We ordered a chickpea curry with rice and 12 meatballs with fries, peas and gravy plus an apple pie and a gooey chocolate cake with a cup of refillable coffee and a lemonade and it was just over £16 - bargain! Service was quick and the food was tasty.

It was ok ,cheap has chips Mast produced Not hot infact on the border of cold to very luke warm . Shame because it was a nice meal . Restaurant staff was very good .

Difficulty finding a clean table to dine at as there appeared to be no where clear to sit at. Most tables were cluttered with someone else’s dirty pots and those tables which were clear of pots were sticky with crumbs and spillages and needed a good wipe down. We had to ask for our table to be wiped - which she eventually did , however she totally ignored all the other tables which needed attention.

The single, biggest problem is lack of staff My family and I visited on a Saturday afternoon. Very busy. Just one person serving and doing so ridiculously slowly. It took ages to get served. Also could not undertand woman serving as she had a tiny voice, with a heavy foreign accent. It took so long to get served that our food was cold. We will not be visiting again. We would most certainly not recommend to other families.

Me and my partner and our grandson went shopping for bedroom furniture so we decided to have breakfast we had to queue for quite some time because there was only one person serving and when we were standing in line we saw a member of staff preparing food without any gloves on picking up food and placing it on a tray I think it was a desert when we finally got served the food was unedable it must have been there a while it was rock hard and we left 90% of it not a good experience at all . We won’t be eating there ever again

On a recent trip to look for a new desk after a good look around we went for a coffee. Great drinks and sat in the window in the sun amazing value. The breakfasts looked good!

After a busy shop, we decided to try the hotdogs at the bistro, well what an experience that turned out to be, we stood for 25 mins in the queue that wasn’t really very long because staff were that slow and uninterested in their job, there wasn’t any “sorry for the wait” or nothing. There was also an older female who was emptying the bins who was very rude to customers. I expected more from ikea!

Incompetent supervision. What kind of restaurant or cafe and this is a low quality cafe advertises it's open until 8.30 pm but puts chairs on over half the tables at 6pm then serves food without making sure there are actually knives and forks available to eat it with and what few there were not being enough for our table were stained due to poor quality cleaning. Hostels for the homeless and refugees do better than this.

Tasteless and salty. No of us could finish our breakfast. Mushrooms undercooked soaked in water, sausages cheapest fatty and no flavour. All bad.

What on earth is going on with the IKEA restaurant in Sheffield? I know one doesn't expect gourmet food when ordering meatballs and chips with berries, but come on. Let me list the issues. Firstly, the meatballs have changed and have a nasty, wet texture and do not taste nice. Second, the "fresh garden peas" were almost grey from being kept warm for....I wouldn't like to guess how long. Third, the entire dish was swamped in a concealing mass of IKEA meatball sauce. I mean everything: the meatballs, the chips, the lingonberries, the peas. The meal looked like a tragedy in browns. Finally, it was lukewarm, apart from the chips which were cold. Revolting. My wife asked for the salmon which was supposed to come with mixed steam vegetables. The serving person started ladling a huge pile of aforementioned peas onto the plate. When my wife asked about the steamed mixed vegetables, they said they were finished. They then removed the peas and started piling rostis onto her plate. So instead of a relatively healthy option, my wife had a meal as tragic as my own. This is a staff issue, I'm sure. Like I say, one doesn't expect gourmet but IKEA, you can at least train your staff to treat the food - and your customers - with a little respect. I should add that the Sheffield store seems to have a particular problem in this regard. We've never had a meal as bad as this in, say, the Nottingham store. So hej, IKEA, it was not hygge.

I ordered the salmon dish yesterday. Advertised at £5.95 for salmon, peas and something else (nice but can’t remember name). Was asked if I wanted loganberry sauce, to which I said yes please. Then told no peas, I asked if I could have a few chips instead but no, I asked if there was a reduction, no. It was still £5.95 and seemed just bad luck there were no peas! Seems petty to make a fuss but surely it’s not right to offer a substitute? I asked to speak to the manager, they did not come out but sent a message to say my cake could be free so that was good. I only was asking for 45p reduction or small handful of chips, I really shouldn’t have had to add to the queues ! Seems crazy they are allowed to charge full price for a dish and only provide part of it. Seems crazy I had to complain.

Had lunch today, but a very reduced menu, not much choice and the ice cream machine downstairs wasn’t working either. Hope this improves.

i am a support worker how went to IKEA for some lunch with my service user how is in a wheelchair, i couldn't leave him to collect our meals so i asked a member of staff help help me with this i got the kindest man who literally went above and beyond to do so, the meal was lovely and i will definitely be going back again iv try to get in touch with IKEA to tell them but had no luck

Disappointing choice for Coeliacs! The staff couldn’t say which ( if at all) food was gluten free, I was directed to a touch screen to find out, but it wasn’t working, so all I could have was a coffee. Please instruct the restaurant staff so they can advise customers which foods are gluten free. Love the Store and everything in it, just the restaurant was a disappointment.

Cheap and cheerful food. Does the job and is genuinely really really inexpensive!! So for what it is, it’s very good. Obviously this is not ‘restaurant quality’ food, but I’m reviewing it for what it is.

Best value tea and cake I think I’ve had, ever. For £1.95 got a warm cinnamon bun, slice of Swedish apple cake and 3 cups of tea (tea was free using Ikea Family card). The experience was great even with what is happening with Covid. Booked the table upon arriving at Ikea, then was seated straight away when we went at our pre booked time, then served with no queue. The food was brought over perhaps around a minute after ordering and we was wished to enjoy it, a lot better service than lots of ‘high end’ coffee places at a fraction of the price. The cinnamon bun was warm and the correct size piece of cake for the price, and PG Tips tea was used which is a bonus as lots of places seem to use either too strong or weak teas. Service was much better than lots of other places, and all round an enjoyable experience.

First visit since Covid and actually feel the cafe has benefited from the changes. You have to reserve a table upon entry to Ikea. Once your time slot arrives, you are taken to your table and then one from your party can go to the counter to place the order. After that it is then table service. One of the most annoying things previously about the Ikea cafe is the long queues to get served so this was a nice change to just relax whilst somebody waits on you. All staff we encountered were lovely and friendly. Meatballs were to the usual standard. Taste good and for the price you pay, you can't really complain! I hope they keep some of these systems in place once we are through the other side of covid (if we ever get there!)
