We popped in for drinks Christmas Day, the lady behind the bar couldn’t have been more welcoming. Beaming smile and wished us a very merry Christmas! Lovely atmosphere, the owner came over to chat to us, really recommend for a friendly welcoming place and fantastic service! Will be back x

Great venue but I agree with the other review. The female owner needs to go on a customer service course. Staff are great and very hard working.

Our friends Tim and Janet, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary at Hurtwood Park. The whole thing was superb, the food the music and the good company of friends. Very little to complain about, except the ladies loos and the drive leading to the club, but hey we can forgive that. Thank you Hurtwood, but even more thanks and love to Tim and Janet.. Xx

treating staff like scum shows real lack of class.I witnessed abuse and swearing at staff who seemed to be doing a very good job with little or no direction and when they failed to guess the addled wishes of the "tired and emotional" "lady owner" they were shouted at.

This is a great restaurant for children, there being plenty of space for them to run around in. Dogs are welcome, too. Plus the food is very good! Sunday lunch especially is terrific, and reasonable in price. There are wines that suit most people and everyone is very welcoming. We always enjoy our meals here. It is a good venue for a lunchtime drink at the bar, too. Our next visit is in early December when Willie Austin is playing, and fish and chips are on the menu! Lovely!

The Polo club is situated in the foot of the Surrey Hills, it is a lovely old surrey barn with the restaurant having views over the polo fields. The restaurant allows a relaxing unhurried meal. We had the Sunday roast with all the trimmings, the roast beef and pork was to perfection. we followed it with a gorgeous cheesecake. A walk around the polo fields after, was the perfect answer to a scrumptious lunch.

We ate our meals in the lovely surroundings of the Polo Club and the delightful barn. The relaxed atmosphere is always conducive to a good meal and the food was beautifully cooked and greatly enjoyed. We had the ham hock and the soup, the roast pork and beef, all delicious, and the blueberry cheesecake was divine!

We wnt here for Father's Day and had a lovely meal in the restaurant, although there was no record of our booking which we had made a month earlier. Although there a few nicely located tables spare, we were placed next to the kitchen, which was not ideal. However, the food was excellent, great cuts of roast lamb, and the starters and pudding were great as well. If you go here in the summer, there should also be some polo matches on offer, but you'll have to consult the fixture list. Although this is a fantastic location location, I was surprised by the fact there it was not packed. It has so much potential.

We are so delighted that the Polo Club has come back into action. It has been missed during its short break! The food is delicious, the menu unfussy, the service is very good and the venue is as wonderful as ever. The old barn, where the restaurant is situated, is beautiful and the Polo Club grounds are brilliant for children to play safely in. We had a very happy family lunch there. Our thanks, especially, to Jayne and Jo, and the chef!

Fabulous for a Sunday Lunch all either local and/or british products. From the meat to the vegetables & fruit everything is sourced as locally as possible. For me that is a BIG PLUS of this restaurant and I truly believe what OUR farmers can produce way outshines what is imported. Field to plate in 48 hours! Sorry, no photos, I just enjoyed the company I was with and the delightful food which was all beautifully presented.

5 out of 5! First visit, lively and friendly. Fantastic, tasty, hot fresh food. Starters, calamari, and chicken wings were delicious. Mains, kofte kebab, and pork kebab are also excellent. Buffalo fries were stunning. The two veggies with us had superfood salad and a sweet potato dish, which I was assured were really good!!! Good choice of beer and wine and delightful staff!! Cost us about £72 per couple, including drinks and gratuity, which I considered very acceptable for the evening we had! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. We will definitely be going back! 👍🏽

We were a mixed aged family group meeting for a celebration meal. Everyone at the Barn at Alfold went out of their way to make our experience special - the food was beautiful and the welcome and service was wonderful. Thank you xx

We had a very disappointing experience. We had chosen the restaurant to meet up with friends for lunch. When we arrived it seemed we were expected for tea - at 1230. Despite email confirmation for lunch and mentioning a menu choice. The lunch menu is light meals only, but even so the food was unappetising and poor. A big let down despite the smart grounds.
