Hwyl in Bracknell Forest

Fabulous vegan option. Lovely flavours that I would never have combined myself. Lovely vibe, very relaxed and our dog was with us. I thought the food was great but we took some coffee away with us. It was outstanding.

The ambience is pretty chilled and the staff were really attentive and friendly. Food was gorgeous, top quality ingredients and tastes, really well put together.

Excellent coffee from Coaltown Coffee, and some absolutely excellent food. Not quite 5 stars, as the prices seemed just a shade on the high side for a coffee shop (albeit a really nice one) in a back street in Llanelli. One of the staff also didn't seem as though they were having a particularly great day...

Love Hwyl and the food, as do my friends who I frequent there with. More upmarket than your usual café, and owners are lovely. However, I would say staff need to work on the friendly welcome. I had one member of staff be quite condescending when I asked to have my eggs cooked a certain way, along with her and the other staff, it can feel like you are an inconvenience to them when you ask for service, whether it be for a drink or anything else you need. Unfortunately due to the attitude of the staff at times, it does effect the amount my friends and I visit. But again, I can't emphasise enough the quality of the food, and polite manner of the owners.

Tasty meals all around from fish to steaks but our favs were the parmesan & truffle fries - I could have eaten a plate of these. Relaxed atmosphere and reasonably priced will certainly return again soon.

You could almost be forgiven for not noticing this place whilst walking around llanelli. Down a street with a little sign that hints of coffee, you would definitely be missing out though if you didn’t go in. Inside it’s got a youthful feel and a shabby-chic retro-vibe, eclectic, wouldn’t be out of place gentrifying somewhere or other. It feels like a really friendly place backed by friendly and helpful staff. The food was something pretty special as was the coffee. Definitely worth return visits.

Have just had the pleasure of the first of many visits to Hwyl. Jason and Victoria have had the guts to take up the challenge of opening a restaurant in an area of Llanelli that is largely derelict! The fact that they have vision to create something special is in itself hugely refreshing and for that reason alone, they deserve success More importantly, the fact that the standard of food and service is exemplary tells me that this is a unique opportunity in Llanelli to have amazing food in a funky, upbeat, friendly environment which cannot be beaten The hospitality is amazing - led by Victoria and Jason at the helm. The food is second to none in this area. As a pescatarian the choice was amazing Oysters to start - so fresh I could still smell the sea Main course - Fillet of Salmon - perfectly cooked and really tasty Other half (not veggie) - crispy cockles to start - amazingly tasty Main course -Rib eye steak perfectly cooked as ordered Side orders of Hispy cabbage and fried with truffle - perfect accompaniments to our mains It’s been a long time coming but Llanelli finally has a fabulous place to eat that deserves support and success. Congratulations Jason and Victoria for having the vision and foresight to open Hwyl We will be avid supporters and wish you every success in your venture

I've been eating here weekly for the last 12-18 months and tried most of the dishes. There is not one that has been a letdown. Great portions, quality ingredients, a step above your normal cafe. Stand outs for me are the truffled mushrooms, or the chorizo dish. Most recently tried the banana bread dish which was outstanding. Staff are excellent and really friendly, coffee one of the best around. Slightly more expensive than other local cafes but more than worth it. Still haven't tried the evening menu as I'm not local, will look forward to making plans for that.

I visited Hwyl for the first time recently following a friends recommendation. We went on a Friday night and the atmosphere was amazing. There’s a great choice of food and drinks (definitely try the cocktails!). Had an amazing time.

Visited on a Saturday to try the new evening menu. I love the brunch here but I think the evening menu is even better. Everything was perfect. The ingredients are excellent quality. There was also a lot of variety on the menu. Staff are friendly and attentive. Cocktails were great. I actually don’t have a bad word to say. Can’t believe we are lucky enough to have Hwyl in Llanelli of all places. Will be returning

Nice place for breakfast, a nice change to a greasy breakfast. The sourdough bread was amazing! I was hoping for eggs benedict though and this wasn’t on the menu..

nice place, great atmosphere. music was quite loud and i couldn’t really hear my friends talking across the table at some points of some songs. the food was nice, just slightly over the top. the prices of the food is very expensive. they cater very well for people looking for vegan and gluten free options.

An extensive menu choice yet lacks a few basic choices for the “plain” eaters. The truffle mushrooms with eggs and smoked salmon and açai were very tasty and the quality of the ingredients was excellent. Overall very satisfied with food, service too was excellent. I felt that breakfast and a drink for 2 at £24 was expensive - despite the quality ingredients. I would visit again and recommend though. Perhaps not a weekly visit!

From the outside this place looks like any coffee shop. However, once you enter you are greeted with the most amazing staff who are so smiley. You are shown to your table and water and glasses are placed there. The lighting is subtle which adds to the ambiance. The menu is not huge which for me is nice as it takes ages for me to pick food. We both opted for the breakfast hash which is a full English with a difference. Bacon, sausage, beans, mushrooms, potatoes and black pudding. It’s all cut into smaller pieces with two poached eggs on the top with a hint of chilli. This is all served on a piece of sour dough toasted bread. I have eaten cooked breakfasts for over 49 years on and off as a treat. I have to say that this breakfast is the nicest breakfast I have ever eaten. The price is right and the attention to detail from the staff us truly amazing Well done.

Had a wonderful time with family for my sisters 50th birthday. Staff were so accommodating. Service was great and the food was amazing! Highly recommended. I drove down from Scotland as a surprise and everyone were so helpful and allowed me to drop a balloon and cake. Thanks Hwyl!

What a gem of a coffee shop. The food is amazing the staff are friendly and the atmosphere was great. They went the extra mile with the baby changing area with quality of the baby changing mat & even supplying baby wipes

Amazing brunch and great coffee. Loved the interior, it reminded me of the amazing brunch spots in Australia, and the staff were so friendly. Can’t wait to go back to try more of the menu as there was so much choice!

The best brunch you’ll have in Llanelli Food is incredible, lovely atmosphere and good choice of beers, gins, rums and soft drinks. Staff are really friendly and Welsh speaking. Lovely to see lots of local produce and bakery’s being used. Can’t wait to visit again...

Lovely up market place, in the town centre. Been there twice and the food is amazing. It’s beautifully decorated with a great atmosphere. Dog friendly. Highly recommend a visit here, you won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely lovely food. I really appreciate the vegan options as there isn’t much in llanelli. I had a lovely time and people need to support this business more. Lovely staff and coffee too. Would highly recommend, probably the nicest place in Llanelli. Spot on!

First visit for takeout - lovely coffee and cake. Disappointed at prices being charged especially surcharge for dairy free alternative in coffee which doesn’t occur in most other establishments. Lovely addition to Llanelli but £££ so would not be a regular visitor
