Take away last night and except the rice which was ok - other 3 dishes were very poor and we couldn’t eat them -won’t be using this place again

I just placed an order and paid online. Called to chase after 1h30 and found an automated message saying they are closed for 3 weeks. Don't take payment if you are not open

Badshot Lea Chinese Kitchen is the best Chinese around. Their menu offers a range of dishes all the way from appetizers to deserts. My personal favourite is Japanese Stir Fried Udon Noodles, absolutely delicious. Along side their food their service is also great making sure everything you want is clear and 10/10. I live in Farnborough where there are many Chinese takeaways however I always get Chinese from Badshot Lea Chinese Kitchen as it is unbeatable.

We had the chicken balls and the chicken curry. The chicken was the weirdest and worst chicken I've ever had. It was a really weird texture and was completely tasteless. It was vile. It was rubbery and slimy. It was not edible. I ate the batter from the chicken balls and thes rest of the curry but did not eat the chicken. The chicken fried rice was more boiled rice than fried. Disappointing. The curry sauce was tasty. The vegetable spring rolls were average. The Staff were arguing with each other as I walked into the Chinese. I would hate this place to be my local Chinese. I was just visiting the area and picked this place as it was my first choice as I love a chinese take away. I should have gone for pizza.

It has always been and always will be one of the bests Chinese’s I’ve had. The food was delicious. The staff were friendly. The service was great.

Women on the phone was polite and then I get a A text which was extremely rude set demanding that I resolve the payment issue which I have resolved the issue in a timely manner and I've got proof And I am being harassed Buy this rude gentleman I'm assuming he is I don't know absolutely unacceptable to treat your customers like this and I certainly will not recommend anyone going for this place the food wasn't exactly the best either they need to learn to be polite and use their manners and treat their customs with respect extremely disappointing experience and I would avoid a all costs

The restaurant is a bit difficult to find because it's on the edge of a road. The food tasted nice other than the banana pastry in honey it all tasted nice, just the banana tasted a bit different than I'm used to. The food that was really nice was egg fried rice with sweet and sour source. The service time was quick, considering it's a small family working there. The atmosphere wasn't that good as it was quite small. A tv was ripped out of the wall, but other than those issues, it was a pretty good restaurant.

This is a takeaway restaurant. The food was good but did take an hour to arrive (was not warned of this when ordering). But we ordered a set meal and all thoroughly enjoyed it.

Gone massively downhill ☹️ Really fancied a Chinese, but my usual favourite the Sizzling Wok was closed. I asked the lady if they done a udon special chow mein. She said no only chicken with udon. I ordered this along with a hot and sour soup and the chicken balls. The hot and sour soup was mostly vegetables not very nice. The chicken balls were 80% batter which was soggy and the chicken inside wasn’t very nice either, and the chicken chow mein thing was very bland. Hurry up Sizzling Wok and open! because I’m not using Badshot Lea any time soon actually ever again.

Service was good but the rice was a bit bland could of done with actually being fried longer if at all.

Friendly service .... There wasn't any. I wasn't greeted at all and when I call for someone from the kitchen, a lady came out blowing her nose!! Looked like she had just woken up too. Not great. Pad Thai was slimy and the Kung po prawns weren't hot despite collecting it. Satay sauce was watery. A few good points, the pancake rolls were nice and the smoked shredded chicken was done well. Also, no prawn crackers even with a 40 quid order. Not impressed

Have tried fried rice and noodle. They are delicious and in low salt style. Definitely will order again.

We have been using this Chinese takeaway for years always had great food, they are quick with delivery and if they are busy they let you know it is going to take a while to deliver. Never had a bad meal and the owners are always friendly. I think they are the best Chinese in the area

Unfortunately we found hair cooked into our chicken and cucumbers where off as if they had been sitting together for a long while. Very quick but not good food, crispy chicken was pure batter, had to take off big chunks of batter. Will not go again.

Very disappointed, took an hour and half for delivery. When I called to see where my food was restaurant staff was very rude and put the phone down on me. Food finally arrived and was very bland. Would not order again. 😡

We live In Runfold Village half a mile from Badshot Lea and Decided to order 1 Malaysian and 2 Thai curries and was delighted with 3 zingy fresh delicious meals. We order Chinese and Asian cuisine from here once a month for years. Always great, always quick, recommended if you love Chinese and Asian Food.

I can hear my food squeak like chewing gum whilst eating, just got home and the egg fried rice is the plainest rice I've ever eaten. The chicken in the (sopposedly fried garlic and salt chicken) was obviously frozen supermarket chicken boiled to a pulp with no flavour falling apart in your mouth like a boiled chicken nugget. Girl on reception was lovely and is the only reason this place gets a star. Blandest food ive ever eaten.

Perfect takeaway experience, not very expensive and completely delicious!

We live really locally but have never ordered from the Chinese, mainly because we always end up having Indian if we have a takeaway. Decided to mix things up a bit and what a revelation! The food was exceptional, very reasonably priced and quick service. We picked up because we live so close so can't comment on delivery but our whole experience was spot on. (An the Malaysian curry was exceptional)

Terrible food. Having been raised by two professional chefs, you can tell its cheap frozen food warmed up in a microwave. You could hear the pings of the microwaves go off when waiting to collect. It's really bad!

Very rude service, really in need of learning some manners and people skills, but the food is great.. I REALLY HOPE THAT THEY ARE ABLE TO PUT THE ONE THING THAT LETS THEM DOWN, PUT RIGHT, OTHERWISE, THAT WOULD BE A GREAT SHAME ON WHAT COULD BE A GREAT PLACE..

Not based on food but poor customer service, not really bothered I had to go collect the meal because lack of drivers but more bothered at the bordem and blatant can't be bothered look from the front of house. As soon as the order was payed for and thephone stopped ringing they went on their phone playing games and chewing on long pink acrylic nails. No "hello" just a plain "can I help", no smile, no sort of welcoming. Food isn't just the cause of a good restaurant, it's also the feeling you get when served even if it is no more than 2 minutes.

Terrible phone manners, the person on the phone was extremely rude, the food took over an hour to arrive, had to ring up twice to chase the delivery only to be told it’s on its way, we will never eat there ever again. Food was disgusting too. There lucky to get one star.

Been a customer for over 20 years.ordered myself a big portion of barbecue ribs last week.they were all fat and cartilage. I phoned them up straight away to tell them .however I just went back in their to get order some more food, when I explained to her about the ribs she said she couldn't remember, I said I wasn't happy with paying for something you couldn't eat, she didn't like it, but said OK,I'll get you some more,snatched the money out my hand.i went outside, and realised that she didn't do what she said, and give me another portion ,so I pulled her up on it saying she charged me full price,I said I wasn't happy, she said you've already had food for free before. I'm on the autistic spectrum so I would remember such an event.in said I haven't had free food.I said it wasn't about the money. I gave her the change of the note I gave her,and walked out.losing all my food and a tenner. 20 years of being a customer obviously meant nothing

Had the worst customer experience from Badshot lea Chinese today... after being a customer for many years previously. After taking over an hour to deliver the food, the order was completely wrong.... a vegetarian dish turned up as chicken and no extra gravy for another order. I called up to request a re delivery after my daughter had just eaten meat for the first time in I don’t know how many years and we were refused a re delivery, only offered credit to which I did not want to receive. After a few minutes, the very, very young lady on the phone hung up and then again multiple times, so I am even unable to get a refund or the credit that was offered! Absolutely shocking and I will not be ordering again!!! They have lost a customer of over 30 years and have never had a problem before. Unbelievable and very disappointing. Wouldn’t even give 1 star for today’s experience.

Barbecue spareribs last night I had satay chicken, pancake roll and barbecue spareribs the Satay chicken was lovely as was the pancake roll but the barbecue spareribs the meat was hard dried out and reheated with the source would not recommend them

the reviews put me off a bit, so while staying in the area I got a takeaway from a different place. But as that wasn't very nice, I decided to go for the Badshot Lea Chinese Kitchen this time. Good food, freshly cooked and tasty, not over salted, varied flavours, quickly delivered (still hot and fresh!), courteous delivery chap and exactly what I had ordered. Very impressive! Squid was perfectly cooked, light and not greasy or stodgy - not an easy dish to get right but they've done a fab job. Would recommend!

Very good takeaway service with food prepared quickly and to a good quality. I have used this takeaway on multiple occasions and definitely would again.

I decided to give this chinese takeaway a try because the one i normally use was shut!(tastyhouse) really not impressed tasteless chicken currey completly bland suppose to have egg fried rice tastes more like boil rice no egg seaweed had no flavour will not be ordering again!

Great food and the qaulity is consistent

I live only a few minutes away, so I can phone in my order and walk round to collect it 15 - 20 minutes later. The food is always hot, very tasty and in ample portions, and the staff are pleasant - they address me by name when I phone as they recognise my number. A handy facility to have so close at hand.

Food was okay. They messed up the order though and when I phoned up to ask where the rest was I got “I do you credit for your next order.” So when I told them that I didn’t want credit they said they’d get the rest to me in an hour. I called up after the hour to be told “the driver isn’t back yet, it’ll be one hour” I’ve just called up after ANOTHER hour to be told he’s still not back and she doesn’t know how long it will be. It’s a shame really as my family have used this place for years and it’s always been pretty good so after hearing about how much it had gone downhill I wanted to ignore that and believe that they were still as good as I remember. Apparently I was wrong. Never going to be using here again sadly.

You get what you pay for and I find this one of the better take aways and the price is good, it's like 15 pounds for a meal for 2. Better use cash as they charge for card at any amount and better to collect as they charge a delivery charge Food always come hot and used sometimes 3 times per week, never got a order wrong and never cold when arrived Not thbest food ever but worth what you pay

I have used this takeaway for years and when I get the feeling that I need a chinese, I go to the one place where the the quality is always good. I couldn't recommend this higher it's good. I get mine home delivered it's quick and reasonable, best in town.

Placed my order, was told extra 50p if paying by credit card, I was paying with a debit card, told still have to pay it !! Owner not very polite, and food not much better. When I got home the order what not what I had asked for. Won't be going back there !!!!

This place has gone down hill in the past few months. We order from there regularly but over the past month, a certain woman there will say that the card machine isn't working (when ordering over the phone), but others use the card machine straight away when I've asked. Last night we (4 of us) ordered quite late and when it arrived an order was wrong, they sent beef instead of chicken. The person that had ordered that dish can't eat beef, so we rang up. We were not greeted well and were offered a discount next time, which we said wasn't good enough. The woman then proceeded to shout at my mum, and after a long back and forth about wanting the right meal, she finally agreed and said that the card machine was "miraculously working now", so that we could pay for the whole order now instead of tomorrow (this was discussed earlier due to the card machine 'not working'). The altercation caused some anger which is not ideal on a Saturday night when you just want your food with your family. The woman showed up with the correct meal, and held it back until we returned the beef dish to her. She was blunt, rude and hostile which we all did not appreciate. So all in all terrible experience. Don't get me wrong, the food is always excellent (when it's right) but it shouldn't be that much hassle! Won't be ordering from there again.

Que pedimos desde aquí regularmente para un buen par de años, pero los últimos 4 + veces hemos pedido el pedido se ha equivocado! ! ! Cuando nos llame se niegan a sustituir la comida y ofrecen un crédito fuera la próxima comida que nunca hemos visto aplicado. . . . Esta noche tuvimos una comida que fue destinado para el comer vegetariano con nosotros hecho con pollo. Teníamos el típico le daremos un crédito la próxima vez, pero insistió en que era sustituido, que sugirió mi marido fuimos a recoger, lo que habría significado la comida hubiera necesitado en el momento en que recalentar. Pedimos que, después nos dieron redelivered fuera del teléfono también descubrimos el chow mein tenía pollo y no simple, como habíamos pedido. . . . . Ahora es 90 minutos desde que esa petición se hizo y todavía no hay comida. Ahora he tenido que hacer la comida vegetariana comida alternativa. No hace falta decir cuando entretenido y también verguenza inaceptable servicio! ! ! Esto sigue pasando y como resultado, ahora vamos a usar otro establecimiento. Es una pena, ya que la comida que sirven es encantador cuando van bien. . . . .

Badshot Lea Chinese Kitchen does consistently good food. Our family particularly like the chicken satay on skewers, crispy duck pancakes and the curries. There are meals suitable for vegans too.

Common problem of not many choices for a vegetarian main. Lots of tofu dishes but most contain fish or oyster sauce. Lots of starters or sides but sometimes you want a proper main.

Las 3 últimas veces que he estado en esta comida china que siempre he tenido mi pedido messed up! Cuando me llamó y me preguntó donde está, intentaron no me dan comida había pagado para o negaron que incluso pedimos! Dos horas después del fin último la comida apareció y no era apropiado para comer ya que estaba quemada y bien hecha. Nunca vamos a volver. Personal grosero. esto chino ha bajado el pan

He estado aquí un par de veces donde el sistema funciona bien ... cuando no está ocupado. Fui allí esta semana para llevar 84 años una vieja señora discapacitada. .. era caos total. Estaba muy concurrido y en estos momentos está claro que el sistema...

ordenados y pagamos por una comida para llevar sólo para encontrar que cuando llegamos nos exigieron dinero, ya que aparentemente era más de 3 millas - nunca nos han hecho antes, no creo que sea aceptable o razonable. que es inaceptable.

Me encanta el curry de pollo siempre me dan. Normalmente tenemos entrega y ha sido siempre muy rápido para nosotros. Yo soy exigente y pide siempre sin guisantes y nunca he tenido ningún problema con ello como mi curry viene sin guisantes.

We love this takeaway! For this type of food it Can't be beaten & believe me we have tried! It's tasty fresh & clean. Prices aren't the cheapest , but as I said food is great! Only thing that lets it down are the phone manners of some of the staff. If they were a little more polite , it would be the perfect takeaway!

We have been going regularly for a decade and this alone pretty much says it all. Every week they are very friendly and the food is excellent. Spoken to a lot of people who use them too and all of whom share this opinion however online the restaurant do not appear to have a very good reputation which is why I am writing this review. For the area the prices are reasonable and compared to many of the other chinese restaurants and takeaways locally they are far superior. Over the years we have sampled near enough the whole menu and have rarely been disappointed with what we have eaten. The food is ready quickly although we always pre-order or get it delivered and is piping hot and fresh. The chow meins, chicken satay, spicy beef and rice dishes in particular are fantastic. If you are looking for consistently quality chinese takeaway food then Badshot Lea Kitchen are a great place to go.

I know many of our friends have been here and have said the Takeaway food is great. We stopped off on our way home and put in quite a comprehensive request list of food. Several customers came in to take away pre ordered meals and we waited in anticipation. Finally our large bag of goodies was ready and the five of us went straight home. The culinary delight we were all looking forward too was i am afraid far from that. When you have to ask people if they would like one lump of rice or two, you will be able to understand our dismay. The one meal which was perfect was the Chicken Chow Mein. I myself had ordered the BQ Spare ribs which looked lovely but OH MY GOD when I went to eat the first one, my teeth bounced off the rib as it was just fat on a bone. I did have however, several ribs and managed to eat complete about 2/3rds. The remainder went out for the fox who will eat anything. When everyone had finished the thoughts on the meal we had eaten varied from awful to oh well we must have just been unlucky. The person eating the Chow Mein was the only delighted one. If I had to give the food a mark out of 10 it would only get 4 at best. Having said all of this we did tell our friends who get food from here all the time about our disaster, they seemed very surprised so I can only speak how we found. You may have more luck but I feel when it comes to eating, luck should not come into it. Please also note that parking in this area is very difficult as the takeaway is right in the centre of Badshot Lea on the corner of the Traffic Lights.
