Busy, packed, spent too much money but you cannot help but love IKEA. Yes, I did buy a candle or two plus food bags 😁.

Very popular. Could not wait , 100 people in the queue. But for good reason, still good food and service.

Walking through IKEA, without spending a fortune, of course, is therapeutic. Their hot dogs are lovely!

I love Ikea. All the ideas in there about how to create nice spaces in your home are brilliant.

This place is my second home. I'm ready to just move in and live there.

Too difficult to skip area's, signage misleading. But good choice and displays

If you want to visit give Sunday a miss if possible try midweek when the kids are at school as it gets packed --yes there are nice items and well displayed in scenarios each room bathrooms bedros kitchens etc the place is wheelchair friendly- it is a massive building and takes some walking it features a cafeteria-yes some walking to be done but plenty to buy that odd small item as well as a large items there's a large car ark with disability parking and .easy. access of the M6 but as I say it gets dizzy on Sundays and you could be queueing to sin entry to the retail park 👍

Was okey, not much of a choice in any of the curtains, baby staff.

Exceptional just to go for lunch with their Swedish range of salmon and prawn salad options. Of its type possibly the best Swedish restaurant in the West Midlands but probably the only one too. Also some very clever ideas for the home.

People but their car in disabled bay they are not disabled they don't have bluebadges, shame on them.

Before I say anything, this is a great place to shop. BUT, as you transition from showroom to the shop area theirs touchscreens so you can order your flat pack items, But if you have a problem using the screen's people behind you get frustrated, so I left the store without purchasing bar stools. Please Please Please IKEA if you are reading this review, please have this area manned with a member of staff as there a great staff around the store to help.

Absolute joke of a company. This is the 3rd time I have placed an order with them and the 3rd time they have messed it up. Don't allow your system to arrange a delivery if you aren't going to stick to it. The communication is terrible, no notification to say the delivery wasn't coming even after I had spoken to three colleagues to ask where my delivery was. I paid for express delivery which has not been honored. The staff on the phone were useless and Ikea have made it impossible to make a complaint. Even the ombudsman they recommend doesn't help as it asks for the complaint in writing which I can't do due to them not having an email address or live chat function with an agent rather than a bot so a complaint is impossible. I am not happy in the slightest. This is a repetitive mistake so not an isolated incident. They don't think people have to wait in for these deliveries or take time out of work. Will never order from them again.

Hate going here always spend a fortune even when just browsing!stylish and well made products at sensible prices. Always go for a snack in cafe as well

I had a problem with a poang footstool on two occasions recently, they did not hesitate to replace the base twice. I have to say the customer service helpline which is at Peterborough offers a service which is 2nd to none. I was in retail management most of my life so I do have some experience. Thank you, IKEA for making this a very pleasant experience in these very difficult times. I cannot emphasise how important is to be reassured that when one does purchase a product we will receive a good response from customer service if we have a problem, unfortunately, my experience in England at this particular moment in time leaves much to be desired with most companies. IKEA set an example for all companies to follow.

Girl at the check out helped me out and sent me in the right direction after making a phone call.

So much here to make your home nice and quite good prices too but I tell u what it takes nearly 1 and a half hours approx to walk all through the two-storey levels... Bring plenty of cash/card as u can quite easily buy a lot of things whilst here.

Update: as regular customers of this particular location, we notice changes when they occur. Recently it seems that meatballs’ recipe has changed significantly. While it used to be the highlight of the visit with its hearty bites and meaty texture, now it’s more like a small Spam Ball with very watery gravy. Salmon was as good as always though. Cinnamon buns are still a must, and we had the luck to try their new-ish product Tiramisu, which is really nice. Cappuccino sadly had a burnt taste. Overall still a good visit, but need to bring back high quality food. ———- original review below ————- We love IKEA but this one was undersized in terms of parking space, and restaurant staff vs capacity. Maintenance seems to be an ongoing issue too. Multiple coffee machines are Out of Service continuously at the restaurant, and Bistro equipment need attention too. Luckily products save the day!

Bright and easy to navigate around, no hassle shopping a pleasure 👍

Needs to be better laid out . We visited to buy a rug , hadn't been for 4 years , it's like a maze to navigate round , eventually found the rugs then a trolley, needed to ask the way out , got to the elevator but trolley not allowed , so I carried the large rolled up rug on my shoulder ( I am 69 ) after another 15 minutes and nearly knocking out a few people we made it to the check out . The products are really good but it's a nightmare to navigate.

Very very busy, car park full (cars following people to get a space). Unfortunately ruins the experience if the place is absolutely rammed

So many floors, so many options. Lift for disabled and pushchairs. You will end up all day there lol

IKEA is a strange place,you walk in there and immediately want to sit down or sleep in one of the show rooms,a real beauty place....I just love how clean it is constantly and the way the staff are always ready to help but always leave you alone until they are needed-refreshing.

Awful. Paid for express didn't get put in a room of my choice and won't refund any of the moneym tried to make complaint kept saying feedback. Lazy staff won't be using again

We purchased a kitchen over 3K, some of the items we were expecting and also we purchasing more items, as normal practice you cannot always buy correct items for a big project like a kitchen. I always keep invoices and use a family card, but my husband not that organised, I went to return some items for the credit as was purchasing more items, only one kitchen door was fully packed but no receipt, I explained the situation and asked for the credit on a gift card and was told NO by SALLY manager on return/ exchange department. The item was packed in IKEA packaging and never was opened, the purchased door was wrong size. The door is £74, not cheap product. For SALLY it would be nothing to give me a credit to a gift card, but SALLY as a manager is a very bad representative of IKEA brand! She represents the attitude “ I DO NOT CARE” If IKEA would like to have this kind of reputation, they would keep SALLY as a manager.

An absolute maze of inspiration. Whether you want to design your home or have a walk without getting wet. It's worth a visit. First visit the cafe because you're going to need a drink and some fuel for your body, however, it's cheap so you don't mind. You can get some amazing items for cheap then only to get home to have the frustration of putting the furniture together

Chloe was amazing today! My mum couldn’t find what she was looking for, she spoke to a few different colleagues but no one helped her. Chloe went above and beyond. Super friendly and a real asset to the Ikea team thank you!

As a big fan of IKEA, after we lost the Coventry store, this and Nottingham became our next closest (we live in Leicester) of which the Birmingham store is now our favourite, there is loads of parking and the late evening are lovely and clear to roam and shop without a heavy crowd to deal with.

Lots of items I needed were out of stock, however staff were friendly and helpful

Ordered and paid for a small kitchen plus fitting in Sept 2024. Still waiting for it to be completed. Staff hang up on you when you politely chase it up, send an email with no information, then you have to rejoin a queue for up to an hour to get through again.

We love IKEA. We did a click and collect and then a quick tour of the store. The only complaint would be that we wanted to return something but when we saw the queue we decided it wasn't worth it!!

Great ideas for the home. My only gripe is how slow the checkouts are. It's nice that the staff are friendly and chatty but it would be nice if those on checkout were aware of the queues building up while they are chatting to the customers.

Just annoying walking round to get to one place

IKEA Birmingham is very good for anyone who wants to buy anything that is related to household items. Or even gardening items probably and other things and I think lots of people go to shop there for various items and they do like it and find it’s good quality. Although It might not be the best quality it’s still good quality for everyone who likes shopping at IKEA Birmingham and people should visit this store.

Well organised, plenty of parking, easy to get to. I used to go to Bristol IKEA,but numerous and constant issues with M5 made me consider other options. Getting there was super easy, there was plenty of parking and, if you didn't manage to find things in IKEA, there are other shops on the same trading estate. We had a breakfast and then lunch after we finished shopping. Brilliant value! Shopping in IKEA is always a pleasure - well stocked, everything labelled and accessible.

Anaemic meatballs, watery gravy and miserable staff. Only two serving food at a busy time and only one on the tills, hence stone cold by the time we sat down. Furniture is great through 👍

Ordered online in novemeber and delivery came on 7 January at 22.40. Been told numerous of made up events by Ikea customer service on why there was a delay in delivery

Ikea is great. I do enjoy looking at the variety of different items they have in this store, the layouts, the setups, and even the way you move through the store section to section. It's always an experience there, and every time is different. Then after all that walking there is hot drinks and food for you at the end of your shop. You really can't complain at ikea. Only thing i would say is that sometimes it can get a little busy in the queuing area. Apart from that it's all good.

Not as big or spacious as some other Ikea showrooms, but the cafe is big with lots of seating. Staff are friendly.

Great display Wonderful choices

Went to buy a product, it was showing in stock, but surprise: there was nothing in there. Drive 1 hour for that thing. I left with some frozen food, so i wont be empty handed. Edit after 1 year. Came again for that thing, showing 27 items in stock. Surprise, they had none in the store. Fookin hell.

Great for a wander around, the cafe wasn't the best as had to order from a screen and then wait, only a few screens to use and alot of people waiting. Store staff were friendly and helpful, shame some of the customers didn't have the same attitude. Found what we went in for easily enough, straight through the tills without queues.

Love this shop, it's like a day out with snacks at the end. Always find something to buy.

Well it's IKEA, it's what you expect... Was a tad on the busy side, and I still always think the restaurant needs to just sell the hotdogs like at the exit 😂😂 Got what we needed, and then had to assemble. Good value flat pack furniture

Nice IKEA with all the usual IKEA refinements. Definitely recommend. Bad thing is the traffic in this area. The council need to address this. Why is it so busy? Lots of shops but congestion is bad.

Straight in got what we wanted with ease home perfect visit ..

UK type Swedish feel, Great escape location and access, on shopping park, simple cafe food, drinks. So much on offer, when busy, feels like an escape room. Know the quick exits, lots for everyone. Hard to to walk away with something. Plus point. Other shate of shops on estate, And orange chips from caroles chip shop black country treat close by.

Elisha provided excellent service at IKEA, showing great patience with my mum, who isn’t fluent in English and asks a lot of questions. She helped her organize and finalize her wardrobe with a smile, offering outstanding assistance. We’re impressed by the service and will definitely shop here again.

Came up to Wednesbury IKEA to get a headboard and wardrobe. The headboard had to be ordered through a member of staff. We told her we needed the double one, went to collect from the collection point other side of checkout, the member of staff was very rude. Got it home and realised the price difference so spoke to Janet on the live chat to be told it’s actually a king size headboard and that unfortunately there is nothing they can do. Absolutely appalling attitude and told that she wouldn’t help or discuss any further and we would have to take our issue into the store to be dealt with. Said we made the error when actually it’s the member of staff Lauren’s fault for processing the wrong size. Not very happy with the whole situation. *Make sure as a customer you double check the staff have ordered the correct item you actually want.*

Good range of concepts at reasonable cost. Large car park. 6 years later we visited again. Purchased small items including washable plastic bags (some of the old ones are still in use, but time to refresh!).

Failed to deliver furniture on a day that was specifically paid for so now we're having a Christmas without any furniture thanks to there being no delivery slots available until 29th!

Although they didn't have the single bed l had picked they did have an alternative. That one is fine and was easy to assemble.

Lifts did not work over crowded.wait to pay 30min what a joke.

Still here now. Started playing hide and seek 3 years ago and still winning- this must be a record. I've celebrated my 19,20th and 22nd birthday in here, they'll never find me.

Don't come here often but yeah it's like any other ikea I guess. Stocks are always available, managed to pick up what I came for.

Had a nice shopping experience today. I did t get what I wanted as they were out of stock until the 23rd but the staff very helpful as usual. And, it was nice and quiet this morning too which was even better. Exchanged some goods which was a very simple process with absolutely no hassle. And who can resist not having a coffee and some cinnamon twirls before you set off back home 👍😃

Spoke to a lovely chap calledJacob. He was helpful both today and last week when I was shopping for a swivel chair for my seven year old granddaughter. He was able to tell me what chairs were in stock and what colours and printed out form so we could easily access where to pick it up in downstairs warehouse. I purchased an office chair last week and again he was very helpful - unlike three people we asked for help and neither one of them could be bothered to show us where chairs were located. Too busy chatting! Anyways thanks again to Jacob,so pleasant and helpful.

Only go for the food poor quality furniture for extortionate prices

Sold us food that was inedible and wouldn’t allow a return. Such a disappointment from a usually reliable company.

Usual convenience i've come to expect from Ikea. Lots of stock and the food isn't bad either. Expect to be there a while, browsing and buying!

Perfect place to get some good ideas. I am using three beds, two wardrobes and many other furniture bits from Ikea. I would say that the designs are good. Furniture is long lasting only if you make the furniture according to the booklet provided with the furniture. Ikea has good lighting section where I would find good lamps. Indoor plant section is also good but plants are bit expensive. Do try the clearance section which is just next to check out and some time u find good deals.

I saw something strange that I guess you are not aware of what you’re doing. I saw the invaluable Persian handwoven rug were folded improperly under the shelf of one of the tables so dusty although the prices were over 1400£. but the ugly machine made carpets are hanging beautifully from ceiling. Do you know what you’re selling really? So you put away the valuable Persian rug which took a year to be ready so badly and then you hang the machine made carpet? are you serious?

IKEA itself is good with a variety of different products but its restaurant needs looking after and regularly checked as the food they were serving (fish and chips) were rock solid and inedible. There are never any available options to choose from and staff always seem fed up and don't want to be there. They never listen carefully to your order and just want to get you over and done with immediately. I'm not happy with the quality of service here in the restaurant.

I was not happy with my visit today at IKEA Birmingham. Firstly the food in the restaurant was so cold. fish, chips, French fries, tomato sauce and even the vegetable soup was cold. Secondly, there is no exit sign in both floors and we got lost and we went around about 30 minutes to find a way. There are many fire exit signs, but you can’t find a way to the cashiers. It is so confusing and has lots of maze.
