We celebrated a 70th birthday with a superb lunch in a beautiful room upstairs. The room was very cozy, private and smart looking. The food was delicious. The staff very efficient and helpful

This is not a meal it is an experience, it is high quality food served in an environment second to none, the service is brilliant, so brilliant you dont remember who served you with respect to those who did. The food is best described as a painting on a plate, the different tastes, colours and presentation place this restaurant high on the list when visiting Farnham, my daughter booked this meal for my 85th birthday treat and knowiing I am bit if a "Foody" she thought I would enjoy the treat and boy did I ever, the whole afternoon spent in this restaurant was an afternoon well spent. Try it, absorbe it and enjoy it, you will not regret it.

I have lunch there once a week or once every two weeks. Food is great, the service is very good and staff are friendly. Highly recommend for hanging out with friends and family.

We came for an early last Sunday lunch. Delicious food, excellent service with a smile.

The receptionist in the purple outfit had a terrible attitude and kept pulling a sour face. When we were paying, she maintained that sour expression and didn’t say a word, just shoved the card reader in front of me. I’m absolutely furious and will never come back here again. The food was just average Thai cuisine, and with service like this, I’d rather eat somewhere else.

I think Giggling squid has to be my favourite Thai now. And I've eaten in a lot of Thai restaurants and worked in one too. Get a Fresh Tahi Salad with your main it is absolutely delicious. As are all the dishes there.

Friendly and efficient service. Drinks came out quickly and the food arrived soon after. We did miss our prawn crackers but that was swiftly taken off the bill when highlighted. Overall good experience.

Lovely food and drinks! Good gluten free choice when you scan the bar code. The decor is very chilled and it’s a lovely calm place to hang out with friends.

Lovely Thai restaurant. Flavours on point in each dish. Spice at the right amount of heat. The service is good and the restaurant itself is very nice. Worth a visit.

Absolutely gorgeous food. I don’t usually do reviews but I had to for this place. The Slow Cooked beef was melt in your mouth, it was absolutely delicious. We also had the cashew duck stir fry and it was brilliant. We shared 3 mains between 3 and it was a great amount. Will definitely have to come again!

So incredibly disappointed with Giggling Squid’s customer service regarding our take away we received today. We regularly visit the restaurant and decided to order lunch today via Deliveroo; I wish we saw the reviews on the app first before placing our order which was over £45 for a Friday lunch time treat. The take away was so bad that we didn’t eat it for multiple reasons: my chicken pad Thai had bizarre large tofu chunks in it as though it had been squeezed through a tube (see photo) and had absolutely no flavour, the coconut rice and the “New Loaded Sticky Chicken” my husband ordered was just pure salt. We weren’t confident that it was safe to eat given how badly it had been cooked so decided to call the restaurant to ask what our options were. When I called to ask what can be done, perhaps get a replacement, the most uninterested and rude member of staff said to just ask for a refund on Deliveroo and couldn’t put the phone down any quicker. Such a shame that this once delicious, friendly and unique restaurant has gone downhill and become just any other sub-par take away chain.

Not the place for takeaway. Food tasted like plastic and the crackers were chewy, clearly from the day before. Once you are home you are left to just accept this. Given it’s an expensive takeaway frankly unacceptable. Certainly won’t be ordering again.

This was such a disappointment after an encouraging visit a few months ago. It was by far the worst Thai meal I’ve ever had. All the dishes looked and tasted dull and tired - none of the zingy flavours and interesting textures which should make Thai food such an exciting experience. Service was alright but again failed to match up to the cheerful friendliness one hopes for. After we had finished our meal, my friend revealed that he had been disappointed that I had chosen this as a venue for our meeting due to his poor past experiences. Needless to say, neither of us will waste our money here again!

Very average food again. I went 4 weeks ago and had poor to average food. Was offered a £20 discount if I came back. This was a mistake, as it was no better. The slow cooked beef was over-cooked, dry and not good. Chiken wings - good. One bite salmon - didn't work at all. Actually unpleasant. Sweetcorn & cocnut fritter - pretty decent. Squid skewer - under-cooked and served luke warm. The service was efficient but the staff do not seem happy at all - not sure what is going on here but I suspect the food is shipped in partly cooked, and reheated rather than cooked fresh in house - maybe just another over-extended chain which has lost the essence of good Thai food, and instead become an inauthentic canteen. For the cost - very poor value.

First time visit, very enjoyable, food was excellent and good quality. After our meal the Birthday plate was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Thank you for a lovely evening, we will definitely be back!😄

Really excellent meal at The Giggling Squid, Farnham. This was our first visit to the restaurant and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Staff were all very friendly, polite and welcoming, food quality was first class. Will be returning again soon to sample other wonderful dishes and flavours. Would most certainly recommend The Giggling Squid.

This is a regular treat for us and we look forward to eating here most Sundays. In a beautiful historic building in the lovely historic town of Farnham we always have a nice time here and the staff are always friendly. By the way the food is wonderful too.

Very tasty dishes, friendly service good value

I just love their massaman curry. Seems every time I have it it tastes better. Even our toddlers liked their dishes (btw kids meals are quite large, but a four year old ate most of it, so maybe it's a good size!). Good service. Very kind. We forgot to order enough rice and got it pretty much immediately.

What a lovely find, friendly atmosphere with staff that want to please their customers. Fantastic menu with a wide selection of Thai food and vast drinks menu including cocktails. A really nice place to visit also perfect for a special occasion. But book if you can gets very busy!!!!!

Staff went above and beyond to make sure our evening out was extra special, celebrating our wedding anniversary. Food and drink was exceptional (salt and pepper squid, chicken satay, green Thai curry, mini puddings, cocktails and jasmine tea). We look forward to returning to the Giggling Squid in Farnham.

Quality food and service with a smile

So disappointed with our experience. Was looking forward to celebrating my 50th here but was completely underwhelmed. The waitress was rude, most of the items we wanted were not available and the toilets were covered in wee. The restraunt then emails you for feedback and when supplied negative feedback they reply that my feedback was wrong. I have never left a negative review on Google as do not think it is fair but sadly in this instance truly deserved. Only plus I can give is that it has a lovely location and should have the potential to be a lovely restraunt.

We had a late lunch, from their lunchtime tapas menu. I had the "Royal Set", that was four small portions of lamb massaman curry, duck spring rolls, prawns, and jasmine rice. It was a perfect size for me, and tasted delicious, I would have given it 5 stars, if the food had been served a little bit hotter. We shared a basket of prawn crackers with a nice sweet chilli sauce.

We went there for our parent's 60th anniversary meal. Food and service were absolutely wonderful. Lovely team and would highly recommend. We will be back again.

Fabulous little restaurant; I've been wanting to go here for a while now and it didn't disappoint. The atmosphere is lovely with some beautiful nooks and crannies (even a listed step!) allowing for small groups to gather. The staff were helpful and attentive, but not to the point of annoyance. The food is delicious and beautifully presented - a feast for eyes and belly!

lots of food on the menu not available. rest of what we ordered was so sweet. personally don't like my food sweet so the reason for my low review. maybe if we got what we wanted might have been a lot different? also spent £100 for a family of 4. kinda expensive for what it was at lunch time . kids just had a fried rice

A brilliant works Christmas do last night in this popular farnham eatery. Yummy food, prompt friendly service and a really buzzing atmosphere.

Finally found a good Thai restaurant in UK. Glad to know it is a chain restaurant. The staff are nice and efficient. Food taste is close to those in Asia. Lunch set is at good price The restaurant is clean and well decorated.

The food’s delicious- we had a wonderful time

Although an expanding chain with each location having its own character, the food is consistently good wherever you go. For me the winning dish is the Giggling Set (also called the One Giggling) on the lunch menu - a complete meal on one dish. All very reasonably priced.

Hard to review, we love Giggling Squid but the food just wasn't as good as it used to be. Not sure if it was an off day or not but we didn't walk away feeling like we'd had a lovely meal like we used to. The atmosphere and the staff are lovely and we had a really lovely evening, just the food not being as good as usual marks this down!

I only had a couple of starters as I was meeting a friend for a drink but it was very nice, the staff were really friendly and the prices were reasonable. I’d like to go back and next time I’ll get pics to share.

We've eaten here many times, and chose to visit this time for a GCSE results celebration. Food was good as usual, although we felt the starters were very overpriced. Service was haphazard with some of the mains arriving quite a long time before the rest of the mains and the side dishes. We only had water for drinks, but were told we couldn't have a jug on the table, even though they have jugs, so had to keep trying to catch someone to fill our small glasses up. This was a silly nonsense that meant we were often without a drink, and caused hassle for the busy waiters and waitresses. Two of the English waitresses seemed to have an issue with each other, which wasn't professional. Overall, a lovely meal in a lovely restaurant, but with a high price tag.

Visited for and evening meal, was busy and food took about 40 minutes to come. Was a really nice meal but given the 1hr 45 deadline when booking only time felt a bit squished.

Really good food and plenty of choice for vegetarian as well as meat and fish choices. A lovely atmosphere, very relaxed and the service is friendly and professional.
