Bestelling klopt helemaal niet, het eten was grotendeels koud en het duurde ook nog eens bijna anderhalf uur. Echt schande dus niet aan te raden op zaterdag avond. Smaak was redelijk maar extreem duur voor wat je krijgt.

They have a good choice of hot food and daily made sushi however the meat on the curry dish was a bit on the dry side. With the meal deal you can pick only the drinks that was fizzy or displayed over the counter but none of the other drink options like the aloe vera etc. The noodles was from part of Shoryu ramen, they can do with less salt in their food.

Great food and lots of choice. Very authentic. I’ve been multiple times and keep coming back for more. It’s not a place to linger over candlelight but for a quick pit stop for an hour for tasty food it can’t be beaten. It’s also much quieter than the busy main Westfield food court. The supermarket choice is excellent too and I’d recommend the frozen gyoza to take home and cook yourself as well as the Mochi, little moons ice cream, frozen chicken skewers and frozen edamame.

Absolutely love this place! Has an incredible Japanese supermarket and small takeaway section too where they have pre-packaged goods you can take away and eat instantly, as well as all types of food and beverage, from frozen mochi to sake to anime and manga magazines. They have a substantially large ranged menu for a shop already serving so much, and the food though a little pricey is absolutely delicious, particularly the ramen, which comes steaming in a large portion and has a really good broth. I have never seen them to be underserving in the couple of times I've been here throughout the years before and after the pandemic. If you love Japanese food this is definitely worth your time rather than any of the chain stores if you're at Westfield!

We visited (Tuesday) today expecting great things of the restaurant and food. Having driven from afar and paid the exhorbitant parking fee we were bitterly disappointed. My son ordered ‘hot’ ramen from the menu. The queue was long with only one cashier. Although the food pret wasn’t long the chef was handling both food and utensils without gloves or washing his hands in between. The lukewarm ramen arrived half cooked. Clearly cheap dried ramen and not the fresh kind. Portion small for £13! And only 2 slices of pork. The egg was good though. Seriously overpriced. I bought mixed seafood sashimi. Rice was hard as a brick and I couldn’t break it up £11! I left the rice and ate the fish. We both had upset stomachs afters. At least there were plenty of toilets nearby. The supermarket was nice with select stock of pricey goods. Good as place for novices but avoid if you want a decent meal. Won’t normally write criticism as I was once in the hospitality business but really want to see this place do well and make Japan proud! Good luck!

Was eating at the restaurant but had to say to the cashier I was getting takeaway so it would be more than £2 cheaper. The sushi rice was a bit too dense but the fish was great for the price. The sukiyaki was very good and came quite quickly and very hot. Would come back just not buying the sushi. Hate how eat-in is randomly more expensive than takeaway even though there is literally no difference between the two.

We were given the ringing device after ordering at a till with a woman who barely spoke English. The device wasn't working so, after 20 minutes we had to wait for our food at the counter anyway...We first thought of eating sushi, but each small package was very expensive. Pricewise, the counter was not much better. Result of our orders: lukewarm Udon soup and few miserable fried vegetables over a bowl of rice. All considering, it is probably one of the most expensive eateries in all Westfield, with no service, no atmosphere, mediocre food. Suggestions: you want to eat Japanese? Go somewhere else. You want to eat at Westfield Mall? Go somewhere else.

Ichiba is both a Japanese food court and also a store for general Japanese groceries and goods. While there is a very wide selection of groceries, these are quite expensive, so although you can find an original gift here, it is not somewhere I would shop normally. I used to come here frequently for the food however, but after today's experience I will never return. I came on a Monday afternoon around 5 pm and ordered six takoyaki. These are pieces of octopus fried in a ball of batter, with 'tenkasu' (crunchy deep-fried tempura pieces). Takoyaki are Japanese 'fast-food; but I had to wait 25 minutes for them. None of the tables had been cleared, and of the three beer pumps only one was working. When my takoyaki finally arrived I found that the piece of octopus inside was barely the size of my little finger! The octopus was barely discernible, and you were basically just eating a ball of fried dough. Even the tenkasu was missing. I was willing to try a different dish to see if it was any better, but when I went to the tills (you need to order and pay in advance) the one girl who had been there had gone away and now all the tills were unmanned. Clearly the whole place was extremely badly run and I decided to cut my losses and leave. As a lover of Japanese food I was extremely disappointed. This place used to be really good but has gone downhill terribly and half the serving points are now closed.

I ordered a Katsudon (Chicken with rice and omelette).. The fried chicken tasted like plastic and the breadcrumbs tasted like old breadcrumbs that have been re-heated over and over again... I tried and couldn't eat it! Is that even food? I complained to the Manager named 'Karuna' (from the receipt) and requested a full refund. She was extremely rude and didn't even apologise! She wanted to blame me (the customer) ...AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! You can seriously get sick from eating the food at ICHIBA WESTFIELD! It's such a disappointed as the overall shop and restaurant look nice but the food and customer service are both awful.

Ichiba is a Japanese very big grocery store with a hot food counter serving everything from yakiniku, donburi, tofu and sushi to Shoyru ramen and takoyaki. I had Takoyaki, Edamame, Yakiniku mix which came with teriyaki chicken, beef tataki, pork, peppers and negima yakitori which was about £13 and tasted amazing. The yakoyaki and Hiyayakko tofu were also really good, the portions here are generous and prices are moderate. You get this little beeping device that beeps when your food is ready to collect, which is pretty cool. The supermarket is well stocked with tons of Japan imported groceries, sake, sweets, tea, miso, noodles, rice, beauty products, tableware, books, mochi, mochi icecream, wagashi and also all the popular sauces like Kewpie mayo, okonomiyaki sauce, dashi, a butcher etc. Literally everything you need to make authentic Japanese food. The downside is that although all the products are the exact same as what you get in Japan since they are directly imported, they are super expensive and the price is marked up by x3-4 times that of the same product in Japan. But if you’re looking for real authentic groceries, then Ichiba is great.
