Tea and coffee wasn't good or even hot . Done shopping then when back and tried tea again only to have to use paper cups what's gone wrong here . Don't think I'll pop in again if going that way

We like Ikea , and last time we were in the Bristol store we thought we would get lunch in the restaurant. Worst decision, 25 minute wait staff like Zombies , only 1 till open so another 10 minute wait to pay with food going cold. Loads of posters showing interesting starters like gravadlax etc, but no sign of these at all. Awful cheesecake deserts that were so old the fruit on the top was bleeding into the white topping. Finally sat down at a table which was very very dirty and we became aware how dirty the whole place was. Awful experience, absolutely awful, we will never return here.

Absolutely AWFUL!!! I came here to shop, and bought some food at the end. Worst decision I’ve made. So unhygienic and terrible customer service. I’d honestly say there was about 30 flies flying around the food and staff were acting like it was normal. Had a young woman serve me and although it looked stressful she was giving us all dirty looks just because we were checking the order. If I could rate it 0 stars I would

Dirty, unpleasant, uncaring, depressing - and that’s just the food Out of cutlery, out of some of the small food options. The lingonberry drink seems to have been out of order for years. Tables not cleaned. It’s the most bleak food outlet I’ve ever been in. It used to be so much better. Obviously management don’t give a damn about the food anymore and the staff reflect that. And charging 50p for tiny squirt of fake cream for your nearly £3 slice of apple tart is disgusting. And no mayo or tartare sauce or even a slice of lemon on the fish. Just dry inedible bland food. Eat literally anywhere else in Bristol, or just go hungry and save the money. You’ll thank yourself for it. Avoid. IKEA Bristol management should be embarrased.

Have visited IKEA plenty of times, for bits and bobs over the years. Purchase options are now more limited and much more expensive than before Brexit. Especially in the food section. Disappointing. Decided to try the food, heard it was great. No. It wasn't. In spite of the massive queues that suggested it was worth the wait, it was not. Bland canteen service. Meatballs with no flavour and the worst fish and chips ever. Tried the prawn open sandwich. Limp, soggy prawns. Doubt any Swede would rate, let alone eat, this. Only plus was the Dime cake and drinks. Cheap? Yes. Good? No. Return visit? No.

To say disappointed would be the understatement of this year. Food was somewhat blah, no attention to how it was presented, the portion of chips was requested in a bowl rhe server put a scoop of chips in then knocked half of them out again. Cups which had been supposedly washed were dirty, cutlery that was supposed clean was dirty. The IKEA family free tea and coffee is now a disgusting Nescafe satchel that you add water to (this will cost you £1.50 if not IKEA Family) if you want a very average black coffee, cappuccino or Latte from a machine it's £1.75 with a small token just incase you thought you'd have another one! The shop was in disarray but I think they are getting ready for a massive shopping spree by students newly arriving to Bristol. Prices and service from the assistants not as good as it used to be. Won't be going back to IKEA any time soon, which us a shame as it used to be a nice experience.

I came at 5.30pm, there was a queue of people waiting for meatballs to be cooked. When they finally arrived and the staff started serving I was appalled at the sloppy service, food thrown onto the plates, gravy and sauce dripping over the plates. No sense of urgency to cover the backlog of customers waiting. As a retired catering manager I would suggest that the front of house staff have some serious training and for the duty manager to check on their staff to ensure the job is being done correctly. I will not be eating here again. I am a local customer. Thank you

We visited Ikea on a busy Sunday and were looking forward to some meatballs but were shocked at the length of the queues for the food. This isn't al la carte, but simple fast food with 5 things on the menu. The staff looked disinterested at best and whilst there were two staff on the counter, (two counters open both with two staff, both queueing way out of the snake q line) one seemed to not have anything to do, or look like they would try to help, whilst the queue was heading out of the restaurant. The service was so slow and painful to watch, they clearly hadn't been told about service. Agree with the other comment on personal hygiene, saw one staff member sneeze into her hands and then not wash them after. Seemed more interested in talking to other staff than serving. We did eventually get food, which was as expected, cheap cafe food. The metal cutlery wasn't clean, plus wooden forks only, the tables looked dirty, not been cleaned, half the coffee machines didn't work and all the staff looked totally disinterested. they walk around with Hej! on their backs but nobody looked happy and the whole experience was truly disappointing. Come on Ikea.

My recent visit to Ikea Cafe was very disappointing. The service was incredibly slow and unprofessional, with untrained and unhelpful staff. The hygiene standards were questionable, with the chef seen licking his fingers and handling food without washing his hands. Moreover, the manager's behavior was extremely intimidating and aggressive when asked about the quality of the service. I also witnessed discriminatory behavior from him towards a person who appeared to be of lower class. Overall, the food quality was not up to standard, and the dining area lacked cleanliness. This experience left me feeling extremely dissatisfied and would discourage me from returning

We used to really look forward to visiting the Ikea restaurant at Bristol but today's experience was terrible. At 5.30pm it was half closed despite lots of customers. We queued for ages only to find most of the cold food cabinets empty, there was no fish and chips, and the meatballs were undercooked. The serving staff were terrible - only one person serving hot food, and she spent 90% of the time chatting to other staff who were hanging around, serving them food, and was soooo slow. The meatballs were undercooked, the gravy was really disappointing, the peas were weirdly hard and bitter. Never again.

Not the pinnacle of haut cuisine but decent good value food to keep the kids fuelled during an Ikea trip. Children’s portions are ok for up to 10 years (if not small adults) and the adult’s portions are huge. Tips: arrive before 12 as it gets very busy and preferably grab a table before queuing (there are play areas for the kids) and notice that there are two identical queues either side (most people seem to just go for the one nearest)!

The picture of the advertised meal look great, but the reality is vastly different from the picture of the “Hot Dog Meal” I do however have to concede that it does say “Gherkin Relish”. I am a fan of IKEA as a shop and the furnitures and therefore I have visited quite a few IKEAs during my travels in Europe - including ones in Romania, Austria, Hungary, Germany, etc. I can safely say that the one in Bristol is by far the worst. The toilets stink of pee, there was loo paper all around the floor, the counters were dirty and none of this dirt was fresh, it wasn’t just left there by the last client before me, it has accumulated through many many days worth of lack of cleaning. In the dining area the tables and the cutlery was dirty, and the food, which is your normal IKEA food was both somehow overcooked and not fresh at 11am. The furniture is fine, but as far as the shops go, Worst. Ikea. Ever.

If you enjoy queuing for 35mins for fast food, then joining another queue to pay, then queuing again to collect your drinks and then queuing again for cutlery then this place is excellent. You can expect a two star hotel buffet experience, where staff are in no rush, tables are filthy, your food is cold by the time you get to eat it, and you and your family are thoroughly annoyed by the whole experience. How hard is it and how long does it take to slap some meatballs on a plate? Lots of people walking off, and we couldn't be bothered to go downstairs and queue again to buy our shopping.

In search of bits and bobs to dress the house I'm selling, I went to Ikea this morning and fancied a coffee before I tackled the maze that is the store... At the time I arrived ( around quarter past ten) they were offering a range of cooked brekkies, so I got myself a Small Cooked Breakfast and a big cup of excellent filter coffee for under a fiver. I have to say it was excellent! It was very standard fare - a rasher, a sausage, a little omlette, half a tom, a hash brown & a dab of beans, but what made it really very enjoyable was the fact that all the items were properly cooked. So often, a cut-price English brekkie isn't easy to enjoy, either 'cos the bacon is fatty, or the sausage under-cooked, or the fried items are swimming in oil, any any combination of the above! But the Ikea offereing as bang on - quite the nicest English fried brekkie I've had in ages - and that includes some of the offerings from quite expensive B&Bs!The filter coffee was excellent too - I have to say that if you're looking for an inexpensive traditional English brekkie that's properly cooked and tastes great, then Ikea has it ready and waiting for you. Another plus was the polite efficient staff, who dealt with a pretty large queue quickly and cheerfully. I'm going to go again tomorrow!

Wanted to see if these meatballs lived up to their high level of praise, they didn't disappoint! There was loads available including salads, kids options, fish and of course meatballs. Really nice.

It's worth popping in for the 70p hotdogs, refill drinks and the sweet collection is pretty good too.

You know what you're going to get in the ikea foodhall and the quality is consistent. This time round the staff were fantastic despite being under pressure with long queues of people.

Taking last Ikea have got some good vegetarian food. These balls are yummy. You can have 10 or 15 with a choice if smooth mashed potato (no lumps in sight) or fries and gravy. I've had them twice now and they are such good value. The only reason the food didn't get a five star review was the length of the queues. They are horrendous, and get worse nearer lunchtime. I must have stood in line for about 40 mins waiting and then having to wait again to pay. There needs to be something done about the queues as it is beyond a joke. All things considered the food is very palatable and generally of good quality. Take note IKEA, more staff needed to shorten those queues.

This is a usual pit stop for me when in Ikea. The choice is ok but I do like their meatballs and lingonberry sauce

Very nice looking resteraunt. Was under staffed and the meals that appears on screen in a mouth watering way was actually dried up junk in reality. 4 dried up meals in total. Fish and chips , salmon , macaroni cheese was just an abortion. However the jelly was fantastic

Chewy sausage, omelette like a flat tyre, hard tomato and a hash brown. Didn't know that breakfast was so grim in Sweden

Can't knock ikeas food as the prices are just so reasonable! The meatballs are by far the best option and I know many people that come to IKEA solely for this reason!

Pre shopping coffee. Unlimited free tea or coffee available if you have an Ikea family card. Restaurant is quite large and is self service. Food is varied and looked good.

Always good to take a break mid shop as Ikea is huge. Vegan version of meatballs are lovely - top marks but not very hot in temperature. Good chips & garlic bread. Lovely drinks, had ginger beer. Fab comfy seats. Sat out the way of screaming kids. Very reasonable totalling £8.50 for 2.

Can't have the full Ikea experience without 10 Meatballs, mash, berry sauce and gravy! Good value and tasty. Reason for average is I would say good, not very good. Keeping the food hot while you queue to pay then get your drinks is the downer. I do love the restaurant layouts nothing else quick like it really.

What a fantastic breakfast. We were really excited by the variety and choice. £2.25 for a full English, you can't make that yourself for that price. Will return!!

Bought a "too good to go" advertised as £9 worth of food for £3. Didn't expect amazing quality, but got a scoop of chips and a single sausage. If that is worth £9, then I recommend going elsewhere because it's really not worth it... unless you like salt, there was probably more salt than actual chips.
