat out at, you just cannot beat it. The staff and waiters are so friendly and welcoming and if there is any problem or complaint, it is guaranteed that it would be sorted - 10/10 staff, food and service, would certainly recommend this place.

Visited for first time with Family on Saturday night for 11 year old granddaughter's birthday. Staff were brilliant made such a fuss of her and her little sister made birthday really special. Food good, take your own drinks which is always a bonus. The Staff seem to know all ofb their Customers, and the place was full even at 6.30pm. Really great place for Mix Kebabs & Tikka Masala which we found were absolutely delightful. The sauce was just perfect on the Tikka as it wasn't too spicy or too mild. Warm & friendly staff to put the icing on the cake.

Hadn’t ordered from here for a while forgot how good it was chicken tikka jalfrezi rice chips nargis kebab Nan bread couldn’t fault anything delivery on time and so tasty I had to write a review absolutely 5 stars 👍

We have been having a Saturday takeaway from Imanni’s for the last few months having tried a few in our area. This is definitely the best! Beautiful food, easily ordered on line and delivered by a lovely man with full PPE .We will keep ordering 🥰

They have been getting orders wrong lately, either the wrong time (told to reheat it in the microwave) or the wrong order ( took the wrong food back?) this has put me off.

After a disappointment on Saturday evening myself and my wife thoroughly enjoyed our take out tonight from Imanis.The food was immense and we think we've found our new favourite rice - Lemon & Chilly rice.Again, thank you to all of the staff at Imanis

After a recommendation for the restaurant I went. Staff were nice and food tasted good but I had many small sharp fragments of cinnamon stick and had to remove them after biting on most. Shame this spoiled my visit.

Fantastic food, the biryani was light and fluffy and the chicken masala was lovely. Highly recommend.

4 adults and 2 children met for dinner.2 of the party were vegetarian, 1 child has a small appetite and I don’t actually eat curry.We all enjoyed different tasty starters followed by delicious meat and fish curries, salmon tikka was not too spicy and had no sauce ,as requested.Staff were attentive and friendly.We said it’s the best curry we’ve had in a good while.Already planning next visit.

Visited Imanis a week ago on a Saturday night, first time since lockdown lifted. Welcomed into the restaurant and pleased to see that social distancing and increased hygiene measures in place. Me and my wife both had curries with popadoms etc. All up to the usual high standard. Excellent value for money at £23, no need to wait for "eat out to help out". Will be back very soon.

Great place, especially on a Sunday. Banquet night, Sunday-Tuesday which is £10 for starter, main, rice/naan, and poppadum. Great quality and the main man Hussain treated us very well. Thoroughly recommend this place, and hope to see them in the future.Bring your own booze too ;)

Our first time at this restaurant, it was recommended to us by Shaka who used to run the Purple Rooms. We had a wonderful night the staff were amazing, nothing too much trouble and they were fun. The food was fab, poppadoms fresh and crisp and each of our meals were served hot and very tasty. We were so impressed we've already booked for next months birthday meal. We haven’t been here for about 2 years and decided to go again and we are glad we did. The food and service was excellent and we really enjoyed our meal. We will definitely be going again.

We booked a table for 9.30. On arrival the whole restaurant was full and there was at least 20 people crammed into the foyer waiting to be seated. We eventually got seated at ten past 10 and we were seated at a table where spare plates And glasses are kept. After half an hour of waiting around being promised a proper table we ordered a takeaway. We eventually got our takeaway at 11.20. The food was nice and the staff are pleasant but the service and waiting times are absolutely appalling. Something needs to be sorted out. I appreciate it’s busy because it’s new year but I’ve been here before midweek and experienced ridiculously long waiting times. Sort it out Imanis. We were given a complimentary can of Coke for our waiting time but quite frankly it’s not good enough. Sorry Imanis we love you but very disappointed

We visited Imanis restaurant to sample the delights on offer as it had been recommended to us by other friends and we were not disappointed. The staff are very friendly & accommodating and the food was excellent, with a decent menu to choose from and reasonable service although we expereinced slower service the 2nd time we visited the restaurant . All in all it is definitely worth a visit and is reasonably priced curry house, but limited choice of places to drink nearby!

I went with my husband for a Friday night curry, we had a short wait as it was busy, but it is worth the wait.As usual we had a delicious meal, nothing is too much for the guys here, the regular customers are fantastic also.

I have been disappointed with Indian takeaways so for several years I have purchased the M&S Indian ready meals which are very nice I must say.We fancied a change so we gave imanis ago, it came on time and was nice and hot. The meals were authentic and full of flavour. Not the usual 1 sauce suits all what ever you order.

I’m particular about Indian food; it has played an integral part of my social upbringing. Now, approaching the latter stages of my culinary adventures I do expect a lot. I expect it done differently or expect it to be prepare amazingly well. Gone are the days when, as a student, I’d rock up with my mates to a curry house in lady pool road. We’d order pappodoms (a word, much like many dishes on the menu, spelt in a variety of flavours) and feast on a Chicken Tikka Madras, Pilau Rice and a table Nan. Great times that they were.

Visited this restaurant recently with my wife, and I have to say the food and the service was outstanding.

We had a curry here after my niece had passed her driving test, 6 of us. We ordered the special banquet offer that was advertised outside, where you have a starter, main and nan or rice. The food was lovely and the staff make a real effort to make you feel welcome. They added little touches such as writing congrats on the plate of my niece as we mentioned this was the reason for us to be there that night. Zak has a real way with making people feel welcome and is a credit. This is our favourite curry house now and we hope to see you again soon!!

This place is amazing, the food is just so Lovely and so much of it! We nearly all asked for different combinations to the menu and was given delicious dishes. Great value for money but most of all just such a Lovely atmosphere. The staff are just charming and make so much effort to ensure you have a great night. We celebrated my daughters birthday and the staff were fab, even writing happy birthday on the edge of her plate, lovely touch. Can’t say enough to covey how great this place is, highly recommended so just go there and experience this little gem of a restaurant yourself!

Good choice of food and pretty good quality. Always seems to be very busy which gives the place s good atmosphere. Staff are excellent and very friendly. Service can be a little slow as they obviously have a very good take away business and you may need a little patience.

So, after many recommendations about this restaurant, we finally gave it a go. AND we are very happy that we did. I met my Bro and family there as he had suggested it, also having positive recommendations himself. We went for the deal of the day (not sure when this is normally available) which was 5 courses for £9.95!!! Food was delicious, we all had different meals from the menu and we were all happy. I had a Tandoori mixed grill which had it all, and the prawns were just to die for. The Manager's go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and clearly take the time to know all their customers. This visit was a real 'feel good' experience, and I can see why many people return often. Even my very shy daughter was chasing one manager before we left to give him a tip! Very funny and just an amazing place to visit. We will definately be going again. Thankyou.

The staff were very welcoming and took the time to find out about us. Food was delicious! Only negative was the long wait but largely due to some big parties in there but they did offer complimentary drinks to apologise for keeping us waiting.

This restaurant was recommended to me by some locals at the nearby Perry Barr Greyhound Stadium. I’m very pleased that I followed up their recommendation.

Having read a few of the reviews on here we decided to try Imanis on a visit to the area. The staff where so friendly and the food was superb.

We went for a meal tonight that we won in a raffle. What a nice friendly restaurant. Although it was full and very busy the staff were attentive and friendly and the food was excellent. Obviously lots of people have been before so that is always a good sign. We ordered Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala it was excellent, loved the rice which was in a Heart and Star shape. We will be coming back. Thank you for a nice meal.

My wife and I were visiting Sutton Coldfield and used Tripadvisor to find a good restaurant. Imanis was ranked number 2 and was close to our hotel. We called and booked a table for an hour after our call. They were able to accommodate us and we had a great meal. Very good quality food and very helpful staff. We only ordered soft drinks. They didn't serve alcohol but people seemed to bring their own - which is probably a lot cheaper than buying alcoholic drinks in a restaurant.

I’ve been to imarnis lots and the standard of food is amazing best Indian around in my opinion! They give good portions and they don’t rush you , Zak and staff are always happy and will do anything for you , best restaurant in Birmingham if you havnt been your missing out!!!!! See you all soon m

My yardstick for a Punjabi style restaurant has, since the early 1980s, been how good their lamb keema (mincemeat) dish is - so much the better if it is available as a chicken and mince.

We had a great experience here last Friday night. Even if I was being really picky it would be hard to find any fault with our meal. OK, perhaps our table for two could have been bigger but even then we were asked if we would have liked to move to a table for 4. If it had been quiet I would have taken them up on the offer, but as it was quite full I thought it only fair that we didn't prevent a party of three or four getting a table.

I went to this little gem of a restaurant last week with my partner. 1st visit after reading many complimentary reviews. We were not disappointed. We had the warmest welcome and lots of advice to help us decide from the the extensive menu. The prawns massala were a firm favourite for both of us. We also tried out 2 dishes unknown to us and a delicious spinach side. Everything was great. The attention to detail. (one of our plates was not quite right and was changed before even being put on the table.) the service was attentive without being intrusive. They could not do enough to make sure we enjoyed the meal. My partner is now determined to go through the whole menu! So we'll definitely be back.

Looking for a good Indian takeaway. Imanis, reasonable pricing, excellent food, good quantities, plenty of choice. Efficient delivery service top.

Been here multiple times. Every time it's perfect. Staff can't do enough to help and coupled with great food makes it a easy and relaxed place to eat.

We booked our table for 9 and straightaway the atmosphere was buzzing with joy. The food was delicious the service was excellant even though it was really busy. Then at midnight there were fireworks outside. Everyone was having a great time. Thanks guys.

Been here loads of times and i can honestly say I've never had a bad meal. Loads of different dishes with different tastes to satisfy every individual. The staff are very friendly and go out their way to make it even more enjoyable. If this was the only Indian restaurant in the area then I'd be more than happy.

I've eaten here a couple of times, the sauces all seem to be the same, there just seems to be something missing, seems to be very watery in comparison to others, we've got way too many good curry places to waste time eating here

Came here on a Thursday with my mom the place was just starting to get busy.they were having a theme night we had not booked but the waiter got us a table so we were grateful decor is nice tables clean crisp white table cloths on to the food as it was the first time I had visited the restaurant we were asked wether we wanted the 5 course meal deal it’s £10.95 only available on a Tuesday/Wednesday but would gladly do it for us (nice touch) so on to the grub popadoms with a chutney tray nice and fresh lamb samosas and a very good shamee kebab starter both devoured mains were a lamb and mushroom Balti very tasty and a lamb and bhindi Balti madras hot (gorgeous) 2 soft Naan bread all polished off coffee and mint to finish a very nice meal staff polite and attentive take your own booze as well great stuff will be returning soon

Having several poor reviews I can not understand what I the fuss is about. Fresh food with good service is what's has been received at every visit. Fantastic starters with tasty main courses continues to achieve this place been one of my top Indian Restaurant's. In fact I will be dinning there with friends in the next couple of weeks. This is very local to me and for a long time my family and I have visited and I have taken many different friends. Unfortunately, for a while now, I've noticed a lapse in service whether busy or not and it's a bit galling. It's a pity because the staff could not be more pleasant and the food is tasty, spot on flavours but this really needs sorting out.

We went for a family celebration and I must say food and atmosphere was superb. We were made to feel really special and staff were very.

Me and my sister visited here last night for the first time after seeing it rated so well on here. The staff were lovely, very friendly chatty and attentive, the gentleman in charge seated us quickly and offered to store our one bottle of wine which id just brought from the shop in the fridge which i thought was a lovely touch. The food well we had a variation from prawns to chicken to paneer - it all came in a very reasonable time frame we was asked if were ready for our mains which again was nice instead of just getting it when you are given it. All the food came out hot, fresh and absolutely delicious, they even had good desserts too. The restaurant itself was light, airy and spotlessly clean. No alcohol is sold here but you can take your own and they are more than happy to keep it cold for you - lidl was only next door which was nice and handy. All in all we was more than happy and will be returning.

I eat here regularly and im never dissapointed with my meal. They have a great menu and an excellent chef. I have found the food to be excellent when eating in and also when the food is delivered .It is not licensed but you can bring your own alcohol. Its definately one of the best curry houses in the area . Worth a visit

My partner and I visited here yesterday evening based on other reviews. Food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Lots of choice on the menu; some interesting options aswell as the usual traditional choices. Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. We will definitely be returning!

I pre-booked my group of 18 to eat here last week on TA's no 1 rating. I can see why it's no 1.

Me and my wife are big foodies and come here every few weeks. This is hands down the best Indian food we have ever had, it is in a completely different league to anywhere else, and is made with love and care but an older chef with years and years of experience in the business.

We visit Imanis for the banquet deal. The service is brilliant and so is the food. As always the staff are brilliant and take care of our every need.

My sister invited us here for her birthday. I won't say which one as she doesn't want people to know she's 60. Staff were very welcoming and good humoured. The food was pretty good, tasty, plentiful and not expensive. The place was clean and It's bring your own drinks. Wouldn't turn down another visit.

Love Balti curries so wanted to take loads back to London. Spoke to Hussain, who said that he would especially cook my order the night before & collect from he's home, as this was more convenient as I was coming from Derby at about mid-day! Lovely curry. Onion bhaji and tandoori chicken for starters. Bhaji one of the best I've tasted. Mains Balti chicken and chicken jalfrezi. Again jalfrezi probably the best I've tasted in 30 years. No frills restaurant but food exceptional. 500 % better and 25% cheaper than the so called no.1 curry house in sutton. No comparison. Thankyou Imani for a great meal. Highly recommended.

Only the second time visited here but would recommend. Waiter remembered us from our last visit months ago! Always friendly and helpful staff. The food is great too! Both time we went for Birthdays and they make a special effort with writing Happy Birthday in the Birthday persons plate, nice little touch. This time we even got Sparkler and song :)

We visit Imanis on a regular basis with friends. The service is brilliant and so is the food. Please give it a try and it could be the best decision you have made in some time.

After hearing about this restaurant from a a few people I thought I would try it, don't normally do reviews but this has quickly become my favourite! My favourite meal is gurka Masala with egg fried nan and cheese nan - they don't call me big k for no reason!!! Mmm simply exquisite! Not overly pretentious but big on taste, you won't be disappointed if your seeking pure satisfaction it's worth the try trust me! Hands off to the chef and the friendly team, Big K

My husband and i went with two friends on Tuesday - not realising it was a banquet night. The main difference for us was that we chose whatever we fancied as usual and received delicious, really tasty food - popadums, starter, main, dessert and coffee - and couldn't believe it all averaged out at £15 each! This is astonishing!

We live round the corner from this restaurant and can’t believe we’ve never been before. We enjoyed everything about our night. The food was fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. The best thing of all was the fabulous welcome and service given by the two brothers who looked after us. Nothing was too much trouble, we were given helpful advice on menu choices and welcomed into the restaurant like old friends. What a great experience, we’ll definitely be back!

This restaurant is a real find. The menu is varied and modern. The staff are hard working and very polite. They can adapt the meal to suit your heat level. Take away is as good as the restaurant.
