Sabai Thai kitchen in Waverley

My friend and I came to try out the new brunch menu and we both selected the Bao Bun dish. It was a delicious combination of soft sweet bun, savoury marinated pork and crispy apple fritter topped with sirachi mayo and coriander. Very satisfying indeed! We also ordered prawn crackers and their signature Thai iced tea (with condensed milk and tapioca pearls) for extra texture. Perfect as a filling lunch that lasted us until evening 😋 Will definitely be returning to try out the other options on the brunch menu! The staff were friendly and attentive too which made the atmosphere most welcoming 🙏

Amazing food, the bao buns were the best I’ve ever had! The pad Thai and pad siew are also delicious. Really lovely staff who were very helpful as well. Highly recommend for brunch or dinner

Went to try their Brunch menu and I loved it. They have a very diverse menu to choose from like Korean style chicken sandwich, honey toast and Bao bun. I would definitely recommend this place and I can’t wait to go back to try more dishes. 🤤🤤

I had Moo Ping (pork skewers) with sticky rice, the taste’s brilliant like foods in Thailand. Love it and would recommend!!!

Tried this restaurant (delivered via Deliveroo) for the first time today as it had good reviews. I had the fish cakes, chicken panang, and coconut rice. They were sold out of prawn crackers I presume as they weren’t available which is quite unusual in itself. I was impressed they noted what was gluten free on the menu. It arrived hot and the packaging was good - paper bag, cardboard containers. The fishcakes were nice. The panang curry was different or somehow less flavourful than I’m used to (a dish I’ve had many times from many places) but it tasted ok. The only real downside was the chicken - it tasted reconstituted. I presume it was very cheap with a lot of added water perhaps, which I felt very uncomfortable about eating, so I didn’t finish it. Quite disappointing and I certainly can’t recommend it.. I think for the price the ingredients should be of higher quality. I may order again but I would only be willing to have something with prawns or vegetarian.

We came in as a group of seven of us for an evening meal and ordered an array of dishes across starters and mains - all delicious! Will definitely be returning and also recommending to others 👍

Food was absolutely disgusting no flavour small portions and expensive. Definitely would not recommend.

Unfortunately this isn't a restraunt I'd return to ever again and I urge anyone thinking of attending to stay clear. Starter was no more than an Iceland cold plate with the main being worse Such a shame but food made us feel ill and we're unable to finish

Finally an excellent takeaway in our area! We tried here about a year ago and were underwhelmed. I’m not sure what’s changed exactly but this experience was very different. Fresh and authentic - the jungle curry was extremely spicy (as it should be) and still retained amazing flavour. Masaman just the right amount of milder heat and the beef fell apart. They did gluten free salt pepper squid especially which was great, though unfortunately the only drawback as it was quite greasy. Really generous portion of prawn crackers when ordered, and the golden veg parcels were crispy and delicious. Packaging impressed us too as mostly cardboard with plastic lids. Will definitely be ordering again 🙂

We went here for my wife's 50th Birthday. It's the best Thai food we have had! We couldn't have been made to feel anymore welcome and they even presented my wife with a fruit dessert with happy birthday engraved in chocolate. This place is a hidden gem and we'll be visiting again even though we live in Bognor!

Tom Kha, Khao soi, Thai coconut pancake with ice cream. Just amazing! I will definitely be back again.

Delicious food and excellent service.

Ordered Massaman curry, Pad Kra Poa and salt and pepper squid for collection. When we went to collect at the time given, there was a slight communication issue and so the order didn't reach the kitchen properly. We were kindly offered a free drink and prawn crackers while we waited for the food to be ready. The food was ready within 10 minutes, and we really appreciated the great customer service. As for the food, their Massaman curry is probably the best I've ever tasted. The beef was so succulent and tender. The salt and pepper squid is definitely up there with the best I've tried too, and the Pad Kra Poa was so delicious. We will definitely be returning here.

You know a good restaurant when you are not charged for chilli sauce!! In a Thai when a dish mentions in its description that it made with basil and chillis you should be able to taste the basil and not just chillis.. The restaurant was total quiet only us dining in but it still managed to give poor flavour food and such small portions. I’m sorry we chose this restaurant to eat at. Would I recommend I don’t think so.

Had a very enjoyable meal in the restaurant, one of our group was Thai and found the meal authentic. They then provided a buffet dinner for 45 of us at a village hall. Set up the buffet and came back later to clear up and remove everything. Everyone enjoyed the meal although the children found the prawn crackers rather spicy!

Brilliant good and great service

Thoroughly enjoyed a meal here with my other half. Relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious Thai food. We ordered the salt and pepper squid, beef massaman, chicken Thai green curry and jasmine rice. All flavoursome and more-ish! Will definitely be coming back again 😊

Initially I was just disapointed by the quality of the food, but i ended up astounded at the restaurants response "yes, that is what we aimed for". Tom yum soup - very thin, baiscally a spoon on paste, two little bits of chicken. You can do this at home in 2 minutes and wouod be less disappointed . Salt and pepper prawns - tatsed fine, but only 3 prawns. 3!! Pad thai - 4 bits of tofu, very greasy. That is apparently what they are aiming for! Thai green curry (come on, surely every thai restaurant can do this one ok....) Nope. Thin, lacking on spice or any notable flavour. And the manager's response when i described our experience was to say happily that that is exactly as they would expect the food to be delivered! So if you like your Thai food bland, watery, lacking in the main ingredients, greasy and generally disappointing, then this is the place for you. They aim to cater for you!

Awful. Tasteless greasy food. Prawn starter contained 3 prawns. Tofu main only 2 pieces of tofu. You would do far better with a kit from a supermarket

Visited for the first time with children and was very impressed with the quality of food and friendliness of staff. All our food was super tasty.

This was SUCH great food. Me and my partner barely spoke whilst we were eating because it was so good. Very quick service too, we were the only ones there (we went on a Sunday) but it was getting a lot of takeaways. A Haslemere gem!

Ordered with deliveroo. Food very expensive soo had higher expectations. All sides arrived cold and unappetising. Deliveroo refused to take it up with the restaurant. Spend over £70 for a small. Order so overall disappointing.

Really enjoyed the Thai tonight that was delivered to our door. Beef was tender and sauce was hot but not too hot and full of flavour. Desert is my favourite. Sweet tooth.

Absolutely delicious food, full of flavour!Friendly staff, lovely decor. The fried rice was one of the best we’ve ever had. Pad Thai and Panang curry were great too - loaded with large juicy king prawns. Incredibly good value for money. Can’t recommend highly enough!!

Had a take out. Massaman sauce was overly watery and chicken was rubbery, a couple of pieces were so bad I couldn't eat them. My other half had no complaints but compared to other Thai restaurants I've eaten at the food is definitely lacking in flavour and quality, also the portions were very small.

Two previous good experiences, one eating in and one take away....however this time, given wrong order after 20 minute delay, had to take food back. Finally got correct order found it Luke warm at best when got home, clearly just left on the side when they realised they had given wrong food out. Will not be using again

No Thai beer, told when receiving menu that they close at 9pm … maybe concentrate on diners who eat in first, not deliveroo!

Best Thai meal ever! I have eaten in so many Thai restaurants over many years but the recent take away I had from Sabai Thai Kitchen was the best I have had. Good portion size and so tasty. Was my first visit but will definitely be retuning soon.

After several visits to this restaurant, I can say their food is absolutely delicious and the services is always good. The portions are generous and the price is fair, plus, the delivery option has saved us a few nights of cooking when we wanted a nice, healthy meal but didn't want to cook. Highly recommended this place!

This place is amazing! Went for dinner tonight and was SO pleasantly surprised. Steamed sea bass was beautifully cooked and amazing value, the Tom Yum was absolutely delicious. If I could give it six stars I would. Totally empty as well which was a massive shame as this food is sensational and obviously cooked with love.
